Great solution for supply/demand planning needs **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Jessica R. | Director of Procurement, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2024 **What do you like best about New Horizon Supply Chain Planning Suite?** The efficiency of building orders and managing the demand planning on different levels (i.e. category, vendor, item level). **What do you dislike about New Horizon Supply Chain Planning Suite?** The system is not able to take shelf life into account. **What problems is New Horizon Supply Chain Planning Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** New Horizon helped us solve forecasting issues. We did not have the ability to forward plan efficiently before, or do any scenario planning. It has also solved our issues with manual PO planning, as we are now able to review recommended orders based on current demand and forecasted sales, as well as SS targets and vendor minimums. It has drastrically reduced the amount of time spent on issuing PO's. ### 2. We deal with a lot of transitions and changes with our customers and this provides us a quick solution to link items to each other and stop us from ordering something for a period of time without having to write it down somewhere and remember to manally remove it from an order. This has proven to be a significant time savings for our team compared to what we were using previously. **What do you dislike about New Horizon Supply Chain Planning Suite?** The only thing that I would call out would be the ordering of slow moving items. The tool does a great job with what it recommends for orders for 98% of the items we deal with, but with the real slow moving items, we find that we have to manually add these to the orders. **What problems is New Horizon Supply Chain Planning Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** New Horizon Supply Chain Planning Suite has significantly reduced the amount of time it takes to accurately place purchase orders. In most cases, it has reduced the time by over 50%. This has been a huge time savings and allows our emplyees time to do additional things they were not able to do before. It also has allowed us to grow as a comapny without onboarding additional employees. ### 3. It also contains so much information that can be extracted with ease in an Excel like platform so you can analyze your data any way you would like. Implementation was a breeze and only took approximately a month to complete with very few issues. When we did run into issues the customer support was very good and timely. Most times we would get answers to our questions within a few hours even if they were our own internal issues with multi-system integrations. **What do you dislike about New Horizon Supply Chain Planning Suite?** There are not too many things that I dislike except that when switching from screen to screen sometimes you will lose your spot on the previous screen you were working on. **What problems is New Horizon Supply Chain Planning Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** New Horizon helps us to determine our sales forecast and helps us plan our production schedule.
