The AI search function is a god-send. The bulk uploading process was seamless through their team who made it easy. The templates are very easily usable and streamlines a lot of our workflows. The software has been very customizable to our needs and not necessarily a one-size-fits all method (which is good) - has been very easy to integrate with Unanet. **What do you dislike about OpenAsset?** The tagging of metadata is very time consuming, so much that sometimes our team doesn't have the capacity to take it on. I use OpenAsset frequently for most of my projects. It is easy to search for and find photos. It is easy to see a photo's access level and if it has restricted use. It is easy to see the copyright holder and to add appropriate crediting as required. The InDesign plugin makes it so easy to drag and drop photos into proposal/marketing material templates – without having to download or save the files elsewhere. It helps me have access to photos/files that are outside of the teams I work directly with. **What do you dislike about OpenAsset?** I do find that for files that are not images – sometimes they fail to download if they are not set up properly when uploaded. **What problems is OpenAsset solving and how is that benefiting you?** The big issues that OpenAsset solves is the problem of photos being on multiple drives with different access to users and the issue of appropriately crediting photos to photographers or copyright holders. Until about four months ago, I did so without a DAM tool. I was always so jealous of my peers at other firms who had OpenAsset, and when we decided to solicit DAM providers, I knew I wanted to be involved. Throughout the selection process, OpenAsset made their understanding of our unique industry very clear. They answered questions so well and gave us relevant examples. Additionally, they provided a number of references for similar firms that we were able to speak with. The implementation team was great, and made the process as easy as it could be. While there was a lot of work on our end, they made navigating the process feel achievable and kept us on track. They were, and continue to be, very accessible and ready to find solutions. Now that our implementation is complete, OpenAsset's customer support continues to be great. They are truly passionate about their product and continuing to make it better. While it's a great product, it's really the people behind it that make it sing. I use OpenAsset almost constantly now, and my efficiency is so much better. I'm not struggling to find photos, and it's so customizable for each user with albums, rankings, and more. It's also made sharing images with other stakeholders so much easier. **What do you dislike about OpenAsset?** I wish OpenAsset had more AI capabilities, but I know they're working on that. Also, it would be nice to have a bit more of a true solution for video that isn't as costly, as we continue to have more video assets. **What problems is OpenAsset solving and how is that benefiting you?** OA catalogs all of our photography that we use throughout our company. Usage rights are much more clear, and it's SO much easier to find photos. It's also much easier to ensure certain photos are only being used where they're approved to be used. ### 22. The rating system ensures that marketing collateral and presentations company wide feature only our best images. OpenAsset has not only made us more efficient. It has given us better control of our brand. OpenAsset has also recently launched AI facial recognition. It has been an absolute game changer for how easily we can access photos of specific employees. You don't even have to think about it. each employee is automatically tagged as soon as you upload thier image. It's like magic. Another recent launch is portals. Portals allow our employees to share certain assets externally. This is great for sharing images with clients or news outlets for PR peices. These two innovations prove that the developement team at OpenAsset listens to the client and is willing to put in the work to meet thier needs and make the platform a sharper tool for all to use. **What do you dislike about OpenAsset?** Many of my usual compaints have recently been stamped out by the product developement team. They are absolutely killing it at OpenAsset right now. Recent innovations have been knocking it out of the park and making my life so much easier. I had a call with the customer support team at OpenAsset just the other day to address a few minor concerns with the new items they've launched. I'm happy to say that I feel listened to and am confident that thier product development team will resolve those issues in the future. **What problems is OpenAsset solving and how is that benefiting you?** The rating system within OpenAsset helps our employees identify the best marketing images for use in presentations and marketing collateral. Some of the back and forth in the searching makes picking individual images from projects tedious.
