We also no longer need to fear lease modifications and the re-calculations. NetLease has a very extensive list of reports. **What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?** Can't really think of any but one little thing is in relation to permissions. As an example, Netlease entries are a different type of Transaction Type (ie not "Journal" in Netsuite) so users are not able to drill into the details of transactions if they don't have access to NetLease permissions even though they are able to drill into Journals. **What problems is NetLease by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** We recently converted to IFRS and have to deal with IFRS 16. Even though we don't have many leases, it has nonetheless been a challenge for us to manage the accounting around it (especially the initial conversion/setup!). NetLease made it simple to set up leases for multiple subsidiaries and provided templates to upload lease data in bulk. The NetLease team was accommodating and very organized. Able to process leases under both ASC 842 and IFRS 16 for multi-book accounting which is a huge timesaver! **What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?** There are a variety of out-of-the-box reports that are super helpful but one thing we have noticed is that the reporting is somewhat real-time. Meaning even if you change the period of the report to a prior period, it will still reflect any modifications that have happened after that date. To solve for this we simply make sure to run the reports that we need as of every quarter-end, immediately following close. **What problems is NetLease by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously we were tracking 50 leases in an excel spreadsheet under both ASC 842 and IFRS 16. It quickly became very time consuming and difficult to manage. Having all of the accounting and lease information in one place is great. **What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?** This is more of a shortcoming of NetSuite than Netlease/Netgain, but the user interface is not great and there are so many text menus to surf through to get anything done. **Recommendations to others considering NetLease by Netgain:** This tool wouldn't make much sense if you're not already using or planning to use NetSuite. **What problems is NetLease by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're able to manage all lease payments, including CAM, OpEx, etc. in one place, rather than using multiple tools. The tool was built to maintain the look and feel of the system that the accountants operate in everyday. NetLease for NetSuite is so tightly embedded into NetSuite that many times users can't distinguish between native NetSuite and NetLease. So your team is able to leverage their existing knowledge of saved searches, the reporting engine and analytic tools to track the lease accounting data and build their own custom reports if they don't find exactly what they are looking for with our ~50 native reports. I also wanted to add that we have a full version of NetLease that can be leveraged by non-NetSuite organizations as well. I'm certainly biased, but I feel that the full version of NetLease has a beautiful interface that is streamlined and built for efficiency. ### 19. PROS: NetLease is embedded directly into our NetSuite so it eliminates the need for another sign on and other processes! This is by far one of the things that sold our team on this product. PROS: We had a few unique situations that we needed to consider modifications for; with NetLease we can modifications to lease life, ROU impairments and decrease in scope. These are so easy to make and don’t require complex spreadsheets outside of the system. PROS: Reporting!!! The reports are all extremely useful and make having backup to provide to shareholders & auditors so easy. NetLease’s reports can also be quickly customized to meet needs. **What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?** Cons: Nothing as of late. Everything is working fine, and any questions we have had have been addressed and answered right away. Integration with NetSuite is incredibly helpful and makes the accounting process for leases seamless. (2) Having a system to calculate the amortization schedules, process amendments, and view all journals directly makes our company's lease accounting clean and auditable. We don't have to maintain manual spreadsheets that are error-prone. (3) NetLease helped us transition from 840 to 842 very easily and with an audit trail. (4) Compared to other SuiteApps, the annual cost of NetSuite is very reasonable. It's by far the best money for time saved. (5) Customer service is great. Every time I have contacted support, they've reached out to me within about a day. **What do you dislike about NetLease by Netgain?** CONS: Some of the reports could be more customizable within the menu item. I usually have to save customized reports as a separate search/report. **Recommendations to others considering NetLease by Netgain:** For NetSuite users, I would highly recommend considering the value that NetLease brings by integrated into the system.
