OpenText Vertica is flexible to do multiple tasks at a time and handles heavy loads of data processing with complex queries. Implementing and integrating OpenText Vertica is quite complex. It requires good level of knowledge to work on tasks. The vertica datawarehouse offers columnar store database structure capable of handling big data workloads

unlike other traditional databases.

This architecture coupled with other efficient parellel processing techniques

After their aquisition from Micro focus to Opentext, there has been few changes in layout in documentation

as well as layout of UI , which creates additional learning curve.

* Vertica is very fast. It works seemlessly with very large amount of data, it compresses the data very well.

* Vertica offers powerful built-in analytical tools for complexdata analysis. I have used this tool for marketing analysis.

* For those who are not familiar with terminal usage, for them it's GUI feels outdated.

* Vertica struggles with petabyte-scale data, facing scalability challenges.

On behalf of various data engineers I can say that opentext vertics is a solution for datawarehousing and running alaysis on huge datasets with productivity and speed.
