**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

Novi is the easiest AMS  I have ever used. From the easy onboarding of the product, where the Novi team walked us through every step we needed, to the "big blue button" support, Novi is the best! It integrates perfectly with our QuickBooks and Constant Contact program. It is priced just right for all of the features we use, and it performs flawlessly!

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

The only thing I can think that I dislike, and it really isn't a Novi thing, is that it takes some time to download our full membership list. However, our membership list has 28,000 entries, so it might take a little bit of time.

**What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Novi is an all-in-one solution, so it makes everything in our office run smoothly!

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

Novi is more than just software; it is a community of associations who are all welcoming, collaborative, and willing to share their insights. What has stood out to us since the beginning, including during onboarding (2019), is the level of customer support they provide and how responsive and supportive the team is. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed help, they’ve been quick to jump in and make sure things get resolved. I also really appreciate the community of other associations using Novi; it’s welcoming, collaborative, and a great place to learn from peers.

The software itself is reliable, with strong features and robust reporting that make our work easier. We can configure a multitude of features to fit the specific needs of our association, rather than feeling boxed into a one-size-fits-all model. All features and updates are included in the price with no upselling or "nickel and dime"-ing. It’s very clear that Novi listens: our feedback actually shows up in product updates, which come regularly and make a real difference in how we use the system and can serve our members.

We've easily integrated with multiple other vendors for a robust connection of data and varying levels of member access to a variety of resources. 

Their pricing is transparent and worth every penny (and then some). It was a noticeable increase in cost from our previous AMS, but Novi is an absolute game changer. It changed the course of my own career; I used to spend a good amount of time manually entering accounting transactions into QBO, but since implementing Novi I've had the opportunity to focus on strategic initiatives vs. administrative support.

Novi is critical to our Association's success. Most staff are in it every day, and it successfully serves as our 'source of truth' for all operations. I cannot imagine using another AMS again, and I don't anticipate we'll ever need to!

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

There is nothing I truly dislike about Novi. I would say a challenge of ours that has to do with our own capacity, is staying abreast of the features from releases. I've never opened Novi and felt 'lost,' but there have been times when we've realized that a feature that has already been released could improve our own workflow. Novi publishes easy-to-read release notes, hosts webinars on big releases, has a plethora of helpful support articles, and is incredibly easy to get ahold of for questions. Again, this is on us for our ability to implement process changes, not on Novi.

**What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Novi has streamlined so many processes for us. The integration with QBO reduces administrative burden, the committee management helps us keep track of volunteers and their meeting attendance (automatically!), collects NPS scores, helps us identify which of our members may be at risk for non-renewal, offers pre-built and custom reports to create any report you could possibly need, and serves as an integral part of our business operations.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

Their customer support is truly second to none—the team is incredibly responsive and generous with their time. Novi excels at membership and process management, making day-to-day operations far more efficient. The website management tools are intuitive and powerful, and the built-in features for community engagement have helped us better connect with our members.

With a robust resource library and live trainings that make onboarding seamless, this platform is head and shoulders above what competitors offer.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

We couldn’t be happier using Novi as our association management software. We made the switch a year ago, and my only complaint is that we didn’t sign up sooner. The value for money is outstanding, and the platform provides a high level of security and reliability.

Specifically Novi AMS has helped our CFO have a better handle on the accounting sides of things.  We provide a ton of online education to our members and Novi has made this process extremely easy to manage.  Additionally, Novi AMS has allowed our organization to become a lot more professional with our upgraded online presence through Novi AMS.

What I like most about Novi is that it just makes my life easier. Everything’s in one place — membership info, events, billing, all of it — and it actually makes sense the way it’s set up. I don’t feel like I’m fighting the system to get things done. Plus, their team is always super responsive and helpful when I have questions. It’s clear they actually care about the people using it.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

Honestly, it was a little overwhelming at first just because there’s so much packed into the system. It took me a bit to get used to where everything was and how it all connects. But once I figured it out, it started making things way easier. Just one of those tools that takes a minute to click.

It’s helped us stay way more organized with memberships, renewals, and billing. Everything’s in one place now, which saves me time and keeps things from slipping through the cracks.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

We absolutely love using Novi! The management side is incredibly easy to use, and the seamless integration with our website has made a huge difference. Our members appreciate being able to log in, view and pay invoices, and register for events without any hassle.

The professional look and functionality of our website has been a game changer, and internally, the ability to run detailed reports, set up groups and committees, and sync with Constant Contact has streamlined so much of our work.

One of the biggest time-savers for us has been the QuickBooks integration. Before Novi, we had to enter payments into our CRM and then again into QuickBooks—now it’s all done automatically, and it’s made our workflow much more efficient.

The help that we receive from the webinars, office hours, intercom and help articles is invaluable!

Novi has truly elevated the way we manage our association!

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

There’s not much to complain about with Novi, but the biggest challenge we face is understanding the specific terminology used—like needing to search for “shipping address” instead of “physical address”—which can make finding help articles or setting up features like events and reports a bit tricky. That said, we really appreciate that the developers are always listening and improving based on user feedback.

Novi AMS has streamlined our operations, allowing us to work more efficiently and accurately. With members able to update their own profiles, register for events, and pay invoices with ease, we not only save valuable time but also present a more professional experience—freeing me up to focus on bigger-picture tasks.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

Novi is very user friendly and easy to learn. You don't have to be a website designer or even a marketing guru to use it. I love that it integrates with other platforms, especially QuickBooks and Mailchimp. The support is also amazing. They are very responsive and always so helpful. You never feel like you are bothering you. They truly care about helping you success and making your job easier. The company seems to only hire nice genuine people who want to constantly improve their product, and they do!

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

Novi isn't perfect; it can't do everything... yet. They are always introducing new features, and if they can't provide that feature, they provide an alternative solution. It's hard to find anything I don't like.

Integration and efficiency are key for us. Switching to Novi was a huge timesaver. I can do so much myself now instead of depending on or waiting on other people.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

It’s incredibly user-friendly, easy to navigate, and customizing features is simple. The implementation process was seamless, and their support team is outstanding — always quick and helpful.

We use Novi daily — it’s truly the central hub for everything we do. From member management to communication, it keeps everything organized and running smoothly. Plus, our users love it and constantly rave about how easy it is to use.

Highly recommend for any association looking for a reliable, all-in-one solution!

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

While we really enjoy using Novi, there are a few small challenges we've run into. Some features can be a bit hard to find, especially when we don’t use them often — even though we know they exist (thanks to the awesome free training classes!).

Occasionally, the naming or labeling of certain things isn’t as intuitive as we'd like, which makes it tricky to remember exactly where to go to complete a task or what that particularly means.

That said, we appreciate that the support and training are always there when we need a refresher. Just a bit more intuitive labeling or a quick-access guide would make a great product even better!

**What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Novi AMS is helping us centralize and streamline all of our association’s operations. It serves as the single source of truth for member data, event management, communications, and more — which has eliminated the need for multiple disconnected systems.

It’s saving us time, improving accuracy, and making it much easier to manage day-to-day tasks. Plus, the user-friendly interface means our team and members can navigate it with ease, and the customization options allow us to tailor the platform to fit our specific needs.

Overall, it’s increased our efficiency and helped us deliver a better experience to our members.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

Novi AMS is one of the easiest software programs I have ever used. We hired a new employee this year, and he was able to pick up the program quickly during his onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

I would always like a quicker response from customer service, yet they are as timely as possible. They always respond with a friendly attitude and get back to me as soon as possible.

**What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous AMS was difficult to maintain and made maintaining our membership a challenge. Novi AMS makes all levels of our program visible to all of us. It integrates our accounting within the system, so I can easily tell if an organization is up-to-date on the invoices. Each staff member has the same level of information readily available when members have a question.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

I love how it makes it easy for members to create their accounts, manage their own billing, and company information without having to call. We've increased our association revenue and are still learning ways to make money on our website.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

I don't like the hard-set templates. I wish we could customize them more and edit them to our liking, even after initial set up. Also, wish we could have video playing on our page without the need to create another app to stream it.

It is helping with record retention and member management. We're able to easily see who has outstanding invoices, and it allows more people from the company to create their accounts to get information from our association.

I like the idea of it all working together with our accounting system and other programs and everything being available on our website.

I think there are too many limitations and things that we cannot get to work for our needs. I am new to my company, I started in May 2025. They Got Novi in January of 2025. I have also been tasked with being the Novi expert of the team, but I find it hard to learn it in depth while also having time to get my job done as well.

It is helping our organization by mainstreaming a lot of outdated and separate programs they used to use in their day-to-day.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

I think they hire great people who really believe in the company and many of whom have a background in associations so that helps them to truly understand their clients.  This sounds like a no brainer, but many companies make a product roadmap and add features without consulting with the clients, Novi has a track record for listening to all customers, not just the biggest most revenue generating ones AND they even let clients vote on new features.  I have not experienced that with other tech companies.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

I don't dislike this feature, reports, but I would like to see more ready-made reports to save from having to build them.  I once worked for a software company that had 250 existing reports, which was overkill, but I would like to see more than the ones they have.  Users can build their own reports, but it would be nice to have some built that users can just make small tweaks to for the needs of their organization.

Helping us understand who are members are, whether membership is growing, track financials, etc.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

I love how Novi supports our unique organization with its robust and diverse system, suitable for our four divisions with synergy and individuality. The transition was smoother than expected, with notable communication and efficiency from the Novi team. Their responsiveness and integration of specific phrases into the software for a reasonable cost were impressive. The data extraction and analysis capabilities empower us to improve service and effectiveness in the business community. The user-friendly, standard interface is so intuitive that even my 12-year-old can navigate it effortlessly. QuickBooks integration, which has eliminated previous issues, and the software's expansive capabilities for addressing office issues, make Novi a valuable investment.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

I think it would be beneficial to have more website functionalities, particularly related to video content. The current system does not seem to support the easy upload of video content, and as we operate in a visual world, this feature is essential. Moreover, the ability to schedule these video uploads in advance would be a really useful tool that seems to be lacking currently.

Novi streamlines data extraction and integration with QuickBooks, enhances support metrics, and simplifies our nonprofit's operations. Its user-friendly interface, responsive team, and smooth transition process make it invaluable for managing our diverse divisions efficiently.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

I've built several web companies, a couple SaaS platforms, and had the opportunity to work with dozens of API and integrations.  NOVI's fully documented and supported API paired with their team's dedication to ensuring things work  has made the process of extending the functionality of what my clients can do very achievable.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

The Member Compass is a fantastic place for centralizing integrated components that impact the members.  But the lack of customization in the navigation makes it a little cumbersome to access some of those items.

**What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NOVI makes it easy to explore opportunities for operational growth and automation when the association's business model isn't standard.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

Novi AMS is easily the best AMS solution that is offered. Without a doubt, they have the best customer support in the AMS area. The platform is simple to use, but it looks extremely clean and modern to our members and other website visitors. From the day we launched, there has been a clear positive impact on all business operations associated with Novi. Accounting is streamlined now that our AMS is connected to QuickBooks. Capturing credit card payments is a breeze. Sending communications to Novi users via Mailchimp integration has made it easy for us to gain useful insights about our members that we previously did not have. The onboarding process was extremely easy, and each onboarding specialist and support staff is personable and eager to help. Novi AMS is simply the best. They have an immediate and profound impact on our organization and membership. We cannot recommend Novi AMS enough.

Novi has been user friendly.  It also has a lot of information right at your fingertips.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

Some of the refunds happen is not clear.  It seems like it is different each time we have a refund. This might be more of an issue with being hooked to QB.  Directions are not always correct and need updating.

**What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Member information, membership renewals, membership registration.  The system has been so much better than our previous one.  User friendly, intuitive, great information at our fingertips.  I don't think we have really even scratched the surface of what it can do for us.

There are two major platforms we use outside of Novi: one for email communications and one for forms submissions. If Novi could either seamlessly link to these, or offer similar services, it would only improve the platform.

Novi solves the problem of tracking membership and membership dues. It also allows us to publish news, and have a dynamic website, which can be an overwhelming experience on its own. Novi's support team makes it easy to figure out anything that feels to complex.

I’ve been a daily NoviAMS user since 2017 as it manages our non-profit trade association, and it has been an absolute game-changer. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to navigate for individuals of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned techies.

One of the standout features is its seamless integration with QuickBooks Online. This has saved us a significant amount of time and reduced errors when managing our financials, as everything syncs automatically. Whether I’m tracking memberships, managing events, or running reports, the software ensures everything runs smoothly.

Overall, NoviAMS has simplified our operations and made our work more efficient. The onboarding process was something we were unsure about but nded up being smooth. We had a dedicated team member every step of the way. I highly recommend it to any non-profit organization or association looking for an intuitive and effective complete management tool.

BONUS: The customer service is top-notch. I'm talking response times that are unheard of in the tech space!

This is so difficult because there aren't many downsides to the product for us. Almost no downtime in the almost 10 years we have been using it. 

I would say it's ability to use other products but now it has an open API so other tools and software work together. That's a gamechanger for our trade show.

I'll keep thinking on this and update but it's  game-changer!

Before NoviAMS, we wre trakcing memberships using a clunky spreadsheet. That is a thing of the past. 
We used to do so many manual ccounting tasks that are 100% automated and trackable using NoviAMS and QuickBoos Online.
We are saving so much precious staff time now that members can register themselves, download receipts, add their own team members, etc., using their Member Compass dashboard.
Finally, our branding appears seamless with our logo and theme and website all flowing together. We love it!

Now, members can use their profile to view and print their invoices, see when their membership expires, and updated their information. We are now able to offer  more robust member-only benefits, since we can lock website, products, and events down so only members can access them. It is also wonderful to have everything in one place  -- membership, event registration, product purchases, etc...

The seemless integration with QBO and Constant Contact has made such a difference in our time management. Having the Member Compass for our members to access for renewals, event registrations and more has been a game changer for our office efficiencies. The staff at Novi are extremely responsive and helpful with all my endless questions. The onboarding was so seemless by our onboarding specialist who worked with us to figure out some unusuaI needs that we had. I also appreciated Novi's willingness to make changes when something is being asked for by users and the fact they notify me when something I was listed as wanting is being put into production.

The website is so easy to update and manipulate for changes. We've gotten many compliments on our new site since its launch!

Novi has been so easy to use and the transition from our old AMS was simple. It is much more user friendly, they are always making improvements and their customer service is amazing. I use the system daily and it has made my life so much easier. My team members did not use our old AMS, instead they asked for information to be pulled and we created a lot of manual reports. Now, they are in there finding their own information. 
I looked at many AMS platforms and this was the best fit for our association.

I don't see this as a drawback, but some may. The system is not customizable  - it is configurable. To me this is good though bc it helps when you have an issue with the system. Our old system was customized and I always had to go to third party help because it was customized.

It has made mainting out information much easier, honestly, everything in this system is easier than our last, therefore creating a time savings. And the two way Quickbooks sync, saves a lot of time as well.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

It's easy to set up and use. It plays well with many other SaaS systems that we use and the staff are approachable, friendly, and solution-oriented. If you have issues, Novi doesn't make you file a ticket that gets answered by an anonymous email address. You just open the chat window in the site backend, and you're talking with a team member whose name you know (and who you've probably talked with before) within minutes.

They've worked to build a strong customer community. They treat their customers like they are members of a user association  (most of their staff are former association staff, I think)

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

The only thing that Novi does not currently do that we want is facility member-to-member communications. It does connect to other platforms that do that, so it's not a huge issue.

Novi did not have all the bells and whistles that we wanted when we started with them a few years ago, but they've been very responsive to feedback and requests, and have added many new features that we've requested. So we're optimistic about future improvements.

**What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Novi serves as an information hub for us to track our members (database), but also for our members to participate in the association(website). It's the central focus of our operations and activity. Many other SaaS platforms that we use connect or integrate with Novi in some way, and the two synch to Quickbooks Online saves us a huge amount of time by eliminating the need to  export/import transactions and then have to reconcile them.

Note on the price: Novi is not the cheapest platform, and it shows. It has been well worth the cost to get the quality customer support and a system that works this well. There are far more expensive systems out there that are not half as good.

**What do you like best about Novi AMS?**

The NoviAMS support team is beyond the best in customer service. We have used plenty of different AMS systems over the years and every day I am blown away by their team's support.

Their development is the "gold" standard of software development, focusing on customer input, multiple rounds of testing for each feature and is constantly developing new features versus their competitors that are constantly fixing bugs instead of features.

We use NoviAMS every day for managing our operations and it has become our single source of data. There are tons of integrations to assist with automations that are easy to use and understand. There is even comprehensive documentation if you want to go further with your automations with Novi.

We have gone through the AMS selection process a couple of times over the past decade and I can safely say, this is the best decision we have made. It has saved a massive amount of staff time, allows our data to stay "clean" and even forced us to really clean up our old data.

Onboarding and implementing NoviAMS was the smoothest of any onboarding we have had and we definitely had a lot of clean-up to do and decisions to make in this process. Novi has a VERY robust onboarding that is well thought out.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

There is very little I dislike about NoviAMS. My only possible dislike is that the speed is slower than other systems, but it's something our staff is used to. We know that it's handling tons of processes on the back-end to keep our data clean.

There aren't as many features as some other AMS systems so you will have some additional costs for other software, but the majority connects together and it gives you more customization versus a half-built feature in some platforms that is clunky to work with.

**What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Novi solves the issues of data integrity across platforms. It helps automate data entry on a large scale, especially with financials. It has served as our single source of clean, accurate data and can host ALL of our contacts (members, non-members, prospects, exhibitors, sponsors, etc.).

I love the cleanliness of the database and the design and how intuitive it is to learn the system. The staff is super responsive and, unlike other systems I've used, I feel that I learned my way around so much quicker because of the training we received.

There's nothing that I really dislike about Nobi. The only thing I miss about our old system is being able to generate invoices out of the system instead of going through QuickBooks. But other than that, all the positives far out way that that one negative.

Novi AMS has been a gamechanger for our membership association! We finally have clean data and a way to track member's journeys and engagement. We used to have dozens of support tickets a week on our old platform (MemberClicks), but now the system is so seamless. I particularly love how well-documented all of the processes are, so I can easily find answers to something I don't know how to do on the platform. Their support chat is also super fast and helpful.

NOVI AMS is an extrememly efficient system that is helping our assocation organize and execute objective more effectively. NOVI staff and support is amazing as well!

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

At times the login situation can be problematic and not completely clear to certain users that were migrated over. This creates duplicate accounts.The prompting language is a bit confusing but I did add more custom directions to guide them through the process. For new users this is not an issue. All in all, this is small issue.

NOVI is helping us solve many problems and is making us more efficient in the categories of dues renewals, event registration and new memberships!

When we made the switch to Novi AMS, we saw an increase in productivity for staff, as well as a better experience for our Members. The team at Novi are so incredibly responsive and helpful, and we always feel taken care of. We're SO happy we made the switch when we did. It really transformed both our staff experience and member experience on so many fronts!

What's not to like? Our staff and members love that Novi AMS is so user friendly and intuitive. Navigating the system is very easy and manageable. The ease of integration, especially the two-way integration with QuickBooks is a game changer in the best way.

There are a few small items that we'd like to be able to customize but they're not enough of a dislike or con for us to want to use another platform.

Novi has so many fantastic features that it's difficult to know where to begin. It's easy to learn and use, and the implementation process was incredibly smooth. Our incoming data was in poor condition, and the assistance we received was invaluable. We truly love our website and appreciate how simple it is to update and make changes. It's great to know that I won't have to wait two weeks for any updates to be made.

I love all the options that are available in Novi and that there is always something new to learn! They continue to offer webinars about systems. They are very open to new ideas to help the program run better. Their customer service is amazing. It is a VERY user friendly system, that our new employees have picked up quickly.

I have had some issues integrating it with one of our other software systems. It works, but it took longer to figure out then anticipated.

The integration with QuickBooks has been such a timesaver and has reduced redundancy. The front end is clean, modern, and easy to maintain and update. Support and onboarding were perfect, our questions were answered, and solutions were shared when requested.

I do wish the address verification used USPS standards to verify and not Google, the format would be better and in line with the actual standards used by the United States Postal Service.

Event management tools have really helped me to be able to easily create, promote, and track events, from small networking gatherings to large conferences seamlessly.

Novi is a live/active database with multiple people able to be working in it at the same time. It offers real time updates to accounts that members can see.

**What do you dislike about Novi AMS?**

The ecommerce portion of Novi AMS is by far the weakest portion. Changes need to be made to add backend abilities for status updates, notes on orders for specific items to note, etc.

The live database that can be accessed by members, administrators, etc. has cut down on the amount of incorrect information because of updating. Also, the integration of bookkeeping with member data allows for members to view outstanding invoices and pay with ease.

The People! The customer service is so impressive and having a great relationship with many people on the Novi team gives an extra personal touch and I always feel heard with ideas and concerns.

No AMS is perfect and our membership structure isn't the perfect fit when it come to who holds the membership  person or company but Novi has helped us with any work arounds needed.
