Top Rated Pangea.app Alternatives

I love that the platform is solely focused on college students and the plethora of opportunities that it has to offer for students. I have personally benefitted greatly from opportunities in Data Analytics and Product Management, and those experiences have allowed me to get internships and full-time offers from F500 companies. Overall, a great platform to gain experience working for startups and gaining experience in your chosen field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not see any downsides besides I would love to see more opportunities in the Product and Engineering areas, but again that depends on the startups and their hiring needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of the developer work I need done is very niche or specific and it has been hard to find affordable talent who is knowledgable about my area of need. Pangea was able to provide talent that had fairly extensive experience in what I was looking for and I was happy to pay the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's still in it's earlier stages as a company so there are a few technical kinks to work out but the founder Adam is incredibly responsive and involved in product development and those issues have never impacted the benefits that I'm able to get out of the platform. The most helpful thing about Pangea is the ability to create a holistic profile regarding your skills, interests, pay expectations, etc. I also really like the application/offer process - it's nice to have the "chat" option with employers.
It's also just a great app concept - as a student, it is frustrating how you need experience to get experience and Pangea is the perfect platform to break that loop. I got my first full-time job in large part because of the freelance work I did through Pangea - for that, I'll always be grateful.
The team is also amazing! I met with Kacie Galligan to talk about my onboarding into a company and she was super cool; it really does feel like the team cares about Pangeans' success :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is really nothing specific I dislike about Pangea, but there could be a few improvements: the community tab could get more visibility (maybe having some sort of monthly community newsletter to highlight Pangeans' victories?). The "Seeds" addition should also be more developed: it would be nice to have a more standardized process, like the other Pangea job applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pangea has done a fantastic job throughout its iterations listening to students and talent on its platform to optimize and improve the service for freelancing. I have seen Pangea go through many different approaches to its platform and each time, talent and companies remain at the core. Their commitment to the people they are servicing helps them improve their offering and it will continue to become even more sticky with users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have applied to about 6 jobs on their platform and never heard back from any of the companies. It would be helpful if the company had to respond to the candidates, even if it was programmed so that we can learn that we are not being considered for the job. When you don't receive feedback or notice about the job you applied to, it can be demoralizing and lead you to apply to fewer jobs for fear that you won't hear back. It was easy to make an account on Pangea and have access to young talent that I would not have been able to find otherwise. Pangea has a larger pool of applicants to pick from so you can find exactly what you need for your job. I also like that Pangea takes care of the 1099 forms so you don't have to worry about that during tax season. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I dislike about Pangea. I have been very lucky, although I am old school and don't use the app. I always log on to my laptop because it is easier to see everything. I know an app is important for a lot of users though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I'm working with startups who are likely to contact me for more work inthe future. I also like the flexibility Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The percentage of what I'm paid thats taken out, I know it helps the site but it can still be annoying at times Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that the platform is very flexible and allows students to find opportunities across the board! I've interviewed with nonprofits, agencies, and startups for positions ranging from graphic design to marketing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform is still quite new and, at times, buggy. The people hiring on the Pangea are also not as consistent as I would like... I've been offered several positions but work hasn't been super consistent. I guess it depends on who you end up working for! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is really easy to use and get set up. I love how simple it is to get support in tasks for anything I need for my business. From podcasting and statistical data development to graphic design, I can sort candidates by school, expertise, and more! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Exclusivity. You are restricted to paying candidates through Pangea. Students may or may not respond to contract offers in a timely manner. Students can invoice but there are no email reminders to remind you of payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It gives me an easy way to hire interns from other universities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform sometimes I don't find in user friendly. It takes me a few clicks to find where to see the number of hours from an intern. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to connect with different companies and a search engine to find the best job for you. Also jobs are posted constantly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The app does crash from time to time. Also the messaging can be a little difficult to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
