**What do you like best about Onspring?**

What I like best about Onspring is how easy it is to use—everything feels intuitive, organized, and efficient. The platform is always available when I need it, which makes managing processes and data seamless. It’s also incredibly robust, with the flexibility to handle complex workflows without feeling complicated. I especially appreciate the emailing function, which makes communication and notifications effortless. Combined with its automation, reporting, and collaboration capabilities, Onspring is a powerful yet user-friendly solution that just works. Everytime I have had to work with customer support they have always been very responsive and helpful as well.

**What do you dislike about Onspring?**

While there’s very little I dislike about Onspring, there are a few features I would love to see expanded or enhanced. These are not deal-breakers, but having additional functionality or more customization options in certain areas could make the platform even stronger. Overall, these are minor points, and they don’t take away from the ease of use, reliability, and robust capabilities that make Onspring such a valuable tool.

By providing a single platform for workflow automation, reporting, and communication, it reduces manual work, minimizes errors, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks. Onspring is a flexible, powerful GRC platform that allows deep customization without coding. The ability to automate workflows, track risks, and centralize evidence saves significant time. Dashboards and reporting features make it easy to visualize compliance health across the organization. Customer support is responsive and knowledgeable, and the system integrates smoothly with tools like ServiceNow and Slack for intake processes.

The platform’s flexibility can create a steep learning curve at first. Some modules require additional configuration to fully align with specific frameworks like HIPAA or SOC 2. Reporting customization takes time to master, and interface updates occasionally require retraining for end users.

Onspring has helped us centralize and automate our entire risk management process. I have not had any bad experiences with OnSpring so far. I think the biggest con is that because the possibilities are endless, there is a lot to learn.

Slow queues at the end of the month into the very beginning of the next month. Our system starts to slow down. However, I know they are currently addressing this

I like the wonderful staff at Onspring, that is very receptive to new ideas and are quick to add new enhancements.  Onspring's no-code solution is easy to use as a system administrator, and any process can be implemented very quickly.

Customer support was excellent.  Once the apps have been established and integration mapping has been set up appropriately it should be fine.

Learning hurdles as we did not have direct Onspring support for onboarding as we used a third party.  Direct Onspring support has been very helpful.

Claims management auditing and record keeping.

We didn’t have a well sorted third party risk mgmt program before. Onspring helped us create one.

Onboarding was difficult as we had to use a third party and unable to work directly with OnSpring. Since we have scaled we have had the ability to work directly with Onspring and have had a much better experience.

Formulas l and charts limitations. Gantt chart based on calendar year and not fiscal year

OnSpring has been a game-changer for us! The platform is super customizable, which means we can tweak everything to fit our unique needs without having to rely on IT. Their training options are fantastic—whether it’s the hands-on classes or the handy on-demand videos, we felt well-prepared to dive in. Plus, the customer support is top-notch; we have a dedicated rep who’s always there to help us out whenever we hit a snag. Overall, OnSpring makes managing governance, risk, and compliance feel way easier and more tailored to what we actually need. Highly recommend it!

There's nothing to dislike, but you will need a well-defined scope and to set your own limitations.

It really can automate a lot of manual processes and make GRC teams function more efficiently.  The implementation teams have been great to make Onspring work for our specific use cases.

It can be complex to maintain if you customize, but I expect that will get easier over time and with more use.

**What problems is Onspring solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is automating processes that used to be done manually.  By doing everything inside of Onspring, we can see where our teammates left off on projects while they are out of the office.

**What do you like best about Onspring?**

Onspring is easy to use and easy to adapt to your needs.  There are few limitations which allows us to shape the system in line to our savings methodoloigy and business requirements.  Our Procurement teams use Onspring frequently and in real time.  There is a good level of customer support with prompt responses and felxibility.  Implemetation of enhancements has been easy and the Onspring team tend to think outside of the box to meet your needs offering multiple solutions for business suggested improvements.

**What do you dislike about Onspring?**

There are a few bugs in recalculating forecasted and/or delivered savings when adusting  input dates.  It is important to us  to have these fixed for a smoother user experience.  It would also be highly benifical if Onspring could link to other systems such as Ariba as this is currently the biggest downside to Onspring.

**What problems is Onspring solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our primary use of Onspring is to capture our sourcing initiatives.  The outcome is good data which we use to showcase Global Procurements valure delivery to the business.

Love the way that applications can be connected and integrated.  Very easy to create new apps and reports.  Integrates well with Excel.

USA date formats.  Formulas defaulted to text and you needed to set the format to number.  But overall the product is well organised and does what I expect and better.

Transferring excel - based data to excel particular data with lots of text.  Users input data to Onspring rather than sending me files by email.  Much better.

I love that I don't have to have an IT degree to be a successful and effective system administrator. Once you're familiar with how Onspring works/flows, the Onspring world is your oyster! We're currently trying to come up with more processes that we can incorporate into our instance. We now are currently using this tool for contract management and GRC. Their customer support deserves a gold medal! They are quick and friendly. And they don't just solve the problem for me; they take the time to meet with me to explain all the details, which has literally helped me solve subsequent hurdles.

I don't have any complaints/difficulties that I can think of at the moment.

Be prepared to improve your business process as you move over into Onspring.

Gathering data and workpapers for our external auditors has been... less than perfect prior to Onspring. Just the other day, I was able to show them how they can create their own reports and extract workpapers without having to request & wait. Allowing them into our instance as read only users has greatly reduced the time it takes to deliver said workpapers.

- The timeout function needs to be tweaked.  It appears to let you continue your session, when it does not.  
- When delegating a survey to someone else, Onspring should dynamically update the email that goes to the delegate for you.  It will send the email addressed to the initially assigned person unless you adjust it.  Onspring allows you to adjust it, but it seems they should automatically update the name instead of keeping the original person's name.  Adjusting the email could be easy to miss; therefore, you send an email to the delegate addressed to yourself.

Onspring is making our risk much easier to define and report.  We previously had so many disparate processes and functions that it was difficult to report risk accurately.

**What do you like best about Onspring?**

We adopted Onspring as our GRC platform.  I thought Onspring was going to make our SOX and Internal Audit programs more efficient, I can honestly say I had no idea how much we would ultimately use this tool for.  We quickly learned our NERC (regulatory) program could benefit from Onspring and onboarded that application.  We now use Onspring for just about anything we once used an excel spreadsheet or email for: We use dynamic documents to maintain policies, procedures, process documents, and charters.  We create surveys for our annual risk assessment and disclosure committee and have dashboards to help us digest the information in a usable fashion.  We track corrective actions and human performance issues.  Supply Chain is using Onspring for 3rd Party vendor management and contracts.  We can even more efficiently track team meets, agenda items, and follow-up.  And each time we go to a conference, we come home with a list of new ideas.   While the out of the box functionality is great, we've been able to customize the application fields to match our corporate terminology.  We create a group and user-specific dashboards to ensure the correct information is being shared across the company in order to drive better business decisions.  The customizable triggers ensure that when information is available for users they are notified; when action needs to be taken or is overdue, there are automatic reminders.

**What do you dislike about Onspring?**

I'm disappointed I didn't take advantage of more of the out-of-the-box functionality before customizing the tool.  We're now considering some re-work as a result, but I will say the Onspring team has been incredibly supportive through that process.

**What problems is Onspring solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-Central repository for risks and controls - eliminating duplicates across the organization and allowing greater insight into dependencies across the organization
-Control Testing- document test plans, results, observations, and corrective actions, allowing for a historical perspective without digging through years of work papers.
-Regulatory Reporting-spreadsheets are hard to accumulate and are outdated almost as quickly as they are accumulated.  Onspring allows us to demonstrate regulatorily compliance in a very efficient manner because the information is literally at our fingertips.   
-Dashboards for executive leadership - again, with the information in spreadsheets all over the company, it was hard to give the leadership team a quick summary of the risks they should be concerned about.  Customizable dashbaords allow leaders to focus on high-priority items with real time information.

For new users, there can be some kind of learning involved but I think it's everywhere with everything and that should be manageable. Sometimes it may be overwhelming looking at the no. of attributes but with time I think one can get along with it.

I'd like to have seen a back-end view of the system (i.e. SQL), but this is a personal opinion as I have been used to working with systems using SQL, so I am not sure if SQL would be a good integration with Onspring. Onspring itself is still a good system.

OnSpring is easily adapted to whatever the user requires. Being able to create dashboards and reports is a game changer. I love the functionality that is available to users to create the dashboards, etc. that they require.

OnSpring allows great functionality but at times I wish there were more built-in modules, etc. In addition, I would say that the platform is not the best for financial service firms. I would like to see improvements there.

We use OnSpring to manage risk incidents and report risk incidents as they happen. The platform is great for risk tracking and for incident response management. I find it very helpful to be able to create dashboards and reports.
