What do you like best about OnCore CTMS?

What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?

The coverage analysis console. It is cumbersome to enter each procedures comments by clicking on the procedure and then having to click a button, enter the comment, click save and then either use the drop down list to scroll to the next procedure or you have to click close twice to back out to the main page. What do you like best about OnCore CTMS?

OnCore and Advarra's catalog of products provides a lot of functionality and tools to support clinical research: subject registration and tracking, financials, 21 CFR Part 11 compliant e-regulatory and electronic data capture solutions, and high-level reporting. There are also many resources available for training and technical support. The user community is amazing and is always willing to help answer questions or share solutions. What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?

The system can be a little clunky to maneuver around in if you are not a daily user or steeped in the ins and outs of OnCore. Custom reporting has become more challenging with changes to data reporting views that have come along with new integrations and systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering OnCore CTMS:

Look at and define current processes, be willing to adapt or change with the system but also take your time when implementing. There is a lot to learn and it is important to engage all stakeholders within your organization early in the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

"A good software to handle clinical research"

What do you like best about OnCore CTMS?

It is an excellent software for organizing clinical research. It helped us reduce duplicated data and control the budget/billing within the project. However, the best feature is the goal-driven dashboards that help visualize the information quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?

I believe it is not a problem with the software, but as a freelance researcher, I handle multiple projects, and just a fraction of them require clinical research software. I haven't tried a lot of clinical research management software, but I use project management software on a daily basis, and compare to those, this has a 4/5 stars Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OnCore CTMS?

The responsiveness and helpfulness of Advarra's OnCore Support Team.

What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?

Based on feedback from our organization's budget teams, post-award functionality can use some improvement to make payment reconciliation more efficient. Advarra has been sharing its plans to roll out such improvements in future versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

OnCore is heavily relied on for our cancer center reporting need, as it has many built-in reports and the flexibility to create customized reports. What do you like best about OnCore CTMS?

I liked that you can customize roles in the staff list, instead of just using preset defaults. The branching for task management, process tracking, and notifying the next signatory authority when it is time for them to completed their part is all very easy to navigate, saves a lot of effort in remembering to notify the next person to move things along. What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?

I do not like that you cannot hide fields that are not of use to a particular study or research team. I think that there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to the display logic and navigating through the pages could be made more consumer-intuitive. Although I don't know much about the purchasing side of the equation, I do know that from the perspective of someone who had to use the platform daily, my number one piece of advice is to really utilize any training, including supplemental training that your organization offers. It's a fairly dynamic platform, but in order to help it help you, you've got to know all of the capabilities and how to navigate them for your specific role. Although I no longer use OnCore in my current role, the organization I work for has continued to use it and expand its availability to other departments. It has helped streamline the process of protocol activation and also allows for excellent checks and balances between different stages of protocol activation, study submission, and client management.
