During implementation the flexibility of the platform is really showcased and you can build and refine custom codes, reports, and workflows. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** The reporting feature is quite cumbersome and not enough time is dedicated to training on it. There are multiple ways to build custom reports (stock reports that can be moderately customized and saved, Dynamic Reports, and Report Writer) so finding what you're looking for is diffcult. Report Writer's UI is especially old-fashioned and bloated. **What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?** The one-on-one work with our finance team to build something that seamlessly integrates with our accounting software has been amazing. Lack of accountability taken when implementation set us up incorrectly. It logs me out quickly and while I am in the middle of something. Cannot impersonate employee profiles to help guide them. Payroll and Time & Labor are terrible, making mistakes with PTO tracking and labor allocations that no one can fix. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** There are many errors, particularly with the payroll software making mistakes in tracking employees' PTO and sick time. It often doesn't get it right, and we've had to manually correct it. The system doesn't recognize all labor allocations for staff, which are crucial for our grant accounting, forcing us to do manual journal entries. We've had to reach out to customer service multiple times, and the issue remains unsolved. Changes were made to our W-2 settings without our consent, leading to significant errors. The onboarding was extremely rough and our state tax filings don't seem to ever be correct. The implementation specialist was very disorganized and did not take input. It took many rounds and caused many different errors, making the onboarding process unnecessarily difficult. I've rarely called and been able to talk to my account manager. She is too busy. So, Paylocity keeps a line of support staff to help. I can create myself an employee profile to do those functions but then I am charged additional fees for that profile despite not being paid through paylocity.
