It is a powerful application performance monitoring tool that provides real-time insights into the performance of applications, servers, and databases, it's allowing me to quickly identify and troubleshoot issues.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

One thing I dislike about New Relic is its user interface, which can be overwhelming and confusing, particularly for new users. The platform has a lot of features and options, which can make it difficult to navigate and find the information that you need.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides real-time visibility into the performance of our digital services, which can help me identify and troubleshoot issues more quickly and also helps me identify trends and patterns in customer behavior, which can inform our support strategies and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our support team.

  ### 3. Reliance tool to constantly monitor an application

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2023

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

I like the way new relic constantly monitors an application. It is straightforward to integrate in Java-based projects, especially with spring boot applications. New relic also provides secure way of monitoring by only supporting TLSv1.2

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

I can't think of anything which new relic needs to improve

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using new relic to monitor Spring-boot microservices and new relic is helping me to identify point of failure very easily. Apart from that new relic is also providing other data related to software performance which is helping me for further improvements

  ### 4. Easiest apm to set up and run

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anubhav M. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2023

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

The ease of set up was amazing. Just a few steps and I was good to go. Especially their documentation coverage on different systems is quite thorough.

The product is easy enough to understand and vastly improves observability

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

The documentation for advanced features is not that detailed. A bit more work on documentation like adding examples would really help.

This is only limited to documentation of advanced features though

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't have reliable observability in our infra and this made error reporting somewhat opaque for us.

Having new relic monitoring everything makes the identification and rectification really important for us.

  ### 5. New relic is best observability tool .

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eldad S. | Head of Cloud Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2023

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

APM tool has excellent visibility into the application; the infrastructure got very good in the last few years, but yet again the Application performance monitoring still is the best feature in the platform
also very easy to install and get up running

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

Log Management monitoring seems to lack some features, and it's not in the same level as the Application performance monitoring, in addition, lack of good support for incident response and management

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very easy to esplain , utilizing the Application performance monitoring allow us to shift left the monitoring into the developer's hands and let them deal with issues before they get to the production , and in production we can debug issues fast

  ### 7. Good Experience

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

The dashboards that you can build are useful.
The integration with k8 is good.
Custom metrics and integration with Prometheus are useful.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

The UI is a little complex. Sometimes is not clear there are a lot of things to see on the screen to interact.
The alert conditions are not clear on how it works.

  ### 8. Great SOT on site data and errors!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

My team focuses on NR as a data Source of Truth to compare with our own eventing data. This gives us a separate source built with separate data inputs, allowing us to find breakage in our traditional data pipeline.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

The NR interface is very complex, offering a lot of customization and dashboard creation. With this complexity comes a bit of confusion, as it can be difficult to find the data that we need or create new dashboards.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New Relic is solving this issue of Data visibility in our tech stack. We use NR as a separate comparison for our site data and to catch errors on the engineering end. New Relic gives us the high-level oversite on errors to tell us when a tag or new script may have broken something.

  ### 9. Reviews of newrelic

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deep C. | Devops engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2023

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

Newrelic is the best tool for monitoring the JVM metrics, like response time and infra health. And also help to manage the microservice's health and configure to alert metrics as convenient for the user to run infra smoothly.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

It's very costly, and the new relic has updated the new ui, where we cannot find the metrics by instance (JVM) wise to find out the root cause. Very delayed response time from the support team. Many times also find minor bug.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New relic is helping us find the root cause of service outages and take action before client impact. It's beneficial, and the most trustworthy matrics are the provider.

  ### 10. New Relic - best infra monitoring tool out there

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2023

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

New relic has so many features from api metrics visualization to infra time series data, rpm visualizations , alerts for critical conditions , nrql to visualise data as we need and many more features. One more great feature is the current trend vs historical trend which is provided in apm transaction dashboard

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

Since it handles a lot of data loading time is quite low and data beyond 1 month is not available as far as I know. Recently pricing was increased, and smaller companies share accounts to manage the costs. And its integration with spring boot doesn't provide an option to start our own transaction in AOP(aspect oriented programming - typically we wanted to write an annotation to track any method and log its time to new relic)

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Infra and application metrics visualisation are extremely important, and new-relic is providing good insights. In comparison to its open source alternatives like promethues coupled with grafana it provies more granular time series data, and nrql(New relic query language) very effective compared to any other query languages.

  ### 11. Pros and Cons of Using NewRelic

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asim N. | SDE, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

The good points about newrelic are:
1. Compact, clear, and understandable application overview
2. Real-time tracking and effective alerts
3. Code function level tracing with groups
4. Database latency tracing and each group tracing with respect to different actions

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

The bad points about newrelic are:
1. Not suitable to find RCA, but can tell you something is wrong, for example, it can't tell you which line of code is causing the problem
2. Dashboard customization options are not available
3. There are not a lot of metrics it tracks, it just tracks the important ones.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use New Relic for tracking the application metrics like latency, p95, p99, and mean time, and its dashboard is the first thing we track after any release. It can tell you when something goes wrong, it has alerting policies and can push alerts on the mail and even slack channels which is very useful.

**What do you like best about New Relic?**

Easy way to monitor the application metrics and see all the things in visual form on the new relic UI. The best part of it is that you can easily find all the reasons behind any production issue or slowness.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

The support system is also very poor, many times find issues in some APM monitoring and try to reach them to find the solution ASAP but it was not good as we expected. Newrelic new UI is very complicated, compare to the old UI.

It has robust integrations with other tools and platforms and can be combined with Azure and AWS to monitor all critical information end-to-end.

**What do you dislike about New Relic?**

Due to the many functions, knowledge is required for customization, and it is challenging to set important indicators and monitoring targets with the skills of engineers alone, so a wide range of expertise is needed if there is only one person in charge.

**What problems is New Relic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using it to monitor error performance in Our web application, you can quickly identify the cause of slow queries and check the error content on New Relic, which can be used for investigating the cause of errors and long-term performance tuning. I use it as a handy tool.

I like the representation of the information of the Application based on throughput, response time, external service, Error identification.
Also, the Error is so accurate with the printstacktrace that we can quickly figure out the issue without going through the application logs.
