Having decided to transition from SQL Server I missed the tools available. I initially evaluated PG Admin, which I found to be slow, and OmniDB. Some of the other tools I quickly looked at lacked the debugger. I thought that Navicat was significantly better than both PG Admin 4 and OmniDB and offered a great value proposition. Navicat is simple, Navicat is the ultimate database manager to control all our information in a simple and fast way. It is powerful, capable of reading databases in MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB among others, the handling and creation of tables is quite intuitive and it is possible to execute Query statements to bring all the data we need quickly. The syntax is excellent and it is possible to save queries to edit them later. It is also possible to create direct procedures in the database, to be executed from any project being created. It is an indispensable program for the control of the database that is required. In that time, it has become my preferred database management tool. I really appreciate that it lets you connect to multiple DB vendors simultaneously. It makes it really easy to compare databases, synchronize data, as well as migrate data between DBs. Beyond that, the user interface is quite nice. I do agree with other reviewers that the price point put Navicat Premium in the realm of professional products, but, seeing as I am a professional developer, the price seems perfectly in line with similar professional products. It also works with cloud databases like Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon Redshift, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, MongoDB Atlas and Huawei Cloud. I have been using it for several years now, and it is my favorite DB tool. Not only does it work equally well with all of the above databases, but what it does best is migrate data between different vendors' products. Normally, you have to dump database data to a text format such as an. sql or .csv file and then import it into the destination database.
