**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

The different templates that are letting you think outside the box, allowing the team to evolve together. Also really like the icebreaker function which is really fun and brings the team closer.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Would be great if you could connect the tasks directly to Asana.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lets me have more fun and effective meetings, saves my time.

  ### 3. Overall great experience!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Immi W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Easy templates quick and easy to follow and set up.
Good range of templates

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Sometimes not all the steps are need for example the grouping and voting for smaller teams with less contributions isn't always needed. Maybe there could be a way of only having this features when there are at least 10 contributions or something like that?

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to run team retrospectives

  ### 4. Interactive retro experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tara D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Parabol provided an interactive retro experience that engaged the team.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

The follow-up from the retro feedback wasn't as intuitive as I'd have liked and the process to access the feedback after the retro was clunky.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to get feedback from the team on improvements that could be made to team practices and processes.

  ### 5. Great tool for remote teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anamaria G. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

We have been using Parabol to organise our team's retrospectives.
Meetings are effortless to set up, and the different options are great for making each retrospective unique.
We like that the cards are easy to group and are not visible to others until everyone has finished typing.
It is also great to be able to go back to the previous meetings and see all the ideas and conversations around them.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

We are generally happy with Parabol and feel it offers everything we need to organise our team meetings.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily organise the sprint retrospectives.

  ### 6. Instant easy retros

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

I use Parabol to run bi-weekly retros for my team, and it's by far the easiest and quickest tool to set these up. With just a few clicks we can run an amazing retro that handles all of the ticketing, voting, grouping and actions for us. No need for any setup at all. Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Would love some more whiteboarding features to be built into the retros, buts not necessary at all, they are great as they are already. Overall no complaints about the product though.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue it the setup, with a regular whiteboarding tool theres a fair amount of setup and templating that needs to happen. Then the actual exercise can get messy, this keeps it tightly succinct and all setup and ready to go.

  ### 7. A modern, collaborative tool for organization sprints.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Collaboration is really well done. I also like the variety of templates and how easy it is to take notes.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Seems very nit picky but in all of my teams people tend to struggle with the 'Next Button'. It's super neat how it slowly fills up the circle until everyone clicked 'Next', but the issue is that 1) most people forget to click the Next button, 2) don't know whether they have already clicked it (resulting in clicking twice which marks them as "not ready") and 3) don't immediately get that the green circle shows the overall "ready state" of the team. So making this button a bit bigger, maybe have it buzz or something if there is no more activity on the screen would be super helpful.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Refinement meetings (clarifying, estimating issues)
- Team retrospectives (raising topics, prioritizing them)

  ### 8. Nice tool globally

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juliette D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

The ideas of 'Ice breakers'
All the features in the Retrospective template like DAKI

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

No way to reopen "closed" meetings.
The History is seeable by everyone, although there a "tests" that should not be.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helpful for remote teams -

  ### 9. Easy to use, useful retrospective features, looks cute

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teresa T. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

We use it mostly for retrospectives - I like the ability to add thoughts, group them and vote on them.
Icebreakers are handy and not overdone/cheesy
The interface is slick and easy to use

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

I'd love to see more even variety in the retrospective templates; some are pretty similar to one another.
Not sure if it exists but a Slack integration would be great if it doesn't...clearly I need to go check

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Retrospective management

  ### 10. Very useful when my team went fully remote

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo M. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

It's easy to use, the templates they have cover 99.9% of situations, and you can create your own templates.
You can have a meeting running in seconds.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Every person in the meeting needs to use the app, sometimes we are several people in the same office and we have to have all the browser open, it will be nice is there is some "hybrid" mode for teams that are not fully remote.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team is mostly fully remote, spread among several countries, this helped us to run retros and pokers in a quick and organized way, like if we were all together in front of a whiteboard

  ### 11. Guide the meeting like a charm

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

I use Parabol for the agile retrospectives.
The step-by-step user flow guides the meeting fluently, and people can learn the meeting structure from it.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

It's not easy to track the created tasks.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guide the meeting with a good user experience. So as a squad lead, I don't have to drive the agenda purely on my own.

  ### 12. Great asset to organize Retros and Poker Plannings in our Agile Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florian F. | Scrum Master, UI/UX Designer, Frontend Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Parabol has provided us with the one go-to solution for facilitating our meetings. We started using it for Retros since it had become hardly manageable to run them in bigger teams fully remotely and even with 20+ participants we just had a blast! Before that, we tried digital sticky note solutions but only Parabol provided us with every step of a proper retro being represented by a useful integrated functionality. From Ice-Breakers through the reflection phase to the voting everything is covered in a mindful and smart way. At the moment we're also trying to use it in Poker Plannings which so far has accelerated the process by a lot through its Jira integration.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

This might be specific to our use-case but it's a little bit of a bad user experience to import many tickets in the Poker Planning Meeting from Jira since you need to type out the titles of the Tickets one by one instead of just searching them up by Jiras integrated ticket number, or allowing a comma-separated ID list to be pasted. That this nitpick is the only thing we were able to come up with during our 3-month evaluation so far, shows how well thought through in general Parabol is already.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved the chaos of big Retrospective meetings within our agile teams, especially when done remotely. Also, it has spared us from using some meeting chat sidebars to put estimates on Tickets or use workarounds or multiple separate tools to run our Retros. Now we have shorter meetings, with better outputs and the benefit, that non-attending members can always check-in post, what the essence of the meeting was.

  ### 13. Great tool for remote, semi-remote, and on-site teams!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Parabol helps bring structures to my meetings, providing an easy platform to solicit feedback and, more importantly, follow up on action items after the fact. My favorite part might be the low barrier to entry. I've had no issue using this tool with a room full of execs with no prior training, and consistently receive comments around exceeding expectations around having to "learn another tool".

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Parabol is great - I want to use it for MORE! Would love to perform more Agile ceremonies through Parabol, especially now that our team is entirely remote.

**Recommendations to others considering Parabol:**

Give it a shot - it's easy.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly use it for retrospectives. I know it has more features but we haven't incorporated them into our workflow.

  ### 14. Best retrospective tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Syam S. | Product Development Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

- Its simplicity
- Its easy to use
- Very easy to track progress on actionable items

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

- There is nothing much I don't like about Parabol
- We love 💜 Parabol

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Retrospective meetings are properly done in a highly productive manner

  ### 15. Enterprise is costs a lot with no real progress; Kinda buggy

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

UX is nice, manage to import from other platforms relatively easy (JIRA, GH)

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

We felt that team behind parabol focused more on the pro plans instead of the Enterprise plans, while we paying a hefty price for their platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Parabol:**

If you need something for a small startup without any sensitive information, otherwise you will be forced to jump into the higher paying grades.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

retrospective for enterprise comapny. we needed security in place and had to upgrade to an enterprise account. If your org has actual sensitive info in the retro meeting I suggest you look elsewhere. We were really shocked by the response of their CS team.

  ### 16. Really Enjoy this software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

It makes running my team retros super efficient and effortless from a facilitation standpoint.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

It does not allow me to go back without wiping out data.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes my role as a team facilitator much easier.

  ### 17. Best Software for keeping the entire Eng team Engaged

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jarryd P. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

I love the sprint retrospective features that this product has. Whenever I need to ensure that I am capturing all the necessary information from my team, I will always turn to Parabol for help. The discussion templates are super beneficial and have been effective to try different ones as we have changed our sprint style.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Nothing really comes to mind, my only suggestion would be to try and tie (integrate) action items that we create to a different platform. For example, I use Asana as my task management tool, it may be beneficial to do something like that.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team has consistently used Parabol as a discussion tool to help guide our conversations in a productive and efficient manner. This has allowed us to collaborate and improve upon our process and goals in a way we did not think was possible.

  ### 18. A fantastic tool which has changed the way we work!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie B. | Policy Administration Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Almost everything about it. Parabol creates a safe, collaborative environment where everyone can contribute and collaborate with peace of mind as it's anonymous. We love the templates provided to us, and the icebreakers add a nice touch. We love the replication of the voting system, allowing us to prioritize work/comments based on how the team vote. Parabol has been a game-changer for us as we've navigated a forever-changing environment where working remotely is the new normal. Parabol is easy to use, easy to register for, and is accessible at any time.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

There isn't anything we dislike with Parabol, only further opportunities such as allowing for more ceremonies to be held via the tool, controlling who receives the summary emails, the ability to go back or undo.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many! As mentioned above, it has created a safe space for people to provide feedback anonymously and are more confident having their say. We're able to address pain points more quickly and implement new ideas from the team. Parabol is easy to use, so it's meant we're doing retrospectives more often and delivering value to our teams more frequently. We've also started to use Parabol for other meetings where a lot of collaboration is required from many people i.e., team engagement planning.

  ### 19. Parabol Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aadhya C. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2021

  ### 20. Parabol - Why didn't I find you sooner!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deep C. | Digital Project Manager

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Our most favorite part of the platform is using the retrospective tool allowing everyone to connect virtually and without having to do a screenshare people can contribute in real time on the privacy of their own screens.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

We wish the platform could connect to Jira Data Server out of the box, which makes it hard for us to have it connect and integrate with our Jira instance. We also were hoping that we could export our tasks and responsibilities from retrospectives into tasks into our Jira backlog so we can keep track within one platform.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a one-stop platform to allow us to conduct retrospectives so that everyone follows a clean process and one tool across the organization - no more excel spreadsheets, no more Trello, and or people submitted e-mails with their thoughts prior to the meeting.

  ### 21. Amazing tool!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melina P. | Agile Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Parabol is a great tool for facilitation and team work. I love that you can have the whole history of a team in one single tool, avoiding unnecessary documentation. You can create action actions in the same meeting, tag people affected and later follow up with that tasks list.
I also really like the templates available for retrospectives and that you also can create your own templates, even make a copy of the ones there and adapt it to our needs.
The icebreaker question is amazing, it helps to set the mood before going into reflection mode. I've use it quite often.
The feature for the estimating tasks is also great and works great with JIRA integration, it even adjusts the Story points in JIRA when you change them in the tool, really helpful! Again, avoids double and manual work.
I highly recommend this tool, it works perfectly with fully remote, mixed set up or even when having a retrospective in person, but as a support tool to document what was discussed.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Something to improve would be to have more templates, as the options list is quite limited.
Maybe as well to be able to remove the facilitator's votes, as you don't always need to vote, depending on the type of session you are.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote facilitation, hybrid set up as we have people in different locations.
This tool makes things easier for everyone, transparent, visible and ensures smooth sessions for everyone

  ### 22. Truly helping Retros

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paula E. | Associate Development Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

What I love the most about Parabol is that it gives us visibility of the actions that we have committed to do, which translates into accountability and truly improving as a team. My teams really enjoy the icebreakers and becomes a great space for us to connect as a team, bonus!

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

I wish it sends me reminders of my scheduled tasks!

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved team problems (such as not delivering to commitments) as well as operational road blocks

  ### 23. Great agile team ritual tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

I love using parabol to do my planning poker and retrospectives.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

It's hard to create tasks on the spot and ensure people follow through in retros.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing meeting times. Hosting my planning poker on parabol enables my team to log on asynchronously to put down their story points and comment in any questions they had. This enables the devs to still have a productive conversation about the ticket without needing a meeting.

  ### 24. Excellent product with easy to use interface, useful templates to quickly create and run Retros

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Easy to use templates and ongoing tracking of action items.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Jira integration is only to Jira Cloud, and was not obviously available.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows the team to track work items easily from Sprint to Sprint, and allows the team to continually improve.

  ### 25. Great, systematic, and easy-to-use retrospective tool!!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

- Step-by-step retro process
- user-friendly interface
- interaction with comment and emoji

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

- No non-anonymous user setting
- email summary is difficult to understand
- difficult to carry actions from discussion

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- remote retrospective
- access to reports and previous retros

  ### 26. Great retro and planning poker tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

I like running our retros in it. I also love that we can do our planning poker async with the devs

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Only the admin can change the swim lanes

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

async planning pokers! saved a lot of meeting time

  ### 27. Great retrospective tool for remote teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Parabol it's a simple tool and complete retrospective tool. In feel minutes, we create a complete retrospective meeting. In my company all the team leader using this tool.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Manager users are more complicated. We don,t control for this.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote retrospectives, remote work, the team works togheter. The team are happy :)

  ### 28. An incredible tool to facilitate retrospectives and more (works in person AND remotely)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David K. | Leadership Trainer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Simple with just enough complexity but not more. Parabol makes retrospectives and other types of brainstorm-cluster-discuss types of meetings really smooth. With every member working on their own computer, this tool makes it easy to get a lot done fast, even more effectively than on a board with sticky notes. I have used this tool in both in-person and remote (with the whole team on zoom or on the phone) and it works great.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

By default Parabol sends a summary email for every meeting to all team members regardless of whether they joined the meeting or not. I would rather have an option to include those who were not present in the email rather than having it be the default setting.

You can create your own templates for meetings, but I haven't see yet the option to transfer these templates to other teams or other organizations, that would be handy for me.

**Recommendations to others considering Parabol:**

If you are looking for an effective way to have your team gather lots of insights, sort it out and have a productive conversation, this is your tool. Even a novice facilitator can run a great meeting using Parabol.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Parabol for my monthly retrospectives with my team. I also use it as an ad-hoc solution to have a fast converge-diverge type of meeting (collecting lots of input, sorting it and then discussing each clusters). As a professional facilitator, I find it to be simple to use and simple to onboard new members.

  ### 29. Remote retro like a pro, and there's more!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francois B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

It enables us to run smooth retros with our remote teams and customize the flow to our specific needs. It also centralizes action items for easy reference, and integrates with our work tools like Jira and Github. Adoption is easy and intuitive: no change management skills required, your team will love it. While we initially adopted Parabol for our Retros, mainly with our offsite teams, we quickly ended up using it for various other purposes, such as Lean Coffee, even in onsite meetings. Finally what I really like about Parabol is how it's continuously evolving, having its roadmap influenced by user feedback.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

I don't believe there's anything major we dislike. We initially had a few comments for minor improvements, such as "This feature is not that obvious, could you make it more visible?". The Parabol team has been so receptive in addressing our questions, it's hard to find anything left to write here!

**Recommendations to others considering Parabol:**

Give it a shot, I'm confident it'll exceed your expectations.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Running meetings with remote or semi-remote teams.
- Reducing use of paper / post-its
- Improving collaboration in meetings
- Easily integrate with our other tools and processes
- Gain inspiration from their meeting templates

  ### 30. Great Retrospective tool for any team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon I. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Parabol has been great at providing an environment with my teams to openly discuss any issues that took place or any great moments we had during a Scrum, without fear of backlash or judgement. Its especially helpful in the cases where some developers who are a bit quieter than others having a space where their concerns are heard.

I feel any level of team whether a small 3 man team or a more robust team size can benefit from using this tool.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

Not much to dislike about this tool, the only point of concern I may have are the continuous updates ( Which are never a bad thing) I would prefer to have some form of communication sent out listing the new updates to be expected with each new iteration

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team cohesion is the biggest benefit that I have noticed. I've noticed a huge increase in team collaboration after a successful Parabol meeting. It's great !

  ### 31. Fantastic online tool for managing retrospective meetings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Irena T. | Project Manager / Scrum Master, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Parabol online retrospective tool is amazing tool for managing multi located scrum teams. Being a scrum master of 3 multi located scrum teams, I must say that Parabol helped me a lot in first of all in the learning process to the team, of the purpose of what retrospective meeting is for.
Its workflow is perfectly done, leading the team to get the tasks at the end of the meeting on the things the team has to improve in the next sprint. Its usage and interface is very friendly and easy to be used.
Allowing the team members to enter their reflections anonymous made my team give their feedback's more openly.
Possibility of having a board of tasks and follow the status of the tasks generated on the retro meeting gives huge additional value to the tool.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

I can not really find what I do not like in this tool. I have checked more online retrospective tolls and did not find any other close as good as this one.

  ### 32. This product was a game changer for us

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

It quickly, intuitively gets remote teams into the Retrospective process. For a project manager it totally emulates the tools needed for a good retro.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

There's a phase we do where we examine the issues and come up with Contributing Factors/Potential Solutions/Action Items - we always do this in a googledoc outside the tool - the tool seems to assume that you just 'write the solution' but in reality the discussion usually covers lots of suggestions, some good, some bad, and we capture those ideas in order to keep the conversation focused - would love to see something like that in the tool

**Recommendations to others considering Parabol:**

If you have online teams and need to do retros, this thing will make your life so much easier - it's like 90% of what you need, in a box. Great support too

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team already did online retros as a studio because we're split across two cities - now, with all the self-isolation happening, it's even more critical to our team process

  ### 33. Fantastic retrospective tool that takes the pain out of prep and makes meetings efficient and fun

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack S. | Scrum Master, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

• The interface is clean and simple – anyone on my teams can easily and confidently facilitate a retrospective
• Multiple templates to choose from with the ability to create your own retrospective template
• All the necessary tools in one place – timers, cards, agenda, etc.
• The meeting basically runs itself – allowing facilitators to focus on the content of the conversations and driving forward the conversation
• The optional social check-in is a great energizer to open a meeting for teams that meet consistently – my teams beg for if we use an alternate platform
• Asynchronous tools allow for team brainstorming before you even get in a room together (in-person or digitally)
• An invaluable tool during a time where teams are forced to learn how to operate effectively in a remote environment
• Ability to be on multiple teams allows me to keep all of my teams in one place
• Everyone has the ability to collaborate within the tool, taking that pressure off of the facilitator to do all the "administrative" leg-work
• They are constantly improving the tool by listening to their users – I've met with their team multiple times to give feedback

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

• They're innovating so consistently that your workflow might change if you haven't used the tool in a week or two (a good problem to have!)
• In a world of endless tools and apps, this adds one more _need_ to the toolbox – which can scare off other teams within the organization (e.g. "we already have tools for this!")

**Recommendations to others considering Parabol:**

• If your teams are running retrospectives, give this tool a try more than once and keep an open mind – our second meeting was way better than our first, and they've all been great from there!

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

• Running interesting and effective team retrospective meetings at the end of each sprint (we use Scrum)
• As a facilitator, saving myself time creating a retrospective and the necessary materials is a huge benefit to using this product
• We're finding areas to improve as a team and get better every two weeks – and the app facilitates psychological safety in a way that we're improving more often by creating a culture of improvement and transparency with each other

  ### 34. Fantastic tool for running retrospectives

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

The most useful aspect of using Parabol is how it lets everyone take part in the process of sharing, organizing, and ranking topics for discussion. Also, I love that it automatically generates a report at the end.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

I can't think of anything that I dislike about the service, as it's been so useful.

**Recommendations to others considering Parabol:**

This is a fantastic tool to run retros (or even to run workshops) -- it automates so many aspects of the typical retro, lets every participant take part in organizing and ranking discussion topics, with a report automatically shared at the end. It's even more useful in our current work-from-home reality.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to find a tool that would help structure our retros, and save me time in terms of prep time, as well as the reports that are shared with the team at the end.

  ### 35. Great Collaboration Tool for Remote Teams!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Parabol brings structure to remote meetings by guiding teams through meeting phases that are hard to deviate from. This tool keeps you and other team members on track! It eliminates any room for tangents and makes each meeting worth the time you've put into it. You truly feel accomplished after every session.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

There's a bit of a learning curve when you first start to use the platform and maneuver each meeting phase. However, by your 2nd session, you get the hang of it!

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Parabol, I am able to keep better track of smaller tasks that often get lost in the shuffle. At the end of every meeting, action items are listed on our team dashboard, and remain there until completed. In this way, we're able to operate more efficiently.

  ### 36. Scrum Master

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Interactive & efficient way to conduct my retrospectives.
Enables me to gather insight and collaborate with my team, an absolute necessity with co-located teams and remote working conditions.
Anonymous way for my team to bring up sensitive topics. Promotes candidness.
The guided prompts make it easy-to-use.
Love the voting feature, which prioritizes our discussions in an allotted timeframe.
Product support responses from the company is very prompt.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

The guided prompts are great, but sometimes wish I could "undo" or backtrack if I progress too quickly and end the meeting.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team is continually trying to improve on communication and processes so that we can work better as a team and deliver code more efficiently. I'm hearing that other teams in my company are using Parabol to conduct user feedback sessions.

  ### 37. Best retro tool I have ever used

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

As a Scrum Master of 4 teams, I was desperate to find a tool that worked well for multiple teams. Parabol is fun, interactive, and anonymous which has helped to increase team participation. The integration abilities, storyboard, task list, and export function make it easy to use.

Additionally, the team at Parabol has been wonderful to work with! They created a new feature when the current functionality was not meeting our needs.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

If you proceed to the vote or discuss section on accident you cannot go back.

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some team members do not want to give critical feedback unless it is anonymous. Parabol has solved that for us. Additionally, the ability to assign tasks has helped to ensure team members are actively taking the feedback and using it.

  ### 38. Fantastic tool for a practice you should already be doing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

UI is great. Retro structure and prompts easily editable. Works super well.

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

I'd like retro templates I create to carry between teams.

**Recommendations to others considering Parabol:**

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Retros for remote teams. Pre-pandemic and now.

  ### 39. Best remote retrospective app!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derrick B. | Partner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Parabol?**

Free and fun like a video game

**What do you dislike about Parabol?**

You have to invite all participants first

**What problems is Parabol solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Parabol before projects begin (a project premortem) and after they finished (a project retrospective. We used to use Post-It Notes to run this process: Parabol has made it a lot simpler and we can even include teammates working remotely. Because it's easier to run team retrospectives, we do them a lot more frequently and as a result, we’ve been able to make many improvements to the way we work together.
