I keep Office Otter open on one of my screens constantly so my to-do list is always in front of me. Gone are my days of handwritten lists that I would lose. I get dozens and dozens of slack a day. Every slack is an ask from someone, a to-do list item. Being able to take slacks and send them over to my list in Office Otter is literally a life saver! For my work and my sanity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I enjoy using OfficeOtter as a listmaker and organizational tool for work. It has been a great way for me to make checklist items and know when to follow up with tasks. I love that you can hyperlink websites, label tasks and sync items to your calendar. It's also very helpful to provide data reports to managers when showing how much you have worked on the last several weeks or months. It's also handy that you can set due dates and recurring items. Office Otter requires zero setup - it's so easy to just create an account and get started. A cool feature is how Office Otter automatically prioritizes your tasks when you set a due date. And the little bloop sound when a task is completed is the soundtrack to my day that I never knew I needed. The interface is pretty basic - I wish elements were separated a bit more by color or design. The tasks are all sortable, but it might be nice to have options to create different layouts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Probably my favorite feature is that you can send a text message with a task and a hashtag with a time frame for when it's due and it automatically adds all of this to your Office Otter to-do list. That means that even when I don't have enough cell signal for data that would be required by an app or an online service, I can still get a text message through so I can add to my to-do list and get back to whatever I was doing at that moment. You can also email or Slack a task to Office Otter if that's your preferred method, in addition to typing it in on their website.

The whole system is quite streamlined and they seem to be doing a good job of getting better at what they mean to be: a task list. They are expanding options to streamline the process and make things more efficient and user-friendly without cluttering things up with features the users don't need yet one more app to do. I also have appreciated how they are listening to their users -- I've seen suggestions from me and others become full features in a relatively short amount of time. This is still a young service so things are changing periodically -- which means you need to keep up with the changes to be sure you're using the software to its full potential. But that's actually a good thing in the long run because the service keeps improving. It's just a matter of learning the system initially and then re-learning parts of it from time to time. I love that I can tag specific tasks to a group or person. Also love the checklist feature. The fact that I can text a task to my account from my cell is priceless as I am not always near my laptop to add one when it comes to mind! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love having my to-do list in one place. I don't have to look through my notebook to find different tasks. And being able to put labels on my tasks so that I can sort them accordingly is very helpful. The Office Otter team is so responsive if there is ever a question or issue.
