## Nasuni Reviews
  ### 1. Easy to Understand and Set Up

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grzegorz Z. | Systems Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

It's quite easy to understand, and setup - it's easy to train 1st line of support in basics of the operations very quickly.
System is quite stable once sized properly.
Concept might not be new, but it's executed quite well - one filer is supporting whole big manufacturing Site for years.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Problem with obtaining hardware filers in EMEA region.
Filers shows You all sorts of stats, for example % of space consumed by file types... but won't be able to show You WHERE those are.
Checking logs for file operation is very cumbersome with huge txt filtering involved.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File services are really hard to size properly, while Nasuni gives us a lot of flexibility. We can now efficiently store data for 10+ years with instant access to it without much extra work if needed.

  ### 2. Seamless Global File Synchronization and Robust Data Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

I appreciate Nasuni's quick synchronization, which ensures every location has the latest data, making collaboration across global offices seamless. The ability to access large files locally while maintaining cloud availability maintains high performance, essential for our engineering and architectural projects. I find the backup process effortless with Nasuni, where simply setting the retention needs allows the software to manage the rest, and restorations are impressively fast, taking just seconds. The optional ransomware addon has proven its worth by effectively blocking simulated attack attempts in seconds, providing a significant peace of mind. Nasuni’s robust disaster recovery plan is well-designed, enabling complete recovery and data access within minutes. The initial setup was easy with Nasuni’s support throughout the process. I highly value these features, as they have significantly improved our workflow efficiency and data management.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

I occasionally encounter an issue where file locks are not released properly, requiring manual intervention from a Nasuni admin. While this isn't a major inconvenience and happens rarely, it does require extra steps for resolution, which could disrupt the workflow if it occurs frequently.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nasuni solves our global data synchronization issue, ensuring reliable, high-performance file access across locations. It provides quick backups and restores, robust disaster recovery, and effective ransomware protection, enhancing collaboration and safeguarding data.

  ### 3. Reviewed a number of products and chose this one

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pete N. | Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Fast and resilient
Easy to setup
Intergrates easily with Azure Storage
Easy to restore files

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

The UX Interface for the Nasuni applicance is a bit clunky
The logging and reporting options could be better

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a large on premise storage environment ~50TB, and wanted to move this to the Cloud with an On-Premise footprint, this does a perfect job

  ### 4. Simplifies NAS with Advanced Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit S. | Storage Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

I am thoroughly impressed with the Nasuni Management Console. It offers a centralized monitoring solution that allows me to check the health of all filers from a single location, eliminating the need to visit each edge individually. I find the Snapshot feature particularly valuable, as it enables me to restore files from older versions if users accidentally delete or overwrite them. This feature has been a favorite among users in my environment. The user interface is straightforward and easy to navigate, making the console user-friendly. I'm also impressed by Nasuni's Antivirus feature, which effectively detects unsafe files, blocks clients from saving risky file extensions, and generates reports of affected files. Another aspect I appreciate is the ability to connect the same volume through different edges, providing a reliable disaster recovery solution in case of technical failures. Finally, the setup was remarkably smooth due to the intuitive GUI and the support team's assistance, making the initial configuration seamless.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

I find that Nasuni could improve by setting up a simple automated reporting feature for sharing the edge status with the IT team via email. As a storage admin, I often have to manually check the NMC console for the status of the edge. If there were an option for an auto-generated report that could be scheduled, it would greatly enhance efficiency. Additionally, it would be beneficial to enable a volume used space report feature that could be scheduled on a monthly or weekly basis.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Nasuni simplifies data management with centralized monitoring, restoring overwritten or deleted files, and blocking unsafe files with antivirus, enhancing data security and system reliability.

  ### 5. Nasuni: A Boundary-Less File System Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris A. | Lead IT Server & Storage Infrastructure Administrator

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

I appreciate that Nasuni offers an all-in-one solution that allows businesses to scale their file systems without any limitations. This is incredibly beneficial as it enables companies to retain their data even when they lack the resources or desire to handle retention maintenance manually. Nasuni ensures that data is accessible whenever and wherever needed, providing a sustainable, secure, and elastic alternative to traditional on-premises file servers. I also value the around-the-clock support provided by Nasuni, which is very good and reassuring. The guidance from their Technical Account Managers (TAMs) is also noteworthy, facilitating a smooth setup process which, coupled with my experience, made the integration not at all difficult.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

When dealing with vast file systems, changes to permissions and migrations can be slow, and there isn't a good way for users to search for files, unlike Windows file servers that had search indexing capabilities.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nasuni for sustainable, secure, elastic file storage, replacing traditional on-prem file servers. It supports growth without boundaries, making storage scalable and accessible without heavy maintenance.

  ### 6. Streamlined place to manage and store data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raaj P. | d, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni software has a well organized, impressive and easy to use interface. Provides a best console to use for data management.
This is a great centralize app to keep, manage and edit the documents in easy ways. Even its a cloud based application so people can share the documents quickly and the clink on link option is also there in it by which you can generate a file accessing link and share to the viewers.
It has a very clean and familiar interface to use for your document management.
If you face any kind of problem while using the application then the customer support team is always available, they will guide and assist you when ever you need, they are available 24*7.
For safety purpose of the important files, Nasuni takes regular back of the content, and also it has a quick and instant recovery feature also if in case any of the data gets misplaced, deleted by mistake or corrupted then this recovery feature helps to get the data again in seconds.
I really love one of its feature that allows to lock the files which you do not want that all users can view, you can select and give permission via this platform to those people who you want to access and open that file. Other this software will keep the confidential data always secured.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Does not allows to use and access all the feature in non subscribed version of the platform. Except this we have no issue from this software.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nasuni had really worked well and provided best results in lesser time. It kept and managed our documentations in one place. The software had perfectly worked well for keeping every document safe and easy to share and access when ever needed. The search engine and filter options are great features in it which saved a lot of our time many times.

  ### 7. Excellent software. It has helped us centralize our data and make our operations more efficient.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

I like how Nasuni keeps improving and adding new features with new version releases. The FileIQ has been a great addition as well as OPSIQ and ApplianceIQ in the portal. They don't stop enriching the platform.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

One issue I've encountered is that you cannot change the master filers for a volume once it has been configured. Additionally, some aspects of the NMC's functionality could be better. For example, the process of connecting a volume is somewhat confusing, especially when you need to select more than one volume. Lastly, the Safe Delete function could use improvement, as it is currently too easy to modify.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed us to have serverless offices and to centralize our data in a data center.
We also got rid of DFSR (windows replication) and are now using Nasuni snapshots and replication a lot more efficiently.

The software is particularly easy to use from an admin perspective, which makes managing and navigating it much more straightforward. I appreciate the great features and the fact that Nasuni constantly provides updates, ensuring that the software remains up-to-date with new functionalities and improvements. The NMC console's great UX significantly eases the learning curve for new admins, making it accessible and reducing the amount of time needed for training.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

I dislike the overall bugs in each release of Nasuni, which could be reduced with better quality testing before release.

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

I really appreciate the interface of Nasuni, as it is very user-friendly and makes navigating through tasks a breeze. The design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, which makes using the software a seamless experience. One of the standout features for me is the intuitive process for retrieving a virtual machine from the backup. **What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Not much to complain about, but it would be nice to have more detailed reporting and analytics options for deeper insights. The first step of the migration process also needs careful planning to make sure everything goes smoothly. After that, the system is easy to keep up with.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our file storage plan has gotten a lot better thanks to Nasuni. As an IT administrator, I like how easy it is to set up, run, and grow. We were able to combine our on-premises file servers, lower maintenance costs, and give our teams secure global file access by moving to a cloud-native file platform. The performance is good, and the built-in backup, versioning, and ransomware protection features make us sure that our data is always safe. Restoring files, whether it's one file or a whole directory, is quick and easy. The interface is easy to use, and support has always been quick to respond and helpful when we've needed help.

  ### 14. Intuitive Management and Instant File Restores with Nasuni

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni, as a software platform, is intuitive to manage. It offers a unified management portal that allows us to oversee all deployed appliances in our environment, whether they are on-premises or in the cloud.

We worked with Nasuni project team when implementing this solution. They acted professionally and are experts in what they implement, which made our deployment simple and minimised service downtime during cut over periods.

Since its deployment, we have not experienced any performance issues. File restores from backup snapshots are nearly instantaneous, no matter how many files or folders are involved.

In terms of resilience, Nasuni supports NFS, which enables High Availability and streamlines disaster recovery procedures. We use this feature when performing upgrade, and recently used this to transition from one Azure subscription to another with ease.

From a security perspective, Nasuni provides granular, customisable Role-Based permission controls. This flexibility makes it easy to define which individuals or teams have access to specific actions.

Nasuni also has a very simple upgrade process, which allows us to minimise service downtime and benefiting from the latest improvements.

Both our IT Infrastructure and Service Desk team uses Nasuni on weekly basis, and IT Cyber Security team also occasionally access it for accessing log and monitoring. The granular role-based permission and intuitive management interface mentioned earlier means they require less support and can focus on what they need to achieve.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

None that I can think of. Nasuni support, including the account management team, has always been accommodating and supportive on any matter that we had raised.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We transitioned to Nasuni after our previous product was discontinued with relatively short notice.

The onboarding process was smooth, and we were able to migrate our data to the Nasuni platform quickly.

One of the key advantages for us has been the built-in backup snapshot feature, which removes the need for a separate backup solution.

Additionally, the flexibility to choose our storage backend allows us to select the most cost-effective options for both active data and archived data retention.

The recently released Nasuni IQ appliance has also been valuable, giving us clear visibility into our data usage and making it much easier to locate folders or files that were accidentally deleted or moved by users.

  ### 15. Robust Storage Solution with Smooth Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

I really appreciate Nasuni for its centralized naming and robust storage features. These aspects significantly ease the user experience and ensure reliability, which is crucial for my work involving file sharing. Additionally, the initial setup of Nasuni was incredibly smooth, making the transition seamless. The reliability and efficiency provided by Nasuni's storage solutions are invaluable to me, contributing to an overall positive experience with the product.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

I find that cloud accessible storage in Nasuni isn't as intuitive as I would like. Additionally, the requirement for external authentication to be dependent on Active Directory presents limitations for us.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nasuni for centralized naming and robust storage, enhancing reliability and user experience in file sharing.

  ### 16. Stable, High-Performing, and Innovative

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

The technology offers central storage with distributed access, ensuring both data security and fast access speeds. Its reliability is impressive, with excellent uptime. Scalability is another strong point, as it removes the constraints of hardware limitations. Innovation is clearly a priority, with new features being added on a regular basis.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

The management tools are outdated and lag behind current standards. The main console has remained virtually unchanged for the past ten years, and the reporting features are minimal to the point of being almost nonexistent. It would also be beneficial if data analytics capabilities were added.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This solution eliminates the need for backups and does away with storage limitations.

  ### 17. Nasuni - Simple and Clean

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni is great when it comes to scalability. We use it in multiple offices across the USA and having it to where anyone can work "locally" even if they are working a project 5 states away is a game changer. The idea also that if one office goes down we can just point them to the next closest filer and get on with it with no worry of data loss or loss of productivity is a huge selling point. It's super easy to manage and from a user perspective they never see a difference from the old system. Spinning up a filer is simple which makes implementing it in a new office a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

The major downside is basically what you see anytime you adopt a service like this: It's basically a one-way road. Getting off Nasuni (if you wanted to) doesn't seem to be as straightforward as getting on it. Also, having to reach out to support for some simple tasks can be a bit annoying, but they are usually pretty quick to respond, so while I'd love to be able to do it on my end, it's not a deal breaker.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to provide quick and easy file access to my users, no matter where in the country they are located, and they are able to work "locally" which helps keep lag down and efficiency up.

  ### 18. Scalable Solution with Outstanding TAM Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arturo C. | Managing Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Scalability. Recovery is easy. Also our TAM is great.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

On the last months support has been lagging a bit. We have had lots of cases were we don't get reposnses or just jump from one tech to another.
We are looking forward for new things that seems like other vendors have already. Search, web access, AI.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

large scale storage solution worldwide.

  ### 19. Cloud Storage at best price and Performance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swapnil D. | Infrastructure Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni delivers reliable performance at a budget-friendly price, meeting the demands of modern applications.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

The user interface could be significantly improved to enhance usability and streamline workflows.

Nasuni requires spinning up multiple VMs, which adds complexity and overhead to the deployment.

The platform functions as a black box, limiting flexibility — I am unable to install custom software or tools needed for our specific use cases on the underlying machines.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nasuni has proven to be a cost-effective solution, especially compared to traditional storage systems. By storing data in object storage (blob) and only requiring payment for the local cache disk, I've seen a noticeable reduction in storage costs across all my workloads. Additionally, all workloads are performing as expected, with no observable performance degradation.

  ### 20. Cost effective Cloud Storage Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Cost effective Solution , Easily Scalable , can store peta bytesof data with multiple (infinite) snapshots .

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

No Backup solution , Azure Disaster recovery failback concerns , Can be provided as service instead of VM deployment and management

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

nasuni is providing cost effective storage solution over cloud , as active data resides in cache and non-active data stays in blob providing performance as well as cost saving for us.

  ### 21. We moved all files shares to the cloud with Nasuni

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chad L. | Director of IT Infrastructure, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni's ransomware protection is a fantastic feature. The fact that they snapshot the files every 5 minutes and keep those snapshots as long as we need them has improved our backup and recovery posture significantly.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

I wish Nasuni had some functionality to cache files on the local PC for users who connect over VPN. Depending on network connection, the speeds for remote workers can be very slow.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nasuni helped us free up a large amount of space on our SAN by offloading all our file shares to the cloud. We reduced our overall number of file shares, because Nasuni provides a great way for decentralized teams to work on the same set of files regardless of their location.

  ### 22. Nasuni has provided a robust company wide standard for our unstructured data.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni is an inexpensive platform that inherently provides backups, DR and fault tolerance. Nasuni is simple to use and administrate. Implementation is heavily supported through their customer support and advanced support teams. The end user does not realize their data is on the cloud due to seamless integration.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

The concept of Nasuni is difficult for managers to understand. To explain the huge cost benefits; storage, replication, backups, DR and ransomware protection (among other offerings) must be combined in order to show simplicity and cost advantage. Explaining the way Nasuni works to combine all of these services into one solution is difficult at times.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nasuni is providing low-cost storage with HA, DR, backups and ransomware protection under one solution. This benefits us by reducing cost, administrative effort and complexity.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Nothing, they always strive to provide a reliable service.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nasuni helps to solve many problems like, Revit collaboration across multiple sites, snapshots of our data every 5 minutes, no need to provision extra storage for growth.

  ### 24. User group Boston

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dewin D. | Cloud Admin, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

I think the biggest thing is their willingness to jump on issues. I can always count on Nasuni to go above and beyond on any problems we may have.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

I would say this is minimal, but sometimes I wish they could work a little deeper on getting answers to some issues they've never seen before.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving our data storgare problem. This helps me becaucse it stores our data and takes the preasue off us locally

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Really like all the features but most importantly, its Ease of Use.
In last couple of years, Nasuni introduced new features or tools like Nasuni IQ which can be very useful for the organizations where data management & governance is most critical.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

More features needed in NMC GUI to manage all the settings and configuration.
Advancement required in Nasuni IQ.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it as our DFS file share management tool which is working really great.

  ### 27. Great product for high availability of your file shares

  ### 28. Great for disaster mitigation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mining & Metals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

I love that everything goes to the cloud and you can have a cold spare in a different location to migrate your data to. Just do a simple disaster recovery and its all there! Customer Support is very quick to reply when you need help for the times you need it.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Some features do lack, suck as the ability to access logs yourself. I would like to see more features being included in the subscription isntead of an extra.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed something to offload our old data and this does it perfectly while still enabling access to it. The bonus of easy disaster recovery and migration are also nice.

  ### 29. Moving to Nasuni has simplified operations and accelerated our cloud migration.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

There is not a steep learning curve. The ease of use allows for me to focus on other areas of our environment which is crucial as we are limited on staff.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

I can honestly say that we have not experienced any limitations to the product in our environment.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplicity of operations not only in the production environment but also in our disaster recovery solution. The integration with our existing file auditing solution made the transition from our old platform far easier. Additionally, the cost saving we realized after moving to Nasuni allowed us to redistribute budget to areas of greater need.

  ### 30. Nasuni NAS & Access Anywhere - Great Products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony B. | Senior Server Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

The set up of our Nasuni environment was very easy.
The sharing of files between our offices is pretty fast
Customer Support is very helpful
The addition of Ransomware detection has increased their value.
Our Nasuni environment has been stable since we implemnted it in 2017.
Global File Acceleration has increased the sync time between our filers.

Also, there Access Anywhere file sharing application is very easy to use and works great. We use this as a replacement for Box and it costs about a third of the price of Box.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

I can't even say this is a complaint because it continually improves but, the sync time between filers does cause issues with end users but, with global file aceleration, this is essentially non-existant.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has reduced infrastructure with removal of storage hardware.
It backs up out fiels to the cloud.
It allows us to have one NAS for all of our users in our multiple offices.

For Access Anywhere, it integrates with our current data and edge appliance environment

  ### 31. Solid produce with absolutely amazing customer support

Nasuni is catching up with web access. The solution works great out of the cloud, but still depends on SMB/NFS protocols. Advanced Web access IS a huge roadmap for Nasuni this year

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scalable cloud storage run out of our AWS instances with the ability to provide local fast access

  ### 32. Excellent cloud file storage

The filers can be located in branch offices or headquarters and can be virtual machines and now have Ransomware detection capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

When creating a share on one filer, you need to create the share on the remaining filers.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease and quickness of restoring a user file or files. We have restored Gigs of data in a minute with a few mouse clicks.

  ### 34. Excellent platform to share and secure data across multiple sites

It was really easy to setup. The PS team was knowledgable which made setup fast and they were able to help trouldeshoot challenges like bandwidth restrictions.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

The reporting can be improved but I know they are work on it

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to move off of a physical file storage solution to a cloud solution for a fraction of the cost. With Nasuni we now have improved resilance.

  ### 36. Perfect for a growing business.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

The ability to handle data growth without the worry and time required to continuously grow our storage provision.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

There nothing not to like about Nasuni products.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data protection, ransomeware protection and recovery options.

  ### 37. Nasuni has reduced storage costs, replacing on-premise legacy storage with a hybrid cloud approach.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni is easy to deploy and their support staff is top notch. The best part of the deployment design was choosing to use DFS to obfuscate the new UNC storage destinations.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Data migration into Nasuni (w/ Azure cloud) can take a long time and needs a lot of babysitting. This problem is not unique to Nasuni.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replaces on-premise storage hardware which is costly to operate and reduces our power and space consumption in our data center.

  ### 38. File Sharing Across the Enterprise

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles D. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

McKim & Creed is a AEC firm with more than 25 offices. We wanted to make sure that all users had access to all files all of the time and the Nasuni platform allowed us to achieve that goal. Regardless if you are running on prem connected to a filer, over a VPN, or using a VDI workstation the ability of users to access files including Autodesk and Bentley applications while locking those files to prevent changes is outstanding. It's a tool that everyone in the company uses every day.

In addition to the file sharing capabilities, the backup and recovery tools are outstanding and allow any member of the IT team to restore files. Nasuni is also a key part of our BCP plan including helping to detect ransomware attacks.

The support team is outstanding and their product development team really listens to our concerns. We're currently working in integrating Nasuni into AI based solutions to help with proposal generation.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

File replication from site to site can take a couple of minutes, and if a user copies terrabytes of data onto a file it can take a while to replicate.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing files across distance

  ### 39. Nasuni a go-to partner to migrate your data to Cloud.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier G. | IT Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

My experience with the Nasuni edge appliance and Nasuni Management Console has been very positive. I believe it's a compelling technology for businesses seeking to migrate applications and user data to the cloud from on-premises file storage solutions (NAS or file servers).
Some of themost valuable features I had the chance to use and catched my attention possitively were:
Easy to use snapshot/restore module. Fast data pointers restoration, critical data outage can be recovered in a few moments.
Customer support is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

I have faced drawbacks when trying to create custom reporting for my customer. It forced my team to script our own reporting deliverable using Nasuni NMC API.
Integration specs with Modelling software like CAD is not very clear, seems like more in depth testing needs to be done with that kind of software, specially when tehre is a vpn layer in the middle.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On premise production and archive data migration to the cloud which is a key moment if you want to rethink your data structure for the future.
Metadata restores are great in the event of high critical amount of data deletion.
Having a centralized management console is very useful.

  ### 40. Phenomenal hybrid file storage solution!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni is a great option for businesses looking to store data on prem while still having cloud backup functionality. It helps cut down on the costs of physically storing TBs worth of hard drives for storage, while simultaneously enabling file revision history in case a file gets accidentally deleted or saved over. Nasuni comes in extremely handy when a user accidentally deletes a file and it needs to be restored from a previous date.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Occasionally, it can affect performance when attempting to perform administrative tasks on the files from a Windows server.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nasuni is helping us accomplish disaster recovery by automatically backing up our files to an offsite location with an automatic cadence. Additionally, it assists us when file recoveries are needed by enabling the restoration of files from the revision history.

  ### 41. Review of the great Nasuni solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joaquin A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni is a great and cost effective product!, we moved all of out on-prem data to the Cloud with the same user experience. We don't have to worry about hardware renewal, maintenance and available space.

Proffesional services of Nasuni are world class!

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Nasuni has a great add-on feature for Ransonmware but expensive.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We implemented Nasuni mainly to replace the on-prem storage servers and to improve the backup of the data. Now we don't have to warry abour hardware, available space and hardware migration. Users can access everywhere to the data with great performance.

  ### 42. Over four years of daily use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

It mostly just works. Highly responsive and knowlegable support staff. The best way we've found to manage fileshares in the cloud. One of the most grainular snapshot systems around. I don't worry about backups anymore.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

After over four years of use there are a few things that could be improved with the UI. I could get into the weeds discussing this (and have with their sales engineers) but none of it is a show stopper. It does take a lot of CPU and Memory, also you have to use SSDs to get full performance out of it. But if you size your server correctly, it will perform well. Figure you'll want something like a Dell R750 with SSD RAID for each filer.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having power & cooling sucking SANs on-site. Having to deal with backups and restores. All those SANs need maintaince contracts, the backup software needs to be kept current. With Nasuni all our data is safely off-site and in a DR situation it can be made available at another site within minutes. Since moving to Nasuni I've decommissioned hundreds of hard drives.

  ### 43. Effective Cost efficient storage solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Centralised storage repository making core management and control functions easier

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Having to build out third party (Grafana / Dynatrace) monitoring interfaces to gain better environment visualisations

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

enabling Global data usage with local performance

  ### 44. Nasuni- Disruptive Technology without the Pain

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

System Admin friendly interface, intuitive design, making it easy for system admins to navigate and perform tasks efficiently. The platform considers many of the challenges with storing which makes it a great tool for scalability and ease of integration.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Nasuni has an opportunity to improve enterprise service integrations which would really set it apart from it's competitors to really enhance the overall end user and system admin experience. Customer support, is satisfactory, with the post sale experience being lacklust for prompt issue resolution.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scalability and Compliance Requirements

  ### 45. I have been a Nasuni customer for 7 years

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe M. | CIO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Simplicity, data recovery speed, performance, analytics

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Mobile app needs additional features, still evaluating Access Anywhere.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily provided solid global collaboration platform for projects. Also standardizes storage solution for all global offices, with a central management platform.

  ### 46. Hybrid Cloud Storage as NAS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Nasuni is positioned as intranet NAS leveraging the hybrid cloud storage caching tehchnology ensuring the immutable capability and ransonware protection & recovery.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

rasomware protection should have been atleast default bundled option. Access anywhere implementation is not easy or straight forward solution for Enterprise with strict internet exposing limitation.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nasuni is acting as Hybrid cloud storage reducing the intranet footprint, leverage the cloud storage as a backup with its immutable version feature.

  ### 47. Simplifies file management at scale

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

The Nasuni platform has removed a large operational overhead from our IT operations team in having to manage multiple distributed file servers and centralised file storage SANs. The simple centralised management model allows our operations team to focus their time on business value objectives with minimal capacity or resiliency activities needed to maintain a large unstructured file service for our business. The company has a good engagement model with customers, user communities and events to share experiences and gather feedback. This is seen with strong roadmaps that actually deliver on features we want to see. The support has been extremely good from first point of contact through to resolution.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

For us, onboarding our legacy file data was challenging a few years ago. This was related more towards the quality of our data sets. These needed to be cleaned ahead of migration. The platform is better at handling these today and more recent migrations have gone smoothly.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our unstructured file data was growing at a high rate. We faced multiple challenges in scaling storage in time and where it was needed to meet business needs. The Nasuni platform allow sus to centrally manage storage and using the caching system, physical capacity planning is minimal now.

  ### 48. Cloud based file system that just works!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Obviously the best feature of Nasuni is the ransomware protection, but the caching devices are very responsive. We have 17 CIFS shares and since we've migrated we've not had one complaint (knock on wood) about the solution being slow. In fact we've had a few users that have remarked that the response time is better.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Honestly, at this point I don't think I have any complaints with Nasuni yet. I've been very happy with the product, the technical support during migration and now we're in a steady state I can't think of anything that I haven't liked.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nasuni helps me sleep at night knowing that if there's a ransomware attack that we can easily revert back to a point in time. Having the data in cloud to provide high availability is huge too.

  ### 49. Nasuni transforms file servers into a real cloud-based solution with great scale and performance!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

There are several key points that really highlight Nasuni.

* Performance - local cache drive can be backed with NVME SSD's for great read/write speeds - typically users have no idea their data is being pulled from object storage such as AWS S3.
* Scalability - The ability to remotely connect any S3 bucket to any other filer around the world, taking advantage of AWS' backbone - allows you to split up workloads by edge appliance and not split the data in the bucket itself.
* Backup - When users need to restore files, even at a large scale, this can be done insanely quick using the management console.
* Customer support - They have some very talented and bright minds working for them. Working with support has always been great.

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

A couple items to note:
* The management UI is good, but it could use some better functionality for bulk editing of items.
* Could use more performance metrics in the management console for self-troubleshooting.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Nasuni resolves the age old issue of file servers filing up, then having to buy more disks to expand. When using object storage such as AWS S3, you basically will have unlimited storage.
The other great convenience is the ability to quickly restore files at a large scale in case of a ransomware attack.

  ### 50. Helps in consolidating data and eliminating on-prem infrastructure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Nasuni?**

Snapshot backup is most valuable. It's quick and easy to use. It's controlled only by an administrator, which is very good. It takes 10 seconds to back up a spreadsheet of three or four megabytes

**What do you dislike about Nasuni?**

Nasuni does not support different retention policies within the same volume, so you have to keep creating volumes for retention policies. When you create a new volume, it means you're starting from zero all over again. You can't move data between two volumes. You have to move them from your physical device to Nasuni or your cloud device to Nasuni.

**What problems is Nasuni solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's mostly for internal users. We use it for internal file sharing. We have moved our various departments, such as marketing, finance, and HR, to Nasuni. We started using it because of the StorSimple devices coming to an end of life. Microsoft announced that, so we considered Nasuni as the first option for internal file sharing of users.
