"Reliable and Secure Access Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Okta?

I like using Okta as the entry point to access all of our systems and for multifactor authentication. It helps solve security issues and alleviates the hassle of managing many different passwords, allowing us to use just one. The app allows us to log in on either a phone or computer, which is very convenient. Everything seems to work just fine, from the initial setup with Okta's assistance to several years later. We don't have very many issues at all, and when we do, support is pretty quick. It's almost set it and forget it. I appreciate having it integrated with all our platforms, which means when we add a user, they automatically get pushed to all platforms, making things streamlined. The Okta implementation team helped us make decisions and get everything set up in about a week, which was great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

Not much to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplified Authentication with Top-Notch Security"
5/5
What do you like best about Okta?

I appreciate Okta because it provides access to new types of authentication like Multi-factor Authentication, which is really helpful and easier to implement. It ensures only our engineers can log in to the system, even if somebody knows the username and password, by integrating measures like OTP on phone and fingerprints, giving us a 360-degree assurance of authentication. The setup was way easier than we thought, thanks to ample available help online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

Although I like Okta a lot, they can come up with design options as well and some testing utility of them as well, which can tell how much your data is secured and what is not working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient SSO with Challenging Setup"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Okta?

I appreciate Okta for its ease of use. It's much easier to sign in using a secure tool rather than having to create multiple sign-ons for each tool I use. I also like that Okta allows one sign-on for multiple platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

It's a bit annoying having to sign on like that every time. If it could keep you logged into trusted tools, that'd be great. Also, the initial setup was pretty difficult; it kept looping me in a sign-on pattern. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Identity Platform with Fast RBAC Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Okta?

As an identity platform, I find this tool well suited for most of the RBAC, IAM or PAM requirement, the UI is very intuitive and accessible.

Whenever we need some sectioned access we just hit some buttons and its done. Lot of integration options specially when I check messages on slack and its quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

I found having okta app compulsory is a major friction in going ahead with this product like BYOD. Some unexpected policy requires complex troubleshooting. Also about the steep pricing per the ROI part is little concerning Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Logins Across Apps with Fast Phone Auto-Prompt"
5/5
What do you like best about Okta?

It has helped unify the login experience across multiple sites/applications. I can add new sites as they become relevant. The auto-prompt via phone app helps speed up login. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

If you change your password you should make every effort to remember it because it will impact logging into every other app. I wouldn't say this is an actual downside though, because it's easy enough to just reset your password. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is simple to use and allows easy access once you are behind the wall for Okta. It goes to every system that we have tried to integrate it to and performs as you would expect from an identity provider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are a number of other identity provider that makes it easier to log in like Salesforce authenticator but Okta has been generally a good provider and one that has been easy to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure and Intuitive, But Can Be Slow"
4/5
What do you like best about Okta?

I like that Okta is super intuitive and easy to set up, so you don't need a degree to test it out. It integrates with a ton of popular software, making it very flexible. It's also really helpful for tracking when people log in and do their work, plus it makes giving access to licenses like Salesforce a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

Okta is incredibly slow, and it asks you for a login pretty much all the time. Even after you've logged in, it sometimes asks you to log in again, which can be a little bit frustrating for people who use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scalable Identity Solution for Growing Organizations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Okta?

Okta provides centralized identity and access management, making it easy to securely handle user authentication across multiple applications from a single platform.

The Single Sign-On (SSO) experience feels seamless, letting users access all their apps with one login, which improves both security and convenience. I also appreciate the strong multi-factor authentication (MFA) options, which add an extra layer of protection without making things overly complicated for end users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Okta?

One of the main challenges with Okta is that the initial setup and configuration can be quite complex, particularly when you’re working with advanced policies, integrations, or custom workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
