How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Nutrient (formerly PSPDFKit) uses PDFium as our rendering engine and is actively maintained by Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Dropbox, and Nutrient. PDFium is a proven and mature technology that opens trillions of PDFs each year

Nutrient is the most secure PDF SDK. We’ve passed the SOC-2 Type 1 security audit and have zero vulnerabilities in the National Vulnerability Database.

We fanatically focus on developers by investing in documentation and developer experience to make it easier to get started and build a custom application. Our APIs are designed for the platform they run on, as opposed to a one-size-fits-all.

What do you like best about Nutrient?

PDFs have traditionally been hard to work with in the browser. PSPDFkit fills that gap and makes it easy to implement signatures, annotations, and redactions.

There aren’t many open source alternatives that offer the same high quality API.

For better or for worse, Industrial manufacturing still uses PDFs for critical functions like technical drawings and certifying inspections. Forcing our manufacturing partners to download and reupload pdfs is not acceptable. Luckily, we’ve been able to use PSPDFkit API to obviate these outdated processes, and keep them in app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutrient?

Managing a PDF online is often a complex task. When you develop a product for the end user, you need a library where the user can have the same experience as on Adobe Acrobat Desktop. I believe that PSDPDFKIT does this better, while also offering a user-friendly UI, which is crucial for the overall user experience.

In our experience, we're using PSPDFKit to show and browse PDFs that need to be signed, the interface to position in the signing forms and place a signature is super easy.

The customer support is very reactive. The ease of implementation is pretty fast from a technical point of view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutrient?

From a technical point of view, nothing to mention in particular.

From an administrative point of view, I think PSPDFKit should strive to become the standard library for online PDF Viewing.

The world needs simple and beautiful libraries to use. The increasing number of documents to show and to sign online is increasing dramatically. The way how you purchase, select the features and manage domains seems more like a niche library. It would be very helpful to have the possibility to renew and purchase the library in few seconds. Also, the minimum price of the library is very high if you have a software that need it only for few web pages.

But apart from this, no doubts it's the best PDF SDK ever made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutrient?

The PSPDFKit SDK has allowed me to forget about the inclusion of electronic signatures within a PDF and focus on my challenge of being able to perform electronic signatures using the electronic certificates of the Spanish DNIe from iOS devices using NFC technology. They are always attentive to possible developments and have accompanied me on this journey. I would also highlight its ease of integration into developed apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutrient?

The only negative point I can highlight is that it is an expensive product and it is complicated to access for new companies that are just starting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?

I needed to be able to include in a PDF the electronic signature generated by my apps using the electronic certificates of the Spanish DNIe. Fortunately, PSPDFKit gave me the solution to this problem and I managed to publish my apps with all the necessary functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutrient?

There is a common UX problem for all our customers using the PDF editor & this is sadly not included in their roadmap. The page is not viewable while editing so you would have to remember page numbers if its a large document which is very cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutrient?

Our developers find the SDK to be easy to use and to implement. We integrate PSPDFKit with several document management systems/ECMs/File Shares. We have been using the PSPDFKit SDK since 2016. We've only needed to contact support a handful of times. Support has been very techical and very quick. The SDK includes every feature which our demanding customer base needs. Scaling is not an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutrient?

No downsides for us. We are happy with the technology, support, and business people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutrient solving and how is that benefiting you?

We make a highly secure, encrypted mobile app for professionals. Our aim was to put the document source (ECM) and annotation in our single app, both to provide easy workflows and security. PSPDFKit's SDK make it feasible and easy to do so. Our customers love that they do not have to "move" documents to a second app to annotate them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
