Top Rated Parasoft Virtualize Alternatives
User interface and features. The support from Parasoft has been amazing both during the POC and with project migration efforts and support issues. Some of the features which were missed during our POC were actually added by the time we purchased the tool a few months later. It is rare to find a vendor that listens AND implements customer suggestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Parasoft provides wide range of features most important feature is database support which makes sandbox development of APIs dynamic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While working, i found issue when we moving responder from one place to another so it converted the type of the responder. Like "Input Request" converted to "Input Request Header" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy import of the yaml files and auto generated api resources ready to use, datarepos configurations is easy to do and lot of tool options to achieve the task Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
More documentation and end to end tutorials on how to develope rest api mocks, if those are available readily when we get started with the tool. that'd be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease to build and manage virtual services using virtualize IDE. A single location to keep track of all information about virtualized services, integrated test data management, and additional tools to view and manage incoming and outgoing traffic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
overall I am satisfied with the tools and services but would like to see a few enhancements like the ease to view changes while reviewing (git), and license support on the cloud (how to renew licenses without signing a new contract for regular maintenance?) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Well, I have been using this tool for the last 2 years and this is helping us in all the critical scenarios we have. Not only that also it is helping us to do our customized scripting whenever required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Well, few features like Magic String capabilities are not available, I am surely looking for such soon which will increase our productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have 2 environments with Virtualize:
1. Frontend HTML served by endpoints accessible by our 'acceptance' employees who will accept software companies. We build Virtualize endpoints with HTML pages, which from there we control Parasoft server as backend (like a website), so only administrators work at the tests in Virtualize and 'users' from the webpage.
The magical stuff happens in the backend, sending REST requests, handling responses and writing data to the repository, writing responses to the server hard drive as files, creating new variables like GUID and datetimes and 'tokens' and results are written to the repository and showed in the frontend!
2. Simulator of Healthcare data sources. Endpoints serving HL7 SOAP XML messages. Some incoming data we need to save in a Postgresql DB to serve later in outgoing messages. Some XML incoming messages we send to other servers to validate XML messages.
It's really easy to set up endpoints, create a response test, set up the body like whatever you want. With your mouse, you drag the project to the servers and the endpoint is already live! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Something difficult to find a good solution, manuals are sometimes professionally written by experts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My background is systems engineering, and network protocol analysis, so this tool sings to me, as I know when, where, and how to solve problems with this tool.
First off is protocol and data structure support. Most scenarios were drop in the driver jars and update the transport config in a UI tab.
We have done IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ, JMS, SOAP (XML), REST(JSON/XML). Synchronous, Asynchronous, time based, you name it.
Even complex MQ single request with multi-response. Blew away our app dev team how easy it was to simulate complex time-based systems. I was asked, why don't we use this tool in Production? Advice is though awesome, don't use it as a stop gap to build things in production.
Did I mention its easy? So many ways to solve problems, you can load a wsdl/swagger, etc. You can record traffic, or even build services out from ground up. It has built in and extensible data support, from an in-memory table, to csv, to NoSQL data repository.
Has even newer test data management capabilities which looked awesome, though we did not buy that add on.
Environment Manager is awesome ability to put the environment configuration control in front of the test team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not really the tools fault, but there were a couple old technologies that were problematic 30-60yr old.
JDBC Virtualization works well against modern DB during POC and training, however, we had an older database protocol in our environment that was challenging to get to work.
We ended up using a tailored test data management tool from that same provider as the db.
We even experimented with reverse engineering a proprietary TN3270 protocol but did a cost benefit analysis and instead virtualized at another layer, which was way easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My Background is DevOps and infrastructure side. I moved to the automation testing stream a year ago and came across this excellent tool ( Parasoft Virtualize ) which helps us in different ways. Easy to virtualize and can write its script, making the process a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Right now, at this moment, I didn't find any dislikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thick client helped us set up our environments seamlessly and implement our testing solutions for our development teams on the fly. The ability to replicate manual processes and ensure full coverage of environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Out-of-the-box settings were a bit off. We did have to do some self-tuning. It would be nice to have installed or had a wizard walk us through the Java JVM settings as part of the main install media. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Test environment management for easy self-service and integration with CI/CD or RPA tools via APIs.
Extensive support for technologies and message types.
Ease of use, in the desktop client, and via browser Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In my opinion there is nothing wrong with the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps to become the continuous testing a reality. Also is easy to use and intuitive! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
