We have a home grown CMDB that managed the full life cycle of our servers and other infrastructure devices that was very easily migrated into the Nlytes data structure including access personnel groups, maintainance and warrenty tracking

  ### 9. 8 Years of Nlyte usership

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Frankly the product. We went out to the market 9 years ago to find a replacement for Apeture. We needed a tool that could do everything that we did then but also have scope for new enhancements and benefits. Nlyte was, and still is, the perfect fit. We were able to migrate without service impact and add in features like NEO to also pull in our customer energy billing (previously managed by another 3rd party application). We have since continued to develop our NAO and NEO usage to offer further benefit to the business.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

We have had some long running support cases which the Nlyte team stuggle to gain traction on. These have since been resolved however it can sometimes feel that there isn't the focus or resource within support to really deal with some tough issues. My other bone of contention is the Feature Request list. We and other customers have submitting thousands of feature requests with no apparent focus on delivering them. I have personally discussed this with Nlyte and it has also been raised at User Groups.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned previously Nlyte allowed us to replace Aperture and then further develop our DCIM approach to add in other benefits to the business. This includes NEO but also support for other Fujitsu businesses globally.

  ### 10. Nlyte is premier tool for Data Center Management but has its flaws

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

The integration of tools and features makes Nlyte a valuable tool. The included reports and analytics really helps with determining ways ahead for future expansion or additions to the datacenter.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Nlyte has some wonkiness about it, no matter the application. The thing I think I dislike the most is the documentation of the products. Installation almost always requires support to help complete. The database desing makes it difficult to perform bulk updates but a tool is included that allows updates but it is very segmented.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NLyte is helping our company have a better understanding of capacity in the data center as well as planning for expansions and additions.

  ### 11. Optimizing data center operations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Nlyte simplify DCIM with it features like Assest tracking, work flow automation.
Interface is very easy to understand and it provides real time monitoring.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Customer service could be better & documentation can be tricky to understand

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us to implement our resources better, cost planning, saving time & manpower

  ### 12. Helpful Tool for managing data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

It becomes very easy to manage all the data, servers and also see the power consumption.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

It might be difficult for new users to understand the interface and initial setup.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it gives me real time tracking of the servers and the data , so helps me save time.

  ### 13. Nlyte product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose F. | IT Facilities, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

I just getting familiar with this product that will be implement very soon

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

That I am not familiar with this product since we have not implement in our company

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better tracking assets

  ### 14. nlyte Plantium User Reveiw

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David O. | Secretary, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

it is very intuitive for the novice but has huge deep dive potential for cross useage of data sets

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

this is more of a requirements gathering issue in that it is verry easy to underestimate the effort required to collect, validate, enter and maintain the data sets, you need a very robust add change move process in place.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is allowing us to track and manage our hosting center U spaces and it also allows us through integrations with NEO to manage in a single payne our locations and alarms

  ### 15. The Nlyte Platinum product is a great asset and tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Nlyte's flexiblilty with user-defined materials, user-defined fields, user-defined polling profiles, and utilization of multiple protocols is refreshing. I commend their Platinum platform, implementation staff, and literature resources. Any monitoring or asset management tool should 'first' be an inventory tool. This is exactly the way this software is implemented. The utilization of SQL and its configuration to allow manipulation through accounts known to the user, allowed for easier integration when some of the HTML interfaces provided slower means or less complete means. Likewise the databases are not kept from the user. That is yet another advantage.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Not using the word dislike, I would suggest the following:
1. Enhancing the maneuverablity and the editing of the device console with .csv imports and exports as has been accomplished with the profile management menu. This can be expanded into the status sets and alarm enrollments.
2. I don't mind the device console, but would prefer a import/export tool for various tables within the database. The editing of such tables through the device console with its Add, Edit, and Expand buttons is prehistoric and slow for implentation.
3. The literature for NEO Admin and NEO User would benefit from either a.) correcting Platinum syncing intricacies, Metrics Console intuitiveness, and placement sync totality through updates or b.) thoroughly detailing the development and additional steps necessary with paths for various instances within the literature. A user should not need to get support if either of the two above were true. However, when additional support was needed, it was always easy to come by.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nlyte is providing opportunities for documentation of both asset inventory and cable mapping. Nlyte is a tool that can be used to obtain a solution. Like any tool, when it is not utilized, it doesn't produce. However, it definitely is a great tool.

  ### 16. Nlyte - NEO review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabian S. | Senior Data Center Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

It is pretty easy to maintain, update informatio and the support they provide is great. Implementations and upgrades as user friendly. It is ease to ingrate with NAO.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

The version upgrades come up to quickly, and it is hard to know at which of this we should do an update and pay for it.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the alarming system is great, and help us to control them.

  ### 17. Three years' experience with the Nlyte system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zenon R. | Infrastructure Operations Expert, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

The Nlyte system covers all the data centre operation issues I deal with and is very flexible in its customisation and meets most requirements. Nlyte is open to suggesting new functionalities and has accepted many of my proposals for future implementation.
The second very positive thing is the helpdesk, which gets very involved in helping users to solve configuration problems or explain how to use the Nlyte system correctly.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Most commercially available IT systems are developed in a hurry and most of them suffer from a lack of detailed technical documentation.
This is also a problem with the Nlyte system, as while the documentation is extensive, it lacks a lot of technical detail.
The documentation looks as if it has been written by professional technical writers who do not know the technical details and only describe what can be seen on the screen - there is no explanation of what exactly such a change will do or what the element can be used for.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Nlyte system used by our company provides aset management, monitoring of the infrastructure and helps with capacity management in our data centre .

  ### 18. Nlyte

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishesh V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

3D view of assets and monitring the power.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Require clear understanding about energy optimizer

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to track the asset details and packages we receive

  ### 19. Account manager in Greece

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikolaos C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

High tech reports. Easy of use and integration to other applications.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Actually there is no that I dislike in Nlyte. Maybe I'd prefer to be more flexible in technical cases.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitor a large Data Center with critical equipements.

  ### 20. During our year+ with Nlyte, the onboarding and support during our Sunrise has been superb!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

The app is very responsive for end users. The company listens to our input and considers all of our requests for improvements and discusses them thoroughly with us before coming to any conclusions on how they will respond to it. Most of our requests for features get implemented in future versions. Several fixes have been made as patches, just for our use. I can not complain about their customer service after the sale!

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Some features are little off the industry standard. Using industry standards for all measurements and data fields would be easier to have all of our end users understand. Custom fields are available, but severely impact report performance, so consider that when moving to Nlyte. Know their data fields and know yours, if they do not match, and custom fields are needed, evaluate the importance of them in reports.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency! Our previous DCIM tool was so slow, no one was using it and data was obsolete. Now its used regularly and our use is expanding. Looking forward to our continued expansion into all the capabilities the tool can offer.

  ### 21. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christie Z. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

I like that the graphical interface is easy to understand. It's also easy to use. For example, adding assets and viewing 3D assets. Changing records and viewing logs is simple too.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

There are a couple of issues with adding assets. API is too large occasionally, but most submissions go through with no problem. The interface could be slightly less convoluted.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping with data center auditing. It's easy to view any assets that should be in the rooms or those that do not belong there. I would like to see 3D graphics for cables.

  ### 22. Suggestion on extending nLyte

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

What if Colo providers had a front end DCIM tool to allow clients to put together requirements, specifications, and floorplans (i.e. full end-to-end Data Center build.)? If you integrated this with each Colo Provider where the Colo Provider could use this tool over their portal/website, and the client could input that data into a Front End DCIM GUI tool (requirement gathering.) The client can play up racks type/dimensions, make/model, power, pdu's, etc. This could help Colo Providers sell/market their space much more effectively/seemlessly.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Please see my like comments. I think the tool can really play a serious significant role for data center colo providers.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Determining design, build, and other outlying requirements for data center implementation/deployment.

  ### 23. Nlyte DCIM tool for Data Center(s)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

We were able to only partially deploy the software in my data centers so I was unable to use all of the features. What we were able to use that I liked were the graphical layouts of the rooms and devices we had installed. We also loaded multiple rooms and multiple geographically diverse DCs into the tool.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Nlyte can do so many different things, and for that it needs a vast amount of details/data in order to do so. Without coming from a previous tool we had to collect much of the data manually, which took a considerable amount of man-hours.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nlyte was able to give us one place to log into to see the graphical layout of our many data centers. We were able to determine where we had available space and power for upcoming installs.

  ### 24. One of the best DCIM tools currently on the market - a must-have!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Proby P. | Sr. Enterprise Storage Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Visualization (Floor Planner) and dashboarding features. Appreciate the Operational and Power states.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Takes a little bit of administrative work however, most of the workflows are straight-forward and very rare to raise support case.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datacenter and floor layouts. Helps us plan capacity for current and future datacenter planning efforts.

  ### 25. Good for asset tracking; terrible for port mapping and auditing.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Nlyte is acceptable for basic asset management.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Beyond primary usage in tracking assets, it is not user-friendly. It is costly and lacks numerous basic functions, such as log audits related to port mapping, exporting precise port mapping of devices, changing device materials, etc. Furthermore, its design makes it extremely difficult to use on a standard company supplied 14-inch laptop screen.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nlyte has not solved any problems for our organization.

  ### 26. Nlyte is the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Using Nlyte has transformed how we manage the life cycles of our assets. Also being able to monitor, in real-time, power consumption, temperature and humidity had been a lifesaver.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Nlyte is a very powerful tool for us
however for the GUI could be a little more friendly accessing the advanced features.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asset lifecycle management. Sustainability metrics. Realtime power/temperature management

  ### 27. Great and easy to lean DCIM software

Little too much customization. Integration related to API configuration need to be improved.

Being able to show business owners a 3D model of their racks, along with space and available U space,

To my understanding, there is a bit of a learning curve to utilizing Nlyte, however, Nlyte offer many training videos on Youtube that are helpful.

This connector helps streamline communication with workflows that management is able to approve.

  ### 32. Typical Inventory management tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DC B. | Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Excellent DCIM tool to manage/track your inventory details at one single platform. It has plenty of options and details oriented. Tracking asset information is relatively easy and handy.
-Easy to work
-Fast response to each option.
-Customizable reports
-Best for Asset audits
-Best 3D views for Racks and assets
-Great customer supports

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

1: Admin function could have been better for user permissions as they offer 917 permission fields to choose and it is unnecessary - Could have been a simple way for this
2:Adding a floor plan to a site is not easy and too much complicated- Could have been better

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping assets in a single place makes it easy to track and manage simultaneously—hassle-free software.

The 3D view of cabinet/asset gives a realistic picture to the users. This is one of the amazing features that all our users love. Moreover, the integration for temperature and power monitoring is very helpful for planning the commissioning of assests.

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

We like best the ability to have devices, host, application, support and cabling information all in one tool.

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

The ability to create reports for our account teams detailing their current inventory of assets.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Advanced search can be very complex in generating reports

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 38. First Class DCIM Software with First Class Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew M. | Data Centre Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Nlyte is an excellent all round user friendly DCIM tool used daily within our DC and Tech Room environments by a wide variety of colleagues and ideally suits our needs in terms of asset lifecycle management and their related cabling connections. The support we receive though both the Customer Portal and occasional onsite visits to investigate any are also excellent.

Highlights include:

- The visual interface of the application front end is excellent, particularly the floor planner and cabinet planner views.

- The relative ease of adding assets and connections makes Nlyte easy to administer day to day.

- The searching and export features of Nlyte make it very quick and easy for both admins and read only users to run reports based on any aspect of the data held for whatever purpose they require.

- Customer support from Nlyte is great and from a friendly team - its always a pleasure to link up with them at DC events. The in person 'Nlyte User Group' meetings run periodically by Nlyte are also really useful for sharing ideas with and learning from other customers.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

- The quirks of the BDM (Bulk Data Manager uploading tool) can be cumbersome and take some getting used to plus the different asset classes can feel restrictive, however once you are used to the structure of Nlyte this fades greatly.

- Nlyte would benefit from adding CFD capabilities to its native package.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Read only users can self serve through web based front end GUI rather than request info via admins as per previous asset DB tool.

- Rack visualizations and native floor planner eliminates need for this detail to be calculated and stored elsewhere and clearly reflects the reality of the DCs rather than the more abstract data only ('letters and numbers') feature of old DBs.

- Planning features related to install, moves and decoms reduces reliance on external docs.

  ### 41. Nyle Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Complete coverage of DCIM and related matters, no other product does it that way

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

User interface can always be improved but not critical. Perhaps better integration with other tools for a single pane of glass approach

**Recommendations to others considering Nlyte:**

Give it a good try, with a PoC or large eval

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Large on-prem Data Center and medium sized currently on evaluation

  ### 42. A flexible, vendor-neutral DCIM solution with responsive support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derrick S. | Facilities Technician, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Nlyte NEO uses platform-agnostic network protocols like SNMP and ModbusTCP to communicate with thousands of network devices. Configuration is intuitive and does not require vendor intervention to add or configure new devices, instead we're able to quickly add new devices to the system ourselves and rarely call in support. However, when we do need help, Nlyte support is friendly and easy to communicate with, they quickly understand our problem when given only a few short sentences and are happy to jump on a remote session with short notice. Support is also quick to turn bug reports into feature requests and provide us insight to their product roadmap, ensuring our needs are met in the future.

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Some graphical elements of the Nlyte NEO interface can be awkward compared to other tools due to the evolution of NEO over time. The system is not suitable for instant notification when issues occur (like a BAS/EPMS) - it is better suited for long term trending and reporting. Exporting historical trend data for analysis in external tools can be challenging and requires either manual formatting of spreadsheets or knowledge of the SQL database back end.

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nlyte NEO is the global alarm monitoring dashboard for our critical sites. It tracks power outages, equipment failures, IT loads, efficiency metrics and more. We use NEO for capacity planning, alarm notification and response, root cause analysis and reporting. NEO is easily accessed and understood by users with varying levels of technical understanding across multiple departments within our company, including Information Technology, Facilities and our external maintenance partners.

  ### 43. Great tool to manage a Data Center

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

BDM tool - mass uploads and views
Floorplan - easy to use, placing racks, viewing computer room
GUI - very nice GUI, easy to use, self explaining

**What do you dislike about Nlyte?**

Calculate available floor space to see how much space is left in the room to place additional racks
Deco process - sometime a "force" delete would be nice to remove racks
possibility in BDM tool to display the content of a single rack or multiple racks
the connection between two assets also as an asset

**What problems is Nlyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

getting rid of Excel sheets for documentation
easier planning
easier allocation
easier displaying capacity

**What do you like best about Nlyte?**

Customization options and role based access for the racks are some nice features.Initially setup was a pain as to feed the information in different formats and uploading in the Nlyte. Also it was not easy to do the customization but it grows on you. Exact Cabling requirement for a new device. Also based on the model we can check with the corresponding team if the cablings was needed or not.
Inventory management is one of the other benefits.
Facilities management. Tacking assets. Manage power and cooling details, as earlier we were managing all these details separately in different portals.
Works best for migration planning. It provides the audit reports which would be handy as all can be pulled from a single portal.

3D-360 view helps the remote teams to have an idea of the devices which are in the datacenter and also in case of migration also this is very useful.

One can configure the alerts based on the thresholds which you like. Email triggers or dashboards which you need.

All this helped in moving from the excel for the inventory management, power management and cabling inventory. This will help you in detailed steps needed for a new device addition with the existing inventory or if you want to move devices in different racks. Or if we are moving or physical migration of the data center. So this helps in determining the steps which are involved so that you can make a detailed planning for the migration.

Initially many training were organized by the company to provide the overview of the product. and to get familiarity on the options which Nlyte provides to the users.
