I can now do quite complex live screen recordings and UI demonstrations quickly. I now use the software every couple of weeks. I can easily integrate different video sources and automatically switch between different 'scenes' by browsing around my computer. The recordings are output to the video folder and then can easily be dropped in powerpoints. **What do you dislike about OBS Studio?** Quite a steep learning curve as this is unlike other software it isn't the easiest to use. It took a while to understand how the interface works and what you can do with it. I love being able to add different cameras and other elements to the scenes, I can make a recording while switching scenes and cameras, I can add filters, clipping masks, and other elements giving my videos a professional touch. The virtual camera option has helped me integrate it with other videoconferencing software. However, if what you need is a good, workable solution to get broadcasting, OBS is the place to start. And for many of us, it's a fine place to stay - very little reason to "upgrade" to a paid broadcasting solution. What I use OBS most for is integrating with Facebook "go-live" function. Easily enter stream ket and go live in a few clicks. Audio meter right there, middle of the screen to make sure levels are good. I've run on quite a few computers, and it will run on modest equipment. I've even had good luck teaching it to other, non-technical people with a high success rate. The built-in recorder is also helpful for making backups of streamed events. **What do you dislike about OBS Studio?** It's hard to complain about Open Source (free) software. Yet, if I had to find something, the included font size is a little small, especially in the menus. As eyes are getting older, sometimes I wish they included an option for a larger font size. There are a few places where windows could be a bit more refined (like rounded corners, etc). But the esthetics aren't bad. There is a plug in to control PTZ cameras but it would be nice if it was natively a part of the program (wishes). I can use multiple cameras, deliver video and web content, do top-tier chromakey, and more. I constantly get comments about how the quality of my online meetings is the best they've ever seen. I've created many special effects people aren't used to seeing on a zoom call, like intros and outros, overlays, desk cam view so people can see me writing on paper, etc. I can also play videos with much higher quality that screensharing through zoom and deliver powerpoint presentations better, too. I have more control of the audio as well. I can adjust the sound to give my voice that 'radio announcer' tone.
