## Nearpod Reviews
  ### 1. Modern and intuitive digital learning platform.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffries M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

The systematic evaluation of the gamification 'Length to Ascend' is outstanding. I have used Nearpod in my physics class. It helped me learn more interactively where students could be communicating with the rest of the class from their Chrome book. I love to get it controlled or ride by the coach. I love that. It's also great for students who can't always see the main board in the classroom as they can either be the teacher or the beat on their own screens.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

The cost if you want to upgrade to complete materials, and some features that are not available in student-run lessons. Since it loads the presentation. I can't even show myself alone on the main board without internet. The free trial limits what software I can create. It hasn't let me use some of the functions I want.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

The best app / network I've ever worked with and still developed. With this program, not all lessons would be changed but many would. Specially easy to share in physics as a class. Had a better idea of what you want before you jump in. Know that there are drawbacks to jumping in and beginning to play with the options. Students would enjoy it and be learning with you. Make sure that you are using the technology for what you need. Do not be afraid if you are not sure to give it a try. You'll be taken aback. You'll be taken aback.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Engaging students as live or student-run workshops, as well as enhancing teacher professional development. Nearpod lessons are easy for the students to build and are very engaging. I worked closely with all my classmates, and engaged during the class in the lecture. Instead of asking individual students to share the whole class might participate and share. It also provided the conference with a bit of excitement, involving the students. That is completely perfect for students who work best in places where they can not see the screen. And keeping track of them is simple but then. It also offers students self-running lessons which may be quicker or take a little longer.

  ### 2. Go Nearpod!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I love that it's easy to engage my scholars this way! Many of my students dislike speaking via zoom or are really hesitant and struggle with confidence. This way, they can submit responses; I choose whether or not to show them to the class; and I can give them a shout out if they are on the right track. Students are actively participating again, like they would in the classroom! I also love that I can post a link for my asynchronous students as well.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I have none! The program is working very well and is easy to use for my students.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

You can actually share Nearpod with Zoom, they have made it fairly easy to integrate

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My students are actively engaged. I don't have to create two different lessons to reach all of my students, whether virtual or not. I also like that it helps me differentiate because students can move at their own pace. I can put students in breakout rooms if I want and discuss with each student as they progress through the assignment. Students can create within Nearpod also! That's a huge plus.

  ### 3. Great digital learning platform.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katelyn L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

In my Algebra I classroom, I have used Nearpod in some math lessons. It helped me to learn more interactively where students could interact from their Chrome book with the rest of the class. I love that the instructor can regulate or ride this. I love that. It is also perfect for students who can't always see the main board in the classroom as it can still be on their own screens and be the teacher or pace.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

It's not an choice often. Often, even though the presentation is loaded, our internet is useless. Without the internet, I can't even present alone on the main board. The free trial limits the software I can do. It didn't allow me to use some of the features I want.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

With this software not every lesson would be improved, but many could. It made sharing particularly easy in mathematics as a class. Before you jump in, get a better idea of what you want. Remember that BUT jump in and start to play with the options are limitations. Students are going to love it and work with you. Make sure you 're using this technology with what you need. Don't be afraid to try if you're not sure. You will be shocked. You will be shocked.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I interacted nearby with all my students and took part in the lesson throughout the entire class. The entire class could contribute and share instead of asking specific students to share. It also brought a little atmosphere to the lecture and engaged the students. I used it with a "Transformation feature" lesson and the student wrote the transformation from their Chrome book and moved it as a class. For students who work best in areas where you can not see the board, that is absolutely wonderful. And it's easy to keep track of them, but then. It also offers self-paced lessons for students who could be quicker or take a bit more time.

  ### 4. Nearpod for Next Generation Teaching

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian M. | eLearning Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

Nearpod is changing the way we teach and learn. The platform continues to break new ground and has a unique set of features which excel when used to meet learning outcomes. It can be used in any many applications across the teaching and learning portfolios and should be explored in all types of education.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

Nearpod only seems to be advertised for the younger students which tends to put staff training and higher education left out. However, the product is excellent across all age groups and there is a lack of acknowledgement on their advertising.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

It has so much to offer once you understand how to change your teaching style.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have started to engage staff across the Faculty to begin to teach differently and to be able to move away from traditional lectures using PowerPoint.

  ### 5. Emulates the classroom environment closer than any other teaching tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris D. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

Nearpod allows me to give vocal lectures to my students while also showing them well-organized presentations as I would in a real classroom environment. It also allows me to quiz students on the lecture, and give them fun activities to do which in my personal experience always helps students learn. I also really like that many lectures are made by the community of teachers on Nearpod. It feels great to support them, and to contribute to many other teachers who are looking for lessons to engage their students. I really enjoy giving my students lectures that they enjoy, and it makes me feel good that despite the circumstances that the whole world is going through right now, they are still able to enjoy learning.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

The user interface could be better, and there is no way for me to make sure all my students have done their assignments. I would like integration with google classroom as that would make it much easier to manage what my students are doing. Their programs are also a bit expensive, and it would be nice if the price was reduced slightly as everyone has taken a bit of a hit due to recent circumstances (also I work at a public school).

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

I would recommend them not to use Nearpod as an assessment software, as there are much better options out there for that, however, if they are looking for a way to engage their students and get them excited once again about learning over this rough time for everyone.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nearpod has allowed me to get closer to my students than with any other e-learning solutions. The built-in quizzes are wonderful to have, and my students have told me that the fun activities Nearpod offers lightens lots of the stress on them that has come since schools were closed. I have recommended Nearpod to lots of my colleagues, and they have enjoyed it as well, a friend of mine told me that she no longer has to deal with the stress of uploading 5 files to her google classroom a day, as she can now do all she was doing before in Nearpod.

  ### 6. Neat, helpful with lots of kids

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela H. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I love that this can be self paced or teacher controlled. It's also great for kids that can't always see the main board in the classroom since it can be on their individual screens and still be teacher or individually paced.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

It's not always an option. Sometimes when our internet goes out even if the presentation is loaded already it is useless. I am not even able to present just on the main board without internet.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Have a good idea of what you want before you jump in. Realize there are limitations BUT jump in and start playing with the options. The kids will love it and will work with you. Just be sure this technology will help you with what you need. If you aren't sure do not be afraid to give it a shot. You'll be surprised.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is absolutely awesome for kids that work better in spaces where they can't see the board as well. This makes it easy to keep them on track but in their own place. It also allows for self paced lessons for those kids that might be faster or need just a bit more time.

  ### 7. New learners.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annette O. | ELA 11 &12 Teacher

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

The ability for students to learn at their own pace. The videos and premade lessons.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

With no instruction from where I work, I had a hard time adapting the students as the students enter from different devices and it takes a while to help them sign in- activate etc..

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Once I get students to adjust, they seem to like them.

  ### 8. Turning a Math Lesson into an Interactive Activity for Students

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa S. | Mathematics Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I have used nearpod in a few math lessons in my Algebra I classroom. It helped me make a lesson more interactive, where students could interact with the rest of the class from their own chrome book.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I have only used the Free Trial version, which limits what I can do with the software. It did not allow me to use some of the features I would have like to.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Not all lessons would be enhanced with this software, but many can. Especially in Math, it made sharing as a class easy to do

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nearpod allowed me to interact with all my students, and involve the entire class in the lesson. Instead of calling on specific students to share, the entire class was able to contribute and share. It also added some humor to the lesson, and kept students engaged. I used it with a lesson on "Transformations of Functions" and student drew the transformation on their chrome book, and then we scrolled through them as a class.

  ### 9. Awesome app for teachers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary Erica A. | Technogy Integration Leader, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

Nearpod is an interactive program that lets students navigate what you have on the board instead of having it frozen for the kids to stare.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I dislike the limit on free storage. I hate that there is a cap and I have to pick and choose what to keep. There should be a separate storage for purchased items and generated items that are free.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Student engagement for sure. Students are not bored and they have no time to be distracted because what shows on your dcreen can be shown in theirs; unless it’s a video that you want to be played on just your screen. Love the 360 degree feature! Taking kids to virtual field trips to places they have never seen before is an added bonus. You actually feel immersed. I really like that many programs can be integrated to NearPod. Sway, Powerpoint, Youtube can be added within.

  ### 10. Easy to use.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

The interactive features are the best features of Nearpod. The findings can also be communicated directly to the audience. These provide different forms of query to track comprehension. Various presentations with a paid membership are available at the branch. You can add games too. It is very user-friendly, intuitive and custom-made, very reliable, fast and convenient, as it takes less time to learn and work. This tool's providers are very reliable and react rapidly and collapse.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

Presentations in near-pod can be difficult to do with several interactive apps. Some of the interactive components, such as games, often lag behind, which may cause frustrations to participants. Other people I've worked with found

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Very positive and optimistic about my job by teaching and would also recommend that others use it to achieve better outcomes. It is very intuitive and enhances teacher-student communication.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enhances the overall participation of students. It is difficult for them to argue that if the material is placed right in front of them, they can not see or are left out. I think it gives the students more lead in their learning than the teacher who present all the content. Students are active in the lesson with Nearpod.

  ### 11. Make Presentations more collaborative and engaging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

Nearpod is incredibly easy to use. There are many features that make engagement easy--collaboration boards, live polls, and easy ways to embed web content. It is also easy to edit--it just requires an add on. It is easy to do both live and self-paced presentations.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

It can feel clunky when it comes to editing Nearpods--you must open up the actual base slide deck and the add-on extension. It would be nice if you could edit directly in Nearpod itself to make it easier to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

I would recommend using Nearpod for increasing engagement with both students and adults! It makes collaboration easy.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nearpod helps us to make it easier for students and teachers to collaborate. It also makes adult presentations more interactive and collaborative.

  ### 12. Great classroom resource

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie S. | Computer Science Teacher, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I used Nearpod for the first time to show a presentation on Digital Citizenship. It was great to be able to incorporate polls and questions within the presentation.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

The only thing I didn't like was it wasn't very easy to edit the presentation after I started the live presentation without losing the class code.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NearPod allows me to create a presentation and have an interactive class in one location.

  ### 13. Nearpod Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I love that it is very interactive. Students are able to answer survey questions, add gifs to a screen, and all see responses right away. I also like that has an anonymous component. So students don't have to share their names. This helps improve participation especially with students who may be shy to participate. Lastly, I love that students can join with a code and don't have to download the app.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I wish the silver user had more options in terms of the type of slides we can create. I know that paying for the higher account would help with that but it starts to get expensive. I think the reports for the polls can be explained better.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

That it's a great tool if they are looking to make their class interactive and to increase student participation.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to improve participation in my classes something that I always had an issue with. Since students can participate anonymously I'm notcing more are willing to participate. I also am making a class (like PS1) that would normally be considered boring to students a lot more fun and interactive.

  ### 14. A must for distance learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Desa J. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

The best part about Nearpod is it gives some sense of a "real classroom" back to the students. You are able to present a slide show that can be student paced or you can lead them through it virtually. The part that sends this tool over the top is the fact that you can implement interactive components on each slide. There are questions, drawings, collaborations, polls, and games. My student's love Nearpod just as much as I do. You have to ability to deliver brand new content or use it as a review.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

It is hard to think of many complaints. My one thought would be to update the race games to become more appealing to an older age group of students. A few new backdrops for the collaboration slides would be great as well.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to use Nearpod to watch my students work with information right before my eyes even though we are separated. It also gives the kids a sense of community because they are interacting with one another like they would in the real classroom setting.

  ### 15. Best Engaging App

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

The features and the Flocabulary and Flipgrid integration speak for itself. The 360 virtual field trips are amazing as well as asking questions on the fly and Google Slides integration. It let you create in Nearpod and also Google slides. If you have existing Goolge slides you an save them as Nearpods as well.
The gamification formal assessment 'Time to Climb' is great

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

The cost if you want to upgrade to full content and some features not available in student paced lessons

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Best app/platform I worked with and always evolving

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Engaging students as live sessions or student paced as well as streamline PD with teachers.
Nearpod lessons are easy to create and very engaging to students

  ### 16. Implementing the Interactive

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

NearPod creates the possibility for multimedia presentations to have an interactive component.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

NearPod has a user-friendly interface but has quite a learning curve in comprehending the different features it has.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am making multimedia presentations more interactive for students during their classes.

  ### 17. Great tool for middle school students!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashleigh N. | Educator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I used this platform when co-teaching middle school. I thought the interactive lessons that can be guided by the teacher were fantastic! It was very engaging for students with a variety of types of assignments, instruction methods to both accommodate needs of different learners while keeping them interested.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I felt that at times navigating the site and setting up a class activity as you wanted was somewhat confusing - but this could also be attributed to the fact that my co-teacher did most of the organizing of the lessons and I just need more experience/practice with it!

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Play around with it a bit before implementing to get a good feel for how to run it!

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Students are much more engaged in lessons on Nearpod than without, you can easily help self-pace the students who need it while also supporting individual students.

  ### 18. A fun interact way for kids to learn.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matti H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I like that the kids get to interact with the lesson that they are doing.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I can be very confusing for the kids to join the lesson.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My students can't figure out how to join the lesson.

  ### 19. Great Features for Formative Assessments in Lessons

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina G. | ELA and Math Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I like the ability to integrate different types of questions within a lesson and/or slideshow.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I’ve always had issues with the integration of a Google slideshow into the actual Nearpod. I wish that was more user friendly

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Definitely take the time to fully understand the software before trying to use it live with students. Try it out to see what it looks like on their end as well.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is great for distance learning as well as using technology in the classroom not just for teaching support but to collect formative and possibly summative assessment data quickly.

  ### 20. Nearpod is a great way to have visual lessons and share with coworkers.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joanne R. | Special Education Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

Nearpod can be visual and interactive if desired. It can also be a slideshow. Coworkers are able to share lessons and idea if teaching common subjects, classes or lessons.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

The only downfall is that it is another third party app and not within Gsuite.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing common curriculum

  ### 21. Easy, clear, and a plethora of options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haley C. | English Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I love how many free resources there are, including the features available with the free version!

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I dislike the amount of space included in the free version, but everything else is so easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

If you want to amplify lecture heavy lessons, this greatly increases engagement.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized how easy lessons are with the platform in distance learning. Students can go at their own pace, you can watch their progress, and get data on how students are doing.

  ### 22. Standards-aligned, interactive engaging lessons

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I like that the lessons can be aligned to standards and edited to mee the unique needs of students. Teacher can provide real-time feedback to students to drive engagement and provide differentiated and leveled instruction. Lessons can be delivered live (teacher controls the pace) or at student's pace.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

Slides are not always easy to view on mobile devices like cell phones; codes expire after 30 days, which means that the new code must be provided to students looking to revisit the assigned Nearpod

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Nearpod is a fun change-of-pace for delivering instruction and can be used across all content areas.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nearpod helps to drive student engagement by providing live, teacher-paced lessons. Because lesson content can be provided in several different ways, instruction can be differentiated to meet the needs of all students. Lesson content can also be modified to provide supports for student who need them. Students enjoy the interactive and technological nature of the lessons and can access them via their cell phones or tablet devices.

  ### 23. Teacher's and students friendly app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

The navigation and added lessons in the library are one of the best designed lessons for students to engage in class.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

Nothing as such. But making it more user friendly will help

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

If you are looking for fun based learning in your class then use this app

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using it for Classroom teaching and for maximum participation of students.
This app has helped the students to broaden the horizon of their perspective.

  ### 24. Easy multimedia interactive classroom instructional and feedback tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonio R. | Elementary School Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

Nearpod isn't going to replace assessment tools but it comes pretty close. From embedding 360 degree virtual pictures to videos and other content to getting immediate feedback from my students Nearpod is a great asset. Using it on an iPad makes for an even more immersive experience but a PC is fine for most applications.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

Sometimes it will give errors when multiple students are logged in. I also would like to see the option to build my classroom so they don't have to enter a class code every single time we use it.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

If you are using a free account you are limited in how much you can store but it is still worth it. There are ways around it.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Nearpod improves overall student engagement. It is hard for them to claim they can't see or are being left out when the content is being delivered right in front of them.

  ### 25. Great for whole class involvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I really love having access to all of the lessons that are already made - it makes planning super easy! But it also really easy to create your own, as well. My favorite part is that many functions require every individual student to respond in some way, whether it is a poll, drawing, short answer response, or quiz. It takes an average lecture into one where all students are a part of the lecture!

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

My school used to have the premium edition, my new school does not. Unfortunately, it is too expensive for me to afford by myself.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Even with a free membership, there are many features you are able to use!

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaffolding, student involvement, I realize how before I would only get responses from a few students, and now I see the entire class participating!

  ### 26. Nearpod - excellent site for learning and reviewing content material

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

That you can integrate the online tools you are already using in class, like Google classroom and others.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

Well, It's another platform to learn and they all start to run together after a while. Especially during this work from home thing.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very unteractive and it helps me get a better picture about what my students can do in Spanish.

  ### 27. I love Nearpod!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

With having a district login, I love being able to use lessons that have already been created. I also love that when I create a lesson I am able to share it with others. It is very engaging and students love when I show their work on the board for the class to see. It creates a slight competition for all students to do their best work.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I wish it was more Chromebook friendly. All the features are great and easy to use on the iPads, however the drawing feature is difficult for students to use on a Chromebook/laptop.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

When beginning create your presentation in google slides or power point, then upload the slides into Nearpod.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Students are actively engaged in the lesson with Nearpod, I feel it gives the students more of a lead in their learning than the teacher presenting all the content.

  ### 28. Easy tool for accessing students details .

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben B. | Lecturer, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

User intuitive and customized very reliable fast and convenient, it is very easy to to use since requires less time to learn and operate .The vendors of this tool are very reliable and response quickly for and breakdown.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Very amazing and superb in my work by making my work as a teacher and therefore would suggest it to others to use it for better results.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to fully access the details of larger number of students in just a few minutes and saves on time to attend to class for the normal lesson.easy management of the class day to day duty class work,am able to check on the progress of my students and this helps them find deviation or some improvements.

  ### 29. Helps transition lessons without recreating the wheel

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

How user friendly it is and how it has so many interactive storybook include in lessons. Students forget they’re learning!

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

That it doesn’t sync with google or anything, so when it comes to grading via the reports if someone didn’t put their real name or misspelled it can be hard to identify. I also don’t like that you can’t edit a nearpod without resetting the codes. I also wish we could set our own end dates for nearpod lessons.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Implementing blended learning in the classroom without reinventing the wheel. I can adapt current resources I have to use seamlessly. Making lectures a thing of the past!

  ### 30. Nearpod Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

The amount of interactive content available covering a wide variety of subjects, from college access to English and other miscellaneous things. I also enjoy being able to import google slides into near pod as well.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

The interface could be a little more engaging and there should be some more virtual reality options for college tours, so students get to explore a wider variety of schools.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating more engaging presentations that push students to really pay attention to the material. Working in a cyber environment it's hard to get students to participate actively so having this platform as a resource helps tremendously.

  ### 31. Slides That Guarantee Engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariah D. | Intervention Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

The best features of Nearpod are the interactive features. It includes several different question types to check for understanding and results can be posted live for the audience. Many presentations are available in the bank with a paid membership. Games can also be added.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

Nearpod presentations can be tedious to make if you are using several interactive features. Other users that I have worked with have found that some of the interactive componenets, such as the games, often lag, which can create frustrations for those participating.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nearpod is a great alternative to traditional slide presentations. I find that students are far more engaged in the materials presented.

  ### 32. Interactive Total Participation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

As an educator, Nearpod is my favorite tool for whole group and small group instruction. I control student screens, and All students are required to participate, not just the same volunteers over and over again. It had a variety of tools and options for increased engagement.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I wish nearpod was easier to collaborate with others on. Things can be shared, but not interactively collaborates upon.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nearpod allows me to provide instant feedback and to formatively assess users of all learning styles.

  ### 33. Nearpod, a more versatile option than PPT

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

What I like is that this allows anyone's laptop of mobile phone to become a medium where a presentation can be delivered.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

It doesn't have the sophistication that other computer presentation applications have, but that it can import PPT is a plus.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As with most cloud-based solutions, that one must always be online to use the platform does create a barrier. Using PPT and importing is the main solution.

  ### 34. Nearpod

I love the ability to create and monitor classroom activities through polls

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

This app has made it a lot easier for trainers/instructors to monitor what’s being learned, cutting down on classroom time, creating more engagement and inviting more conversation

  ### 36. Great interactive classroom tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I love that the program can be used in a variety of ways, so it works for both whole group instruction or independent work. It is also very interactive and is a great way to use technology that is beneficial to students. I like that there are pre made lessons so if you want something quick, you may be able to find an activity that does not need any preparation.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

My main complaint about this software is that you definitely need an introduction by somebody who has used it before to be aware of all of the options you have and how to best make it work in your classroom.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Take advantage of the online workshops/tutorials!

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It tracks scores of students when the assessments are created through the software, and

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I wish I could change the colors, backgrounds, font, etc more than allowed.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

Ease of use, student engagement immediately increased, fun and different.

Adds a lot to stale content.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

Pricing for lessons, it seemed inconsistent and it wasn't always clear what you were getting as a resource.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps the classroom engaged, allows for excellent review of difficult material in a fun way.

  ### 42. Great interactive tool for college programs

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

I love the collaboration feature. It's an awesome way to have students contribute to a conversation by posting an answer or a picture. I also love that there is n option to approve comments before they post.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

The ppt option is a but plain. I wish there was options to add transitions or cool sound effects. I also wish there was a way to add fun background music to the interacive slides.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

It's a great tool for engagement and gathering strong data if needed.

Nearpod offers an interactive and visually stunning platform for asynchronous or synchronous learning in a classroom environment. Nearpod is user friendly for all parties, and can be used on students of all ages- children and adults!

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

Many features and products are tiered by price and subscription, with the most useful and interactive features saved for their highest paying customers.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

I recommend users to fully utilize the free content offered on Nearpod. You can save pre-created lessons to their personal library. From their, they can edit and customize that lesson to fit their student's needs. My suggestion is to get a subscription for your school district so that teachers can fully utilize all features without any limitations.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nearpod provides a way for students to learn content in a new and fresh environment in the classroom. It has the capabilities to assign lessons to individual learners to be completed asynchronously.

  ### 45. good tool for teachers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathalie B. | Teacher and responsible EdTech, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I like the fact that the presentations can be used in class, teacher paced and set as homework. There are a lot of different activities and even links to websites. I can see the children's work and share it with the class (anonymously) to discuss it. There is a large library with teacher created resources you can use. All your presentations are stored in your private library and can be copied and edited. Login is easy for the students.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

It is not very cheap for a whole school.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

I think that teachers who like technology and who have mobile devices in class should give it a try. The students like this different way of teaching a lot. It has a lot of possibilities and a big library of existing resources.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The students like working with it, it changes from everyday teaching.

  ### 46. Fantastic assessment tool

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

The ability to add in fun, interactive activities to keep kids engaged.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

The Gold features are somewhat pricey if you miss out on a sale window.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Spring for Gold. The added storage alone is a must.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I went from using PowerPoint to do lectures with students and now Nearpod allows me to transport in that information, but also add in fun activities like matching games and fill in the blank readings that keep kids interested in the material.

  ### 47. Nearpod Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ann C. | Clinical Assistant Professor, OTD Experiential Director, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

Nearpod is user friendly and I believe it is free depending on which edition you choose to use. I use the free Silver edition. You can create slides (similar to those in PowerPoint), import slides from a file that you've already created, add photos, and add audio. You can insert images or websites via hyperlinks. The best part is that you can also create quizzes and polls right in your presentation and the audience can respond via their phone, tablet, or lap top.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

It can be time consuming to import slides that you've already created, and with anything, can take some time to get used to where all the tools are located. I haven't had too many formatting issues when importing slides from PowerPoint, but most of my slides are pretty basic. I'm not sure how animation (such as fly-ins) transfer into Nearpod.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Give it a try! It's definitely helpful if you include questions/polls into your current presentations to elicit audience feedback.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nearpod to increase my use of technology in the classroom. I used to use two different formats for presentations and for quizzing/polling my class, toggling back and forth between the two platforms. I am now able to combine those two things (content and review questions or elicit feedback/participation along the way) very easily and increase participation in the classroom. These days, it is hard to get students to put their phones and tablets away, but if you incorporate them into their learning, it helps keep them engaged and decrease the urge to check their phones throughout class.

  ### 48. Good for education interaction

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I love that it keeps students engaged with the content.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I dislike that you have to click "take notes on current slide" each time or else you can accidentally be taking notes on the wrong slide.

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Classroom polling and engagement. Immediate instructor feedback.

  ### 49. Interactive Presenting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura J. | Teacher Candidate, Primary/Secondary Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2017

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

I like that Nearpod has both the presenter mode and the self guided mode. This way, I can either move my students through the presentation as a whole group, or they can be assigned to move through the presentation (and any quiz questions) individually, at their own pace. I also like that quiz questions can be embedded into the presentation and that the program collects and organizes student data.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

I think that the editing platform is a little clunky and not terribly user-friendly. Coming from using SMARTNotebook or Google Slides, it's a little less easy to totally customize your presentation.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Search the library of already created presentations to save yourself time!

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nearpod helps me teach my class new concepts in a more interactive way, rather than just sitting and listening. Students are held accountable to what they learn through quiz questions interspersed in the presentation.

  ### 50. Great presentation tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda B. | 4th Grade Teacher, Primary/Secondary Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Nearpod?**

Nearpod makes it very easy to present information and have everyone stay on track.

**What do you dislike about Nearpod?**

At this point, there is nothing I dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Nearpod:**

Take the time to learn all of the features

**What problems is Nearpod solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I know that students are at the same point during a lesson because I control how quickly they advance. I also like the tools that students have available to show their thinking.
