## Opal Reviews
 ### 1. Enhances Collaboration, Needs Streamlined Board Connections

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul P. | Board Chair, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I really appreciate Opal's great interface and how it provides visibility for the work all of our teams do, which helps to eliminate silos. Customization has been great and the reporting offerings, such as PPT presentations, are impressive. Opal has helped us bring more visibility to all the good work each of our teams are doing, and to see the impact our work streams have on various campaigns. It also enhances collaboration between teams.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I don't like the limitations on note length in boards. It's not the most straightforward process to connect boards to plans and larger campaigns; folks can get stuck on creating a board and then ask - what's next? The initial setup is still ongoing and has been challenging in terms of adoption.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps with organization, visibility across functions, and tracking. It brings more visibility to our teams' work, showing the impact of work streams on campaigns and improving collaboration.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> We appreciate you calling out the ways Opal is helping your teams improve visibility, organization, and cross-functional collaboration. It’s especially encouraging to hear that it's helping show the impact of work across campaigns. Your feedback on board note limits, connecting boards to larger plans, and the challenges of initial adoption is valuable as we keep working to make those workflows clearer and easier.

 ### 2. Structured Planning with Constraints

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** W.-Tamara P. | Werkstudent, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I really like Opal's calendar because it has a simple structure that allows me to quickly switch between week, day, and month. It's also great that I can see what content my colleagues have planned for the day, which makes collaboration easier. The quick uploading of content is also a big plus, as it makes my work more efficient. The tool is also accessible and facilitates uniform use among my colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Unfortunately, we have a maximum of 10 posts per month, which is sometimes difficult because it means first come, first served. Not only that. It is also sometimes difficult to see whether the content has really been uploaded after review. Additionally, it must be said that although the review of the content is practical, it is rather counterproductive for posts that are time-sensitive.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal supports through fast communication and facilitates the unification of content. The simple calendar helps with planning on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Uploading content is quick and makes it more accessible and uniform for everyone.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Opal. We’re glad the calendar structure, quick content uploads, and visibility into colleagues’ plans are helping your team plan more efficiently and collaborate in a more consistent way.

 ### 3. Streamlines Social Media Management for SAP Concur

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I like Opal because it really makes everything streamlined and easy by putting it all in one place. It's super convenient to send something for approval and ensure it gets posted. I particularly enjoy how easy the approval process is, which eliminates all the bureaucracy and uncertainty about whether a post is actually on its way to being published. This cuts down the number of steps we have to take.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The one thing that I tend to find a little bit difficult in one way is maybe this is our use of the platform, but the boards versus the calendar view get sometimes confusing. We have different team members who only go off the calendar view, and different team members who only go off what's in the boards. So if there's any crossover between what hasn't been added to a board or what's on a board but doesn't have a date on it yet, we lose a little bit of visibility there. So, people get their wires crossed if they don't know what place they're supposed to be adding things. That would be one of the things that we sometimes encounter.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps us organize and streamline social media requests across different markets, making it easy to centralize posts and manage approvals efficiently.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> We’re glad the centralized workspace and approval process are helping reduce extra steps, remove uncertainty, and make it easier to manage requests across markets. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and thank you for using Opal!

 ### 4. Streamlined Content Management with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent K. | Social Media Marketing Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I love how Opal makes it very easy to use, which speeds up the entire briefing and content creation process. It really helps us by keeping all content related to a campaign together in one view, along with any necessary commentary, documentation, and approvals. The calendar view is also great for visualizing content and sharing it with external teams. The initial setup was very smooth, which I appreciated. I also have to mention that the people at Opal are fantastic collaborators, they're with us every step of the way, ensuring we have what we need, and that makes a big difference.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Tagging capabilities are slightly better than the industry standard, but could use some work when it comes to being able to differentiate between different content types and giving the end user more access so we can make changes without relying on individuals on Opal's backend. The tool also crashes every so often, which is annoying but just requires a page refresh.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps us organize and view all campaign content in one place with commentary and approvals. It's easy to use, speeding up the content creation process and allowing us to visualize content for external teams.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review and for recognizing both the ease of using Opal and the support from our team along the way. We’re glad it’s helping speed up briefing and content creation by keeping campaign content, commentary, documentation, approvals, and calendar views organized in one place. Your feedback on expanding tagging flexibility, giving end users more control, and improving stability is very helpful as we continue refining the platform.

 ### 5. Lots of capabilities, a few hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

My team/department has been relying on the calendar for our editorial meetings, and it's been useful. I also get tasks assigned to me in Opal, so that's useful as a notification.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I haven't noticed any other issues in my time using Opal, although granted I've mostly been using it for the calendars/notifications, not for actually completing my work within Opal.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal was pitched to me and my team as "an improvement over Microsoft Word," and I could see that being the case if/when tracked changes is added. A main pain point with Microsoft Word is version control, which is something Opal claims to solve (I haven't seen this in action yet). It's nice to have project-management capabilities AND brainstorming/strategy capabiliteis AND reviewing/presenting/content creation capabilities all in one place.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Thank you for writing such a detailed review. We appreciate your feedback about the visual complexity of certain features like Timelines and your initial onboarding experience .Providing a platform that offers a unique blend of project management, brainstorming, strategy, and content creation capabilities is a core focus for us, and we're delighted that you're recognizing these aspects.

 ### 6. Opal provides an effective way to move projects along

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I can't say there's anything new I can report on that I like.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I'd like to double down on this feedback. The historical lookback functionality, or lack thereof, has made retrieving old briefs to use as building blocks for new ones, or just being able to find final assets of a long-ago brief is tough. The search bar yields myriad items attached to the keyword punched in, but it feels more sprawling than direct/helpful.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything being in one place really helps, as my team was multiple plates spinning across multiple workstreams, so it's good to know that Opal can be that one space where the briefs, work, and final products can live.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Great to hear that Opal managed to improve your content intake process. Several customers have found success using the platform for that. In addition, we’re glad to know that it is serving your organization as a source of truth for your marketing. Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and thank you for continuing to use Opal!

 ### 7. Centralized Collaboration and Clear Team Transparency

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I like that you can have everything centralized in one place, so it’s easier to work together with everyone. It also adds transparency, since you can see what everyone is doing.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

So far, I like everything, so there’s really nothing to dislike.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal completely fixed our messy spreadsheet planning by putting all campaigns into one visual calendar.
Instead of wasting hours building PowerPoint decks for executive reviews, we can now turn live marketing plans into presentation-ready slides with a single click.
It keeps our remote teams perfectly aligned, which has cut out a ton of communication busywork and last-minute fire drills.
Plus, it connects directly to our publishing tools like Sprinklr, making campaign handoffs seamless and error-free.
It has been a huge time-saver for our entire marketing operations team.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> It’s great to hear that moving from messy spreadsheets to a visual calendar, generating executive-ready slides, aligning remote teams, and connecting with publishing tools like Sprinklr have all saved your marketing operations team meaningful time. We especially appreciate hearing that there’s nothing you dislike so far, and we’ll keep working to make that experience even stronger.

 ### 8. Streamlined Asset Management with Minor Navigation Hiccups

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bailee J. | Employee Communications Senior Specialist , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I like most the ability to share content with our agency partners as well. We can process reviews, different versions, edits, and feedback all within one platform. This keeps us from having to keep track of multiple streams of communication across multiple channels.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Sometimes it's a bit hard to sort through different elements, which could just be an internal issue on our end with how we're storing things. Different versions of the same file can be a bit tricky sometimes.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal eliminates the hassle of searching through emails for assets by storing approved content globally, ensuring easy access and use. It also streamlines collaboration with agency partners, enabling reviews and feedback within one platform, reducing communication across multiple channels.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing how Opal helps your team collaborate with agency partners and keep reviews, versions, edits, and feedback together in one place! Your feedback on sorting through elements and managing different file versions is helpful as we continue improving the platform.

 ### 9. Great for Storyboards and Team Briefs, Though I’m Still Learning Opal

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carla Margo N. | Brand and content specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

i think i am underutilizing opal so not sure what I dislike.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it saves me time as i can filter and find the assets i am looking for thanks to the tagging

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience as you continue learning Opal. We’re glad it's already helping you find what you need and save time.

 ### 10. Streamlined Asset Management with Room for UI Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I like that with Opal, you can see everything in one place, which I find beneficial because it allows me to view everything outlined clearly within a singular Opal moment. It’s really helpful to see at a glance where everything’s going to be running, making it easier to compare different creative assets and how they vary across platforms.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I don't care for the fact that you have to click within a post that's outlined in order to copy and pull details. I do wish there was a more condensed view so that more can fit on the screen without having to scroll to see details across different posts. I also think it would be helpful to see the full title of an asset at the top without having it cut off. I would like it if Opal was more customizable and allowed different labels to be easily applied to different posts.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps us keep our creative assets organized and easily see what's requested from clients. It's beneficial to view everything at a glance and compare creative assets across platforms.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> It’s great to hear that Opal helps you keep creative assets organized, view everything in one place, and compare how work will run across platforms. Your notes on making post details easier to access, improving condensed views, showing full asset titles, and adding more customization are all very helpful as we continue refining the experience.

I use Opal for social planning and presenting concepts, solving placement and scheduling issues for campaigns and improving team communication.

I appreciate Opal's wonderful calendar view, which is not available in other social media management tools, making it incredibly useful for organizing content. **What do you dislike about Opal?**

There are issues with changes not saving and graphical assets not loading. The website is also down sometimes during business hours. However, the support team does resolve these issues in a timely manner once you flag them.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overseeing campaigns and viewing content calendars. Helps to manage changes.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Sorry to hear that you are experiencing glitches while using the platform. Please consider reaching out to support@workwithopal.com so we can look into these issues. ### 26. Keeps team on the same page, some functionality issues

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

It helps keep teams on the same page with daily marketing calendar, aligning our content across platforms. It's easy and simple to use.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The calendar view can be quite buggy after adding a new moment. For example, if I add a moment, and try to add additional properties, it will often clear them out after adding them, causing me to add them again. This is a headache when I'm trying to add details for moments within the boards view.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps align across channels on marketing, and tie together other areas of our content.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Creating alignment through the Opal calendar is one of the most important benefits Opal delivers. Glad to see you’re experiencing that. I see you mentioned some platform bugs – please reach out to our support team if that happens again! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.

 ### 27. Great service, with some minor UI changes needed

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

The calendar is one of the things we get the most ouf ot as an enterprise. Being able to see when things are going out and space them has been very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Sometimes it's a lot. There are a lot of boards. I would like to favorite my most-used boards or have them always pop up first in my shared boards. There are also a lot of steps to add a simple text note to moment.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing what is happening on other teams and making sure campaigns aren't overlapping.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Seeing when content is going to market across an enterprise organization is one of the first challenges Opal was built to solve. Love that it delivers for you. On the topic of Boards, you are now able to favorite your most important Boards - check it out!

 ### 28. Works well

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Easy to use, straight forward platform. Team is quick to respond to issues and tell us about new features. I like the integrated AI tools but not always useful for what I need

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Small issues end up costing us more time to resolve.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us colloborate between several teams easily and plan our calendars with various markets

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Thank you so much for your review. I love hearing that you find the Opal team to be responsive and helpful in explaining new features. I’m glad you’ve tried the AI components of our platform, and please know that more AI features will continue to be rolled out over time. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for using Opal.

 ### 29. Modern and Innovative Way to Plan Communications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I absolutely love "moments" and the way you can view them (calendar view). It's also super helpful that we can tag other folks in the comments. It's especially helpful that we can assign folks to tasks as well. I haven't seen many other platforms that are this innovative and blend so well into my every day work. I really love "Stamps" as well, it's an efficient way to work quickly without repeating processes.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The name "Stories" is quite misleading coming form an internal comms perspective. When I hear the term "story" I think of an actual article, but "Stories" seem to be ongoing campaigns that go on for a certain amount of days. I didn't really understand what stories were and I still call them campaigns.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is causing myself and my team members to communicate better. An example of this would be interacting in the comments and giving updates on projects, along with assigning tasks to folks to make projects as clear as possible. This benefits me and keeps me accountable as well.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Great example of how the comments features make your projects more clear. Opal frequently helps teams step out of silos, so I’m glad to hear that was your experience as well. I’ll make sure to share with the team how naturally Opal has fit into your daily workflow.

 ### 30. Strong content planning tool that allows for collaboration + visualization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Ability to plan content in formats/layouts that are realistic to the platform; asset storage; built in workflows to streamline processes across teams; Variety of platform options; Visual tool at heart; Sections of collaboration that can happen otuside of the calendar (ex: Boards)

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Inability to publish directly to social platforms, despite all the planning capabilities; Minimal organization inside the Asset Library (sub-folders, etc); Desire to mock up all publishing executions to the fullest capacity, yet some elements have not yet caught up to all 'feature options'

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal is solving the problems around content calendar/planning + all reviews/approvals that go into that process before released to consumers - a cloud-based solution that makes it easy to keep projects moving, store all approved assets and reducing team time spent making other layouts + presentations of the work being done (thanks to the Presentations feature)

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> We appreciate hearing that Opal is solving your content planning and calendaring – as well as the workflow that goes along with it. Helping to organize a full schedule of content is one of the places our platform truly shines. Also, I’m glad to hear the presentations are saving you time as well. Have you looked into integrating Opal with your social publisher? We have integrations with the top social media publishers, like Hootsuite, Khoros, Dash Hudson, and more.

 ### 31. Marketing teams to share and manage creative assets

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Opal?**

It’s helpful for marketing teams to manage their workflows and collaborate by sharing creative assets efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Searching for a title or moment with the same name can be quite difficult.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to share creative assets across various marketing teams, but occasionally, it can be challenging to find or search for specific items.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> I am glad you are utilizing workflows to keep content on track! When it comes to searching for content in Opal, we suggest utilizing your labels to filter down to exactly what you need, or use our jump feature to get to the exact piece of content you need to reference. If you think there is an opportunity to improve your labels, please reach out to your customer success manager to work through potential updates.

 ### 32. Creative Campaign Trafficking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

- easy to use, intuitive interface
- uploading assets is quick and easy
- moments are great way to test and preview content

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I haven't figured how to add unscheduled moments to presentations, but that would be a great feature. Sometimes we use presentations as a way to group or batch campaign assets for review when multiple campaigns are running at a time.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps ensure creative trafficking is accurate by allowing us to preview creative before it goes into the platform(s).

 ### 33. Great for small teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kari M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

The various ways to project manage and campaign plan are awesome

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The licenses and seats required even for just content reviewers

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past they've solved creating labels and content type labels for organizing our content

 ### 34. Great for organization, collaboration and content visualization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsey G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Opal has been a great content visualization and organization tool for our team. It helps us to stay on track, saves us time having meetings and enables an overall easier process for content reviews and approvals. The app is also handy in being able to quickly comment back and forth as well as grab assets and copy on the go to publish content. Our team loves being able to visualize the different types of content exactly as how they would look on the platform. The content library is nice to have and pull from as well. We have newly started using Boards more often, which enables greater collaboration in a variety of ways, including sharing our weekly priorities, having our own private To Do boards, project focused boards, and boards for specific purposes, such as to share new articles and trends, parking lot ideas, inspiration, and brainstorming and planning. Overall I would recommend it, especially to remote teams like us for more efficient collaboration. Lastly, I have to mention that the Opal support team is excellent! I honestly have not encountered such high touch, caring account support teams that deal with any issues encountered right away with unlimited calls and emails to ensure we're using Opal to the best of our ability. Hats off to their team! We are very happy with service!

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Since Opal is a startup, it can be wonky with some bugs at times, such as deleted everythin you had written in Text Editor without saving or being down at times. However, contacting support is easy and they work quickly to resolve your issues as soon as possible.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal is benefitting us by allowing for greater collaboration remotely, saving us time with the content review and approval process. Opal also helps us easily visualize all of our content across platforms and have it all in one place to view. We love it!

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> We appreciate hearing that content visualization is paying off for you – that is one of the cornerstones of Opal. Thank you for the kind words for our support team – I passed this along to them already. Thank you for taking time out of your day to write a review of Opal!

 ### 35. Great for Social Media Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Briana V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I like they ability to create presentions over the content you're able to organize in the boards

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I dislike the bugs when coming out of boards.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving lots organizing and processing issues.

 ### 36. Opal is a powerful platform that works great for collaborating teams.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

It can be a challenge to visualize different elements across multiple marketing campaigns, but Opal makes it easy. I appreciate seeing the timing of different elements across the calendar and being able to drill down to specific assets.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Opal has powerful tools but it often feels like you must tailor your campaign around the platform, rather than the other way around. If you're running your marketing and campaigns a certain way, it can be tricky to set it up in a way that makes sense in Opal.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team had a problem organizing the different elements and timing of our marketing campaigns. We spent too much time just trying to stay in sync. Opal made it easier to view who is involved with what, when it's happening and how. It's made our meetings more efficient and the overall workflow more straightforward and direct.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Visualizing all of the different elements of a marketing campaign is challenging for sure. Glad to hear Opal has given you clarity and visibility here. Spending more time doing marketing and less time working to stay in-sync is one of the key benefits of using Opal. Thank you for writing a review and for being an Opal user!

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

 ### 38. Seamless way to keep posts across platforms organized

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah B. | Social Content, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I enjoy how realistic the posts look within the platform. Because they realistically mimic how the posts will look on-platform, it makes it easier to make edits. I'm also a big fan of how easy it is to collaborate with the rest of my team on the platform. I can just tag others for review and they'll be notified via email.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

There was a recurring glitch when creating threads for Twitter/X. My teammates were not able to delete posts so they would just show up as blank which was really annoying. This was eventually resolved but took some time and made writing threads a headache.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to keep an organized editorial calendar for our social presence across platforms. It makes it much easier to track our posting frequency, and makes collaboration across platforms seamless.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Opal's true-to-life content previews, easy collaboration features, and the ability to tag team members for review have been valuable for you. Providing an accurate representation of how posts will appear on-platform and promoting seamless collaboration within your team is essential. Did you reach out to our support team about the glitch you experienced?

 ### 39. Concept, Design and Showcase all in one place

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catrina G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

The best thing I enjoy about Opal is the ability to showcase websites and animated content all in one place and the team all being in one place, organized the way we need to be in sync with the business.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Initially I had high expectations for Opal and although it has gotten easier to navigate, my biggest concern was being able to learn the system and utilize it the way it was intented, which is still a work in progress.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem we solve now is being able to align in a more visual way before work on any given campaign begins. Its useful for our team to coordinate early on in the project in a way that aligns the greate business needs.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> We're delighted to hear that Opal's ability to showcase websites and animated content all in one place, while keeping your team organized and in sync, has been a highlight for you. We understand that learning and utilizing new systems can present challenges, and we appreciate your patience as you continue to get acclimated to Opal. ### 40. Gets the job done, but can be buggy

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Opal allows the various teams I work with (a brand team, my client team, and myself) to engage pretty seamlessly. I can be confident that all relevant team members have been able to review.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The biggest downside is how buggy it can be. There are times when it isn't possible to upload any content, which obviously has implications on timelines. Other times, certain channels (Snapchat more frequently) are unable to upload, or certain features aren't available for hours on end. This can set back schedules and timelines.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal allows several teams—none of whom share a central Sharepoint/Drive—to access and collaborate, ultimately allowing us to get assets posted and live. Without Opal, we would be bouncing between various platforms to get assets approved and posted.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Firstly, we apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced due to the occasional bugs in Opal. I have made a note of this for our product team. We're thrilled to hear that Opal has enabled seamless engagement and collaboration among various teams, including the brand team, your client team, and yourself. Ensuring that all relevant team members can review and contribute is a fundamental aspect of Opal's functionality, and we're glad to see it meeting your needs. Thank you for writing a review and for using Opal.

 ### 41. Opal is a great way to organize your social strategy.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

The calendar is very helpful in having a clear overview of your scheduled posts. In a company where there are many teams uploading content, it's nice to see everything across the company that is scheduled to release.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The help search and online resources to answer a question leaves much to be desired. Additionally, it can be difficult to remember some functionality (such as send to review) without frequent use.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal is a clear way to upload the content I create, receive approval on the work, and ensure it turns out exactly as planned. I love that it is a central hub for multiple teams and collaboration is so immediate.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Great to know that Opal's calendar feature has been a valuable asset for you, providing a clear overview of scheduled posts and content across various teams. Streamlining communication and collaboration is at the heart of our platform's purpose. ### 42. Love Opal!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gillian W. | Social Media Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I am able to see what other channels have planned for certain dates. It makes creating a unified brand story so much easier! Plus, I can brief and upload content in one place.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Sometimes Opal bugs out. If I move content around sometimes all of the moments will disappear (which often gives me a heart attack lol). I have to refresh my browser for everything to appear again.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal is allowing me to do my job almost all in one place. Rather that using 8 google docs to get one week of social content out, I can brief content, brief copy, and go through approvals all in Opal!

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Thank you for this stellar review, and thank you for being a customer! I will be sure to pass your feedback along to the team. Hearing that Opal is helping you collaborate better for managing and planning content is tremendous – that is such a crucial part of what Opal was built to do.

 ### 43. User Friendly Platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miriam M. | Director of Events & Marketing, Europe, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Very useful to see overall work and to find projects, and campaigns. It helps us to be organized and know what's coming and who is responsible.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I would love for it to be integrated with our email marketing platform and social media so we could pull performance reports from this platform and not manually input.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the marketing calendar we can glance what is happening within the organization and we can group projects which we find really helpful. The tagging helps us to provide reports internally and to our partners and keep everything organized.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> It’s great to know that Opal has provided a clear overview of work, projects, and campaigns, along with helping your team stay organized and informed. We're thrilled to hear that Opal's marketing calendar, project grouping, and tagging features are effectively addressing your needs. Opal integrates with a wide range of marketing platforms. Please reach out to your CSM to discuss integration possibilities to pull performance reports. Thank you for the review and for using Opal!

 ### 44. Communications and Social Media

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abbie B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

We use Opal to send social media calendars and assets to our customers. I love the feature what they are able to download anything straight from the link and the link automatically updates and you don't need to make a new one. This works great for us and is our most used feature.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Set up was really hard - it took almost 2 months to get everything set up and ready to use the site. The required labels were really confusing. I think the required items should be very minimal.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a way to send our social media calendars to customers (over 800 people). Opal allows us to send the link with all the assets and our customers and they are able to download right away to use on their sites. Helps us stream line our promos and brand.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> I’m sorry to hear that implementation felt difficult – I’ll certainly pass your feedback about required items to the Product team. It’s great that you’re using the platform to stay connected with your customers. Managing social media content is one of the key benefits of using Opal. Thank you for being a customer, and thank you for writing a review!

 ### 45. Great for organizing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Opal has been great for organizing social media campaigns and scheduling content posts. It's very easy to schedule posts as well and make sure there is a clear understanding of who owns what tasks.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The functionality could be a little more user friendly. There almost seems to be too much optionality. I would recommend simplifying some of the options on the content side or allow for a simple/advanced mode.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal is solving the problem of content consistency. It allows us to plan for posts in a timely fashion and ensure everything is submitted out on time. As a result, our social media channels have seen an increase in engagement.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> It’s great to hear that you’ve been able to boost engagement on your social media by scheduling in Opal! Keeping everyone organized and accountable is a crucial part of how Opal helps with workflow. Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and thank you for using Opal!

 ### 46. Very Adaptable!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I like that depending on the project or role, one can keep Opal simple, or take advantage of the dynamic functionality to make it work best. For as much as it does, its pretty intuitive and straight forward.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

That you can't upload .pdf files as creative. PDFs is what I work with 99% of the time. Having to create additional files in a .jpg or .png file just to upload to Opal so that the creative shows up feels cumbersome.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For what I do, none. Opal was introduced into our organization to help our Integrated Marketing team keep track our Marketing department's creative and projects.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> While Opal may not be solving immediate challenges for you personally, we're glad to know that it's fulfilling a role within your organization by helping your Integrated Marketing team track creative and projects. Streamlining project management and creative collaboration are key goals of Opal, and we're excited to be contributing to your team's efforts in this area. Thank you for writing a review!

 ### 47. Convenient content management system for large cross-functional teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I appreciate the ease of many users acessing the content at any given time, the way the content is displayed, and the no-frills layout. The drop-down menus are easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I dislike after uploading content when the page with all of the previous uploads shows up for you to confirm the asset you just uploaded, especially given that occassionally the same asset needs to be uploaded several times for different needs and platforms.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal has created a unified location for creative content creators and social media managers to work together to get the end content out the door with minimal file handoff concerns.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Providing a seamless and user-friendly experience is a priority for us, and we're thrilled that Opal is providing that for you. Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with Opal.

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Opal is great tool for reviewing social media content created by our design team, in particual for leadership. The calendar function is also a great way to plan our content.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

It is a shame that once approved you can not post to the social media platforms firectly from Opal. Requiring multiple tools for our social workflow is in efficient.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal is solving the review process for our leadership team. Allowing them to approve content without acually entering to tool and moving on is a great benifit to us. The calendar is also great for planning our content in a collaborative fashion.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Opal has proven to be a valuable tool for your team, particularly in the review of social media content and content planning. **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Opal?**

**What do you dislike about Opal?**
