## OpenVPN Access Server Reviews
 ### 1. Simple, Reliable VPN with Easy Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaung Htet H. | Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

What I like best about OpenVPN Access Server is how quickly it lets you deploy a secure remote-access VPN without getting lost in complex configuration. The web-based UI is clean and intuitive, so even when managing users, certificates, or access control, everything is centralized and easy to navigate. Compared to traditional VPN setups, it saves a lot of time during initial deployment and ongoing maintenance.

From a workflow perspective, the integration with directory services (like LDAP/Active Directory) is a big win—it simplifies user management and avoids the need to maintain separate credentials. The client provisioning is also very smooth; users can download pre-configured clients, which reduces support overhead significantly.

Performance-wise, it’s stable and reliable for day-to-day operations, even with multiple concurrent users. I’ve also found the flexibility in routing (split tunneling vs full tunnel) useful depending on the use case.

Another strong point is its balance between cost and value. You can start small and scale as needed, which makes it practical for both lab environments and production use. Plus, the documentation and community support are solid, so troubleshooting or expanding setups doesn’t feel overwhelming.

Overall, it has improved my workflow by reducing setup time, minimizing manual configuration, and making remote access management much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

One drawback of OpenVPN Access Server is that some advanced configurations still require CLI access, even though the web UI is generally user-friendly. For network engineers who want fine-grained control (routing tweaks, policy-based behavior, or deeper troubleshooting), switching between GUI and CLI can slow down workflows.

Another limitation is the licensing model. While it’s easy to start, costs can increase quickly as the number of concurrent users grows, which may not be ideal for larger deployments compared to some alternative VPN solutions.

Performance tuning options are somewhat limited in the UI as well. For example, optimizing throughput or handling high-load scenarios often requires manual adjustments and deeper knowledge, rather than being guided through the interface.

Additionally, logging and monitoring could be improved. The built-in logs are useful but not always detailed or easy to analyze for complex issues, especially without integrating external monitoring tools. More advanced analytics or built-in visualization would make troubleshooting faster.

Overall, while it’s reliable and easy to deploy, improving advanced configuration visibility, scaling cost efficiency, and enhancing monitoring features would make it even more powerful.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using OpenVPN Access Server, we struggled with providing secure remote access to internal systems, especially for users working from different locations. The setup process with traditional VPN solutions was time-consuming, required complex manual configuration, and often led to inconsistent user experiences. Supporting end users (client setup, credential issues, connectivity problems) also took a significant amount of time.

After implementing OpenVPN Access Server, we were able to centralize and simplify remote access. The web-based UI made it much easier to manage users, assign permissions, and monitor connections. Integration with directory services (like LDAP/Active Directory) allowed us to reuse existing credentials, which reduced administrative overhead and improved security consistency.

One major benefit is the reduction in deployment and support time. What previously took hours to configure per user can now be done in minutes with auto-generated client profiles. This has significantly reduced the number of support tickets related to VPN access. From a performance standpoint, the solution has been stable and reliable, allowing users to securely access internal resources without frequent disconnects.

In terms of ROI, it has helped minimize operational effort while maintaining strong security. We didn’t need to invest heavily in additional infrastructure or specialized training, which made onboarding faster. Overall, it solved our remote access challenges by making VPN deployment simpler, user management more efficient, and day-to-day operations more reliable.

 ### 2. Stable, Private, and Easy—Unlimited Bandwidth Across Locations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fedde B. | Technical Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

It stands out from other platforms by offering unlimited bandwidth across multiple locations, which can be selected according to our needs. The connection is stable and provides a true sense of online privacy. I love how easy it is to switch locations, its simplicity, and ease of use.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

OpenVPN has truly been a game-changer for me. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say—I haven’t run into any issues or problems at all. The interface is intuitive and makes it very easy to use, and I especially like how quickly I can connect to servers.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use OpenVPN to create a secure connection when I’m accessing the internet from public Wi‑Fi networks, since it prioritizes my privacy with strong encryption and a strict no-logs policy. It helps keep my data protected from hackers and other parties that might try to intercept it.

 ### 3. Feature-Rich, Fast, and Secure VPN That’s Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kroesh K. | IT Network and Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

OpenVPN offers a vast array of features for a free program. I like that it provides excellent servers with stable and impressive browsing speeds, it protects your data and keeps you anonymous to prevent information theft. I also appreciate that, once installed, it is quite easy to connect from either a laptop or a phone.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

This is an excellent program that enables secure browsing with the push of a button. I have nothing negative to say: it adapts perfectly to the needs of our entire team, and we haven’t encountered any problems at all.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenVPN eliminates the need for me to purchase a dedicated VPN service because it lets me set up and use my own personal server. We use OpenVPN to connect our two offices to each other and to access the office network again when working remotely. It also makes secure file transfers easier for remote users.

 ### 4. Secure and Easy to Use Connection

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergio L. | Responsable TI, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

Basically, I love the ease of management and use of OpenVPN Access Server. Our users did not find it difficult to adapt to the OpenVPN client, which is often a challenge with other changes. It was an easy adoption change. Additionally, we are very happy with the improvements they have implemented in OpenVPN over the years. We have been collaborating with them since 2014, and our experience has been positive throughout this time.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

A problem we had with OpenVPN Access Server is that, to access the VPN, we have to redirect a company domain to an internal IP of the server. This has limited the security functionalities of Cloudflare for our domain, as we couldn't enable all its functionalities. The fact that the DNS was dynamic didn't work well, and we had to forgo security aspects in Cloudflare to function properly.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenVPN Access Server solves secure remote access issues, allowing users to work with corporate applications without compromising the company's security.

**Official Response from Adam Bullock:**

> Apologies, I am using Google Translate to respond, sorry for the grammatical errors.

Really solid comments about what you don't like about Access Server, I will communicate it to the team. But I'm glad to know the positive things and I appreciate the review. Thank you for being our customer!

 ### 5. A Decade of Reliable, Easy-to-Admin OpenVPN Access Server

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan F. | CIO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

We have been using OpenVPN for over a decade. OpenVPN is easy for our users, simple to administrate, and has been reliable. Most importantly, in the last couple of years, the amount of effort being put into the product has really reflected on the administration side.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

With all the recent updates, I find it difficult to find anything I dislike about OpenVPN Access Server.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenVPN provides us the ability to keep our proprietary and sensitive data inside our domain and allows our users access to this information. We are not a cloud-using company, and need our data kept on-premise, so OpenVPN ensures we can do this.

 ### 6. Powerful Crypto, Surprisingly Approachable VPN Appliance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angel G. | IT Administrator II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

What I like most about OpenVPN Access Server is the way it balances power with approachability. Under the hood, it’s doing serious cryptographic work, but on the surface it feels like a well-mannered appliance rather than a pile of config files just waiting for you to make one wrong move.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

The abstraction layer is a bit of a mixed blessing. The web UI makes common tasks straightforward, but as soon as you need to do something unusual, you can run into invisible walls. Not every OpenVPN feature is exposed in a clear or complete way, and when you drop down to manual config edits, it can feel like you’re suddenly fighting the system rather than extending it.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves identity and access control for remote connectivity. Rather than juggling shared keys or brittle, static configs, you get per-user authentication, certificates, and straightforward revocation. As a result, when access needs to change, the blast radius stays small and predictable. For me, that means fewer “who still has access?” moments, and faster offboarding that doesn’t depend on hope.

 ### 7. One-Button VPN Connection with Plenty of Options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit S. | Cloud Platform Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

It’s very easy to connect with just the push of a button, and it helps me with many tasks. One of the best features is the wide range of options available when choosing how to connect to a VPN, which makes it simple to pick what works best for me.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

It provides robust security features, which makes it an appealing option for users. In my experience, the high-speed connection has been excellent and has made using it a great overall experience.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps me anonymous when I need it, secure when I'm connected to a public Wi-Fi network, and gives me greater privacy by allowing me to access some websites blocked in my area. It offers a comprehensive approach to online privacy and security.

 ### 8. Secure Access Made Simple—Clear Dashboard, No VPN Hassle

Our experience has been genuinely amazing. Everything has worked perfectly so far, and it fits our needs really well. I especially appreciate that it isn’t like a traditional VPN that demands a lot of setup or ongoing maintenance.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me work from home when I’m not in the office by giving me a flexible connection without being tied to a specific location. It also makes it easy to create secure tunnels, allowing transparent and secure sharing of network resources over the internet.

 ### 9. Simple Setup and Best-in-Class Privacy Protection

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Plinio F. | Business Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

I like that the initial setup was very simple, especially on my phone. It also integrates seamlessly with desktop applications and browser extensions, providing robust protection against trackers and ads while ensuring privacy as I browse. I love that it offers the best privacy compared with its competitors, which often include a lot of advertising.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

I like VPN solutions if offers, especially how it lets me access blocked sites. I appreciate the and blocking and anonymous browsing.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use OpenVPN to browse the internet without ads, and it gives me more privacy by letting me access certain websites that are blocked in my region. I also find it very secure, whether I’m just browsing online or streaming videos.

 ### 10. Secure, User-Friendly Remote Access That Just Works

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filipe C. | Digital Marketing & E-commerce Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

What I appreciate most about OpenVPN Access Server is the strong security it offers, all while remaining user-friendly. It enables secure remote access to internal systems from any location, maintaining a stable and dependable connection. The setup process is simple for users, and after connecting, it operates quietly in the background without interfering with daily tasks.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

ometimes the connection can be a bit slow, and if the VPN disconnects unexpectedly, it can interrupt work and require reconnecting. While it doesn’t happen often, it can be inconvenient when it does.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenVPN Access Server solves the problem of secure remote access to internal systems and sensitive data. It allows our team to safely connect to private services from different locations, protecting systems from unauthorized access. This benefits us by improving security, enabling remote work, and ensuring that only authorized users can access critical platforms without exposing them to the public internet.

**Official Response from Adam Bullock:**

> Appreciate the review, Filipe - glad its is working well for you. In terms of a slow connection, make sure whoever is in charge of your VPN server has DCO enabled. It increases speeds pretty drastically if not enabled.

 ### 11. Easy to Set Up, Secure, and Great Value for Accessing More Sites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamal L. | Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

Our experience with OpenVPN has been very positive compared to other alternatives. I like that it allows me to access websites that otherwise wouldn't work properly. It also allows you to easily configure multiple connection profiles.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

It offers excellent service, especially considering the price. I have nothing bad to say, nor any drawbacks or problems. Its setup is quite simple for most users. It's very secure and can be used in most environments.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with proprietary data means we need the strongest possible security when accessing our network. OpenVPN lets us do that, so we don’t have to worry about network security when we’re out of the office. It has also helped us protect our internal FedRAMP environment without the hassle or cost of a full enterprise solution.

 ### 12. Straightforward Setup, Strong Zero-Trust Security Controls

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have my own cloud server, so I was looking for an enterprise VPN that would allow me to deploy a VPN gateway directly on it, and OpenVPN met all my requirements. It automated process handless everything and completes the server deployment in just a few clicks.

 ### 13. OpenVPN is an excellent choice

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel C. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

We migrated VPN solutions around 6 years ago and identified OpenVPN as the ideal solution for us. It ticked a lot of boxes for us, particularly with regards to 2FA and a zero trust approach to user's access with profiles. Pricing is very competitive too. Customer support is very good too, I recently had to contact them about an issue following a Ubuntu upgrade and received helpful and prompt responses

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

Some management tasks are command line only and can be tricky to locate initially but there are plenty of support resources available. As mentioned, their customer support is excellent, very responsive and concise

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenVPN provides my business with a secure VPN that is easy for staff to use

**Official Response from Adam Bullock:**

> Thanks for the review, Daniel, and for mentioning the zero trust approach. There is power in using the features of Access Server to enforce zero trust access, glad you are using it in that manner. For more details: https://openvpn.net/solutions/use-cases/enforcing-zero-trust/

It helps keep our system secure and threat-free, and it provides secure remote access so I can work from anywhere. New devs, QA, or vendor teams can simply be given a VPN account or an SSO group assignment; when they leave, removing that access in one place immediately cuts their access everywhere.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharin S. | Team Lead - Azure and Windows server, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

We deployed an OpenVPN on an Ubuntu VM. The installation is straightforward, and no need to mess with the complex firewall rules. We use Microsoft Azure Entra ID, so integrating SAML for single sign-on was a big win. Our team was a mix of Windows laptops and Mac OS machines. The OpenVPN client works seamlessly across all platforms. I was able to assign specific access rules to different users, which helped us maintain regulatory compliance and reduce unnecessary exposure.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

While logs are available, I wish there were more built-in analytics, like bandwidth usage per user and connection history dashboards. Setting up split tunneling and custom routes is not an easy task. It's scalable, but we need to work plan for adding more than 50 users.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have contractors working from different locations, we created a user profile for him and gave him access to Development environment, and sent him the connection link. Within 10 mins, they are securely connected and working without any issues.

**Official Response from Adam Bullock:**

> Thanks for this review and for outlining the case use we solve for you! I hear you on more built-in analytics, I'll pass it along to the team. Appreciate you being a customer! Dropping a link on with a tutorial on how to configure SAML with Entra ID below.

I also found the initial setup to be easy after understanding the architecture of OpenVPN.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

Missing language translation for the Web UI interface and the client.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I replaced the Fortinet client with OpenVPN.

 ### 26. Super Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** arun v. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

I use OpenVPN Access Server to connect to servers provisioned in AWS. I find the user management and custom scripts to be great features. We developed a script that uses the user's MAC ID to let them log in only using the device with that MAC ID. The initial setup of OpenVPN Access Server was super easy for me.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

nothing much

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use OpenVPN Access Server to keep all my production resources private and connect to them securely without worrying about attacks in a public subnet.

 ### 27. Effortless Server Setup That Simplifies Our Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

The server is very simple to set up and get working with a few clicks. This made it really easy for us as a business. The support was top notch; receiving daily updates of how to do certain things and then an optional meeting to go through any questions I had where they explained a lot of the key services and points of information.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

I can't think of anything I dislike about the server.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The OpenVPN solution was beneficial to us in two important ways. During our building transition, it was essential for our employees to have reliable access to our network, and OpenVPN made this possible. Furthermore, as we were testing a business application hosted in the cloud, the VPN provided us with the secure access we needed.

 ### 28. Reliable VPN with Strong Authentication and Seamless Cross-Platform Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aude L. | IT Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

OpenVPN Access Server is a highly reliable solution. I especially appreciate its strong authentication features, which integrate easily with AD, LDAP, or RADIUS. Its comprehensive cross-platform compatibility also ensures that all users experience stable and consistent connections.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

Setting up advanced features like NAT, ACLs, or routing is not straightforward and demands a strong understanding of networking concepts. Additionally, gathering and logging comprehensive information about active sessions can be quite challenging unless you use external tools or custom scripts.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is the ideal solution for environments where uncompromising security and smooth integration are essential. Its implementation plays a vital role in minimizing the risk of breaches and guarantees there is no vendor lock-in. Additionally, it delivers highly efficient performance, significantly boosting productivity by operating at speeds that are almost equivalent to those of the local network.

**Official Response from Adam Bullock:**

> Appreciate the review, Aude. Thanks for trusting OpenVPN. I'll send over your feedback on advanced features to the team here, and we have been improving on onboarding experience to help guide new customers through setup.

 ### 29. OpenVPN a True Partner for Remote Workers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashish A. | Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2022

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

I work remotely for a US company, and I have to access the US servers, which requires my location to be in the US. Many of the other VPNs provide remote access; however, they are very slow. Over the past couple of years, OpenVPN has improved its speed and provides the best speed I have seen. The UI design is very minimalistic and user-friendly. The best part is that it is beginner-friendly as well.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

It will be best if it can be integrated into cloud platforms like AWS, Databricks, as well. This will be more useful, and we can access it directly in the cloud tools.

**Recommendations to others considering OpenVPN Access Server:**

If any company uses confidential data and works remotely on a highly secure server, then OpenVPN is for you. It is affordable, secure, and highly reliable, so go for it.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a new employee and work remotely at this time. Our company handles the data from different nations and collects it on a remote server, and as the data is confidential, we need to use the VPN to access those data. Our company uses OpenVPN for this purpose. Without using OpenVPN, it is impossible to access the data and work remotely.

**Official Response from Adam Bullock:**

> Thanks for this! We offer integration with many virtual private cloud platforms - including AWS. We know this is something our customers want, and continue to roll out new integrations every quarter.

 ### 30. Secure, Scalable VPN with Easy Setup and Management

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

Yeah, Can you please make improve the ui mobile device it too old

OpenVPN Access Server provides secure remote access to confidential data, allowing on-premise data access from anywhere. It adds extra security with two-factor authentication, preventing unauthorized access.

 ### 31. Great VPN solution to grant access to business network

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph M. | Network Administrator & IT Security Officer, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

I like the fact that OpenVPN Access Server supports MFA and SAML for client login. We had used the built in MFA previously using Google Authenticator, and now client login via SAML and we MFA on the SSO side.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

We have used OpenVPN for years now and like it quite a bit. Managing a cluster of VPN servers could use some iteration and improvements but it pretty solid all things considered.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We went with OpenVPN Access Server because we didn't want to use a VPN solution that was directly tied to our campus firewall. It was a relatively cheap VPN solution to implement in our environment. We primarily use it for remote access to on-premises servers. The number of on-premises servers has been decreasing over the years as more things went cloud, but we still needed a reasonably priced and secure solution for granting access to those servers.

**Official Response from Adam Bullock:**

> Thanks for the review, Joseph, appreciate it! Happy to hear Access Server works with your use case, especially with SAML (linking to documentation below for anyone curious).

 ### 32. Straightforward Web Interface That Works Perfectly on the First Try

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Masa V. | Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

I really like the web interface because it makes managing users and certificates very straightforward. On top of that, it connects successfully on the first try and works perfectly on any computer.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

Visually, the interface feels a bit dated. It’s functional, but it could really use an update to a more modern design. That’s all.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You don’t have to be a networking genius to use it. It’s a solid product that works well, gives me a lot of peace of mind, and stays super stable. For me, it’s really worth the price.

 ### 33. Effortless Setup Makes Deployment a Breeze

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about OpenVPN Access Server?**

Ease of setup for the end user. We had to deploy about 20 OpenServer Appliances in about 2 months. Getting the end users setup and working was a breeze

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

Not having Port Groups setup for server access. If I need someone to have access to one server and just RDP (for example), i need to create 2 rules (1 for TCP and 1 for UDP). It would be nice to be able to bundle TCP/UDP ports together.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The big business problem that they helped us solve was the fact that we had our clients on Sonicwall SMA for the past 10 years or so and we were able to switch all of them over in about 2 months.

**Official Response from Adam Bullock:**

> Thanks for the review, and appreciate you being a customer! Love to hear how easy it is to setup for the end user, and I hope your experience with Access Server has made the migration from Sonicwall SMA worth it :)

Your specific feedback is appreciated when it comes to setting up rules and being able to bundle TCP/UDP ports together, I will pass that along to the team. Thank you!

I wish there was some more cleanup features and reporting in the web UI. Clean out old profiles/users based on connection dates and so on.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use OpenVPN Access Server for secure access to our k8s cluster in Azure.

 ### 35. Enables Anywhere Access Despite IP Restrictions.

> Thank you for the review, and appreciate you being a customer! Access Server 3.1 introduced Domain Routing which allows access policy updates that use domain names and hostnames instead of IP addresses (and in addition to!).

Remote access for third parties. An economical way to keep it separate from remote access for corporate users.

**Reviewed by:** Daniel B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I like the SAML integration with M365 on OpenVPN Access Server because it is helpful for our needs in the corporate network and for home office access.

**What do you dislike about OpenVPN Access Server?**

It could be better hardened so that brute force attacks with invalid usernames are better blocked.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem that someone working from home does not have access to company resources.

I really appreciate the fact that it can be integrated with GSuite SSO. That is the primary reason we chose this solution.

It does not natively support IPv6. Our environment is 100% IPv6, so we had to do some extra tweaking to get IPv6 working correctly. It would be nice to have IPv6 more natively supported.

**What problems is OpenVPN Access Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, we needed a way for Employee's to remotely connect to our Corporate network and they have to be authenticated via GSuite. Your solution makes that easy, and straight forward.
