👍 What I like best about Panic Transmit is its remarkable ability to consolidate all my FTP connections, Storage Buckets, and File servers into a single, intuitive hub. This streamlined approach to login and administration is an absolute game-changer for me. 🌐💼 Being able to personalize icons adds a touch of personalization, and the cherry on top is the fantastic feature that lets me seamlessly carry over my settings across different computers. 🖥️🔗 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
👎 If one aspect of Panic Transmit leaves me slightly wanting, it's the local file browser. While the product is exceptional, the option to completely remove the local file browser would be a welcomed enhancement. 📂🚫 As a habitual Finder user, I often rely on drag-and-drop directly from Finder for my file transfers, and removing this local file browser would align perfectly with my workflow. It's reliable, simple, and easy to use – but also has the power needed to accomplish more complex tasks to save me time. I especially like the ability to connect to all types of servers and accounts including cloud accounts from Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google and transfer files between those and SFTP accounts. The directory comparison and sync feature is incredibly time saving as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Panic is a great development company, but like all of us have limited resources and it feels like most of their attention is on other applications other than Transmit. I'm not sure of the future of this application and wouldn't be surprised if it were discontinued in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their apps on Mac/iOS are top of the class, one of the few that can seamlessly integrate between platforms efficiently. Transmit is used on a daily basis to transfer files and it's been quite neat. The UI is eye friendly and it works well on the MacBook and the iPad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price, oh boy its expensive. The thing is you need to purchase other suite of their apps such as Coda along with Transmit and they are expensive. Spending $20 on an app per platform is bit too much for the average user, but its like Apple. They are expensive, yet they are best at the game. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that I have the ability to use this software to download larger files, especially for video editing. It's become a valuable tool to work with people across the country Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd like to be able to see a higher number of files downloaded in the Activity pane so I can have a better idea of what's being downloaded. There have been some connection timeouts and when that does happen, there is no option to restart that individual upload or download, I'd need to manually search for that file and re-implement it. Being able to sync my address book between home and work has really made things easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The older version had a dedicated transfer window. Now it's a popover that won't stay up and doesn't give quite as much information. I prefer the old display. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Transit was the very first FTP client I ever paid for, and ever since using it I haven't looked back. The product has a good UI that is easy to use and the product is well maintained. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The switch from using a free to a paid software can always feel a little painful, this product is honestly worth it. I haven't updated to the newest version because I don't want to pay again - but I'm sure that it has great features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
