It is read by a large number of people in the area and would seem to be a good place to advertise my business as I only do business in the immediate area where I live. I spent money to place an ad on NextDoor but the ad never appeared and it was only possible to find any mention of my company thru a search of the site. I asked my friends that live nearby and none of them saw an ad for my company. A complete waste of money! Also an extremely difficult site to navigate from a business perspective. I want to grow my business and advertise on NextDoor which I paid to do but no one saw the ad and my company was difficult to even find on Next Door. NextDoor makes it easy to communicate with people as well as receive reviews and recommendations. It's good if you are targeting a specific location/area and it's pretty cost-effective. It's not super easy to expand your reach outside of your immediate area, so if you're looking for business nationwide, for example, this is not going to be the best platform to do it on.
