What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

Having a dedicated operating system that can also be used for free with power of linux is a very exciting combination for database provider for critical business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

Nothing much to complain to be honest, if you go for the free option which is without their support, it is quite a lot you get for the free price tag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

The platform and software have huge architecture and I appreciate the system presentation and the technology is great. The speed of the system is much better than competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

I do not like the high cost. It could integrate better and offer better small enterprise software services etc. Expand the and update software for free would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

To update the kernel Live without having it reboot, which is attractive for business that wants a little downtime. Amazing. You can run graphical Linux apps on Oracle Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

It does not claim 100% bug-to-bug compatibility with RHEL. If one wants a support contract, then it is chargeable. Moreover, it uses its own UEK rather than standard one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

I personally feel it is much more better than redhat linux. It has all the falvour what you have seen in typical linux. And its cheaper with better support quality. All the commands are very similar to redhat linux plus they are offering this on oracle cloud and ready to move our existing physical servers on oracle cloud, which is great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

Nothing is there that i dislike. Product is good. Sometimes it is hard to get hold of support team then we have to escalate it to the sales team to get our issue resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

It is fast, easy and intuitive to use. If you are using another linux distro on cloud, you should definitely try this one. I was able to get comfortable within a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

Since I use it on the cloud (console), it can be frustrating (like every console). The documentation is awesome and helps with those little issues you face while you are still learning how to use the console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

Oracle Linux is one of the best alternatives for CentOS, which was discontinued last year.

We can easily convert the existing CentOS workload to Oracle Linux seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

I don't see anything to dislike about the current Oracle Linux OS, which met all production workloads.

If the basis support price is reduced, then it would be very competitive in the market; Oracle may consider this . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some applications do not work on it entirely as on windows; for example and music software Audacity do not work the way it works on windows. This needs to be upgraded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
