"Peace of mind when you need it most"
What do you like best about Own?
The documentation that they provide in the knowledge center is very detailed and contains all the information that is needed to work with their products.
What do you dislike about Own?
We had some issues with some very large objects that we were trying to backup during our onboarding. Support helped us through the process and resolved the issue.
What problems is Own solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to back up all of our data within the org, in our production and sandbox environments. We are now implementing archiving to help lower core storage utilization.
"Used OwnBackup for over a year"
What do you like best about Own?
The best part is that the backups can be restored from any point in history. The backups are all stored on the cloud and number of backups is not limited.
What do you dislike about Own?
The only caveat is that there is only one backup per a 24 hour window.
What problems is Own solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business continuity plans and basically to get customized alerts when there are drastic changes in volumes of records altered.
"Highly recommended"
What do you like best about Own?
Own backup provides peace of mind. Native Salesforce weekly export is not automated or nearly as robust.
What do you dislike about Own?
Searching the backups can be time-consuming. I wish the advanced search features were easier to use or better documented.
What problems is Own solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've restored data that was accidentally deleted or altered. We've used Own to research the history of records.
"Peace of mind"
What do you like best about Own?
We are confident that our data is routinely backed up and most importantly, that we can EASILY restore data if needed. As an admin, this is a huge relief.
What do you dislike about Own?
Nothing! We're able to backup data and metadata for both production and sandbox environments. It's wonderful
What problems is Own solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to restore any data that may have been lost due to inadvertent deletion by a Salesforce user or find changes that were made comparing one day to another. With the number of updates our system receives from a managed package to the multiple requests we get from program areas, this is huge.
"Efficient services and immediate benefits"
What do you like best about Own?
Usability, simplicity and effectiveness of the services
What do you dislike about Own?
Nothing so far! The system is reliable and robust.

What do you like best about Own?
OwnBackup responded to my request within 15 minutes. They were quick to set up a zoom meeting to walk us through what we needed to do to recover data lost.
What do you dislike about Own?
The technical support was great, nothing disliked.
What problems is Own solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to recover data lost during a Merge issue.
"An Insurance Policy for your data"
What do you like best about Own?
Ownbackup provides a clean, easy to pick up interface with which to interact.
Setting up backups is easy, and requires very little maintenance. We have not used OwnBackup for a disaster recovery situation yet, but during our evaluation phase the process of restoring data or metadata was not complicated.
What do you dislike about Own?
There isn't much to dislike.
Ownbackup's price points can be high, but the amount of competitors in the field for backing up Salesforce environments is low, so options are limited.
Recommendations to others considering Own:
As always, evaluate this software on a case-by-case basis for your own situation.
What problems is Own solving and how is that benefiting you?
The largest benefits we have seen are having our data insured, easily seeding data into sandboxes, and statistics of data/backups that provide us insight into our use of Salesforce.
