I have a soft spot for NetBeans as it is the software I used when I first started programming. I particularly like how easy it is to learn how to use NetBeans and Java is a language that is easy to jump into. NetBeans is powerful enough for a lot of beginner programming needs and it was a good introduction for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the bland user interface and I feel like the graphics and aesthetics can definitely be revamped. I definitely think that more can be incorporated along the theme of Java/coffee (net)beans which will make the software appear more polished overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

NetBeans is a great open source product and the best part is that it's free. I first used NetBeans whenI started learning programming and it's very convenient and easy to use tool. I think Net Beans is the best because it has has pretty much everything you could ever need built in from the start and it also supports GIT. It also provides easy debugging tools and drag and drop feature for GUI development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The issue with NetBeans is that it takes a lot of time to load and consumes a lot of memory. Also, whenever I use Net Beans, it drains my battery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Netbeans is very easy to work with. The platform is pretty stable and upgrading is seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The number of plug-ins or 3rd party plugins might be low. Eclipse seems to have bigger 3rd party support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Netbeans allows the developer to concentrate on the tasks of development and not on as many aspects of configuration as similar environments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be a bit heavy when loading and I think that the part of the templates could be improved Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is free, very easy to use and very powerful when you know the basics. Lots of plugins available for programming on C, C++, Java, ... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slow startup on Windows and Ubuntu, but after the startup works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This software has been my savior I was finding some other software and it came out I found the reviews to be satisfying , uh the best thing about this software is that the JDK gets it running quickly. Also a number of pick and drop functions are always handy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The things that I dislike are somewhat functionality problems , low functionality obsolete controls Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
its very lightweight, I have used RAD which is comparatively complex and heavy weight. Netbeans is really handy for smaller application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
its not having much configuration options like Eclipse or RAD. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For a novice user, it is very well organized from being able to debug, test, build, have breakpoints. For an expert user, Netbeans is compatible with other software plugins and upcoming frameworks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has become obsolete as new IDEs have taken over due to their updated library packages and frequent software patches that are pushed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
