## Pages Reviews
  ### 1. Love love love Pages

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christyn K. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Pages is my go-to program for anything having to do with word publishing, design, or printing. Very easy to use and even integrate from Microsoft Publisher.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Would love more templates (though you can buy more from 3rd party sites).

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

Even if you don't consider yourself a designer, Pages is perfect for word processing needs.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anytime I need to type something, print something, arrange images or designs, or make a pdf, Pages is my go-to program.

  ### 2. Pages is great and just as easy to work microsoft words.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sehar J. | p, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Just as easy to work as Microsoft but some things are annoying to navaigate. I think that I like pages because its on the desktop of macs and easy..

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

How you can't access pages anywhere else but on the mac. There is no cloud unless you have other Apple products, which kind of sucks. I wish that you could access it through a drive like on a different computer but hopefully, pages will work on it. Maybe even work on that in the future. I think that with a few more years and time, pages will become bigger on college campuses as campuses get more apple products and i think that windows should start using pages as well..

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

I love it! I WILL CONTINUE TO USE IT AS WELL! I think this is a great way to jot down some notes. You can track changes to body text and text in text boxes, shapes, and footnotes (including document and section endnotes). When tracking is turned on, changed text appears in a different color from the surrounding text, and change bars appear in the margin.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The glitching in the app kind of sucks a lot. It happens a lot more than usual; I feel like where my computer kind of freezes because of the amount of space that pages are taking up on my computer. The benefits are that is it just as easy as Microsoft to navigate.

  ### 3. Pages can be a helpful Word replacement for Mac users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Pages creates beautiful documents that I feel have a much more finished and professional look for them. They gave an amazing library of templates to choose from to help get you started.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

There is a bit of a learning curve if you are used to Word, but like with anything, just use it and explore on the app, okay with formatting tools and you will figure it out soon.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been wanting to create more mminimistic but professional training documents the the team I work with and Pages has helped me accomplish that goal. With not a lot of effort, the training docs I have produced with Pages have been amazing and easier to create.

  ### 4. Pages, the free Microsoft Word for Mac

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Pages is similar to Microsoft Word and Google Docsfor Mac. What I like best about Pages would be the smoothness of the system. Kindly note that non-Mac users cannot use Pages and since Pages is a program that is specifically made for Mac, it runs smoothly for Mac computers. Most importantly, Pages is free when you bought a Mac.

Other than being free, regarding its features, Pages is on par with Microsoft Word and Google Docs. Unlike Numbers, I think that Pages is easy to use and can be use a substitute for Word or Docs. When running Pages on old Mac computers like the one that I'm using right now, Macbook Air 2015, Pages run smoothly. However, when compared to Microsoft Word, after writing couple of pages it starts to lag. Pages also contains every necessary functions that are available on Word or Docs. If I have to recommend a free program to write documents, I would recommend Pages for Mac users.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

One thing that I don't like about Pages would be the fact that Pages cannot be loaded on non-Mac computers. As you know, Mac is an expensive computer and when downloading Pages documents into DOCX or PDF, I don't think it is tranformed well enough. For example, sometimes, the Words disaligned, some fonts are not available, the margin changes a bit, and etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

For MacOS users, don't pay for Word. Pages is already suffice. Moreover, it runs better on low performance computer as it is a program that is native to the Mac.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you don't have a document writer program on Mac, I would suggest Pages. If you prefer to use Word, use will have to pay. If you want to use Docs, even though it is free, the functions, features, and performance is not as good as Pages on Mac computers.

  ### 5. Simple and Free Over Multiple Devices

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jen L. | Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

The most helpful aspect of Apple's Pages is the simplistic interface. It cut all the "fat" off Microsoft Word and gives you what is truly needed.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Apple's Pages is not great for team-based businesses. If a teammate has Windows, they are out of luck since they cannot open a .pages file. Windows users would need to log in to their iCloud each time and have access to the bare minimum features.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

Its free so why not start with Pages?

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main type of problems that are being solved by Pages is easy and fast access to writing a document that a template is not needed for. If you are in a meeting and need to take notes, it's right there.

  ### 6. Great Word Processor for Fancy Documents

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I love the documents that you can create using pages. They are really fancy and professional-looking. I also like that it already comes on my apple devices. The collaborative portion is really great. You can work with your entire team at the same time. Share and edit documents and see changes in real-time. The note-taking feature is very clean. You can use your apple pencil if you have one on pages, share documents, create folders for documents. I also like that tag feature. You can color-code different documents with different tags.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

It doesn't work great if you're looking to edit Microsoft documents because when you return them, they don't stay looking the same. So I would suggest using one or the other. If you start with a word document, I would continue using/editing it on Word. If you start on pages, then I would keep using/editing documents on pages. Going back and forth changes the layout a bit. If you're not concerned with layout and are looking for just a place to jot down ideas/thoughts then you can use both.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

If you want to create very fancy documents quickly, it's a great tool. However, it does not have the edit features and document options found in Word. So you need to really know what you want to do with the documents before deciding on Pages rather than Word. Also, my recommendations are for Apple product users. I'm not sure how well Pages works on Microsoft devices.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great tool if you want to create professional-looking documents. Also, it helped solve collaboration issues because it has a real-time collaboration option so you can work with colleagues together on the same document. If colleagues are working at different times of the day, or at the same time the collaboration features are great.

  ### 7. alternative to word

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea B. | Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

It is a typical mac product that work smoothly. I can export all my docs to other devices and the connection is simply perfect. UX is user friendly and all features are interesting

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

It is not complete as Microsoft Word. Also, when I export files to .doc (the most common editor) it gives problem in compability so it is not really easy to connect with prospect

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a mac user is the first solution I worked on. On the other hand, it is just another tool to use, not really solving a problem for me. I normally alternate with other tools

  ### 8. Multifunctional built-in IOS app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan D. | Media Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Pages is capable of creating everyday documents and report writing as well other materials. I love the pre-built templates and being able to easily adjust fonts, insert images and change appearance of my docs.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

The standard .pages file type is non-transferable to non-Apple users. This can be frustrating if I'm looking to send something quickly and do not export to a PDF. Using images in documents took a bit to learn how to do and the font editor takes many steps to adjust spacing and depth.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use pages as my main document creator for meeting notes, reports, business operation guides, generating agreements for clients - mainly everything. It's been a useful tool.

  ### 9. User Friendly App

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carly W. | Store Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

It's very easy to use and save to phones or tablets. I use it a lot to edit my resumes

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Not much to dislike, it's easy to use and doesn't take up much data

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

Very easy to use

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to send my resumes out and to take better notes during meetings

  ### 10. Pages, An Easy and Accessible Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nelli K. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Pages are a beneficial application for typing almost anything. It offers ready-made templates for essays, reports, resumes, flyers, posters, and presentations. Besides adding text, you can also create graphs and tables to display data. In addition, you can experiment with different fonts. You can even add comments when collaborating with other users.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

One downside of Pages is that it often isn't fully supported on other computers. Some documents written on Pages may not always show up properly for non-Apple computers.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pages allow me to write reports, share research, and improve my writing. I can even express myself creatively by creating posters or banners for fundraisers and school events. I can also share my new ideas by collaborating with others.

  ### 11. Surprisingly a good and free word alternative

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

It can replace publisher as well, so it's a 2 in 1 tool (both word and publisher)

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

People are not used to it as much as wird and google docs. So sometimes colleagues prefer working simultaneously with other tools.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

It's a must have if you are a Mac user, as it has all the benefits of word and it's free.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find it really easy to use, and I can easily output to other formats.
Easy to collaborate using Mac, iPhone and iPad.

  ### 12. Inefficient and could be improved

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah S. | Graduate Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

It's very basic and easy to use. I never have any issues with it as long as I'm only doing tasks that require only the most basic functions.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

The functionalities are very limited. Storage options, features, and even the interface seem as though they were made for a high schooler. They aren't horrible, but I personally find the way Microsoft Word is set up ensures that I have everything I need to be successful directly at my fingertips.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I truly don't solve many problems with pages. I am lucky that my company pays for the Microsoft office program so I don't have to use it.

  ### 13. Pages is Better than Word

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

The ease of use - it is easier to make clean and crisp looking documents for public presentation

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

After using Microsoft Offices Word for a number of years it can take a bit of adjustment to get used to Pages as the layout for formatting and style is set up differently.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating clean and crisp looking documents that look professionally created and have a feel of creativity to them is easy to accomplish using Pages versus other platforms.

  ### 14. Easy to use document creator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose Alejandro B. | Medellín Chapter Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Powerful and very easy to use, their visually dazzling templates make easy to create from scratch and find the right one for the task.
As Apple put it, is a canvas for creativity. Pages places you in the perfect creative environment.
Smooth import and export of Microsoft Word documents.
Gallery that you can use as the basis for your own flyers, pamphlets, certificates, postcards, newsletters, letters, reports, and brochures.
Create ebooks has never been so easy, and become multimedia alternatives.
Cant be compared to a profesionall publishing tool, but is an easy way to solve the creative task.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Not suitable for basic word processor stuff, its more advanced or ebook oriented that for daily actions.
Getting used to the menus takes time, its has his own way and could be much more complicated to someone used to Microsoft Word.
There is not a lot of tutorials of youtube videos around how to use Pages, when you get stuck.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

Apple pencil integration make's it easy to construct documents with.
The more than 70 templates has a lot of info and make it easy to start from a solid base

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create impactful documents, that need a more graphical approach.
It's my default app to create ebooks, flyers, postcards, reports, and brochures.

  ### 15. Best Word Processing Program out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon S. | Business Development Representatives, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Pages has a simple and easy-to-use UX - Plus formatting things is a breeze. Also, it works for almost every project I need to accomplish. There is no other program I would rather use.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Really the only thing I dislike is that it sometimes does not play well with other programs. Like if you take a word doc for Microsoft it will screw up the formatting. That sometimes can be annoying when others send you things to review or make edits on then you need to spend time reformatting so you can do what is needed. That is the case with most Apple products though. They want you to use their systems which is not a deal-breaker in my mind.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

I have not come across a project that pages could not handle. I sometimes choose pages over photoshop in designing a poster or something. Simply because it is easy and effective to use and I do not have to open a huge program like photoshop.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I literally use it for everything that requires a word or doc editing program - Writing reports, creating posters, making postcards. Before Pages using things like word slowed me down because have the time I did not get why it had so many options. However, with Pages it makes each project go by so much faster.

  ### 16. Great, simple software to use when writing documents!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan H. | Renewal Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Pages have all the functionality of Microsoft Word in my opinion. If you can use Word, then you will have no problem using pages. What I like the best is that it comes with multiple different templates if you're planning on writing an essay, document, envelope, report, etc., which simplifies your life instead of having to start from scratch! It also comes free with your purchase of Macbook Air or Macbook pro, so you do not need to pay for it unlike Microsoft Office tools which are only available for a certain period of time. The Pages are there indefinitely and comes with all other tools you'd need such as Keynote, Numbers, etc.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Not much besides that, a lot of companies use Word Docs, and Pages is typically my default software for opening documents. Everything else is great and simple to use. Changing the color, fonts, highlighting, etc. may also be a confusing at first if you're used to using Microsoft Words.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

Make sure that you convert the file to PDF when uploading documents so that it's universally accepted. Otherwise, other users may have trouble opening a file.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made it a lot easier to create reports or letters since those templates are provided. Overall, this has made it a lot easier to create documents since every tool that I need is already included in the Pages software. I've also been able to take notes and create simple letters using Pages in the background rather than having a notes app. I highly recommend having in your Mac, which should come in there by default.

  ### 17. It does the job, but doesn't go above and beyond

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley L. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

.doc and .docx files can easily open in Pages, and it's easy to export into different file types. You can add notes to Pages, which is nice when I'm editing my employees' work. There are also a surprising number of useful templates from Reports to Resumes.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Pages has limited fonts, so when I open other documents oftentimes, fonts are missing. I also feel like the formatting tab isn't very intuitive, and I often have to play around to get the formatting I want. I also prefer Google Docs, where multiple people can edit the same document at the same time and changes are easily tracked. Even though it does everything I *need* it to do, it still feels pretty basic and doesn't have any features or tools that really exceed my expectations. I also don't like that my only options are to save directly to my computer or in the cloud. Since I use this for business, if I want to use cloud storage, I have to create an entirely separate business apple ID. It's not convenient, nor is there a convenient way to swap between a personal and business apple ID account.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

Pages is great if you need a basic word processor and you don't need to share documents between teams.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pages is obviously much better than TextEditor, which is what comes auto-installed on Macs. It's also much easier to open other file types in Pages than it used to be. Back when I was in college, I had to purchase the Microsoft Office bundle in order to write papers for my classes. Now, with the updated version of Pages, I don't need to spend extra money on that software. We provide Macbooks to our employees, so it's nice not to have to make that extra purchase.

  ### 18. I prefer Pages over Microsoft Word anyday for anything.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colleen C. | Jr. Digital Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Instead of viewing this software as boring and mundane like Microsoft Word, Pages allows for much more creativity and document work.
It also allows you to do everything Word can do, but with the creative/design aspect.

Understandable that Pages is more design-friendly than Word since Apple is popular with designers and creatives, and Microsoft is more for the boring 1010101010000 types of people....(backend development.......yehk).

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Sometimes when moving around contents in my document, it completely obliterates my entire layout and template, and i have to spend time to figure out what is causing it and how to put everything back.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

The platform has many similar functions that Microsoft Word uses, where Pages has a more Modern aesthetic rather than a Business aesthetic.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating reports, presentations, and handouts (that are very, very, very aesthetically pleasing), collaborating with copy decks with other people, style guides, and personal career development.

  ### 19. Great programme for those with Apple products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eri K. | Creator of English-language materials, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

It's easy to use and navigate. I haven't had any problems using it so far and I've used Pages for over 5 years now.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

There is nothing that I dislike about the programme.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

I think it's great for Apple users as they don't need to install MS Word.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can open Office docs, which is great, so no need to have Microsoft Word as well.

  ### 20. Great Product for Apple-based users!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John C. | Independent Contractor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Compatibility and Universal File Types. Pages allows you to open a wide variety of documents (Mainly Microsoft word, HTML, etc.). It has a great amount of formatting tools and options for customization.
Footer and Headers are extremely easy to format for most intended use cases, The User Interface helps guide users in this case as well.
I also appreciate that with this newer version of Pages, it is compatible with older variants, for example: Pages '09 documents can be upgraded to this variant, and this variant can also export to older variants.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

The main thing about Pages is its incompatibility and lack of a desktop program for Windows. Windows programs by default cannot open a .pages filetype extension, and thus many users cannot open documents created with Pages. Additionally, while Windows users can operate Pages via the web browser, iCloud generally doesn't offer the same amount of tools as offered on the Mac OS desktop variants.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

For those looking at implementing Pages as a complete solution, please consider that it will be the best option if you are using Mac OS throughout the entire office AND users that will be reading your documents (both internal and external) will be using Pages as well to open the documents. While Pages documents can be exported to other application filetypes, other documents may have errors in converting to their platform.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pages allows for advanced formatting. For example, it is easy to visualize and switch fonts, prior to setting them. Additionally, the platform allows for users to implement additional graphics and placement of text on a page. For example, one can produce a spreadsheet within a Pages document (text-based) and personalize its design. Pages comes with a wide variety of templates usable for such cases. The document can then be exported to a vast amount of file types, such as PDF (and password ecrypted PDFs). This is a great benefit to add a layer of protection to confidential documents.

  ### 21. Great application for note taking as well as writing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaz W. | Warehouse Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I like the adaptability in the app that allows me to effortlessly export to any presentation or documents I'm working on that is necessary for successful imports. Also it's free!! Which is one of the biggest factors I love

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

There's not much to dislike in pages. I operate with it on iPad Pro and it works perfectly!

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When my college I always used Pages to write my summaries, college papers and even used it to brainstorm in preparation of using keynote

  ### 22. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I like that it is Intuitive and very easy to use. You can make and edit documents quickly and with ease.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

I don't like that it is not on all operating systems and devises. That makes it hard to transfer from one devise to another.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This helps solve communication problems. I can make invoices and announcements. It makes me more productive.

  ### 23. Pages application makes creating sophisticated projects easy.

  ### 24. Pages Review

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I do like that Apple provided their own free alternative to Microsoft Word. For the most part I think it's compatible with Word if you need to edit a document you have.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

I wish there were more features similar to Microsoft Word, I'm used to their software when it comes to Word documents so if they could mirror and even improve what Word has I think this would increase their usership.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not necessarily solving problems but I use it primarily for notes, writing formal documents, and editing my resume.

  ### 25. Easy to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

It's very easy to use and easy to figure out if you're not to tech savvy. At the same time it has all the bells and whistle's that you would want if you are a bit more tech savvy.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Sometimes it can be difficult to email somebody a document in pages because they might not have it, so I have to export it to a PDF.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

It's easy and has a ton of tools, along with the ability to collaborate with others.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able to keep a job throughout the pandemic by working at home and using pages. I am able to collaborate with other Mac users and make bulletins for church every week. I'm also able to create things for music as well.

  ### 26. A beautiful and thoughtful design software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Newspapers | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

This software is super easy to use. I used Pages while on staff at a newspaper and preferred it over the other newspaper formatting software we used. Anyone who has mastered the drag-and-drop of Powerpoint can get started with Pages right away - it's that simple! The preset templates are gorgeous and fulfill a wide range of professional needs like brochures and newsletters. They're highly customizable, and the software runs without lag.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Conversion when transporting files between Mac and PC is a pain. Switching between the different file formats wastes time.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Pages to create pages in a newspaper. As the person responsible for creating advertisements for clients, it was easy to make clean and original ads with Pages, even without advanced artistic abilities.

  ### 27. Clean and simple design, easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I prefer Pages when creating a document that will require flexible formatting options, particularly with flowcharts or graphics. It's also great for putting together collages or layering multiple images.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Poor compatibility with Word (which is the industry standard) makes it challenging to use as your preferred document drafting solution - you can export to other formats, but compatibility is not the standard and docs do not always format properly when initially created in Word. It's better used as a tool to supplement Word or Photoshop, but not a suitable replacement for either.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pages has easy to use image editing capabilities that are less robust but more intuitive than Photoshop. If you need to create a collage or compilation of images it's really easy to format them, remove background shading using the instant alpha tool, etc. There are also a number of clean design templates that can be leveraged for quick visuals that look like they took more time to create than they actually did. It's a solid tool for creating documents that aren't entirely text based (i.e., doesn't replace Word) but aren't entirely image based with a need for complex editing tools (i.e., doesn't replace Photoshop), but has both textual and graphic elements.

  ### 28. My Page Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benitta E. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I love the ease of use for the program. The templates that are offered are great! I have used it to make newsletters, ad books, bulletins and funeral programs.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

I dislike the way I can't make changes to the final document in other programs. This program should be usable in other programs as well.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to create beautiful bulletins and booklets for my employer. I am able to assist family and friends with funeral programs and birthday celebration flyers.

  ### 29. Superb, simplistic, stylish (and free) replacement for Word or any word processor for MacOS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Pages is a very powerful and stylish word processor for MacOS that allows you to create beautiful documents with ease. It's super powerful and has all the features you would expect, but unlike other word processors it isn't bloated with a ton of unneeded features.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

In rare cases there is a specific feature that isn't available on Pages. Also, most of the world uses Word and the .docx format, and while Pages is compatible, there are cases where incompatabilities arise.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for simple, every day word processing - documents, resumes and more.

  ### 30. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reisa A. | Freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Pages?**

It feels closer to a design program than Word does.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

It doesn't have ability for me to get as precise as I'd like.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homeschool printouts for my kids.

  ### 31. Most smooth functioning work processor for a Mac OS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

It functions pretty smoothly with a Mac OS. It opens up instantly. It rarely gets stuck. It is easy to tell whether you have saved a document or not as it shows the words "edited" on top if not saved.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

A few tips on how it functions in the initial 30 days of use would be great to get to know the functions of the word processor better. It is mostly pretty straightforward to use. Some formatting is lost at times when to converted to an MS word document which can hurt productivity and drive you to use a more known or used software such as MS Word in the absence of a quick fix.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pages helps me document my research and share it with my team to review. The smooth functionality with mac has saves me time given other word processing software are not as smooth as pages on a Mac OS.

  ### 32. Pages - Good for Flyers/Memo/Ads

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Easy to use - user friendly icon. Help page was also good. Watch a couple of quick videos on some of the formatting things to make it look especially good. Better options and drag and drop compared to WORD and much more functionality when compared to Google Docs.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Growing pains - just the usual transition. Not as easy to share as Google Docs if that matters to the project you are working on.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Difficult to have flyers and ads that looked fresh and inviting based on the common platforms I was using (Word and Google Docs). This looked clean, nice, contemporary.

  ### 33. excellent word processing app!

I like the ease of use of Pages word processing application. I like that it is easily accessible across all of my Apple devices with zero issues. That is a high value alone.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

I don't have any cons I can think of. All of the features available work great with me!

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main thing is being able to create a document on my phone and then pick up my tablet in the evening and review or edit the same document.

  ### 34. I love this option on my iPhone!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nicole g. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

Having pages right on my phone allows me to pull documents together quickly without using the computer and on the go.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

That I have to always convert to PDF when emailing a document otherwise someone that isn't using apple cannot open the document.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows me to quickly make, change, or send things like contracts to clients. Flyers for advertising, or charts and graphs for payroll and tax purposes.

  ### 35. Pages is simple to use and makes my documents look professional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate B. | Educational Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I love that I can completely control the look of the document, I can save templates to reuse (I create a lot of resources but they all have different formats so that saves a lot of time).

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Nothing, genuinely, it is easy to use and really great looking

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

If you create any sort of document for work pages is by far the most user friendly I have found. I have to use a range of media in my documents and I can place them with ease and make them looks really professional

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me create all my resources and in house documents simply and easily

  ### 36. If you don't have Microsoft Word, Pages is a good substitute.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie J. | Realtor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I like Pages because it is very similar to Microsoft word and is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

I've used Microsoft Word on both Mac and Windows platforms for years. So even though Pages does well, my preference is still Word.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the purchase of my latest macbook pro I did not buy the new microsoft word program so have used pages more and it is a good substitute if you don't want to spend the dollars for Microsoft word. And it is free.

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I like how it is very easy to move figures and images around text.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

I dislike that most documents are not yet compatible with Pages as it is still fairly new compared to Microsoft Word

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to "design" posters with Pages alone simply because of the ease of moving figures around. It has also been easy to print out labels.

  ### 39. Acceptable alternative to Word, but not quite as detailed.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kira C. | Special Education Instructional Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I like that the program is user-friendly. The options available are self-explanatory and easy to both figure out yourself and teach to others.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

I dislike that there are not as many options as Word, for which the program is an alternate. For example, I sorely miss WordArt, for which Pages does not seem to have an equivalent.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

A good substitution for Word if you're on a budget, but not a perfect copy if you are looking for an exact program.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One problem is that only Apple users can open the document as-is. To circumvent this, you often have to Export your document to Word or PDF if any other type of device needs to open it. A benefit I have realized is that they are incredibly straight forward and simple to work on.

  ### 40. Pages

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I am able to convert virtually any file to PDF and share it so the recipient successfully gets the correct format and is able to print it in full size.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

I don't find anything lacking in my uses for it, but there could be potential for competing with Google Docs with more professional layout and features.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to take files and send them to Apple users to ensure they have the correct formatting. It maintains the same layout as the documents I create.

  ### 43. Easy to create different documents for all your needs

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Performing Arts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Pages?**

The different features you can use to customize documents for any purpose.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

Some of the more complex features aren't easy to use, and it can take some time to look up instructions and figure it out, such as formatting.

**Recommendations to others considering Pages:**

Once you figure out how to use all of the features, Pages is a great tool to use for your business. It is easy to collaborate on documents with other coworkers and create documents for your organization's needs.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem we are solving is the ability to have several different employees working on the same project and edit the same document directly through iCloud. The benefits we've found are we can use pages to create several different types of documents, from collecting data to making marketing posters.

**What do you like best about Pages?**

I like pages because of the automatically saving aspect, as well as the fact that it is so easy to use across all Apple products.

**What do you dislike about Pages?**

I dislike the fact that others dont use it, so it can be hard to send a pages document to others and have to export it into a different format. It also doesnt have as much structure sometimes like Word does, but if you work with it, you can figure out little tips and tricks to get what you need done.

**What problems is Pages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The saving automatically and being easy to access from all products. It really is such a great benefit
