Netstock has provided Becker's with an increased toolset to be used in the inventory management function. The main advantage has been the enhanced forecasting capability included within Netstock, and the visibility to compare the system-generated forecast to historical usage and make necessary changes. Netstock also expanded upon our ability to tailor inventory policies based on vendor and individual SKU, compared to generic ABC based inventory management policies. Moving from a traditional MRP-based system to Netstock was difficult for Procurement team members to grasp. The multitude of inputs and exception rules that could be applied was overwhelming and initially resulted in a loss of efficiency.
