**What do you like best about Paradox?**

Paradox is helpful with scheduling our interviews and managing our candidates post offer

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

It’s not very intuitive in conversations. Confuses candidates and leads to some pretty bad answers on our applications. For example I had someone who put their address after the wage question and greatly inflated their wage. It can lead to people getting weeded out unnecessarily.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

The implementation and customer service is very efficient and accessible. You will not only get a Customer Success Manager to help you with every step during your implementation phase but your issues will also likely be resolved within the same day. Parados has been very time-saving and cuts down on back-and-forth communication between job candidates and recruiters.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

I feel it has been extremely helpful! I notice that a recruiter could rely too much on the tech and lose the personal touch that true recruiting takes. It has been quite the learning experience and I believe we have grown a lot since implementation.

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has done wonders for scheduling, tracking and automating the process in one work environment. We are getting to the point where we will need an additional recruiter to handle the load of new candidates.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

What I like most about Paradox is that it really saves time.  I am no longer having to manuelly contact applicants or filter through them to find the ones that fit our needs.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

Could be slightly more user friendly.  However, I will say that once you figure it out, it gets easier.

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem Paradox is solving for us is contacting the applicants immediatly after they apply.  When someone is looking for job, they are sitting around waiting on us to contact them.  Many times, we'd reach out to a candidate the day after they applied and they wouldn't respond at all.  We took this as, they already found a job.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

The use of Paradox and the virtual recruiter Olivia has increased my interview rate, safed an enormous amount of time and drastically shortened my days from apply to offer

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

Its a prety robust software package but if I was to suggest 1 improvement it would be the availability of canned reports like  applicates received within a time frame, same for interviews conducted and offers made.  Currently you must run an a big report and either manuall de-select items or create a spreadsheet and remove items

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It essentially provides (Through a virtual recruiter) an automated recruitment tool saving the payroll of hiring an assistant or additional recruiter. It takes an enormous amount of administrative tasks off my plate allowing me to concentrate on hiring

Simple set-up, great initial and on-going support from Paradox representative, tailored functions to meet specific recruitment needs, straightforward applicant engaement process

No-call, no-show rate, AI doesn't respond appropriately (yet!) to all questions and responses from applicants, some functions/stages are redundant

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paradox has significantly improved our office ability to reach and instantly connect with potential hires. It has enabled applicants to actively participate in the initial screening and scheduling process. Allowing applicants to have creative control of their individual engagement level allows our team the opportunity to review and select the most engaged candidates!

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

At this point, we are utilizing almost every Paradox product offering available, and we continue to push them to innovate at pace with our business. The best part is that they deliver! They are by far the most innovative, adaptive, and responsive vendor we have worked with - focusing on building great technology that solves our business problems of today and tomorrow, rather than trying to sell us software. Their customer success teams are the best in the business and the product teams have fantastic vision, building clean, simple solutions that create frictionless (and fun) candidate and recruiter experiences.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

I believe that the full potential of Paradox is most accessible when using their native products and systems - rather than integrating with an ATS or CRM. While they have an incredibly talented integrations team that supports standard and custom integrations, I believe that companies that make the transformational leap from traditional HR tech to a Paradox-centric experience will reap the most benefit.

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Too many to list. Honestly a better what to put it is that for every challenge we come across, we always start with "can Paradox help us solve for this?" The answer is usually "yes." We have consolidated so much of our tech stack into Paradox solutions, that we rarely need to look beyond Paradox for much these days. Name a recruiting function, and we are probably using Paradox for it today. The benefits are automation, simplicity, efficiency, frictionless experiences, customization, innovation, and quick adaptability when new challenges arise.

The reports can be a little complicated to read at times.  But the team has worked with us to explain and customize.

I like it all. From the AI working to being able to step in when needed. Adjustments to interview types and set locations. a managable calendar

no color coordination between locations to easily see which interview goes with which office(partial reason more of our office havent been added). Clicking each applicant from the calendar opening up a whole new web tab. constantly having to close tabs can be annoying. not a game changer just annoying

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

The most helpful is the automation with Olivia. I appreciate how quick paradox can respond to any issue that may arise. Lots of excellent open communication between us.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

We mentioned this on the call but main dislike would be testing not being handled on Paradox's side before sending over to our end. A lot of back and forth could be removed if paradox completed testing on any resolution to an issue before letting us know it has been fixed.

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For my units in the field Paradox is assisting my managers with autoscheduling and recruiting automation. Managers benefit with the olivia application as it is fairly quick & user friendly on both web & sms. Autoscheduling has been very useful for the units that utilize it, they love being able to autoschedule interviews as soon as candidates apply, saves them lots of time when it comes to reaching out to candidates individually. The virtual fair platform is a great tool that a few of my units utilize, i always recommend having a virtual fair run monthly to gain more applicant traffic via virtual events. This is very useful to managers that are very busy and do not have the time to organize an in person job fair.

It took a bit longer then I would have liked to get things organized and on a smooth operation.

The convenience and efficiencies that Olivia, virtual assistant provides to candidates, recruiters and hiring managers. It saves us so much time.

No downsides. We'd love it if they could function as a full ATS.

I love how innovative the company is. We were recently introduced to a new feature/technology by Paradox and can't wait to try it out. The platform is also very user-friendly so it's easy to train new team members on it.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

I feel the staff is overloaded. Specifically, during our launch, small website edits/changes were taking weeks when our contract outlined 24-48 hours. Grace has been VERY responsive ever since I raised my concern about the time it's taking and things have been a lot better. I'm quite impressed with the customer service and onboarding process as well.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

We are a large home care agency in the NYC suburbs using Olivia to attract caregivers as employees.  We’ve been using Oliva by Paradox for 90 days.  In that time, we’ve had interactions with over 500 candidates and have hired nearly 50 employees.  Olivia has been a valuable tool to screen, qualify and schedule candidates for interviews.  The “mobile first” interaction with candidates is exactly what we’ve been looking for to attract and engage candidates.  Managing candidates through the hiring funnel is easy and clear.  Also, it’s easy to communicate via text with candidates – and all the interactions are recorded for later review and conversation refinement.  Reporting and analytics have been excellent too. When we started, we had an urgent need to get the platform up and running.  The Paradox implementation and support team has been outstanding – very responsive and helpful.

Very happy with Olivia.  No dislikes so far.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

Paradox is a great company with an amazing staff.  As a retail company with a higher turnover, we struggled with our hiring managers' post apply response time.  Paradox/Olivia helped us shave our response time from 7 days to under 24 hours.   This time saving ensured that the applicants we chose to interview we the best of the bunch.

There is not much I can say here.  They have great prices for their products.  They take care of their clients and they have revolutionary products that are easy to implement.

GIve them a call and let them know the issues you are having with Talent Acqusition/Recruiting and/or candidate experience and i assure you, they will solve your problems

I like and appreciate the intention of the tool relative to reducing the time involved in scheduling interviews and increasing the efficiency of all stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

The implementation process is subpar.  This is my second time to implement the tool.  The first time, the implementation process was bumpy but nothing like I am experiencing currently.  It is one misstep after the next with this implementation team and they attributed these ongoing issues to the fact that they are a growing team.  That is not acceptable.

Olivia gives our Managers time back to focus on operations instead of recruitment.

The downside can be a candidate giving Olivia the wrong email address and when it's time to send hire forms it can be tricky to fix.

Paradox is the answer for any company looking to innovate and improve its recruitment efforts, time-to-hire and hire rate.  Also, it will give time back to Managers or Operators to focus on the business while Olivia focuses on recruitment.

Our hiring team has really appreciated eliminating the back and forth when it comes to candidate interviews. The time to schedule has drastically reduced and our candidate experience has improved!

The tool works best when users have strong calendar health and unfortunately, a significant portion of our intended population lacked the calendar health for the tool to work optimally but we were able to work with the team to learn how to manage the change needed to adapt to the tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Paradox:**

If you are unsure about wanting to move forward with Paradox, asking to speak with current clients with similar usage can make all of the difference.

Our primary problem revolved around external candidate scheduling. Paradox has helped us significantly improve our time to get interviews scheduled, managed a significant amount of candidate follow-up, and has helped reduce interview no-show rates due to the rescheduling feature.

From the beginning of my engagement with Paradox, I knew this was something special.  My sales person was knowledgeable and had great follow up, the implementation team was the best I've seen in the business and the ongoing support and engagement have made this experience truly a wonderful partnership.  I love the technology of Olivia's customer care chat functionality and the self scheduling tool has been a great enhancement for our team.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

Not a dislike, but I am looking forward to more enhancements with the virtual event component.   The technology is easy to use but more functionality on the user side would be great.

Self scheduling for our recruiters has been a huge help and the engagement that Olivia has with our candidates on the front end has been a wonderful tool to enhance our branding and our candidate engagement.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

We finished phase 1 implementation of Olivia a couple of months ago and we are in the middle of implementing phase 2. Candidates are very engaged with our Paradox chatbot (Riley) and it has been both an experience and efficiency booster to have a bot on our careers page. She's able to answer general questions and also help candidates find open positions of interest. In phase 2, she will be able to help them apply. We also like that we can go in and see all chats and also manually override a chat. Ask for Troy - he's a great business partner with a high level of accountability.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

In some cases, Paradox may be new at integrating with your ATS. This can create some challenges. Work closely with the integration team at your ATS provider and ask for someone who has implemented Paradox or a similar chatbot before as they can help guide you.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

Our CSM Rayna has provided exemplary support throughout the entire implementation and administration process. She's made herself available to us at any hour (7am meetings, 9pm training calls); seems to be omnipresent when emails, phone calls get sent to her. I work with several CSM's as an admin to support different relationships and systems and hands down Rayna and the Paradox Client Support team has been, and continues to be, the best I've worked with.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

The UI in Paradox is not intuitive - the flyout and finding the right options, along with the default views.

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interview scheduling - reducing LOE and time to interview significantly. Integrated video interviewing - simpler for our teams to use the embedded tool instead of having to take extra steps to provide a video solution. The candidate chatbot and chat to apply features are also helpful, but supplemental to the primary reason we are using Paradox.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

Paradox is a true partner on your journey. Having a franchise model with over 60 brands? Yeah, it's a systems nightmare.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

When you truly get in and see the magic that exists with this organization- their products and services- you are going to want to transition nearly all of your tech stack with them. I guess my only dislike would be I went in to buy a chatbot and came out with a new tech stack.

Not all vendors are created equal. If your goal is to have a partner as a vendor, it's important that they not only have the great product today- but the systems and processes to listen, adapt and evolve their products as your needs change. Paradox is the only vendor in my tech stack who can do that. The Paradox team believes innovation comes from anywhere, which is why they are the leading edge of innovation.

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Paradox I am creating a solution to overcome a "War for Talent." My use cases aren't one-size-fits-all, and as a result, I need a robust utility tool that I can deploy in a lot of different use cases. You need a stylist to cut hair, without that individual behind the chair, there is no profit. This is why it's important we get Talent Acquisition right. Through using the Paradox Hire Solution we have sharpened our approaches to Stylist hiring. We have experienced a 6x reduction in candidate drop-off, our candidates and hiring managers love Olivia! We couldn't be more thrilled.

The implementation team at Paradox was superior.  The team made the process so streamlined and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

There was nothing to dislike.  From the beginning until go live I worked with a group of professionals that ensured the system was configured, tested and trained on the process.

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not too many problems.  We needed to reconfigure some interviewing questions for rehires.  As an administrator, I have access to all user's locations and scheduled interviews.  That was very beneficial.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

It really starts with the product and the partnership. I've had the opportunity to work with Paradox at two different companies and they always deliver above and beyond my expectations. We're using Paradox specifically to automate administrative tasks in the recruiting process — candidate screening, interview scheduling, candidate Q&A, and more — and the product's helped us create a real advantage in a very competitive market. 

I think what I appreciate most is that Paradox treats every client like they're the only client that matters. We've worked with them on some custom features — like an algorithm to instantly personalize our assistant personas based on location. And the time our AI assistant is saving our team is incredible. We're able to instantly engage candidates after hours, which is huge in our market. The assistant can screen in real-time and automatically schedule interviews on the spot when we come across qualified drivers. It's been a game changer for us and has helped us really redefine recruiting in the trucking and logistics industry. 

One recommendation: Don't undervalue partnership when you're evaluating technology like this. It's critical to find a vendor who understands the industry and can work with you to co-create a solution that makes sense for your use case. We've gotten exactly that and so much more from the Paradox team, and can't wait to keep pushing the limits in our industry together.

There's really nothing we've run up against that we don't like. The technology works. We're seeing measurable results that quantify the impact. And the Paradox team is always there to help when we need it.

We've taken a process that used to be desktop and browser drive and made it completely mobile and frictionless for our candidates. They can easily find jobs and apply via text, right in a conversation, so we can convert candidates right at the point of interest. Our AI assistant also helps us screen candidates in real-time for minimum requirements, automate interview scheduling without our team needing to do anything, and respond to any candidate questions after hours, which is huge for the people we're trying to hire.

For results, 35% of our candidates are now having conversations after normal business hours (allowing us to get to those candidates first), 99.95% of candidates rate their application experience positively, and we're now automatically scheduling interviews with qualified applicants within 3 minutes after they apply.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

Our workforce is primarily frontline hourly service workers between the ages of 16 - 35.  The ability to communicate with applicants via text and in the ways they like to communicate is invaluable, but the added efficiencies of Paradox over other text recruitment solutions are significant and remove many time stealers from our HR and Operations teams.  The scheduling product helps to automate much of the back and forth with candidate in scheduling phone and in-person interviews, which is one of the biggest efficiencies we've found - although we don't feel we're compromising in the recruitment process, as our A.I. is programmed to respond to candidates in the way we prefer to help us maintain a sense of company culture throughout the process.  We also find a significant portion of applicants who never realize she's an A.I.  We've also found tons of value in the use of Hiring Events, Campaigns and Candidate Care.

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

Paradox is still an emerging technology, certainly on the forefront of the space.  As a result, sometimes not all of the necessary features are available as products roll out, and you'll need to wait for some helpful features.

We are increasing our pool of applicants at the interview stage by reaching and communicating with them in ways they prefer.  We're also We are increasing our show rate for phone and in-person interviews since Paradox sends automatic reminder emails.  The transition to a more virtual process during COVID has been simpler with Paradox than if we did not have the technology - we integrate with our Microsoft Teams platform seamlessly for candidates.  We're also simplifying the process of running hiring events, my automating the scheduling in hiring events, increased marketing capabilities, and the streamlining of candidate flow and check-in.

**What do you like best about Paradox?**

•	Paradox exceeded my expectations wildly in all ways. As a corporate practitioner who owned the buying decision for a massive global quick-service restaurant, I selected Paradox because of the passion, innovative vision, and sheer brilliance of the founder.  Without question, I believed that the  Paradox team could do what many might think is impossible, and bring to life more than I had set out to do. Upon hearing more about what was on their product roadmap, I was inspired and knew that this is what we needed to do in order to not only catch up from our ineffective, antiquated tools and counter-intuitive clunky recruiting and onboarding processes but to leapfrog ahead of the pack for an undeniable competitive advantage. Within six months of our initial discussion, a robust prototype was live and in test within a hundred or so company-owned restaurants. What became obvious as we listened to the hiring managers in the pilot was that we were just scratching the surface on the art of the possible.  As a result, we iterated and expanded the solution to go far beyond that of an offer to include automated onboarding (tax forms, pay card/direct deposit info, uniform size, and WOTC).  The enthusiasm in the field and across the franchisee population was electric and the demand grew to the point that we had hundreds of franchisees and their thousands of restaurants on our pilot waitlist.  Within a year of our initial “what if” conversation, the solution is in approximately 10,000 locations.  
•	Some tech companies may shy away from a franchised organization due to the complexity and the decentralization.  Paradox was tasked with meeting the high level of scrutiny from a Fortune 100 (legal, security, IT, etc) as well as connecting and building trusted business relationships with small and mid-sized business owners across the country, carrying paper and providing training and customer support.  
•	This was an incredibly collaborative process to tailor solutions to meet use cases. The solutions team truly did shepherd through a discovery process and developed a solution with simplicity and end-user experience top of mind. This was not a product pitch and a yes or no buying decision.
•	I learned a lot along the way about how to approach – what is configuration vs development, as the team walked me through how best to approach to get quick wins and reliability without a tedious and time-consuming solution that brought unnecessary complexity and little to no lift in experience or impact.
•	The experience with the solutions team not only broadened and deepened my understanding of tech and its power, but also modeled true agility as we iterated, and engaged end users for input and refinement.
•	Never felt “sold” or “account managed” – the sales team understands TA and recruiting as well as technology.  The tech team knows TA and recruiting, and provides incredible customer service and in fact piqued my interest in broader offerings.
•	Paradox was recognized by Human Resource Executive as one of the Best HR Products of 2019 for their AI Recruiting Platform Olivia Hire for Restaurant and Retail. Paradox is also celebrated by the thousands of hiring managers across the country for giving them back hours of time each week, helping them staff their restaurants, reduce their stress, not to mention reduce time to hire from weeks to just a few days.

I wouldn't say dislike, rather a watch out or opportunity to improve upon. As Paradox grows to meet demand and matures as an organization, it is important to keep in mind that some of the very large, matrixed companies are not as agile or comfortable with innovation and testing as they may claim to be and require the reassurance of a more traditional project management approach.  That said, don’t change and risk the very things that make your products and client solutions so impactful.  It’s more of a “meet the clients where they are and bring them along with you” with the goal being that your organizational DNA and culture rubs off on the corporate HRIS and TA departments. Continue to engage, build partnerships, and steer your internal champions on how to navigate the swirl sharing what you know to be proven best bets around change management.

**What problems is Paradox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were failing at staffing our restaurants, not because of a lack of applicants but rather a broken process that very slow and far from user friendly. It used to take on average nine days for an applicant to hear back after completing a 20 minute long application. Now an applicant can apply, complete screening and schedule an interview with the hiring manager within minutes.  New-hires complete onboarding effortlessly on their smart phones and start within a few days of initial application. As a result, we are not losing candidates and have first pick at quality.  In addition, Olivia communicates using our brand voice and models the high level of hospitality and service we are looking for in our crew members.

We have used Paradox since 2017 and have seen what was already a great platform evolve into a tool that is at the core of how our organization recruits and communicates with employees.

We have used this product in TV Commercials as a landing page for applicants, in GPS targeted ads, as well as candidate care on our Glassdoor page. We have also been given the feedback that our employees prefer communication through this solution versus email. Our response rate confirms this.

The real power of this solution is using it in conjunction with an ATS. With the campaign feature, we are able to have the AI reach out to all of our qualified candidates instantly, prescreen and schedule those that are a fit. It is because of this our Recruitment team is able to spend more time creating a better candidate experience.

One of the platforms area of improvements is analytics. This has come quite a ways since we started using the product over 3-years ago. But it could still be more robust.

Lastly,  Paradox's customer service stands apart and above almost any other vendor we work with. Most customer service relationships in our experience involve leaving a voicemail and having to follow up to get issues resolved. I never have had this problem with Paradox and am often able to speak to our representative on my first call.

I see us using this platform for years to come.

Paradox (Olivia) is a technology resource that I don't see how our organization would operate without knowing what we know now. Their intuitive AI text bot, Olivia, is a friendly persona that guides our candidates with ease through an application for a job. The software is quite advanced and allows for many paths/avenues of conversation. You can customize the questions to the ones that are most important for your organization to get responses for. Paradox has also been very flexible to work with us on a custom built API integration with our Applicant Tracking System. Once a candidate is done chatting with Olivia,  she inputs them into our ATS, submits them to the requisition the candidate requested, and updates their applicant status according to the answers the candidate provided. Talk about advanced stuff!

**What do you dislike about Paradox?**

There isn't much that I dislike about the product. The front line support with Paradox is great and the team is responsive. The only downside I might mention is that more complicated tasks may take a larger amount of time than we would like. We also experience a long build time for custom projects that have extended past initial timelines that were disclosed when we requested it.

If you're looking for a platform that does it all regarding Text-To-Apply and ATS integrations, Paradox is the way to go. The team's expertise in implementing this in many different systems is valuable to any organization.

Paradox (Olivia) is allowing us to be in touch with candidates in a much quicker fashion than we have in the years past. Nothing to really dislike other than it can be tricky to get the answers set up in a way where every conversation flows smoothly. I'm still relatively new to the system myself though, so I'm sure I have a lot to learn regarding making hit as effective and efficient as possible.
