I really appreciate Onward VIP Protection+ for its top-tier customer support; it's been a game-changer, especially when dealing with lost, stolen, or damaged orders. The ease of use stands out—I found it very easy to set up with their help, taking about a week to go live. Communication with the support team has been a breeze; they are responsive, accommodating, and always willing to help tackle tough issues. I also value their openness to work with us on added features and aesthetic changes, which makes our partnership seamless. Additionally, Onward's CashBack program has been very beneficial, boosting both our revenue and customer loyalty.

I'd love to see more data / analytics in the Onward dashboard so that we can improve our reporting. That said, Onward has been helpful with tracking down the additional metrics we need even though some items are not currently available in their dashboard.

**What do you like best about Onward Checkout+?**

Onward VIP Protection+ saves time for my business by addressing customer order issues like lost packages and defects that used to take us much longer. It's easily integrated into our online store, so the majority of our customers use it, and it helps us tackle fringe cases that used to consume hours each week. Their customer service is also great and very responsive, which is really valuable. The initial setup was very easy because a representative met with us to set it up.

Sometimes the solutions aren't what the customer wants, like only refunding the shipping cost. However, if we reach out to their support team, they'll help us make it right.

I like that Onward VIP Protection+ offers an MVP of a product like shipping protection with the option to elect into other programs such as order editing and the returns platform. This flexibility is appealing since it allows us to expand without having to make a large implementation leap right away.

I want as much autonomy over the design so that it matches our brand on the website and blends in as seamlessly as possible. And there are a few limitations still. There are light boxes that pop up right now, and we want them all to be uniform and look identical across the customer and user journey.

As someone leading a support team, I’ve found Onward to be a huge asset when it comes to handling customer claims—whether it's damage, loss, or theft. Their response time is consistently fast, both when assisting customers directly or when we, as the merchant, need to step in and handle something ourselves.

One thing I appreciate is how responsive and helpful their team is. Any time we’ve needed clarification or support, we’ve received quick, informed replies that helped us move forward without delay.

From the feedback I get from my team, one thing is clear: having Onward in place makes their jobs easier. Instead of handling every edge case ourselves, we can confidently guide customers through the claims process and trust that they’re in good hands. The Onward team is super-responsive to every claim, and always err on the side of helping the customer which we so appreciate. We chose them because we knew they would take care of our customers like we would, and they’ve totally delivered. With Onward’s carbon offset program included as part of the service, our customers can feel even better about their purchase with us. The seamless integration with our subscriptions provider has also been a big plus.

I wish we started with onward sooner! (that's by no fault of theirs) but it has SAVED our customer experience and our CS team LOVES how seamless it is.

Onward has been a massive win for our ops and customer experience teams. It eliminated the manual headache of handling lost, stolen, or damaged package claims and reduced WISMO inquiries almost overnight. Customers can resolve issues on their own in just a few clicks, and the extra peace of mind at checkout has positively impacted conversion. The backend is clean, easy to use, and integrates seamlessly with our Shopify stack. Bonus: their team is responsive and proactive, which makes ongoing optimization feel like a true partnership.

There’s really not much to dislike — if anything, we’d love even more customization around branding in the claims flow to keep the full experience feeling ultra on-brand. But honestly, that’s splitting hairs. The core functionality delivers exactly what we need.

We're committed to making every purchase worry-free. That's why we use Onwards Customer purchase protection. As a brand we wanted to provide an extra layer of security with every order. It's seamless to integrate and gives our customer the confidence to shop knowing that the purchase will be protected from the time of purchase to when it arrives to their door.  If something goes wrong, the customer is covered.  simple fast, and designed to give peace of mind from check out to delivery. An added bonus for the customer when using Onward is earning points that can be used on a future purchase. I would recommend adding this application to your check out experience.

Onward was one of many options we weighed when looking for order/shipping protection for our business. They just flat out offered the best most seamless integration and they haven't stopped helping us when needed since we went live with them. They are hands on when we need them to be, but mostly their product just works and works well-- I know it gives our customer peace of mind and it's a win-win all around!

There really are few if any shortcomings with this product, only hoping that they expand their line of features and work toward launching a full returns app that's competitive with some of the big apps in that space soon!

**What do you like best about Onward Checkout+?**

We've used onward for over a year for our subscription box brand. Overall, we are pleased with the platform. We've seen a very high attachment rate to new orders (~75%) which has led to a solid passive revenue stream. 

Onward was easy to setup, and we've had a generally smooth experience. When we've encountered issues, the customer support team has been responsive to resolve them. 

They've also added some new features that increase the value of the product for the customer beyond just shipping protection. This sets them apart from other shipping protection solutions.

We encountered occasional issues with prepaid subscription plans, but we were able to get this resolved. Occasionally, we experience customer confusion on what steps they should take to resolve their shipping issues.

The worst part of SaaS is usually the bait and switch, what you’re sold rarely matches the actual experience, and support disappears. Onward is the complete opposite. The product performs exactly as promised, and the support is best-in-class.

Unreal product, easy integration, exceptional team. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

From a CRO perspective, the cart is incredibly sensitive. Onward provides the highest converting element for a shipping checkout element that I have tested. It’s fully compliant. The 5% cash back baked in retention tool is a game changer.

The integration was incredibly easy and quick.

None that I can see. We extensively test conversion in the cart, and all tests with inward have been winners.

We’ve been using Onward VIP Protection+ for a few years now and it’s been a total win. Not only does it give our customers peace of mind with shipping insurance, but the cashback rewards and VIP support make the whole experience feel elevated. Our customer service tickets have gone down, repeat purchase rates are up, and we’re getting great feedback on the white-glove support. It integrates seamlessly with our Shopify store, we went through custom onboarding, and the team at Onward has been super responsive. The Shopify regulation that requires the insurance to be determined up front instead of at the cart level is frustrating to customers. There's no one size fits all solution for all brands, so we are required to run a lot of A/B tests to figure out what works best for our customer. This isn't entirely Onward's fault, but there should be more involvement on their part to help us find a better solution.

When we integrated with Onward, we expected an improvement from our previous provider for package protection - however, Onward more than delivered. We saw an attachment rate increase that was 2.6x higher and generating 3.4x more revenue per day. All with an exceptionally light lift. A huge win for us.

**What do you like best about Onward Checkout+?**

The Onward crew is always quick to handle every claim, and they totally go out of their way to make things right for the customer, which we love. We picked them because we knew they’d treat our customers the way we do, and they’ve absolutely come through. Their carbon offset program, baked right into the service, makes our customers feel even better about shopping with us. Plus, the smooth hookup with our subscriptions platform has been a huge win.

**What do you dislike about Onward Checkout+?**

No issues to report. Everything has worked smoothly.

**What problems is Onward Checkout+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onward VIP+ provides a quick and easy way to provide package insurance along with embedded carbon off-set for our customers.

Customers are protected guaranteed and we've increased our revenue with 3%

**What do you dislike about Onward Checkout+?**

Not much at the moment, it's amazing, we've seen a real jump on added revenue.

**What problems is Onward Checkout+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers are now fully protected against any issues that may arise like shipping issues or product issues, and they can easily get their money back. Besides this we've been able to increase our AOV with around 3%.

Customers like the added benefits of protecting their orders. Nice set up and clean look. Easy to integrate to our store. Customer support is awesome with Matt. Would definately recommend.

I would like to see the widgets, pop up and features to be in multiple languages

**What do you like best about Onward Checkout+?**

Since making the switch to Onward earlier this year, we haven't looked back even for a second. Onboarding was a breeze with Onward, as they handled 99% of set up. Onward offers standard carbon neutral shipping protection but they hooked us with free returns and a customer satisfaction guarantee, which has proved to come in handy time again. They recently added chargeback protection which saved our skin during the summer rush. The perks are seemingly endless! We use Onward daily and it's really made all the difference in our day to day.

**What do you dislike about Onward Checkout+?**

There really isn't anything we dislike about Onward! They seem to be intuitive to a business needs and offer a feature before we even know we need it ourselves. Their team is quick to respond as well if you need anything at all! Onward is also responsive to feedback so you can be sure if something isn't working for you, they'll find a solve.

**What problems is Onward Checkout+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onward is taking all the hassles of customer service and making it fast and easy to resolve a ticket. It doesn't matter if an order was lost, a return needs to be made, or a refund is needed, Onward has you covered. Our team uses Gorgias and with the Onward app, our team can handle all issues without having to leave the Gorgias platform. Onward is intuitive not only from a customer's standpoint but all a CX standpoint and really goes the extra distance to make sure both parties are satisfied with results!
