**What do you like best about Optro?**

The way Optro surfaces relevant tools and integrations based on actual workflow context rather than generic category browsing has changed how our team approaches finding new solutions. Instead of spending hours evaluating options that turn out to be irrelevant we are landing on genuinely useful tools much faster than before. The curated quality of what gets surfaced has also meant that the tools we discover through Optro tend to be production ready rather than half finished products that look good in a screenshot.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

The coverage of niche industry specific tools is still developing and we occasionally hit gaps where a category we need is underrepresented.

**What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tool discovery and evaluation was an unstructured process in our organisation that consumed significant time without a reliable framework for making decisions. Different teams were independently evaluating overlapping tools and nobody had visibility into what others had already assessed or were currently using. Optro gave us a centralised discovery layer that has reduced duplicated evaluation effort across departments and created more consistency in the tools our teams ultimately adopt which has simplified our IT governance conversations considerably.

I use AuditBoard in a professional corporate environment to support internal audit, risk management, and compliance activities.
My day-to-day use of AuditBoard includes managing audit plans, documenting control testing, tracking issues and remediation actions, and collaborating with different stakeholders through centralized workflows.

Specifically, I work with Audit planning and execution modules and risk and control documentation

I find AuditBoard to be a very simple and user-friendly application. The dashboard is particularly helpful as it allows me to see all project statuses in one place, like submitted, certify, and completed statuses for tests. It's great for managing SOX Control testing and risk registers because I can create tests and easily track details through the dashboard. The initial setup was smooth, thanks to the AuditBoard learning resources, which made it easy to complete tasks like bulk import and document upload.

Giving access to users from only possible from the Bulk import.

**What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use AuditBoard for managing SOX Control Testing and Risk Register, creating tests, and tracking them on a dashboard. It solves issues with risk assessments and consolidates test tracking, unlike our previous tool.

AuditBoard has been helpful for bringing consistency to audit planning and execution. I like that evidence requests testing and follow ups stay organized instead of living in emails and scattered files. The workflows make it easier to assign ownership and track progress across multiple audits at the same time. It also improves visibility for stakeholders because status is clear and we spend less time chasing updates.

Some parts take time to configure the way you want especially when setting up templates.Reporting is good but certain views can feel slower when the dataset grows.

Earlier our audit work relied heavily on spreadsheets and manual tracking which made it easy to miss details. AuditBoard centralizes workpapers evidence and documentation so audits are easier to manage and review. This has reduced rework improved accountability and made it easier to stay compliant. While I find AuditBoard extremely useful, there are a few areas where I think it could be improved. At times, moving between different modules or dashboards feels a bit clunky, especially when I’m managing multiple audits or dealing with large amounts of data. Some of the reporting features, although powerful, could be more intuitive creating highly customized reports often takes extra steps or manual tweaks. I’ve also noticed that for new team members who aren’t familiar with audit software, the learning curve can be a bit steep, making onboarding longer than I’d like. Additionally, while notifications and reminders are helpful, having more control over them would prevent information overload. Overall, AuditBoard works really well, but improving navigation, report flexibility, and user guidance would make the experience even smoother.

Auditboard makes audit and risk management much more organized and transparent. I like how everything is centralized in one place,which improves collaboration, tracking,and reporting. The dashboard and workflow automation save time and reduce manual effort.

Some features have a learning curve, especially for new users. Performance can occasionally feel show,and certain configuration or reports could be more flexible and custamizable. Better in-app guidance would also help.

**What do you like best about Optro?**

Simple single source of information that syncs throughout the documentation.  You can enter the information at the control level which will then appear throughout testing.  The drag and drop ability makes attaching documents very easy to manage, especially when dealing with multiple control owners.  The support team at AuditBoard is very attentive and there for us whenever we need them, and we use them significantly for mass uploading of information.  They also are very open to suggestions when we offer solutions to some of the hurdles that we are facing.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

The Narrative templates are not quite designed to be effective for editing/distribution and printing.  We have found it more effective to use Word and attach the document in SOXHUB, but that removes the hashtag ability to pull information in from the control details.

**Recommendations to others considering Optro:**

I would highly recommend AuditBoard for any size audit function.  I have used other software in the past and they seem to be primarily geared to larger audit functions that are internationally based.  AuditBoard (SOXHUB) can handle that wide range but also easy enough to use for a smaller audit function.

**What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business documentation requests (PBCs) are facilitated much easier which includes tracking and reminders.  The various frameworks are integrated to ensure coverage, such as COSO and COBIT as well as for risk management.  The workflow for testing and review is very efficient allowing us to stay on track and know exactly what the status is for all cycles that we are testing.  We also use the archiving capability often since our controls are changing year over year and we need to refer back to the prior year for guidance.

**What do you like best about Optro?**

I have been using AuditBoard for about five years now and I truly love it. As a risk and controls professional, I find the usability of AuditBoard to be fantastic. The thought and innovation that AuditBoard brings to its software and at their conferences are best in class, making it a no-brainer choice for us. The connected risk environment that it offers stood out during our RFP process, especially when compared to other big competitors like Workiva and AutoFort. The AI feature integrated within the platform helps drive the wording of our controls within our risk control matrix, removing much of the manual work and allowing us to focus on more critical or risky areas. AuditBoard also helps with the transparency of our risks, maintaining the general status of our controls, and keeping the three lines of defense connected. Additionally, the seamless integration with Microsoft Office is invaluable, making it effortless to update Word and Excel with audit and supporting documentation. I highly appreciate the ongoing relationship with our customer success manager and the sales team, which strengthens our collaboration beyond just the initial sales process.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

I feel like AuditBoard is growing a little too fast, and as a result, the service ticket process is becoming more AI-generated rather than involving human interaction. While AI can make responses quicker, they aren't as effective or helpful. This shift can impact the quality of support I receive when I need assistance.

I really appreciate how I can automate reviews and help streamline the execution of our audits.

I find it frustrating that the platform does not make it easy to conduct annual internal audit risk assessments. It fails to incorporate our previous year's residual risk inputs, which makes it difficult to compare them with current results. Additionally, it does not clearly integrate the issues identified during risk assessments and completed internal audits.

This platform helps us conduct our audits more effectively and efficiently by centralising everything in one place. It enables us to automate our workflow, so we receive notifications when something is ready for review and can quickly send it back to the repairer. By using this system, we reduce the need for internal notifications through other channels. It also allows us to collaborate and work together in real time with minimal latency.

I love how AuditBoard has a very intuitive design for end-users, making it easy to navigate. It's modern and pleasing to use, not looking 'clunky' at all. I also found the initial setup to be pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

There are a few improvements that various team members have suggested. The 'views' in the new reporting platform should have better management, like allowing folders or subsections for various teams so the list doesn't look very cluttered. Also, there should be better visibility of who created a view, when, and why (notes). Additionally, when users navigate to a view and take a deeper dive, going back to the previous screen resets everything and the user has to start over again. Additionally, when drilling down in source data, there should be links to go to an object (control or issues or task, etc.). For Risk Oversight, there could be more improvements for entity level risk assessments.

AuditBoard provides a central location for SOX compliance and risk management data. It's intuitive and modern, making navigation easy and pleasant.

**What do you like best about Optro?**

I love how user-friendly AuditBoard is. As one of the administrators, I find it really easy to go in and add or remove fields and create new audit templates for different projects like continuous monitoring and regulatory reviews. AuditBoard also solves consistency problems for us, ensuring that all audits are completed in a consistent manner. The AI capabilities have been a real boon, helping our teams with consistent report and issues drafting. Overall, I love AuditBoard and recommend it to anyone that I hear is looking for a new tool.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

In exploring annotate it would be helpful to have review notes linked within the documents that are being reviewed. Additionally, since we don't use the workstream platform, we would look for more easy use ways to connect our outside partners (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow) into our platform and the way we use it. I think it would be helpful to have some self-create dashboards in the platform as well, not just the canned dashboards.

AuditBoard solves consistency problems in audits and is user-friendly. It helps ensure all audits are completed uniformly and provides guardrails for audits. It also facilitates consistent report and issues drafting, and I love how easy it is to manage and enhance audit templates.

**What do you like best about Optro?**

I use AuditBoard for a variety of tasks including SOX and Operational Audits, risk assessments, and more within our Internal Audit function. I like how it helps us deploy resources efficiently across our audit plan and manage those audits from start to finish. Tracking and managing issue remediation is straightforward, and performing risk assessments in the tool is effective. What I like most is the continuous improvement of the tool and the new features that are being rolled out, which really enhances its usability.

Some functionality is in early stages and makes it difficult to use, including things like resource planner and some of the newer proposed functionality.

**What do you like best about Optro?**

Have you ever heard an auditee being pleased with being audited? Ours are and mostly because we have made it super easy for them to understand their controls and engage them in the overall process through the most user-friendly auditing platform, AuditBoard. We just recently implemented and the response has been very positive among the user community. We have one single hub for all risks and controls. The workflow capability makes it well-integrated where the auditees can go to their dashboards and make a one-stop shop for all things risks and controls.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

I am a CPA so cost is always an area that can be improved. We would like it to be less costly so that it becomes a no-brainer for all audit organizations. We had to build a business case and it was a hard sell because of its price so hopefully as they dominate the market, they can lower their cost and it will be a win-win.

You won't regret it.

Certifications, accountability, real-time visibility, connecting policies to frameworks and controls, changing the control culture, etc.
Very important is dashboards and reporting to management and the Audit Committee.

I am excited about the reporting feature of AuditBoard, which promises to transform how we conduct audits by moving from Excel to a more robust system. The anticipation of using more features as our implementation progresses is thrilling, especially the potential of reporting and analytics capabilities. Attending the AuditBoard conference has heightened my interest in fully utilizing these functionalities once we complete the implementation and start using AuditBoard operationally. Additionally, the prospect of leveraging the SOCS audit and the risk oversight module gives me confidence in AuditBoard's ability to meet our needs effectively.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

I find the initial setup of AuditBoard challenging as it requires specific training offered by AuditBoard's academy. This makes the implementation process somewhat difficult without the right guidance.

I truly appreciate how AuditBoard serves as a comprehensive one-stop shop, fulfilling all our needs without requiring us to explore additional options. The ease of use really stands out to me; setting it up and using it was remarkably easy, allowing us to get things started in a matter of minutes. AuditBoard shines in enabling seamless, company-wide communication, including with various BPOs, which is essential for our operations. This platform has helped streamline our internal audit testing, showcasing its great utility in efficiently managing our tasks.

This platform streamlines all of our audit processes, providing an excellent user experience for both our auditors and auditees. It is very easy to work with customer support on all our questions and they are a great partner letting us know how others are using the platform for most efficiencies. We use it every day for every audit.

It has been challenging to generate reports in Auditboard that meet our stakeholders' needs, but I am hopeful that the new Document Intelligence feature will address this issue.

This tool has been instrumental in providing us with a central location for all things related to audits within our company. It has greatly contributed to establishing consistency across our processes, and the workflows make it much easier to manage our various risks and controls. Performance performance performance! Auditboard is incredibly fast and intuitive. From implementation to day-to-day use the Auditboard is seamless our team was able to get up and running within a month. The product is so intuitive that we rarely have to go back to the product team for any questions and adjustments to the configuration.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

There's not much to say in terms of dislikes, just certain good to haves. The implementation of rich text will enable reviews to be more efficient and communication between tester and reviewer to be more precise and concise. 

**Recommendations to others considering Optro:**

Demo the product, talk to existing users, go to the conference, you will be blown away!

Being able to have robust infrastructure for internal controls / IA function, including exec dashboards, etc.

**What do you dislike about Optro?**

Would be helpful to have a better risk assessment functionality.  Also, for companies that use both soxhub and ops audit, more linking of info might be helpful.   Would also like to see better functionality for report writing.   I think exporting could be better as well ----  it would be good to have more AB consultants that help through an implementation too.  We used EY and I don't think we got a very good implementation that allowed us to leverage the strength of the tool.  I expected using them would get us far ahead, but now one year in, we have to go back and try to retro fit more user requirements / requests in a common sense way.

Getting away from using inconsistent structure in EY teams for internal audit department structure
