Using Navicat Premium we can import a huge amount of file data into a database table without any lag this is the awesome feature of this application that I like very much. This is a paid tool, you can only use the 14-day trial version of this application and then after you have to purchase a licensed version to use further this application this is little bit disappointing for me. The best thing about Navicat is that it can connect to many different types of SQL databases. Personally, I use it for MySQL and Oracle databases and it is super easy to work on them. Sometimes Navicat needs a manual refresh to see all the changes. This is especially time-consuming when you need to add many tables in a short period of time. I think that the best part of Navicat is that shows all table data right away. With only few clicks you can edit and commit changes to the database. This is its strongest side. In addition to this, Navicat easily integrates itself with almost any SQL applications. In my case, I use it on the MySQL database and its works flawlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Navicat Premium? I think the speed is its biggest weakness, its biggest competitor, DataGrip, performs much better because by default it does not show all the table data and specific SQL queries are needed to make changes in Databases. Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) 12/12/2019 "Best Database Tool Out There" 5/5 What do you like best about Navicat Premium? I want to start my review with a bit of my background. My formal programming and database management training dates back to the early 90s and I used very little of those skills for many years following university. In 2014 I took on the management/development responsibility of a not for a profit website. Needless to say I was more than rusty and the search began for a tool that was easy enough for a beginner and still powerful enough for advance DB management. In 2015 I found Navicat and my life went from sinking fast to success over night. There was nothing like it at the time and bet there still is not. I haven’t looked elsewhere as there is no need. In less than an hour I was set up and had fixed problems in that evening that would take days without this great tool. It was so easy to use I almost couldn’t believe how fast I could fix things and I found myself going to the site to verify things were corrected. They were. I had to move our site several times since then and Navicat made that process very easy as you can open several databases on many servers at the same time and work between them seamlessly. I use Navicat almost daily now for everything from backups to table maintenance and everything between. Navicat is a tool I will not live without. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Navicat comes with great features for beginners to seniors and is a well designed and thoroughly functional SQL client. This, in addition to stability and reliability is what sets Navicat apart from the rest. The last thing you want is a database client throwing a fatal error the moment you run your formulated and carefully constructed query. The design is professional and logical, being able to filter records with ease is great and the additional tools are make like a whole lot easier. Especially the Server Monitor. Taking the time to explore Navicat and learning it's shortcuts adds to the experience. If you don't mind paying a very reasonable price for a great product, Navicat is the DB Client for you. Having to comb through School Curriculum tables to try and determine why some pupil somewhere has some minute discrepancy on his report card and thus having to analyse his subjects, assessments, tasks, and marks while keeping track of register class info, teacher info, etc, is daunting and time consuming.
