Nickel has made getting paid the easiest part of running my business. I run a services firm that invoices clients every month, and I need payments to arrive reliably and on time. Nickel delivers on that every cycle.

The interface is clean and intuitive. I can create and send an invoice in a few minutes, and my clients don’t need any training to pay. They connect their bank once and they’re set. The QuickBooks Online integration saves me from re-entering invoices and keeps my books in sync.

The biggest win is cost. I collect large invoices every month, and with other platforms the processing fees would take a real bite out of my margins. With Nickel’s ACH payments, I keep that money in my business.

Honestly, there’s very little I dislike. My only wish is a little more speed and visibility in a couple of areas. Standard ACH payments take a few business days to settle, so when I’m working against a deadline I’d love more insight into exactly where a payment is in the process. Occasionally a new client also needs a little help the first time they connect their bank account. Clearer in-app guidance during that first setup would make it even smoother. I manage The Fab Four, a touring Beatles tribute, and I've used Nickel since August 2026 to pay our cast, crew, partner companies and vendors (trucking, freight logistics, travel reimbursements) by ACH. In September alone I sent around 60 payments, mostly in batches right after show settlements, ranging from a few hundred dollars to over $10,000. What I like most is that payees enter their own bank details through Nickel, so I never have to collect or store anyone's account numbers. The Nickel Plus subscription is $420 a year, which is noticeable for a small company, and our volume is very seasonal, so some months I'm paying for features I barely use. I'd like a pay-as-you-go option for slower months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The user interface is incredibly intuitive, and I can send as many ACH payments per month as I need to without worrying about being charged a fee. I'm also very happy that Nickel integrates with QuickBooks so I can categorize my transactions as I'm making payments. I've had very few errors/hiccups with Nickel, and when I do experience a technical error (i.e., unable to submit a payment because the first few words of the description match a different transaction), Nickel Support has been very helpful and quick to solve the issue. What I like best about Nickel is how simple and cost-effective it makes ACH payments for my business. I regularly pay contractors and vendors, and Nickel has made the entire payment process incredibly easy and user-friendly. I also really appreciate the QuickBooks integration. Nickel works seamlessly with QuickBooks, which makes bookkeeping, accounting, and payment reconciliation much easier for our bookkeeper. I used to use Quickbooks for Invoicing. They continuously went up on their prices every year and I suddenly realized I had paid close to $1000 just in ACH transaction fees on my invoices last year - by switching to Nickel I save that much money every year. Nickel is also better for the clients that pay me as well - they are immediately given the option to pay via credit card and pay the extra fee on my behalf or pay for free via ACH. With Quickbooks, I would have had to ask them how they want to pay and if they wanted to pay via credit card, I'd have to go back and add it to the invoice and send it back to the client. Now with Nickel, there's none of that back and forth. It's just a lot simpler. Plus, it still flawlessly connects to my Quickbooks so none of my bookkeeping is messed up with Quickbooks. Nickel has been a huge upgrade for my business billing. Unlike other platforms that charge monthly subscription fees regardless of usage, Nickel is completely free to use. It integrated seamlessly with my QuickBooks Desktop setup, making my workflow effortless. My clients love the straightforward payment process, and offering them the choice between ACH and credit card—with credit card fees automatically calculated and adjusted—saves me time on every single invoice. There really isn't much to complain about. Standard payouts can take 3 business days to clear, though they do offer faster processing options on their upgraded tiers. I am a small landlord. Nickel allows me to accept credit card payments from my tenants, and that simplifies rent collection immensely. Invoicing each month can be done by text, email or both and it is easy to automate in the GUI. My tenants appreciate the choice of payment options. I had no trouble setting the software up and was up and running without needing any onboarding at all. Processing times are fast and the revenue shows up in my bank account quickly. I'm still in the free tier, and I think there are some really great options for automation and integration that I haven't been able to experiment with yet. The only thing I'd like to see changed is the option to send automatic payment reminders. When it is time to send and invoice, I have to manually send and resend if needed. But this process is very quick and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It syncs with QBO like a dream! AND it's FREE! It's very intuitive and easy to use. I initially got excited about Nickel for its ability to help me pay vendors via ACH without all the fees. Nickel is simple and free to use. It allows my clients to fulfill invoices via multiple payment methods, some free, some with minimal fees, but some clients won't use my services if they are not able to use credit card, so this has been a huge help. I write invoices and have them sent to each client with a due date, this helps me know which invoices are overdue and which ones have been fulfilled, so I don't forget to collect a payment, like I have in the past. I would like a nickel app for iOS, so I can use it from my phone, easier. Another thing I would like is my contract terms have a 5% monthly interest after a net 60, so it would be nice if Nickel would add interest into the invoice, every month, after the net 60 term.
