Panaya Smart Testing and Change Intelligence Reviews & Product Details

Me and My Team is Using Panaya from Last couple of months to Do Automation Of SAP ERP transactions and Business Processes.

Panaya is very good tool and Easy to use and easy to learn,

we are recording the Script of SAP Transaction and business process from SAP GUI and web based fiori application as part of automation Process.

it has Agent Testing also with which we can test recorded Script on Server Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Panaya is New tool, and Panaya team is proactively Improving the Tool to co-operate with complex business Scenario.

I faced some issue while testing and recording the Script but after raising Support ticket in Troubleshooting mode, Panaya team fixed that issue in very next update of there Tool or Software.

Panaya Smart Testing is a smart tool to manage multiple defects/assignments at one go. Apart from a very clear visibility and process work flow, I like the freedom which we get in terms of adding attachments, tagging specific people and the amazing filters which makes it much easier to track specific objects. I am not an end user of Panaya SMart Testing and Change Intelligence but as an Administrator (a test creator), I appreciate how easy it is to load the testing files in Panaya.

I think the synthesis view/charts of the Project progress / status is also really usefull for the project managers.

The fact that there are so many fields not used (that cannot be hidden) displayed in the test part.

With the right approach, wherein more emphasis is given on planning a given task/test, Panaya exponentially reduces time and effort during execution. For me, planning phase involves script creation/correction, dataset preparation and covering other necessary pre-requisites for a given test case. Panaya does fall short in covering the ERES requirements (from EU Annex 11, USFDA, etc.) to accomodate multiple authors, reviewers, testers, approvers for a given test case. Test scenarios do involve multiple stakeholders - Developer/Author, Tester, Reviewer, QA, etc. And for timestamp in generated evidence.

There are few scripting implementations related to SAP GUI in case of custom developed programs in SAP.

Detailed documentation / training for technical individuals / developers (i.e., SAP ABAPers) would really help organizations using SAP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I believe Panaya is a useful tool. I believe my experience was more negatively affected by horrendous test creations, and errors, and data issues provided by the SAP developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The downsides of Panaya are the uneasiness of the navigation with the product. There were countless times when I would lose all of my data entries when creating defects, simply because I accidentally clicked my mouse outside of the browser window with which I was logging a new defect. Clicking anywhere outside of the pop-up window would promt the window to close and all inputted information to be lost. I used Panaya for more than 200 tests and logged close to 100 defects and this issue was frequent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The recording feature. I like how you are able to record your steps and then the system will create an instruction manual for you based off the recording. Saves a lot of time! The lag while recording is difficult to tolerate at times, but I would expect this from similar testing programs. Also, at the beginning, it was a bit difficult to understand their "approach" but after it clicks, it makes the program a lot more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It takes a little bit of time to familiarize with the navigation with in the tool, but with dedicated training documentation provided by the tool and regular handson, one can easily familiarize himself/herself with the features of the tool and chose to best utilize the features as applicable to their business demands.
