Open Solar is a very useful online application for the design, presentation, sale, and financial management of photovoltaic energy (solar energy systems with panels). It allows, with a sequence of processes, to achieve from the creation of the lead of the potential buyer, the design of a photovoltaic energy system (solar panels), with the arrangements and regulations of cities and counties of each country where it is used and the equipment that the installing company or photovoltaic energy dealer possesses. It is a user-friendly program, which, besides being sequential, is highly interactive: it is very easy to use, I handle it in English (I learned the basic elements in a five-hour course and receive usage updates from time to time from the sales manager). It is easy to implement, compared to Aurora and SOLO (the software par excellence with which we started in the photovoltaic energy market). Customer support is permanent, receiving updates and information via email, receiving indications of technical aspects to consider. Frequently used to make designs for potential clients, the program has several functions ranging from client identification, geospatial location of the property, the design of the solar system with panels, structure, inverters, detailing the size of the system (this is the most complete part), then price, financing, presentation, and client qualification, and generation of warranty and sales contracts (when financiers are associated within the application). Perhaps what catches my attention the least is that the design of the panel system does not automatically have the custom or specialist design (which is always contrasted later by the company's engineering department). The other aspect I don't like is that it gives the financial options directly (usually three options), although that can later be modified upon request in the pricing or financing system itself.
