with PCLinuxOS, you can run a number of applications simultaneously and seamlessly without latency or crushing. It further comes with a number of pre-installed and popular applications such as Chrome and Spotify, unlike with other OS's which require separate installations. It also has KOffice, a complete suite of daily productivity software. It is light and not resource intensive and can therefore be installed on a machine with considerably low specs. It is also free, unlike other licensed counterparts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PCLinuxOS does not offer a lot of themes and menus unlike other OS's, which probably explains the difference in size. It only comes in 64x and may be initially challenging to operate especially when you're used to Windows settings Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As stated above the free software certainly has a very attractive price tag. It's not regularly used as an OS by the general public which tends to lend itself to hack prevention by default. It's not popular for the obvious reason as it's not preinstalled on computers. If people would try it out themselves they would come to find a very comfortable OS. Too much like windows? In a way hurts it I think? Also not enough like windows in other ways. Really just nitpicking but certain things are not as intuitive as they should be with a lifetime of Windows under someone's belt. But google will be your friend for awhile and things will come up roses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
