## Nerdio Manager Reviews
  ### 1. Streamlines Azure Management, Saves Costs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muaaz H. | Customer Support Agent Tier ll, Environmental Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

I find Nerdio Manager really easy to use for managing Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop. Instead of wrestling with the complicated Azure portal, I like that I can deploy virtual computers for our employees, manage their updates, and keep an eye on our cloud performance from a single, easy dashboard. The auto-scaling feature is a game-changer—it automatically wakes up computers as people log in for work and shuts them down when they log off, saving us a massive amount of money every month for the billing cost. What I like most is its cost estimator and unified management. The cost estimator tells us exactly how much it will cost per user, so there are no surprises on our bills. The unified management allows us to manage both personal and multi-session desktops in the same place without switching profiles. As an IT professional, I find the initial setup easy, as it turns hours of manual cloud configuration into a few simple clicks.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

I think they need to improve the dashboard interface because Nerdio Manager adds new features almost every week, and the dashboard can feel a bit crowded. They should categorize all the new features into different categories so we can find the tools easier. And, I think they need to fix the learning logic because while it's here, that raw concept requires you to understand the best networking and cloud concepts to set up the really advanced automation.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nerdio Manager to manage Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop easily, avoiding the complex Azure portal. It solves cost issues with auto-scaling, saving us money by automatically managing virtual machines. It turns hours of cloud configuration into simple clicks, providing a unified management dashboard.

  ### 2. Better control over virtual environments in daily work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xavier R. | End-user computing engineer, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

I like Nerdio Manager primarily because it enhances uniformity in my activities. Prior to its use, tasks were usually disproportionate and involved more manual verifications. Everything is more standardized now. The features make it easy to organize without any additional effort. It has altered my work attitude, as I no longer need to check every step twice to be sure of the predictable results.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

When the basic steps required to do something do not work as expected Nerdio Manager can be frustrating. The amount of features is good, but the positioning of features is not always user friendly. This translates to my daily work routine where I end up taking longer time to navigate than work.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This system aids in minimizing the level of repetition that is done in the management of virtual systems. Previously, I wasted much of my time repeating some actions. It is now more efficient and this saves energy on a day to day basis. It offers sufficient functions to ensure that tasks are well organised and it has enhanced my ability to handle responsibilities.

  ### 3. Clear structure for handling our daily virtual system tasks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Luis G. | Desktop Virtualization Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

The best thing about Nerdio is that it maintains our virtual desktop environment in an orderly and manageable manner. It assists in managing user access and system resources more in an organized manner. The quantity of features dedicated to automation and cost management is highly helpful. It is compatible in our cloud environment and minimizes the number of manual changes. This has enabled me to work more efficiently and with less stress in handling a number of users in my daily work.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

I dislike that certain advanced settings are not very intuitive, and thus can make the adjustments slow. The list of features can be daunting, particularly when searching certain features. This has also affected my job when I have to effect a quick change as it takes more time than anticipated.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nerdio Manager eliminates the issue of manually managing numerous virtual desktops. We wasted time in dealing with user setups one by one before we used it. Everything is now more organized and environments remain the same. This has enhanced user support and minimized on redundant work. My daily routine seems more structured, and I am able to concentrate on more significant problems rather than set up activities.

  ### 4. Nerdio Manager helps reduce repetitive admin work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aldona L. | Client computing engineer, Information Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

In my case, it is the best option since it enhances my resource planning and management among teams. I am able to regulate access by the user and the cost of management in a more organized manner. The features enable me to maintain consistency in the environment without overseeing them all the time. It makes me hopeful that things will work out as planned.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

One of the negative aspects I have observed is that some of the operations in Nerdio Manager are overly complex. It can be time consuming when I have to make some quick changes. This impacts my work since even simple tasks start adding extra effort. When I have to work with multiple environments, these delays accumulate and impact my productivity.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What I love is that Nerdio Manager corrects me in the number of redundant tasks I have to do when managing environments. I would spend a great deal of time altering settings by hand. Today I can count on the ready made rules to do routine jobs. That eases my work and relieves stress.

  ### 5. One Place for Inventory, Automation, Patch Management, and Remote Troubleshooting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ihor B. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

Using it I can look at all of the machines I am responsible for, what is installed on them, and what is occurring on them, all from one place. Before we had different systems for inventory, remote access, deployment, etc., so now we have one system. The Couch is comfy tonight so I spent some time playing around with the Automation. Patch Management alone will save our Team a stupid amount of time every Month. Take Control has worked well when it does work; it allows us to have multiple people troubleshooting the same machine without stepping on each other.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

Machines are listed as "Disconnected" when they are clearly not connected. I still do not understand why. We use another Remote Access Tool for these issues. This makes no sense since the reason we were looking for One Tool was to avoid using Multiple Tools. The Interface is a lot (a LOT) and it will be a little while before you feel your way out of the maze that is the interface.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have devices located throughout a wide area and this tool keeps everything organized into one place. Therefore we are not going blind trying to keep track of everything. With regards to patching, Customers will never patch their own devices and by doing it automatically this takes away that entire hassle.

  ### 6. Effortless Azure Integration with Powerful Features and Cost Savings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick B. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

Adds additional features to (in our case) Azure Environments. easy to understand and enables a repeatable process. Simple integration into existing environments or setup into new environments.

Great savings generated when non 24x7 type of resources are setup. Single pane of glass to view multiple Azure environments that utilize host pools, azure files, servers and networking.

Integrations with multiple identity platforms (even on-prem) for various use cases.

Support is great and helpful. Implementation is quick and simple.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

If not configured correctly, settings applied through Nerdio may conflict with scripts, registry entries, Group Policy Objects, or other policies. While this is largely a user-related issue, having visibility into any downstream overrides would be an extremely useful feature.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nerdio offers robust yet straightforward configuration options for auto-scaling, which help boost performance and lower costs. The intuitive tools make it easy to automatically stop and start resources that aren't needed around the clock, using different demand criteria. In our experience, this has led to Azure cost reductions ranging from 15% to as much as 80%, depending on the specific use case.

  ### 7. Ridiculously Easy Instance Creation and Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophia Z. | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

The process of creating and shutting off new instances is ridiculously easy to accomplish; I did not even need to consult a tutorial or manual. And while the couch is comfortable, and I was nearly asleep by the end of the onboarding process, I was able to complete the onboarding process easily enough; I consider this to be a positive indicator.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

This made me stressed-out, as I would sit there waiting for some type of notification, trying to guess how many credits I would consume. In addition to billing, the Dashboard would take a significant amount of time to populate with information. There is no warning system regarding Memory Thresholds - my application will simply stop working, and then I will find out later that it stopped working due to memory threshold limits.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary problem I needed solved was Servers without having to purchase servers. Utilizing Nerdio Manager also allows me to scale up to meet increased Traffic needs - rather than allowing the environment to simply fail. Nerdio Manager delivers the basic concept of scaling up, meeting increased demand, and scaling back down in a simple manner.

  ### 8. Structured administration of virtual workspaces across departments

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ingacio L. | Cloud network administrator, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

The largest benefit of Nerdio Manager to me is that it enhances the process of managing the cloud based workstations. Our IT department is engaged in deep work with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, and Nerdio fits into such ecosystem. I also like the automated option to provision desktops and control user permissions. It spares our administrators a lot of tedious work. Consequently, our department is not busy with routine set up activities, it is busy in providing assistance to employees throughout the company.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

One of the difficulties that I have had with Nerdio Manager is that some of the configuration options are hidden in several menus. In cases where our team has to alter desktop settings or environment rules, it is sometimes taking longer than anticipated to locate the right controls.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the case of our company, Nerdio is used to overcome the challenge of managing an online workforce of cloud-based workstations. Earlier on, it used to take various individual actions and systems to set up and maintain virtual desktops. Those are tasks that are better organized with Nerdio. Our IT team will be able to prepare employee environment more effectively and maintain configuration.

  ### 9. Nerdio Manager helps manage cloud workspaces for growing companies like ours

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simona C. | Cloud Desktop Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

My best experience with Nerdio Manager is that it gives us an order in our virtual desktop management. I am in charge of IT cloud operations, and the number of features can easier control user environments and schedule resources. The adoption was effective with Microsoft Azure and our company directory and so our team did not have to reassemble the existing processes. Because I use them all day long, it is much easier to have these management options on a single place.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

My biggest weakness with Nerdio Manager is that it can take time to have configuration rules about various users. Within our company, different areas of work would need different workspace configurations, and checking on these arrangements can at times slow my productivity. The flexibility of the number of features comes at the cost of additional administrative actions.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nerdio Manager is a solution to a major problem that we faced with taking care of employee desktops in the cloud. The process of provisioning and organizing virtual workspaces before it was adopted needed a significant number of manual steps. The number of features now assists us to organize the creation of the workspace and control the access of the employees more regularly.

  ### 10. Fast VM Deployment and a Single Interface from Any Device

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Malay P. | Chief Operating Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

Honestly I was impressed by how quickly it deploys VMs and builds machines; when you are supporting an organization with hundreds of desktops in many locations with various vendors, building machines quickly makes a difference. As someone who has supported customers for some time now, I have to respond to numerous customer support requests each day and being able to view everything through a single interface is really great. The ability to use the browser as well as access the system from nearly any device without installing additional certificates or software is a nice feature.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

The pricing for the license is very expensive, so small businesses should look elsewhere. Also, even though "requires strong network" is a clear requirement for a cloud product, it is still frustrating when applications will freeze after a Windows Update. Session Analytics has much easier to use filters, currently I feel like I need a manual to find the actual information I want. Additionally, the company seems to be constantly renaming their products - XenApp, Xendesktop, Virtual Apps & Desktops, and now Nerdio Manager.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Large organizations cannot afford to continually purchase physical computers every couple of years. This product allows large organizations to eliminate the need for this cycle. When a new employee begins, you create a VM for them and they can start working immediately. Employees that work remotely, employees that work hybrid, employees that work from anywhere, all receive the same desktop, same applications, same security. IT departments no longer need to manage individual machines, since everything is managed from a central location.

  ### 11. Better coordination of remote employee workstations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan L. | Cloud Operations Specialist, Civic & Social Organization, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

The aspect that I personally appreciate about Nerdio Manager is that it can be used to provide a predictable IT administration when working remotely. It is used by our technicians on every working day, and this is why there is high usage in our department. The feature count assists us in set up of conventional desktop settings, storage allocations, and workspaces of the company in line with the job of the employees.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

Despite the value of Nerdio Manager, on the whole, it has certain challenges that affect our work. In the implementation, we have established workspace policies with a number of client companies. The expansion of those organizations necessitated additional planning at times to make changes in policies. Given that we use it frequently, any minor changes in configurations would affect numerous desktops of the employees.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nerdio assisted in solving the problem of preparing the virtual workstations to allow working with remote employees. Prior to the implementation, we used to manually set up desktop environment of each new employee. The use rate has risen since the introduction of the platform since it has become our daily workflow in IT. The high number of features will help us to prepare standardized desktop environments and allocate them to employees at higher rates.

  ### 12. Efficient cost control for remote work environments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cezary S. | Senior cloud architect, Recreational Facilities and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

The greatest advantage of Nerdio is the financial insight and management of our cloud desktops. I open it every day to set capacity regulations according to the number of hours that the staff works. It has created a visible difference in our investment in infrastructure because of the many cost management features it offers. It was implemented through cross team planning and we had customer support when we were in need of the assurance on what best practices to follow in resource allocation.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

The limitation of Nerdio Manager is that certain advanced automation regulations demand very specific settings. The scaling settings were misaligned, leading to the consumption of unanticipated resources, thereby driving up the expenses at a certain point of implementation.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the issue of unpredictable cloud desktop costs and inconsistent workstation setups. Before adopting it, we manually adjusted virtual machines and often exceeded budget expectations. I now use it frequently to enforce scheduled usage policies and standardized images. The structured implementation improved collaboration between finance and IT. As a result, our team spends less time correcting configuration mistakes and more time planning infrastructure improvements.

  ### 13. Clear accountability and workflow in cloud environments

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wilhelm M. | Desktop virtualization specialist, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

The most notable thing about Nerdio Manager is that it enhances management and control of cloud based operations. All virtual machines and user assignments are visible and as such, there is reduced chances of mismanagement. The amount of features enables me to allocate tasks to every task and automate repetitive processes and ensure that the environment is well organized. Since it is applied in 24 hour shift, good operational discipline is reinforced and nothing falls through the cracks as it is applied all the time, which also coordinates the IT staff tasks much easier.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

One of the disadvantages that I can observe is that some of the more complex settings require additional attention to set up. The list of features is impressive, and they are sometimes complex to the extent that trial-and-error is needed to get them right. As we can use it often, there are several accounts or virtual machines that can be affected by errors. The cost control and budgeting functions might go further, which has sometimes slackened our financial strategizing and distribution of the cloud resources.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform meets the issue of having several virtual desktops and cloud settings that have to be maintained manually. In the past, provisioning machines and user assignments were time-consuming and were more likely to make errors. Most of the processes are now simplified and automated due to frequent use. Its built-in functionality will allow controlling access and keeping track of responsibilities. This has made work more efficient and enabled my team to focus on strategic projects instead of being preoccupied with the same administration duties.

  ### 14. Powerful Multi-App Virtual CPU with Ultra-Fast Connectivity and Secure Data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harrison L. | Cloud Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

It’s a very powerful tool, and I can really take advantage of its multi-application functionality. It gives me a high-end virtual CPU with ultra-high-speed internet connectivity, plus an operating system that’s integrated directly into the browser. On top of that, all my data is stored securely.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

My experience with the platform was very smooth, and I honestly don’t have anything to criticize. The servers were consistently up and running whenever I needed them. I also appreciate how accessible it is, since it lets me access all kinds of applications without any hassle.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to access websites while protecting my privacy, which is very efficient for someone with a low-spec system. It lets me bypass limitations to boost speed, helping me continue my work on different laptops and use all my development applications.

  ### 15. Effortless Policy Management for Multi-Tenant Administration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew G. | System Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

I really like that Nerdio Manager offers a central location where everything is available, making it easy to jump to multiple tenants and handle changes for customers. The policy management feature is especially important, allowing me to easily update Microsoft 365 policies and stage their deployment to minimize impact on customers. Also, their support and onboarding team is really helpful, doing a good job of walking you through the setup and ensuring everything is working as expected.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

Setup is a little tricky because it's done on a self-hosted Azure instance rather than being a traditional cloud-hosted application. It's not bad, it's just a little difficult.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nerdio Manager gives us a central location to access various tenants, allowing us to make changes to multiple tenants at once by applying a policy across all of them. This streamlines handling policies and administration for multiple Microsoft 365 tenants across all our clients.

  ### 16. Simplified AVD Management with Instant ROI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

I appreciate that Nerdio Manager helps manage AVD workloads at scale with simplicity and cost optimization. It does a lot of things that cannot be done in native AVD without the upkeep of many highly customized scripts, often paying for itself through the optimization it provides. With immediate access, it saves resources, time, and money, reducing the need for complex script development. The built-in automation removes the necessity for customers to build and maintain complex scripts, which saves time, reduces risk, and quickly drives cost optimization. I find the value in Nerdio Manager appears very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

It can be a bit overwhelming if customers are new to AVD or Azure, but that's to be expected with an enterprise tool like this.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nerdio Manager to manage AVD workloads at scale, simplifying processes and optimizing costs without complex scripts. It saves time, reduces risk, and offers quick cost optimization.

  ### 17. Simplifies Multi-Tenant Management with Room for Onboarding Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nic C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

I appreciate the single pane of glass that Nerdio Manager provides. It allows us to manage multiple tenants without having to switch between different accounts, streamlining our workflow by applying blanket policies across the board. Even though we are still onboarding, it's helpful to perform most of our job duties in one place.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

I think the onboarding process could be improved. Not sure if that's through Nerdio or through our distributor, which is Pax8. But, mostly it's learning the product and that initial sort of onboarding training was a little bit quick. Not as in-depth as we would have liked to have for a managed service provider.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nerdio Manager creates a single portal for managing multiple tenants, eliminating the need to switch between incognito modes and different accounts. It provides a single pane of glass to see all clients and their tenants.

  ### 18. Make Complex Dummy Proof

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

Nerdio helps our team simplify Azure, and it has become our go-to management tool.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

There are still areas of improvement needed and work to be done but the speed of development the team at Nerdio has shown its impressive no matter how you look at it.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to standardize our AVD deployments across our customer environments. This alone is a massive benefit of Nerdio.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

I can't say I dislike something. Most likely because NM is always a work in progress and there's a clear roadmap of updates (either coming or for researching).

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The big one is costs reduction. For techs, the simplicity therefor the low training curve on learning how to use NM versus learning Azure.

  ### 23. A Must-Have Force Multiplier for AVD Management and Cost Optimization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?**

Nerdio Manager is an absolute game-changer for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 management. The biggest standout feature is the intelligent auto-scaling. By automatically powering down unused VMs and switching storage tiers during off-peak hours, it drastically cuts down our Azure compute costs—often enough to pay for the Nerdio license itself.

Additionally, the single-pane-of-glass interface simplifies what is natively a very complex and fragmented Microsoft portal experience. The built-in automation for image management, scripted actions, and session host lifecycle management reclaims countless hours of engineering time. It also features great Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), which allows us to safely delegate basic session management and troubleshooting tasks to Tier 1 helpdesk staff without giving them full Azure admin rights.

**What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?**

The primary drawback is the cost. While it does save money on Azure consumption, the per-user or per-tenant licensing fees for Nerdio itself can be expensive, particularly for smaller deployments.

Additionally, because the product receives updates and new features so rapidly, the official documentation sometimes lags behind the current interface. Finally, while it lowers the barrier to entry for Azure, some of the more advanced configuration profiles and custom integrations still have a steep learning curve and require a solid foundational knowledge of Azure architecture to deploy securely and correctly.

**What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nerdio Manager solves the complexity and high overhead of managing native AVD and Intune environments. Without it, managing golden images, updating session hosts, and configuring auto-scaling requires maintaining complex, custom PowerShell scripts and ARM templates. Nerdio replaces that manual effort with a user-friendly GUI and automated workflows. This benefits us by significantly reducing the time it takes to provision new environments, eliminating human error in our deployment process, and ensuring our cloud spend is optimized and predictable.
