The fact that it has little help suggestions to help.you along if you get stuck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact it takes forever to load huge projects. I usually start a huge project in Netbeans snd when it gets too big I switch it over to another IDE Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best think I like from Netbeans is the price. It is free. So you have a complete Java development IDE for free and multiplatform. That is nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The problem of this IDE for me is things that I miss from other IDES. For example, IntelliJ has a powerful autocomplete. Netbeans don't have to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1) I dislike that when I change the name of a field, e.g., I want to change "name" below to "type", NetBeans IDE doesn't change the getters and setters!
2) NetBeans IDE has "word wrap" (NetBeans IDE 7.0),
3) there is not a professional IDE for PHP.
4)NetBeans IDE is a little bit slow to load.
5)Takes up more memory than lighter IDEs
6) Advanced tools and features require some training.
7) It has version control, and many other advanced tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Is a versátil tool, is a lightweight but powerful software to develop in programming languajes such as Java and PHP or JavaScript and HTML, you can complete features, adding plugins. All without destroy your computer like others more complex development enviroments. I recommend you to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
i cant say anything bad about it, because it was ok for everything that i needed, but i donk know every features of the program so i dont want to say anything that is not true Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Netbeans is a lightweight and very powerful IDE. Its use is very simple, it also has multiple frameworks and helps when it comes to programming.
It is perfect both to start programming, and for small and even medium-sized companies dedicated to software development Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For large projects, NetBeans is very short, since it costs a lot to load the projects and compile them. For this type of case it is better to use Eclipse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simplicity of use is the primary reason why I have stuck with Netbeans over the past few years.I like how Netbeans help auto-completes my code and suggests to me code snippets. Netbeans integrates with Git and supports most mainstream programming languages, therefore it rarely matters what programming language I code in ,NetBeans is my default software development IDE. Writing Java code with Netbeans consumes a lot of space ,in comparism with alternative development environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This was one of my first Java IDEs and I liked it more than other C/C++ IDEs I had been used to before. I like how it's free and well maintained. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's got a decent learning curve and is not very intuitive to pick up for a newbie. I'm not sure if it even supports Android Development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
when it comes to building core Java or Enterprise Java applications, no one can beat netbeans. I have been using Netbeans since quite a long time for Java and I feel it has acquired good features. Especially the inbuilt Glassfish and apache server facility. Also, the export and import is what i feel is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support for other languages is not that good. Although Java is what I use for coding primarily, for scripting there is not that good support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I personally like how easy it was for me to understand how to navigate through the program. Everything I needed was always out in the open and easy to access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like how plain and lackluster the program looks. Instead of only using brackets to determine which parts of code are in which parts of code, each different section should be colored in order to make it more obvious. Also, it would be nice if there were some visuals to look at instead of just seeing plain text everywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
