**What do you like best about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

Pathmatics is so easy to use and offers a range of features to help in every phase of media strategy, planning, buying & execution. Their visualizations make it easy to drop into decks as well and save time. I can easily see the competitive landscape, where we are, how we stack up, where we need to be. I can easily comp creative on a prospective publisher, pull competitive creative and spend. Its an all around backbone for anyone in digital marketing.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

Pathmatics adds functionality all the time but there is still work to do in order to be utilized as a true global partner. They do cover most crucial geographies though. The main caveat you often here is when it comes to spend analysis you have to take it with a grain of salt and use the data directionally. It isn't 100% accurate but nor can it be. At the least I have confidence in their methodology but there will be blind spots (albeit sometimes large blind spots).

All around strategic fuel for ad intelligence, competitive intelligence, and marketing analytics. It is a complete dashboard to tap into when planning a campaign, buying inventory, optimizing, and keeping an eye on the competition's plans, spend/media mix, and creative messaging.

The methodology which lets us look into social networks as well as standard display is especially valuable.

There are two pain points for me - one is the lack of search data, the other is the low level of product detail. Granted I can get to the specific creative execution, but I don't really want to look at every one of them to determine the specific product being advertised.

In a difficult area of measurement, this is the best thing going.

**What do you like best about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

The ease of use for this platform has made my pitches for clients much easier. By seeing all of the current ads running across platforms also allows our teams to model or use what's running to pitch like to like campaigns. I really appreciate the blend of video/static options and performance.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

The only change I have at the moment is purely selfish as I wish we could get the images without the "Ad" buttons but this is so minor it's negligible.

This has helped my team when working with an agency that may not have all of the assets running for clients. By showcasing these, the pitch for the same assets is easier to complete as the client may not have been aware they had them.

There is nothing much to dislike, but everyone will like the product once they use it on a daily basis.

**What do you like best about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

Pathmatics is a good resource to see what media your competitors are running. You can see creative messaging across their media and a full breakdown of what websites they have media running on, along with impressions and spend. You can also see the allocation of spend/impressions across Display/Video/Social Media. Another helpful tool is the graphs they include, as you can see MoM or Quarterly spend across all sites as well.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

There seems to be a lot of discrepancies with the media spend and impressions. I compared my client's media spend that was report on Pathmatics to the actual spend, and there were huge differences. Not sure what other discrepancies exist but the tool should be used as guidance at most rather than actual competitive insights. Another discrepancy I noticed was sometimes spend changes when you repull a report - for example I repulled the same report a week later and the spend was not matching the previous report.

While Pathmatics is a great tool for guidance, be aware of what discrepancies may exist before making recommendations or adjustments to your media campaigns.

Pathmatics was extremely helpful in seeing what creative messaging competitors are running. They have a catalog of all their historic creative, which is very insightful when doing competitive analysis and recommending what key messaging my client should keep in mind when building creative. The allocation in spend across different sites is also helpful as guidance when recommending how much money should be spend on Display vs. Video vs. Social Media.

The OTT feature is new, which I love, but I find that for some advertisers, it will say $0 - when I have seen an OTT commercial for them.

We have started using it as part of creative briefings now which has been extremely useful. It is helping creative teams get their heads around what good and bad ideas look like once they are pushed into digital shapes.

The UI is very clean and intuitive. It's easy for brand new users to jump into the data and extract valuable business insights very quickly. The page loads information fast, making it easy to follow a path of investigation and understand how advertisers are spending their dollars.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

It would be great to have more app-specific information, but Pathmatics has done a great job adding some of the biggest apps like FB and Instagram. I do always emphasize to my Sales team that revenue estimates are just that - estimates, and the platform can't magically know what the real dollar value actually is. I'd also like more mobile web video information beyond YouTube.

**What problems is Pathmatics by Sensor Tower solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want a comprehensive understanding of where ad dollars are going in real-time. Pathmatics helps our Sales org see what their advertisers are doing outside of our four walls and gives us insight into new potential relationships. Although we have tools to see what advertisers are buying us programmatically, these are silo'd. Pathmatics allows us to see indirect buying in one easy view and prioritize those buyers who are spending enough money to become potential lead generation targets.

It's incredibly user-friendly and has beautiful visuals. Data is well-formatted and little cleaning is involved before it's ready to share with other team members. The platform makes it very easy to compare multiple advertiser spends and creatives.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

Sometimes it's difficult to ascertain whether or not two data sets can be compared, such as the YoY spend of one company as compared to another. While most advertisers are available within the platform, there is considerable variability with regards to subbrands of larger CPG and pharmaceutical companies. It's difficult to segment audiences and understand how they compare to one another.

**Recommendations to others considering Pathmatics by Sensor Tower:**

If you are used to using other market research platforms that are difficult to learn how to use effectively and take a while to pull data, you owe it to yourself to try Pathmatics. After using clunky, older research tools, Pathmatics is nothing short of a delight. It feels modern and is user-friendly to the extent that you can learn to pull meaningful data in only a few minutes as compared to the hours of onboarding other research tools required to be effective. Additionally, the platform seems to be consistently updated and is always adding new features.

Understanding client competitor spend and use of creatives. The platform allows for quick pulls which makes it a go-to tool when I have to quickly turnaround research requests for RFPs. The visualization tools on the platform have made it easier to understand trends in spend over time and how competitors approach different activation strategies like creative rotations.

The category section, breakdown of creatives, and the report builder are all beneficial in getting an idea of the online advertising landscape. The fact that I am aware of the ongoing works to Pathmatics and the progress they are making over the year is also very encouraging. The ease of contact with our Pathmatics contacts as well as has made it very easy to et any questions answered very quickly. More generally, using Pathmatics has allowed me to essentially carry out my job better, it has simplified the proccess of generating leads for my team, providing data about the biggest spenders and also creating interesting insights to share around my business.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

It would be very helpful if it were easier to break down Facebook data by display and video. It would also be great to see "top creatives" in the top advertiser's tab. A big thing that would be fantstic also would be to split the data by agency, however I am aware that this is something that is already being looked in to by Pathmatics.

**Recommendations to others considering Pathmatics by Sensor Tower:**

I would recommend staying in touch with the Pathmatics team with questions and making the best of all of the different features available on the software.

**What problems is Pathmatics by Sensor Tower solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit I use Pathmatics for is lead generation - locating who are the biggest spenders. As time has gone, I have more found myself using it for wider and larger data pulls to get ideas of historical spend, often over the course of a year. Even today I have had request from much further up my business to pull pathmatics data, so it's been utility to the business is evident

**What do you like best about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

I like the quick and straightforward infographics that are provided with each data pull - I often implement the spend/impressions over time charts directly into tactical decks for my client. I also track quite a few brands, so it's helpful to be able to 'follow' those advertisers and see impression spikes right away on my homepage.\

Another small thing I wanted to call out is that I love how it's easy to switch between advertisers and the date range stays the same- that was a nice little piece of UX because I'm often pulling for a bunch of different advertisers among the same date range so that saves me time.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

Sometimes looking at the pieces of creative, it isn't easy to identify which landed where and when, especially when the same image shows up a bunch of times over within the advertisers profile. 
A month or two ago I was trying to get a read out on promotion behind a few specific Facebook posts that I knew were live based on Facebook Ad Library, however it took about three weeks for them to show up. I understand this is due to the Panel data collection, and likely low spend behind the posts - but if Pathmatics were to be improved, larger panel sizes might be helpful! I've often noticed that when a piece of Facebook creative does show up, the date on the screenshot is from a few weeks prior, which makes me wonder if the data isn't being pulled in that fast.

I'd reccomemend pairing with other competitive analysis tools such as Nielsen Ad-Intel to get a full readout on media spend across non-digital channels.

Finding out where our clients competitors are spending and when, and what their creative looks like. Using pathmatics digital reporting is the fastest we get data compared to other tools.

The level of detail surrounding site lists, the creative library, and easy-to-download segmentable data are without a doubt the best features. Other competitive tools I've worked with in the past require a decent amount of raw data refinement post download, but Pathmatics data is provided in a clean and pivotable mannor. Also, the frequency and lack of latency in which data is updated offer the ability to give timely updates.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

I would love to be able to see more granular product-specific information. For example, categorizing the creative library into the key product types advertised would be helpful for brands with multiple offerings. Also, the expansion of other digital platform monitoring will be extremely helpful as the landscape continues to evolve. For example, a few recommendations would be to add in streaming audio spend, eCommerce presence, additional social platforms, branded/custom cntent integrations, etc.

I would strongly recommend adding Pathmatics into your toolkit to provide clients or internal stakeholders with clear pictures of competitive tracking to help inform critical business decisions.

**What problems is Pathmatics by Sensor Tower solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The key benefit is the ability to uncover insights into the digital buying strategies of critical competitors for our clients. For example, we were recently able to find a newly-launched competitive campaign which enabled us to act quickly into conquesting support to protect stature in the category. It also provides an ability to see how closely a strategy for a specific client aligns with competitors and what type of opportunities there are to break through messaging to differentiate.

I love the ability to sort by category and by site to see the top advertisers in specific spaces.  I've seen a lot of success in reaching out to new prospects with a targeted opportunity for them.  I've been able to do this because of Pathmatics' category and site-specific advertiser data.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

I'm disappointed that Pathmatics (to my knowledge) doesn't seem to allow for sorting geographically.  It would be a massive help to me if I had the ability to view advertisers based on their home city / main DMA / area where they are serving impressions / or something else along those lines.

**What problems is Pathmatics by Sensor Tower solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pathmatics has helped me sort through the overwhelming number of potential advertisers and leads & allowed me to choose only the most qualified and highest quality.  This has benefited me greatly because it has really improved my efficiency in the prospecting process.  I have a higher success rate with my seed emails and am scheduling more meetings ever since using Pathmatics to guide my prospecting choices.

How it breaks down the spending in marketing for various clients and gives insight into who and where clients and similar clients are spending their money so that i may assist them better in making smart decisions to increase their business impact and ROI. Knowing that my clients are spending in digital makes it easier for me to approach them with different aspects of my digital options to expand what they are doing already. The information is useful for any and all who deal in marketing

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

The slow process of getting a client added to the listing and the lack of detail on client broadcast radio spend. Even if a client hasnt been added to the pathmatics listings without information it would be easier to add the clients to a watchlist in case they spend otherwise. choices between types of graphs would be nice as staring at repetitive line graphs every time has made me miss some changes while i have been browsing.

Research all companies that you might be working with. The information is very useful for any and all who are working in marketing

client spending with other advertisers and other options. I am using what i find with Pathmatics to track and adapt the current advertising and marketing solutions with the clients i can find withing its servers. The benifits allow me to know if a client updates their creative and forgetting to tell me. Ultimately the uses and potential for pathmatics is almost boundless and gives more benefits and uses than one first realized.

I love how user-friendly the platform is. I've used competitor platforms in the past and Pathmatics is definitely the most intuitive and it required no training.
I love how easy it is to pull up the creatives, and how they can link directly to the YouTube link for quick reference. I also like how you're easily able to break out each advertiser by brand.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

I think there are definitely some gaps in data such as digital audio, paid search, and obviously offline media. It would be helpful to see if there was more information about each advertiser available for a more holistic view.

Play around the tool to understand the different use cases as it relates to digital ad spend.There is a wealth of data if you click around.

I am using Pathmatics to assess media spend and get insight into what platforms other competitors in my client's verticals are buying media from. This helps my team make sure we are assessing other opportunites on the table.

Pathmatics offers a friendly UI that is easy-to-use and navigate. You can type in the name of any client, prospect, competitor, etc. and get insights in seconds. Then you can export those insights into multiple format types, whatever suits your needs.

A lot of our clients on regionally based (car dealerships, multi-location restaurants, etc.) and we are only able to drill down to the country level with the data.

Pathmatics is a great tool for providing directional insights. They are also always adding features and data to the platform which shows their commitment to the accuracy and quality of their product. Their reps are friendly, insightful, and attentive.

Showing up to client meetings full of insights and data. This has helped my overall CNA process and prevents me from asking questions that I can easily research myself. This way, we can be 5 steps ahead of where we were before. REALLY LOVE FEELING LIKE A TRUE EXPERT/RESEARCHER WHEN I WALK INTO A MEETING!

I wish we could view local accounts. Right now I believe it is only large MMP accounts. Also- every time I submit a request I have never seen them added into the Pathmatics systems. Sometimes I feel restricted on what I have access to.

Finding out digital spend and strategy! Never before have I been able to walk into a client meeting and know exactly where their digital spend is going and what platforms they invest in over others.

The UI is very intuitive and easy to understand. The insights in the platform are very valuable (although use directionally), and the data loads super quickly. The graphs that are  provided make the data easily digestible and can be exported in different formats (PDF or PPT), which makes it very easy to provide competitive insights to your client and/or for to help put together more robust strategic plans for RFPs.

The data isn't always accurate and needs to be used directionally. It would be nice if Pathmatics provided some insight into how the data is being collected and what confidence level percentage they have for the advertiser being researched.

Pathmatics is easy to use and allows me to prepare for exploratory meetings with prospects and existing clients quickly.  The simple layout and aggregation of both Spend and Creative will enable me to have insights into a brand's strategy before having a meeting with them.  It also allows me to discover prospects who aren't on my radar, but are currently using platforms or strategies that I can competativley offer.

While Pathmatics is constantly working on adding businesses to its database, I would like to see more and more Regional and Large Single Market brands included.  Adding OTT spending would significantly improve the tool since so many of those budgets are lumped into display and social buckets.  Additional Social Platform reporting would be great too as more companies invest in TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.  Demographic and Geographic information about Who these ads were served to would make this one of, if not The Best tool for Media Companies to use when prospecting.  There are A LOT of tools out there already, but the more information that can be accessed on a single platform, the better.

So many QSRs and other franchises appear to be completely seperate companies when you compare the national social account to a local one.

I enjoy how quickly data populates into the program. If a brand just launched a campaign, we can typically see spend, impressions, and creative examples within the first 48 hours. This is unlike any other measurement platform I've used, where there is usually a lag in data collection that lasts 30-50 days.

I wish there was more information about other digital spend on other platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitch, etc. Sometimes, data isn't 100% accurate, so we have the guess that spend is 10% less than the actual amount each brand was spending based on comparison to our own client's spend.

Seeing high-quality captures of existing creative allows me to quickly understand what our creative, or our competitors' creative, looks like in-market. Being able to see where ads are running in terms of site placement is also incredibly useful to identify industry trends and new opportunities to expand our own presence.

I wish we were able to receive more digestible insights. When you're looking at a small company without many ads, it's pretty straightforward, but when you're working with enterprise orgs, it can sometimes feel overwhelming to go through all the banners, social posts, and videos. It would be nice if Pathmatics could group similar creative to make it easier to do so, whether it's based on design or where ads are running, etc.

I often wonder who is spending the most on advertising in a given category.  This platform answers that question to a T.  I like that I can pick any type and then see the top spenders list for that category.  I also like that I can see what creative advertisers are running.  This makes prospecting easier and I can better understand their pain points before the cna.

If I could pick something that I dislike is there are some advertisers where it seems their video's organic content is getting assigned a revenue value.  For example... If a client posts a video to their studio, it appears that the video gets organic views shortly after the post.  This organic traffic the client gets is assigned a dollar value in Pathmatics.  The amount they are spending may not be that high.  It would be interesting if the organic or short-term creative could be taken out of the buy to get a more accurate spend WHENT HAT IS HAPPENING.

Having to start over each time you look at creative for a client. If I click on a client listed under direct sites and select their creative, then I have to go back and selct direct advertisers again and select a new advertiser, instead of being able to return where I left off on the list of advertisers.

Take your time and look at everything Pathmatics has to offer; it can seem overwhelming at times, but every tool and section is beneficial and can provide helpful insights. I was also told that the impressions and advertiser spend is not allways accurrate so do not lead with that kind of information. Instead look at it as a rough estimate of a cleints possible spending power and soley focus on where that advertiser is spending at and on which sites. A lot of the sites match up to our products and allows for an awesome valid business reason and conversation starter.

This is an excellent prospecting tool that provides a great deal of information about clients. Where they are currently spending, possible impressions and budget amount. Pathmatics platform is super easy to use. Pulls the information I need quickly.  And lastly, their customer support has been fantastic!

I Wish they covered more media channels.

I like that the tools are easy to find and figure out. The data that I can pull from these tools is concise and easy to digest. I love that there are different exporting options.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

I would love to see an expansion of the creative details that you can pull from an advertiser. I would like to see what an advertiser has currently running in-market, as well as creatives that they've run in the past.

I am able to pull detailed reporting that defines my client's digital efforts, as well as reporting on competitor efforts.

Pathmatics is a one stop shop for prospecting digital advertisers.

I dislike the excel format when you download lists.

I've found a plethora of new businesses to prospect! I can also see current and past creative for prospects and clients.

**What do you like best about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

Simplicity, speed, and organization.  Pathmatics makes it incredible easy to find information on digital competitors, or identify trends in the digital media space.

**What do you dislike about Pathmatics by Sensor Tower?**

Sometimes the data is inconsistent or cannot all be tracked so there are some holes in the data.  This is common for most tools, though.  It would be great if Pathmatics could very clearly tell you what exactly is and isn't captured within a specific set of results.

**Recommendations to others considering Pathmatics by Sensor Tower:**

If you're looking for a digital research tool that is WAY easier to use than classic desktop competitive analysis software, this is it!

**What problems is Pathmatics by Sensor Tower solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm trying to keep track of competitor activity to ensure our media balance is on par with similar advertisers.  I'm also trying to keep track of trends in the marketplace.
