"osCommerce is a solid and flexible shopping cart solution we can highly customize"
3.5/5
What do you like best about osCommerce?

I like that osCommerce has the capabilities to deliver dynamic shopping cart features such as photo galleries, brief and extended item descriptions and product options such as size and color. I like that osCommerce is constantly being updated and has many templates that we can use to help us post shopping carts quickly. osCommerce can integrate with several payment processing platforms, which is one of the main features we need in a shopping cart. What do you dislike about osCommerce?

In order to make osCommerce blend well with other parts of our website, it requires some technical expertise with coding and design. Compared to other electronic commerce solutions, osCommerce doesn't have as many plug-ins and modern design templates that work smoothly with mobile. There are some mobile themes, but they just don't look as good on mobile in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A customizable e-commerce shopping cart solution that runs well"
3.5/5
What do you like best about osCommerce?

I like that osCommerce has a large community of users that help to contribute to its functional development and provide tutorials and feedback for users that may have issues implementing it. osCommerce has all of the primary functionality features that most users look for in a shopping cart. We can connect it to many different types of payment gateways and haven't had many problems in terms of processing orders and managing inventory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about osCommerce?

Their aren't as many themes that we can use for design purposes. Compared to other e-commerce solutions, there are also fewer plug-ins to add further functionality to our stores. The plug-ins that do exist are often filled with programming issues, at least more so compared to other stores like those that are a part of content management systems or other online store solutions like Shopify. "Processes transactions well and has good management tools"
4.5/5
What do you like best about osCommerce?

osCommerce works with many payment processors and typically processes transactions without any problems. I like that there are many account, item and order management tools for us to have control over many details aspects of our store. It's pretty easy to add new items to our osCommerce account with a spreadsheet or by manually inputting the product details and images. We can add full details for most of our products along with many options like color and size. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about osCommerce?

I think one of the weakest aspects of osCommerce is the default structure and design of the stores. The designs are largely dated and don't always work well with mobile devices that have smaller screens. Though there are templates available, there aren't nearly as many compared to other e-commerce solutions and the ones that do exist aren't all that stunning. "Oscommerce is lightweight, flexible, and has thousands of modules ready to add functionality. "
3.5/5
What do you like best about osCommerce?

I like the way that the strong user base of Oscommerce has perfected the code and modules in a very lightweight system that makes it easy to build complex ecommerce functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about osCommerce?

Support from the makers of Oscommerce is not that strong. For this reason I suggest Oscommerce only to clients who can afford good programming, and can really find a person familiar with Oscommerce specifically, not just PHP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"osCommerce has saved us software costs and helped us deliver a full e-commerce experience"
4/5
What do you like best about osCommerce?

I like open source software that has been in development for many years and has a large active community like osCommerce. I feel that using an e-commerce structure like osCommerce gives me more room for custom development changes to help meet the specific needs of different projects. The out-of-box online shopping cart experience is sufficient to get basic projects up and going in little time and without much coding work required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about osCommerce?

There aren't as many quality shopping cart themes available compared to some other open or privately developed shopping carts out today. Many of the alterations I usually perform require more in-depth programming work that can't be fully implemented with osCommerce's standard account management features.
