OriginPro offers extended analysis tools for Peak Fitting, Surface Fitting, Statistics, Signal Processing and Image Handling. Along with general statistical tools such as descriptive statistics, T-tests, ANOVA, and survival analysis, OriginPro also offers advanced Time Series analysis and Quality Improvement tools including DOE, SPC, and MSA. Users can customize operations such as importing, graphing and analysis, all from the GUI. Graphs, analysis results and reports update automatically when data or parameters change. Along my professional career, I have been using OriginPro for all my figure presentations, reports and manuscripts for publication. It is a great versatile tool, with a huge number of options tools in statistics, data manipulation, fitting, signal processing, digitizer, plotting, etc. I love the fact that, using OriginPro, "the data is becoming alive" and we can interact in a more fluid/dynamic way with results. **What do you dislike about OriginPro?** I agree and support this observation: very little in the way of downsides and if one encounters an issue, the support is superb and responsive. **What problems is OriginPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** My most recent problem was related to batch processing, and equation solver for system of equations. Currently at work we are generating a huge number of data files which required a painful and repetitive workflow for analysis and presentation. After reaching out to Origin technical support, they helped me to understand how to use this powerful tool of batch processing that automates the application of a uniform set of analysis and graphing operations across multiple data files or datasets. This changed completely the way I'm looking and processing my data now. This also keeps at better organization of projects, and individual files can be easily retrieved and checked out in case of outliers or red flags. After a quick advise from their technical support, everything works greats and intuitive. For sure, their technical support deserved a 10 out of 10 note! great service and very friendly, always open to help. ### 2. I do not need so much preparation of the data (most of my data are in excel). Just simple copy paste of my data or simply importing it making it very convenient. I used Origin pro almost 5 times a week. From plotting to testing simple stat difference in my experiment. The graphics also gives a more professional impression. I love how originpro has most of the essential to advanced stat test included in the package. The tutorial on how to use the software is available in the internet both in reading and video format. Purchasing inside the US is also easy and convenient. **What do you dislike about OriginPro?** I did encounter diffculty of finding resources to format my plot. Sometimes it is not as straight forward as it seems probably because of the specific format I wanted to do. I think it is not totally bad because there so many online resources in the internet available. **What problems is OriginPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems Originpro solving for me is the statistical analysis and data presentation. This is really very important to me as postdoc. Large data is also my concern which some other software cannot handle. ### 3. One of the most valuable features for me is the nonlinear curve fitting with multiple built-in fitting functions and the ability to customize or script your own models. This is incredibly useful when dealing with complex experimental datasets, such as those from experimental petrology. My favorite aspects of OriginPro include the ease of generating publication-quality plots, the intuitive drag-and-drop plotting interface, and the smart plotting templates that save a lot of time. The software also integrates very well with Excel, which is a big plus for managing large datasets. I primarily use OriginPro for plotting time-series reaction data, fitting kinetic models, and comparing results across experimental conditions. The multi-panel graph layouts and batch processing capabilities are also extremely helpful for streamlining repetitive workflows. **What do you dislike about OriginPro?** One drawback is that OriginPro does not support macOS natively， I have to install a virtual machine or set up a dual-boot system, which is inconvenient and resource-intensive. Despite this limitation, I highly recommend OriginPro for any researcher who needs a robust and flexible platform for data analysis and scientific visualization. **What problems is OriginPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** I mainly use OriginPro for processing results from serpentinization experiments, kinetic model fitting, and comparing different mineral compositions. It has become a core tool in my scientific workflow. ### 4. At a time where many software packages are bloated, buggy and slow, I find that OriginPro is totally stable and responsive. 2. I use it almost daily and have never had it crash. 3. Once you are used to the GUI (all software has a learning curve) it is a very efficient graphing/analysis program to work in. 4. I can have multiple instances of OriginLab open and move data, plot formats etc. between them without any crashes. 5. Customer support -- they answer your emails quickly. 6. Huge number of plot formats - pretty much everything you'll ever need for making publication quality plots. 7. Exports graphs as emf's that open in Illustrator perfectly. 8. I'm a C programmer at heart and love the ability to write C-like code (OriginC) as macros. 9. They offer inexpensive student licenses for the grad students in my lab. **What do you dislike about OriginPro?** The spreadsheet has a functionally similar to excel, but it's "formula" aspect could be improved. There is a formula cell above each column (labeled F(x)=) that is useful, but doesn't provide the flexibility that excel can. However, moving data between excel and Origin is easy, so I often apply formulas in excel and then paste back into Origin. Too many icons - I assume you can hide many of them, but they surround the interface on all sides. **What problems is OriginPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Scientific plotting and data analysis. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use, and you can trust the results it generates. Data manipulation is satisfying using the formula fields with data being treated as column vectors. There are many mathematical tools and gadgets that one uses which includes a curve digitizer. In summary, one's efficiency increases dramatically by using OriginLab. The use of folders neatly compartmentalises the project into defined sections and I am a very satisfied user. **What do you dislike about OriginPro?** Very little in the way of downsides and if one encounters an issue, the support is superb and responsive. **What problems is OriginPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** a) Keeps the project in good order using folders. b) The ability to present multiple graphs. c) The ability to cope and display a lot of information, something not easily achieved using Excel. d) External data links expand the usefulness of the software. e) The graphic display in V2025b has been upgraded and I spend less time on the graphs. f) The ability to add vertical and horizontal lines on the fly is a gamechanger. g) The mathematical interpolation is very useful. h) One develops trust in the work that has been conducted. ### 6. The intuitive nature of the data plotting interface makes visualizing contemporaneous but seemingly disparate data streams easy. And you can back out of a particular visualization quickly. If you prefer to use another spreadsheet application--say Excel-- to work up your data before porting it into Origin, the transition is seamless. **What do you dislike about OriginPro?** The application has gotten a bit dated, owing to the company trying, perhaps a bit too hard, to keep all the legacy menus. Doing stacked data plot displays is a bit clunky. **What problems is OriginPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** This application allows good visualization of time series data along with some rudimentary automation of arithmetic operations on individual data sets. ### 8. Customer support has been world-class and I have been using the software frequently since I first started with it about 4 weeks ago. **What do you dislike about OriginPro?** I can't say that I truly "dislike" anything about Origin. One of the biggest challenges for me has been the sheer breadth of functionality and zeroing in on what I needed to learn to accomplish my immediate objectives. **What problems is OriginPro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Efficient & productive analysis of testing results for product prototypes. ### 9.
