I find the dashboard is very clear and adding products is very easy. Furthermore, we find it very good that it is easy to fully integrate product categorization. Especially for the food sector this is very helpful for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reports for the individual transactions should be sorted even more by individual products and there should also be a search for related products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ability to create custom routes and locations.
Internal/External location ability as well as ability to create available and unavailable locations (quickly)

Tasks are created by a master document (Sales Order or Purchase Order). If you don't initiate or change transactions (like receipts, picks, etc) from the original document you can create issues in the system. Example - if you change a qty on an SO you need to ensure that the order has not been shipped (the system will let you do it). It can be picked, but the system will create a second pick for the order. Issue is that it lets you change an order that has been shipped. (it is not easy, put possible, and when it is possible users will figure it out).
There are other examples - such as returns need to be initiated from the shipment not the order.
As long as you can get users to understand that Odoo functions on movement between locations (routes) and transactions are created by source documents (SO, PO), you will be successful. It is an easy system to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

the friendly view and dashboard, i also like that i can make any inventory adjustments pretty easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
its kind of difficult to find the reserved inventory for determined SKU´s. That´s the onñly problem I see. I haven´t found where to watch my reserved products, and to which orders they belong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Odoo's inventory management module is a strong enterprise level inventory mangement system. It supports multiple warehouses, locations within warehouses and advanced operations like cross shipping. The module is suitable also for large warehouse operations as it supports wave picking and batch picking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The module has some limits. For example, it does not support QR type barcodes. The barcodes are of type CODE 39. Also, to load items to the inventory, one would require to program a separate module as it is not possible to import very large number of products in one go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have recently implemented Odoo inventory (and a handful of other modules) at my company. I find the software very intuitive, easy to use and customize, and an excellent value for what it offers. We are using it for our product business right now, which is partially subcontracted and has consigned parts as well. Odoo allows us to navigate costs of contract manufacturing and parts, BOM's that are very flexible, and still track and have visibility to consigned parts that are physically located at another site. The system is great at alerting users to tasks needed for completion and users find it super helpful compared to our previous more manual processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At this point, I do not have much to say on the negative side. Work with a success pack, learn how to customize and adapt, put in the work up front and it will pay off later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Everything is in one place. Find your product and everything you need to know about it in one spot (without it being cluttered and hard to read). Products are easy to update or archive (or restore). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's almost too easy. One wrong key-stroke and a new product is created. I turned off the ability for normal users to create products, which helped, but the people who need to be able to create still have a few accidental products from time to time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the simplicity of the system and the modular format. We were able to replace spreadsheets with a grown-up inventory system without a huge investment of money and time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the features are still not as intuitive as I would like. For example, I think the unit cost for an item should derive from the purchase info. It would also help if the purchase options were dynamic and changed based on the quantity ordered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First of all, the whole sales process for your Odoo SAAS is done on Odoo.
It sounds a bit stupid but because the team selling the software uses it, you get glimpses of what it accomplish from the get going.
I like the sleekiness of it. It is very intuitive & easy to use without prior training Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The way Odoo uses volumes isn't great. I don't deal in weight, I deal in sizes & I could uses that in Odoo.
Also you need to pay an extra monthly fee if you want to have scripts build... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a perfect tool to track products store Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the Odoo mobile application. It is very difficult to track products using mobile app Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This little feature called "request for tender" which allows you send RFQs to multiple vendors at once at the click of a button. No need to spend hours upon hours price shopping, enter everything once then let Odoo do the heavy lifting for you on this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are limited to no training materials that are really useful to use this system. It is intuitive enough but if you want to learn about managing products in the inventory module Odoo provides little to no resources on that or haven't so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
