I really appreciate how Nava Benefits takes a more personal approach to benefits management and strategy, helping us map out a wide range of options and highlighting the significant impacts from an employee standpoint. They help ensure our benefits remain affordable for both our organization and employees, and their support team is fantastic at resolving complex benefits billing or coverage issues. They are an extension of our benefits team, supporting employees, developing communication materials, and driving annual compliance. Their experts have deep applicable knowledge from their backgrounds, which truly impacts how they support us. The Nava HQ app is really helpful for our internal team to quickly find information, create resources, and handle benefits communications.

**What do you like best about Nava Benefits?**

I appreciate that Nava Benefits is an immediate resource for any employee-facing issues, which is crucial for us to handle things quickly. They are also very responsive to backend issues with our main medical provider or any auxiliary items. I like their assistance in preparing reports, reconciling, and confirming everything is in order, both for employee-facing and backend processes, which saves us time to focus on our employee programs and other support initiatives. I find value in their virtual trainings, especially during open enrollment periods, where they've consistently guided us successfully. Nava Benefits makes it easy to rely on their expertise and be timely with next steps. The ease of working with their staff and getting timely solutions is what I like most. Their customer service-focused and technology-driven approach is outstanding. I also appreciate how easily the Employee Navigator integrates with our payroll system, and I like that our employees can easily access their information and support through the Nava Benefits app.

We do not have any complaints at this time.

We chose Nava because they were technology facing and offered online and app resources our employees would respond to, and because the team we work with from Nava is so reliable and easy to reach, and lastly because they were able to explain every detail, and option, and walk our operations team through every process we had questions about. If you are looking for a broker that is tech centric, cares about your experience, and is available and knowledgeable, you are in the right place.

Nava Benefits quickly resolves employee-facing issues and back-end problems with medical providers, giving us more time for employee programs. They prepare reports and ensure our systems are accurate, which helps us rely on their expertise.

My service team is excellent. They’re responsive and professional, and they stay solution-oriented in how they handle requests.

There has been some turnover, but the team has overcome all issues, and that hasn't impacted the level of service we receive.

Make sure you have a good and open relationship with your broker.  They must understand your company's culture and long-term strategy.

**What problems is Nava Benefits solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My Nava team has helped me create a long-term benefits strategy that keeps my employees' well-being and makes our company an attractive place for people to join.  Our benefits have become a key part of our retention strategy.

**What do you like best about Nava Benefits?**

I really appreciate how proactive they are when assembling a benefits package. Rather than leaving us to handle everything and simply having a brokerage approve it, Nava actively collaborates to develop creative solutions and takes the time to explain the reasoning behind their recommendations, even if those suggestions align with our current approach. I also value their strong client focus. It's great that I can direct any employee to the Nava app, where they can reach out to the customer support team with any questions, eliminating the need for me to act as an intermediary. They also just introduced an AI feature that helps you streamline your benefits questions and provides answers that used to be difficult to obtain.

**What do you dislike about Nava Benefits?**

Honestly, I have no complaints. Everything has been excellent so far, from the prompt communication with the team to the support provided by the Partner. We have always felt informed and supported, never left in the dark or with unanswered questions.

**Recommendations to others considering Nava Benefits:**

If you're a small to mid-size employer, which is Nava's main focus, you won't regret taking the time to speak with them. Unlike large, traditional brokerages that tend to use the same strategies year after year, Nava offers a more personalized approach. You might even be fortunate enough to work with an account manager who shares your appreciation for dad jokes.

**What problems is Nava Benefits solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After working with our previous broker for several years, we decided to explore other options two years ago. Around that time, Nava reached out to see if we would be open to a conversation about switching to their brokerage. We had numerous discussions with different members of their team, including the Co-Founder and CPO. Ultimately, we chose Nava because we felt they would offer us a strong experience, especially through their creative suggestions for improving our benefits. Their team is clearly passionate and dedicated, always striving to ensure the best possible fit between us and their services.

The client and manager support is excellent—always responsive, attentive, and, most importantly, they consistently follow through and deliver on what they promise. I really appreciate their platforms, such as Employee Navigator and Mineral.

I wish i had made this switch years ago! if you're struggling with your current broker, make the switch! Change is hard but so worth it!

In the past, we relied on Paychex as our small group health insurance broker, but the service we received was terrible. Last year, we made the switch to Nava, and it has truly been the best decision for our organization. The support we receive is reliable, and the entire process is now streamlined and efficient. I also appreciate how they incorporate AI in ways that are genuinely helpful. I couldn't be happier with the experience.

Our account Manager has been amazing Heather! Her response time and how comfortable she makes me feel to go to her for additional support makes me feel great about the partnership with Nava, as they have made themselves available time after time.

**What do you dislike about Nava Benefits?**

I would like to see if Nava can send HR professionals to a monthly or quarterly in person knowledge meeting were HR professionals and other administrators get together to learn and discuss current law changes, or just a monthly in person training. This was something I really appreciated from companies I have worked with in the past.

I strongly recommend Nava not only are they personable but very professional and responsive. I look forward to our continued partnership.

The team is responsive and caring. They truly go above and beyond - yes, I know, a lot of people, especially in the benefits space, profess this, but Nava lives it. Believe me, I am tough on our external partners, and Nava has delivered in a big way. They have also delivered savings where others have not been able to. They are creative in how they go to market for you to get you the right level of coverage at the right price for the stage your company is in.

**What do you dislike about Nava Benefits?**

It's hard to find a dislike, to be honest. I dislike that I labored in coming over to them - I should have done it sooner. They made the transition seamless.

**Recommendations to others considering Nava Benefits:**

DO IT! Honestly, never did I think I'd be taking the time at 9pm on a Thursday night to write an unprovoked recommendation but Nava and the team there (esp Nick) deserve it. Honestly, I am overjoyed with the service and importantly the burden they have taken off my plate with benefits admin. If you are struggling with a big player in the benefits broker space (or even if you're not) give them a try at your next OE, I guarantee you, that you will see the difference and if you don't find me on LinkedIn and DM me.

The team at Nava have helped across all areas of our benefits program at Karbon in a manner that can only be described as truly unreal. They meet you where you work wether that be on email or Team/Slack and respond within minutes. Year after year, they continue to provide excellent customer service.  When we have run into carrier issues, they have been responsive and advocated for us, consistently finding resolutions. As a small-nonprofit, every penny and every minute counts. Nava, and specifically our team, Adam and Colleen, have been superb partners. They listen, hear our needs, and find appropriate, cost-effective solutions. The services provided continues to allow our organization to deliver quality benefits to our team

**What do you like best about Nava Benefits?**

NAVA does not act like a vendor, they act like part of our internal team. They are very responsive, reliable, and quick to find resources when they don't have the answer. NAVA assigned us a team, not just one person, so we are never short on support and it gives an unparalled depth of expertise. I especially appreciate their willingness to solve-problems and look for solutions. I couldn't be more impressed with their service over the past two years. The company culture is mission-driven to change the healthcare experience, and they have attracted top talent on their team.

I would like to provide a balanced view, but I honestly have nothing to comment here. They work hard to hit every mark and there is nothing I would change about their service.

In addition to all of the basics (Open Enrollment, managing renewal RFPs, compliance reporting, etc.), NAVA has gone above and beyond to assist us with new contracts, system changes, and the sticky, difficult cases that were escalated. They have also helped us navigate OCONUS challenges, like changes in national healthcare networks. We also had problems with employees needing easier access to the benefits information and NAVA created an app that pulls all their medical/dental/vision cards and plan info into one easy place on their phone.

What I like best about Nava is the partnership and friendship I have with the Nava team I work closely with.  I love working with Mayella and Rick.  Their knowledge, humor and work ethic is out of this world.  I'm constantly learning from them.

**What do you dislike about Nava Benefits?**

There is nothing I dislike about Nava Benefits.  The company is continuing to grow and after two years I am still made to feel important, valued and appreciated.  It's a special company that goes out of their way to care about people while still making a difference in a complicated benefit arena.

**Recommendations to others considering Nava Benefits:**

I recommend Nava 110%.  Sometimes you have to change it up and take a chance to get different results and I am grateful we made the change to Nava.  
I know Nava is always looking out for the best interest of Venture and the support offered to the HR department is amazing and unique.

Nava is the backbone to our benefits, the superhero behind the scenes.  They have the best interest of our company and people in mind when addressing everything that comes with managing benefits:  Compliance, annual renewal, open enrollment, analytics, system conversion all benefit issues, education, and so much more.  
It is benefiting me personally by enabling me to be a stronger HR partner within the business I work at and truly feels like a healthy partnership with a broker.  I am grateful for the partnership.

Nava is always there to assist, whether its a annual enrollment questions, COBRA issues, or a simple daily operations question. They are always quick to respond, happy to call carriers and sort out challenges. I appreciate their partnership and willingness to go the extra mile since I wear more hats that just HR/benefits. The big reason why we made the change was knowing I would always have extra support when my client manager is unavailable and they have shown that since we signed on earlier this year. Communication is key and NAVA has excelled in that department.

The Nava team gets creative when exploring benefit options, and not only brings issues but meaningful solutions to the table. They also are a great asset for employes who are navigating tricky coverage situations.

The NBA app is still new and as a result lacks some features more mature broker tools have, for example the ability to schedule apts on the app or have app access with cards for dependents. Folks still need to go to the provider platforms to do many things and it would be nice for it to be a one stop shop

Nava has really improved our employeer/broker relationship. Previously there was a struggle to get our previous broker to support us let alone be a true partner.

Definitely consider them. I didn't select them as a broker, but get to work with them because I just joined a new company. I think they are a great partner and they are very in tune in the tech space and offer complimentary benefits like Mineral HR, and have great app for employees to get their questions answered and support with claims. I have not been getting many benefits questions from employees and I think it is at least partially due to the app.

I just joined a company as a People Operations Manager, and I oversee our benefits program in the US. My broker team at Nava has really helped me to understand the benefits package at my new company, as well as the tools I use internallly. They offered weekly checkins to help me get up to speed, and now we meet bi-weekly to check in on open items, questions I have, etc. The team is very responsive and willing to help even when I'm asking about things that happened before we started using them as our broker. I am also reviewing and planning to implement a new HRIS system and Nava has been very supportive by sitting in on benefits demos and giving me candid feedback on the systems that they are familiar with and partner with to help me make an informed decision.

Nava has a huge impact on our employee experience and HR/admin experience when it comes to health benefits! Employees are able to access their healthcare infomration with ease through the Nava app and some of the best memeber support I have ever seen when employee questions/issues arise. 

Nava has also lightened the load on our admin team taking ownership of all new hires and terminations with direct access to our HRIS. Their audit tool + service has corrected numerous carrier errors and saved our company thousands of dollars. Nava cannot be beaten in regards to customer service and technology in the broker industry!

Responsiveness, education opportunities, compliance assistance, discounts at Technology providers, my dedicated Nava team: Ed Ligonde, Sophia Le, Amy Friend, Jamie Meyer and Jaime Baldwin. Nava provides us engagement opportunities and quarterly initiatives that are created by them with our organization's branding to help us drive benefits utilization and overall health of our employees. They make sure we stay on track and collaborate with us to develop new benefits strategies, then do all the work of crafting a communication plan and all materials so all we need to do is roll it out. Nava uses their compliance partnerships to get us setup with all documents and compliance requirements - making it easy for us to roll out by just interviewing us and delivering the documentation we need with instructions on how to distribute. Ed Ligonde deeply understands the world of employee benefits, and can craft a self-insured plan design that is easy to implement and saves us and our employees money. With all the partners they bring to the table, it's easy to integrate our current services and providers into the many platforms they offer.

I've not found any downside to working with Nava and plan to continue to work with them into the future. They have been exactly what I was looking for!

Nava offers the best features and customer support around. If you are comparing other benfits brokers, make sure you know what all they offer and how much they will be involved in your day-to-day. Having an external team that's an extension of our in-house HR department is a difference-maker! I cannot recommend them enough.

We had a broker who provided little to no contact during the year. We needed a strong partnership to build a better benefits portfolio, understand how we could save money and get support for our employees. Our HR team is only two people, so I needed to have brokers who could do a lot of the heavy lifting for us during the year and at open enrollment. Enter Nava Benefits. Our Nava Team has become an extension of our internal HR department, providing services directly to our employees to help them understand their benefits, contact carriers on their behalf and resolve billing or enrollment discrepancies. In addition to this, Nava focuses on education for our employees, which helps them make better decisions and feel more supported. When it comes to open enrollment and plan selection, I am always given every option and all the dataI need to make informed decisions that will benefit the company and our employees. Having my Nava team has really solved my benefits needs and filled a gap that I was not finding with other benefit broker teams.

Please take the time to meet with the NAVA team. The experience is different. They are innovative, responsive and have your best interest at heart. They have always answered my questions and have served as a thought partner for my ideas. It is hard to compete with the high rates of health insurance and also retain talented staff. **What do you like best about Nava Benefits?**

Nava Benefits is an exceptional company committed to providing top-notch benefits solutions and personalized customer service (very different from my experience with the big, global benefits firms). Their team of diverse and talented professionals are experts and are dedicated to staying up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices.  Additionally, Nava's mission of fixing healthcare, making it more accessible, and being technology-forward is directly aligned with my company's mission. 

What sets Nava Benefits apart is their genuine care and concern for their clients - they truly want to see their partners succeed. Nava takes time-consuming benefits admin off my plate, which allows me to focus on other strategic HR initiatives.

Benefit admin is not my area of expertise, and the team at Nava is extremely helpful and patient with all of my questions. I highly value Nava as a trusted partner.

**What do you like best about Nava Benefits?**

Their technology tools, the number of people I have supporting my account, the support they provide, and the people themselves! They are also proactive about educating me on my requirements and helping me stay in compliance.

**What do you dislike about Nava Benefits?**

I honestly cannot think of any negatives at this time. My previous broker presented me only with significant cost increases, did not help with enrollment and data entry, or set up automated feeds, and was very reactive to our needs. Nava is none of these things.

**Recommendations to others considering Nava Benefits:**

Nava is not your conventional broker with a long company history of policies and dated practices. This is a good thing. If you are frustrated by the support you receive, or complain about benefits then shrug it off with a comment like "That's how it is, I can't do anything about it," then give them a chance to prove you wrong. You will not regret it, especially when you can breathe again and get back to your other work.

**What problems is Nava Benefits solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company is frequently acquiring new businesses, and we had a big task of consolidating 4 separate companies with diverse plans into a single benefits package. Nava went to market for us and found us the best priced plan with the coverage we needed, and due to their adoption of technology and partnerships, they were able to make the transition even easier for our employees by giving them access to a benefits decision-making tool and a benefits concierge service that we could not have gotten on our own. They also helped me automate my enrollment process between the employee self-service portal and the insurance companies. Needless to say, they have helped drastically reduce the number of questions I receive from employees, the amount of time I spent answering the questions, and the amount of time I spent manually updating insurance websites.

**What do you like best about Nava Benefits?**

What I  like best about Nava is the responsiveness of the entire team. With last-minute requests and inquiries, the responses are always timely and provide resolutions.

**What do you dislike about Nava Benefits?**

We honestly have not experienced any downsides to utilizing Nava. The team is knowledgeable, and they provide solutions to any issues we have experienced. The communication between us is excellent, and they always have contingencies in place when team members are out of the office.

**Recommendations to others considering Nava Benefits:**

We did our due diligence in searching for a broker to work with when we decided to introduce a benefits lineup to our employees. Nava was by far the most hands-on, solution-driven option for us. Over the past year with them, they have been a great support system for us as the employer and direct contact for our employees. We were promised and have received nothing less than white glove treatment with Nava Benefits.

Nava has helped us select our benefits for our small Start-up company in 2022 and recently assisted us with the benefits renewal and provider change process for our 2023 plan year.
