It has literally lost my documents 5 times in less then a year. I've taken to saving to my desk top to avoid losing a day of work. It's fairly ridiculous how much trouble I've had and I believe it's linked to compatibility issues with MS and security systems on my computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First and foremost, we are sorry that you are experiencing these issues with Microsoft Word. It is frustrating for anyone when Word ‘ate my document’ – especially in light of the high pressure of creating proposals. The ability for Word to connect to SharePoint is a very powerful feature that millions of people use every day with minimum problems - and is the same powerful feature that you have in place with Octant.
When problems do arise, however, we find that it’s usually an issue with one or both of the following items:
1. Lack of maintaining Octant’s recommended minimum requirements on your computer
2. Incompatible and older software tools: firewalls, VPNs (your Pulse system), anti-virus, certain browser or more importantly, outdated versions of Microsoft Windows, web browsers, Microsoft Office, and not enough RAM on your computer to handle complex proposal documents, etc.
