I love everything about ParentSquare! It has been a total game changer in our school district, opening up the doors of communication between families and staff. Their customer service is top-notch as well. The ParentSquare team is always looking for ways to innovate, making improvements that advance school communication and family collaboration, and they truly listen to our requests. As a district administrator, it was a seamless rollout and our families and staff absolutely love it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That we didn't jump ship to ParentSquare sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easiest way for the office staff and teachers to communicate with parents efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the feed gets mixed up and takes me to look at older posts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease to message multiple people at once without having to type in their email or deal with difficult email settings to make groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The translation feature needs more options for users that are bi or multilingual. It is difficult to understand a message that was originally written in Spanish when translated into English. I don't have the option of receiving my messages in the language it is written in because it forces me to choose one language only, and it would need to be English because we live in the US. I'd like to receive my messages in the original language that is either English or Spanish rather than be locked to choosing English only. The translation will never be great, no matter the program. Many nuances in language change the meaning of messages, especially in education when parents are trying to communicate about their children. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was a super quick way to communicate with parents. I could check replies on my phone at home or wait until school to reply. More reliable than a student bringing a note in from home. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My school now uses this as their primary form of communication. I hate that I can't save info for later use, like with emails. Sometimes when information is sent, I don't always have the time to read it right away. I missed out on things because they got lost in my "newsfeed" of communication. ParentSquare is a good way to keep a collection of communication. Built in translations can be helpful to reach multiple populations. Linking to an SIS to automatically populate groups to message is more helpful than inputting each email individually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ParentSquare doesn't save progress in drafts, so if you accidentally close or navigate away from the page, all work is lost. Picture and video attachments are not streamlined and are difficult to ensure they are sent properly. The amount of notifications can feel overwhelming to parents, which actually has them checking messages less frequently. You aren't able to send messages to only a select group of parents. You can send individual messages, but not groups, so email is still necessary in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My whole site uses Parentsquare to communicate with our families. Each student and family member must sign up for Parentsquare at the beginning of the year. This ensures that teacher messages will be recieved. It is also easy to use, and I love that I can schedule posts in advance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I currently do not have any issues with Parentsquare. Before our site adopted it, I had to send emails through our grading system, which not everyone recieved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how ParentSquare handles mass communication and SIS integration. They've made a lot of improvements to the interfaces as well as remediation of issues with students transferring between multiple districts using ParentSquare. A lot of work has gone into making it more useable and user-friendly from the end user standpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple things, such as remediating student issues with the student registration emails, continues to be a little frustrating. I have asked for an enhancement to put all the student management info and remediation issues in one spot, but it seems to still be all over the place. For instance, I can edit student user info under each individual school, but can't work out of the district level from that standpoint. Instead of going to the Admin tab and utilizing the Users section to remediate student email verifications in which the emails were rejected, I have to go to the full directory for the individual school, search for the exact name of the student and remediate registration issues from there...one at a time. When there are only a few items, this isn't so bad...however, when there are a lot of new students, this is very time-consuming as there is also no way to do mass remediations of this type. It is very user-friendly along with translation if parents need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
a couple downsides are that it may be confusing to differentiate posts with messages along with grouping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how easy it is to access the contact information of students and all their family members, as well as how easy it is to send mass communication to families and classes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike how it looks to the recipient when it groups message chains together in an email. Not all parents only log in through parentsquare and the formatting through which the emails come through is out of order chronologically, making it easy to miss key information.
