ShadowPlay does not have as full of a feature set as many of the fancier offerings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

the inability to remove the splash screen which is a bit invasive and unprofessional Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's easy to access, looks promising, and when it works it's good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How little control or settings available. Feels like you're limited to what it's set to and even seeing what the settings are is not available or difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At first, I mentioned that you could easily record gameplay sessions with a simple interface while offering basic optimization features backed by a strong community. Now that some time has passed with an upgraded graphics card and software, the service has still kept up to its standards regarding recording, replaying videos, or going live. The software did crash twice when I tried to open it up, so I had to reinstall it, but up to now, it's working just fine. And should be installed on your graphics card to keep it up to date and run services properly without lag or a capped speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside to Nvidia ShadowPlay was that there are better services. For example, if you want to record/stream and edit videos, OBS-Studio and Kdenlive are free, open-source nonlinear video editors that offer more than Nvidia, but that's if you want to go for a streamer video editor setup. The basics work just fine for screen recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's a simple-to-use product that needs little setup to operate. It seems to recognize full-screen applications and provide options for streaming and recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be used easily but if one is not familiar with the concept of streaming there can be some issues when you are not quite prepared with your setup. Make sure you have the right connection and hardware to be smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact that it records the last X minutes and doesn't take up any space. When you decide to want it, you can just say record the last, for me, 5 minutes, and have that! It doesn't affect gaming performance at all! While other recording softwares do, probably because it is writing to disk as you play. I don't know the inner workings but it's quite magical how Shadowplay works Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes 5 minutes is not enough, or too much. So I wish there was a way to change that time on the fly. So say it records the last 10 minutes, but then I can decide only to grab the last 2 minutes. That way I don't have a 5 gig file sitting on my PC. Sometimes doing shadowplay takes me out of the game I'm playing a bit... which isn't great for 'being in the moment' Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First of all, it's great that it has its Mother APP nVidia Experience which gives a lot of info about the games you have and has the ability to optimize the game settings for you according to your setup. It also has the excellent feature that constantly records and gives you an "instant replay" button that enables you to share the recorded moment without you doing any extra manual recording. Second good feature is you can edit the settings of quality without turning the game off, while playing you can modify the settings for frame rate and resolution, basically performance. It is not a decent replacement for xSplit or the OBS Studio, because it does not have those in-depth settings and preferences that are an option in other recording and streaming applications. It has absolutely no detailed configuration options, which for a streamer is a big no-no. Especially if you are a professional streamer, you will always need the features that other recorders or streaming applications offer, with sound, bitrates, separate window-in-window options, overlays and multitude or other options that shadowplay just does not have. I love the fact I do not always have to be recording while I play! If I ever need to record past gameplay it helps that shadowplay works since I can just record and post what I can post from that saved recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be completely honest I have not found an issue with the software yet. It has worked perfectly for me which is why I am writing this positive review on it. It has helped me with my work and I have not wanted to go to another recording software since getting this. One of the best out there! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use this software with windows 10 and 11. it's working smoothly in my HP gaming laptop compare to other software.
