## n8n Reviews
 ### 1. Stable, Predictable Automation with n8n’s Powerful Integrations and Community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about n8n?**

The product has evolved a lot since the first time I tried it. I now use it for workflows that require stable execution of repetitive tasks, especially around market research, large-scale data scraping, and any kind of automation where predictability and performance matter.

There are tons of integrations and community nodes, and being able to plug pretty much anything into n8n is what makes it feel truly out of the box and easy to use.

On pricing and the free community version: I’m not sure how the current popularity of agentic solutions like Claude Caude, Codex, etc. is affecting the simpler n8n use cases. I have a feeling more users might choose those over n8n, but I personally really hope the community version we use right now on a 64 GB VPS continues to exist. Otherwise, we’ll have to pay a lot more for a subscription, and we’ll need to rethink whether it still fits our use case.

Support and onboarding are also strong. There are millions of videos on YouTube, and the huge communities on Reddit and Telegram make almost any n8n question easier and easier to resolve—even by chatting with an LLM that has already scraped Reddit for us and used it for reasoning.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Honestly, n8n and Supabase—those two companies are the best. There are only a few minor things I’m not totally happy about, but they’re so subjective that it doesn’t really feel worth complaining about them here. So there isn’t much more I can share in this section.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Large-scale lead scoring, market research, and content publishing are all covered. It also supports Telegram bots and monitoring tools, plus a lot more beyond that.

 ### 2. Simple and Flexible Automation Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moiz H. | Senior Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2026

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I like most about n8n is how flexible and easy it is to automate different tasks. I can connect different apps, build workflows visually, and save a lot of time on repetitive work. I also like that I can customize workflows when I need something more advanced. Overall, it makes automation much simpler and helps me work more efficiently. The value is good for the price. It saves me time by automating repetitive tasks and gives me enough flexibility to build the workflows I need.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Sometimes n8n can feel a little confusing when building more complex workflows, especially when an error happens and it is not clear what caused it. Some integrations also require extra setup or technical knowledge. The documentation is helpful, but in some cases I still need to spend time testing different options before everything works correctly.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n helps automate repetitive tasks and connect different tools in one workflow. It saves me time, reduces manual work, and makes my daily processes more efficient.

 ### 3. Easy to use and flexible for workflow automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I like most about n8n is its flexibility. I can connect different tools and APIs and build workflows without having to write everything from scratch. The visual workflow builder makes it easy to see how data moves from one step to the next, while still giving me the option to use JavaScript or custom API calls when I need more control. I also appreciate the large number of integrations and the fact that I can self-host it, which gives me greater control over both my workflows and my data. I think the value is good for what it provides It saves me time on repetitive work and gives me a lot of flexibility when building workflows The pricing feels reasonable considering how much automation I can handle with it

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The learning curve can be a little steep when you start building more complex workflows. There are a lot of nodes and configuration options, so it can take some time to understand the best way to structure things. Debugging larger workflows can also get a bit difficult because there may be many connected steps to trace. Some integrations also require extra configuration or custom API work instead of working perfectly out of the box.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n helps me automate repetitive tasks and connect different tools without building everything from scratchIt saves a lot of manual work especially when I need to move data between different systems
I can also create custom workflows for things that are not possible with simple automation tools overall it helps me save time and makes my day to day work much easier

 ### 4. Flexible and Powerful Automation for Real Business Processes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco P. | Presidente, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**AI Translated:** This review has been translated from Spanish; Castilian using AI.

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2026

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I value most about n8n is that it allows me to turn operational processes that previously required manual intervention into automated workflows, connecting different platforms and APIs with great flexibility. For me, its great advantage is that it doesn't limit me to simple automations: I can build processes with logic, conditions, data handling, and custom integrations, maintaining considerable control over how each workflow functions.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

What I like least is that as workflows become more complex, it can be difficult to quickly identify where the problem is when something goes wrong. The learning curve can also be significant for non-technical users, especially when starting to work with APIs, expressions, JSON, and error handling. Improvements in debugging tools, clearer error messages, and simpler execution visualization would help a lot.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n allows me to turn scattered operational processes into automated and connected flows. This means less manual work, fewer errors, faster response times, and better traceability. The main benefit is that I can scale processes and connect different tools without always relying on custom developments, which significantly improves business efficiency.

 ### 5. Flexible Self-Hosting and Custom Code Make n8n a Powerhouse for Complex Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dawit S. | developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** This review contains authentic analysis and has been reviewed by our team

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2026

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I value most is the sheer flexibility and the option to self-host. Running n8n on a VPS through Docker gives me full control over my automation environment and keeps my data privacy in my hands. On top of the native nodes, being able to drop custom Python or JavaScript straight into my workflows makes it far more capable than typical drag-and-drop tools, especially when I’m dealing with complex API integrations. The value-to-cost ratio is unbeatable. By self-hosting on a basic VPS, I avoid the steep, usage-based pricing tiers common in other automation platforms. Running high-volume data transformations and frequent API polling would cost hundreds of dollars a month elsewhere, but with n8n, my execution volume is limited only by server resources, making the ROI massive.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Self-hosting via Docker on a VPS gives me incredible control, but it also brings the overhead of hands-on server maintenance. Keeping the environment up to date, configuring Nginx and SSL, and managing database backups for the n8n instance itself can take a lot of time, especially when compared with fully managed cloud solutions.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n is a developer-friendly powerhouse for building heavy-duty data pipelines. I rely on it to orchestrate complex backend flows, from transforming raw data for BigQuery and Looker Studio to running real-time chat-processing workflows connected to Supabase and Pinecone vector databases. It ties these advanced systems together smoothly—work that would quickly overwhelm simpler automation platforms.

 ### 6. Flexible, Fast Workflow Automation with n8n—Perfect for Advanced Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paras G. | Founder & CTO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account added to their profile

**Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate.

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2026

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I like most about n8n is its flexibility and how quickly I can build and automate complex workflows. The visual workflow builder makes integrations straightforward to follow, and the option to use custom code, webhooks, API calls, plus a wide range of built-in integrations gives me the freedom I need for more advanced use cases. I also appreciate that it can be self-hosted, which gives me better control over my data, infrastructure, and costs. Overall, it works especially well for AI automation, CRM workflows, notifications, data synchronization, and connecting multiple business tools without having to build everything from scratch.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

What I dislike most about n8n is that complex workflows can become difficult to manage as they grow. Debugging failures across many nodes sometimes takes time, especially when working with APIs, webhooks, or inconsistent third-party data. Some advanced use cases also require custom JavaScript or manual error-handling logic. Better workflow organization, debugging visibility, and built-in testing tools would make large production automations easier to maintain.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n helps me automate repetitive business and development tasks by connecting different applications, APIs, databases, and AI services into a single workflow. I use it for tasks such as lead processing, CRM updates, notifications, data synchronization, social media automation, and AI-powered workflows. This reduces manual work, saves development time, minimizes human errors, and allows processes to run automatically without constant supervision.

 ### 7. Unmatched Versatility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro S. | Junior IT Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account

**Source: Organic Review from User Profile:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was not provided any incentive by G2 for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2026

**What do you like best about n8n?**

Honestly, it’s the sheer versatility. Whenever we hit a wall or run into a limitation with another platform, n8n is our go-to fix. As long as a tool has an API, you can tap into it and manipulate data exactly how you need to.
On top of that, being able to self-host it completely for free is a huge plus. Combine that with a massive, growing community where people actually help each other out and share ready-to-use workflows, and it’s honestly unmatched.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

To be honest, for how I use it, virtually nothing—it does everything I ask of it. But if I had to pick something, I think it could benefit from built-in, interactive tutorials for the core nodes. Since there are so many nodes, having a quick guided walkthrough for just the essential ones that almost every workflow uses would be a great addition, especially for newcomers. That said, it hasn't been a dealbreaker for me at all.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest issue n8n solves for us is data silos and API limitations. In our day-to-day work, different platforms rarely speak to each other the exact way you need them to.

With n8n, we can pull raw data from virtually any platform's API, clean or restructure it, and push it right where it needs to go. It has saved us hundreds of hours of manual work and eliminated the need to write custom backend code for basic integrations. It streamlines our entire workflow and lets us launch automated processes in hours instead of days.

 ### 8. Intuitive Workflow Automation with Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2026

**What do you like best about n8n?**

It helps create highly complex workflows, including AI agents, messengers, and emails, that work as a single system. Integrations with multiple platforms are possible; I connected Telegram, Google Drive, and a Claude agent in one pipeline. The user interface is intuitive; my experience with other automation tools was enough to understand how to work in n8n.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

It can be a bit expensive if you’re using it for personal goals. Also, when a workflow gets too large, I sometimes run into mistakes, so it’s better to split your pipelines to avoid overloading the system. Another big issue is that workflows don’t have autosave. I once accidentally closed the workspace, and all my work disappeared. There are a lot of powerful possibilities, but you need to be technically savvy to take full advantage of them.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really helped with many projects, such as lead qualification for sales managers and the automatic creation of personalized cold email drafts, saving an average of 2 hours a day for every sales team member.

 ### 9. Full Control to Build Exactly What You Want

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris U. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was not provided any incentive by G2 for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2026

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I like that it gave me full control over the objects on the page and I was able to create exactly what I wanted and not be bound by the limitations of other systems like Make or Manus

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The only thing I didn't like about NA to N was when I did have to write custom scripts or code to do things. I found the documentation a little bit lacking. There could be better samples like IntelliSense or something that would help move the process along in a much better way

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to automate repetitive tasks and free up more time to work on things that made my business more money. I didn't make money with n8n in a sense but I saved a lot of my time, which is more valuable.

 ### 10. Easy, Intuitive Automation with Endless Workflow Possibilities in n8n

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paulo Efraín M. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2026

**What do you like best about n8n?**

Easy to use and intuitive. With the help of AI, you can create insane workflows, and the automatizations in n8n feel like they have endless possibilities. It is FREE!! And you can use all kinds of APIs like Google workspace... It rarely ever bugs.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

I have to rely on an external AI to guide my work. I’m not a coder, so I really do need that kind of AI help, and it’s annoying having to keep switching between tabs. I wish there were something built in to guide me through the process as I go. I do like n8n academy, but an onboarding AI inside the product would be really nice.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I created an AI agent that filters good leads from bad ones, notifies me, and updates my database.

 ### 11. Makes Platform Integrations Easy and Replaces Manual Work

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I like how it makes integrating platforms with each other easy. We used it to replace manual work, especially by integrating online ecommerce marketplaces with our webshop if there is no connection available inside our WMS software.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The fact that you can’t simply let ai create the whole flows perfectly. Like you can create literally everything with for example Claude code.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to replace manual work, especially by integrating online ecommerce marketplaces with our webshop if there is no connection available inside our WMS software. It ads orders to our webshop and syncs back the tracking code when it’s available. And to some platforms it also syncs our stock levels from our webshop to the platform.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I like most about n8n is its flexibility. I can build workflows visually, but I can also drop in JavaScript or use APIs whenever I need more control. It works really well for connecting different tools and automating repetitive tasks, without ever making me feel boxed in or too limited.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The main thing I dislike about n8n is that it becomes harder to manage as workflows get more complex. The UI is intuitive for the basics, but once you’re dealing with larger workflows full of nodes, conditions, and API calls, things can get messy and debugging can take a while. I also wish some of the error messages were more informative, especially when something breaks somewhere in the middle of a workflow and it’s not immediately clear where the failure started. Pricing is another factor as usage grows, although I still think the flexibility and level of control make it good value compared with some alternatives.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n saves me a lot of time by taking repetitive work off my plate, especially when I need to move data between different tools or automate tasks that involve APIs and webhooks. I can connect services, add custom logic when needed, and let workflows run in the background instead of handling the same steps manually over and over. It’s also been useful for WordPress and other website-related work, where different services need to communicate with each other smoothly. The biggest benefit for me is being able to build something fairly quickly without having to develop a separate application for every small automation.

 ### 13. Excellent UI/UX That Makes Workflow Debugging Easy

**What do you like best about n8n?**

Hands down, what I like best about n8n is its UI and UX. The ability to see the connections between the different nodes, how the input becomes the output, and where your flow breaks, makes it much easier to resolve issues, both when you're reviewing the build portion and also looking at a process that has run through it.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

At first it seemed overwhelming, a beast of a program. But it's so well supported, and so much information is available, that it quickly disappeared as a potential problem.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me boost my performance by accomplishing tasks while I'm working on others. It integrates with multiple tools, whether it's Google Docs, Gmail, or Airtable, and makes moving data between them seamless. And the fact that it can be self-hosted at no cost, you can't ask for much better pricing-wise for a small business. It also allows us to pull in different AI models to solve real problems in a simple and intuitive way.

 ### 14. Powerful, Flexible Automation with the Freedom to Self-Host

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I've been using n8n for a few months now, and overall I'm really impressed with it. What I like most is the balance between simplicity and flexibility. You can build basic workflows in minutes using the visual editor, but if you need more advanced logic, it's easy to drop into JavaScript and customize things exactly the way you want.

Compared to some other automation platforms I've used, n8n feels much less restrictive. Being able to self-host it was a big plus for me because it gives more control over data and avoids some of the limitations and pricing models of cloud-only solutions.

The number of integrations is already quite good, and when a connector doesn't exist, the HTTP Request node usually makes it possible to connect to almost any API. I've used it for IT operations, notifications, data synchronization, and a few AI-related workflows without running into major issues.

That said, it's not perfect. Some workflows can become harder to maintain as they grow larger, and occasionally I've had to spend time debugging expressions or node configurations. The documentation is generally helpful, but there were a few situations where I had to search community forums to find the answer.

Overall, n8n has become one of my favorite automation tools. It's powerful enough for complex use cases while still being approachable for people who aren't full-time developers. If you want a workflow automation platform that gives you a lot of freedom without locking you into a specific ecosystem, it's definitely worth trying.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Some workflows can become harder to maintain as they grow larger, and occasionally I've had to spend time debugging expressions or node configurations. The documentation is generally helpful, but there were a few situations where I had to search community forums to find the answer.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offloading data from my website to S3 storage

 ### 15. Open-Source Powerhouse with Great MCP Integration and a Massive Community

**What do you like best about n8n?**

The best part is that its opensource (which means its almost totally free) and the community modules built around it is massive.. Plus The mcp integration it has is great. I literally connect this with my codex and ask it to build the entire n8n workflow to me and it does amazing job.

The Ui is good but I still like the UI of make.com better than this but overall not much complain here.

Regarding Performance, I self host and use it. I hosted this on a $5 vps of netcup and it works pretty well for my use case and never had a problem. I think there can be problem when there are many tasks in queue and for parallelism but for major tasks, there is no issue at all

The good part of n8n is the community it has. I can find tons of people in reddit and discord to support me when I am stuck in any issue. Onboaridng is also much smoother. I would suggest the first task to do is create an api and connect this with codex/claude code and see the magic happen from there

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Make and zapier makes it much easier to connect this with facebook ads but while in case of n8n, its not that easy.

Plus make.com provides a free starter plan to try this out. I wish n8n had some very basic free plan (on cloud) so that it can be easy for beginners to get started with.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use n8n for many things including automation pipeline and many others. I am in to SEO and advertising business. I find n8n very easy to build ai agents which does my entire content research for me. I have content pipelines, automation pipelines all built in here

This would have literally taken me 2-3 people to do this work before who were well paid and now even though they are still in company, there work is totally automated so they can focus on other work effectively saving me really good amount here

Plus the community around is so huge that readymade templates are available everywhere. I literally search in n8n template library and https://n8nworkflows.xyz/ and take many readymade base template and then modify it for my needs. Made my life much easier

**What do you like best about n8n?**

The multiple options to automate tasks. And being a low-code platform for this, as code nodes open a lot of options to create more efficient workflows and connect to other apps that don't have native nodes.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

We use the cloud version, and I really dislike the RAM exhaustion when multiple workflows run. Also, the fact that they never clarify how much RAM your instance has. Also, customer service is only available via email, and 99% of the time, they blame you for the issues the workspace has.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically, fully automating daily tasks and reports. Even if some are workflows that solve 10-min tasks, I know I can go on PTO without thinking about what I'm going to do with those small tasks.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

n8n is the 'Zapier killer' for anyone who values control and privacy. The node-based visual builder is incredibly intuitive, but the real power is in the code nodes—being able to drop in custom JavaScript exactly where you need it is a game changer. Plus, self-hosting means no 'task tax' and total data sovereignty. It’s the ultimate bridge between no-code and full-code automation.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The biggest drawback of n8n is the technical barrier to entry. It's not a 'plug and play' tool; you need a solid grasp of JSON and logic to get the most out of it. Additionally, if you choose the self-hosted route to save money, be prepared for the overhead of server maintenance and the occasional headache during version updates.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Problems n8n is Solving
The "Invisible Glue" Problem: "I use it to orchestrate complex post-authentication lifecycles that would otherwise require dozens of manual scripts and handoffs."

The "Manual Coding Nightmare": "Managing state, conditional branching, and API handoffs between different LLM prompts was becoming a manual coding nightmare."

Data Sovereignty & Security: "Automate sensitive customer data workflows without sending that data to a third-party cloud, which was a dealbreaker for us on other platforms."

Vendor Lock-in & "Ransom Fees": "Workflows are portable JSON files. Teams can move or replicate them without permission or ransom fees."

Fragmented Data Sources: "Connect diverse data sources, and manage workflows without writing code."

How This Benefits Users
Cost Efficiency: "By self-hosting n8n, I can run complex agent loops hundreds of times a day without worrying about the 'per-task' fees that usually come with cloud-based automation."

Technical Sovereignty: "I'm not locked into a single AI provider. I use n8n to switch between OpenAI, Anthropic, or local LLMs via HTTP nodes instantly."

Drastic Latency Reduction: "Instead of one massive, slow AI prompt, I use n8n to break tasks into smaller sub-workflows. This allows for parallel processing and much faster output."

Speed of Development: "I'm able to build extremely powerful workflows in a fraction of the time to build it by code and get it deployed to production."

Compliance & Auditing: "Being able to self-host it in my own Azure tenant means our identity tokens never leave our perimeter. That helps us satisfy strict security audits."

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I appreciate most about n8n is how intuitive and straightforward it is to build automations, even for workflows that involve multiple steps and complex logic. The visual workflow builder makes it easy to design, test, and refine automations without feeling overwhelmed, which has significantly reduced the time I spend on repetitive tasks.

Another standout aspect is the incredibly supportive community. Whenever I've encountered a challenge or needed inspiration, the forums have been full of helpful discussions, practical examples, and solutions shared by experienced users. It's reassuring to know that there's an active community willing to help, making the learning curve much smoother.

The integrations are another major strength. n8n connects seamlessly with many of the apps and services I use every day, allowing data to flow effortlessly between them. This level of compatibility means I can create end-to-end workflows without worrying about complicated setup or compatibility issues. Everything works together reliably, which has improved both my productivity and the consistency of my processes.

Overall, n8n strikes an excellent balance between ease of use, flexibility, and powerful functionality. Combined with its vibrant community and extensive integration capabilities, it has become an indispensable tool for automating workflows and streamlining day-to-day operations.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

One of my biggest frustrations with n8n is its limited support for advanced programming logic. While it's excellent for creating visual workflows, it becomes restrictive when I need to implement more sophisticated logic. Writing complex variable-based scripts, managing reusable variables, or building custom logic isn't as straightforward as it could be.

I also miss the ability to use traditional programming constructs like `for` loops and more flexible control flow. Although there are workarounds using nodes such as Loop Over Items or custom JavaScript in Code nodes, they often feel less intuitive and more cumbersome than writing standard code. This makes complex automations harder to build, maintain, and debug.

For users who want to go beyond basic workflow automation, stronger support for logical scripting, variables, and native looping constructs would make n8n significantly more powerful and developer-friendly.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n helps me automate repetitive tasks without requiring a lot of manual effort or complex coding. Its intuitive visual interface makes it easy to build and manage workflows, even for users who are new to automation.

One of the features I value most is how seamlessly it integrates with Google services and many other popular applications. Connecting different tools is quick and straightforward, allowing information to flow automatically between them and reducing the need for manual data entry.

The availability of prebuilt workflow templates is another major advantage. They provide a great starting point for common use cases, helping me set up automations much faster while also offering ideas for more advanced workflows. Overall, n8n saves me time, improves productivity, and simplifies the process of connecting and automating the apps I use every day.

 ### 19. Automation as Code with Enterprise-Grade Control and Fast No-Code Builds

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I like most is the “Automation as Code” philosophy. As an Azure Architect, I don’t want yet another siloed SaaS tool; I want a platform I can self-host, keep under version control, and extend with custom JavaScript when needed. n8n is the only tool I’ve found that gives me “enterprise-grade” control over my data flows, while still being just as quick to build in as any no-code alternative.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

While n8n is incredibly powerful, it still doesn’t have the “Enterprise-First” deployment rigor I expect as an architect. The manual effort needed to keep environments in sync, along with the “opt-in” approach to error handling, means you have to invest a significant amount of time in Operational Discipline to make it genuinely production-ready. I’d really like to see stronger native version-control integration, as well as a global retry-policy engine.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n solves the “Invisible Glue” problem for me. As an architect, I use it to orchestrate complex post-authentication lifecycles that would otherwise require dozens of manual scripts and handoffs. The biggest benefit is data sovereignty: being able to self-host it in my own Azure tenant means our identity tokens never leave our perimeter. That helps us satisfy strict security audits, while also cutting our automation overhead by nearly 80% compared to Zapier.

 ### 20. Flexible Self-Hosting for Secure, Sensitive Data Automation

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I love the flexibility of the self-hosted version. It allowed our team to automate sensitive customer data workflows without sending that data to a third-party cloud, which was a dealbreaker for us on other platforms.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

What I find most challenging is the steep learning curve for non-developers. While the power is there, the UI can feel overwhelming when trying to map complex JSON data without a background in Javascript.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Problem:
I needed a way to orchestrate multiple "Tiny Agents"—specialized AI workflows that handle specific micro-tasks—without the massive overhead and cost of traditional enterprise automation platforms. Managing state, conditional branching, and API handoffs between different LLM prompts was becoming a manual coding nightmare.

The Solution & Benefits:
n8n provides the perfect "orchestration layer" for my AI agents. By using its node-based logic, I’ve been able to:

Drastically Reduce Latency: Instead of one massive, slow AI prompt, I use n8n to break tasks into smaller sub-workflows. This allows for parallel processing and much faster output.

Cost Efficiency: By self-hosting n8n, I can run complex agent loops hundreds of times a day without worrying about the "per-task" fees that usually come with cloud-based automation.

Technical Sovereignty: I’m not locked into a single AI provider. I use n8n to switch between OpenAI, Anthropic, or local LLMs via HTTP nodes instantly, depending on the task’s complexity.

The Result:
What used to take an hour of manual prompting and data "copy-pasting" is now a fully autonomous orchestration. It has turned a proof-of-concept into a reliable production tool while keeping my operational costs nearly at zero.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

This is one of the best and easiest ways to implement AI workflows without needing extensive technical knowledge or a deep understanding of AI concepts. Interestingly, it also helped me learn and apply AI concepts such as Agents and LLMs.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The licensing for this application can be somewhat confusing and tends to be on the expensive side. While the software is still evolving, it has yet to fully mature for large-scale enterprise deployments, particularly in areas where governance, privacy, and security are critical—especially given the current landscape of AI.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N8N streamlines our marketing department's workflow by automating several tasks, such as scanning incoming emails and organizing them into either Important or Junk folders. We also make use of N8N to produce marketing content, particularly articles. The automation of the entire article creation process allows us to consistently publish new articles every week, each one focusing on trending topics that are timely for the month. We also use it to create AI use case based POCs which demonstrates short time to market capabilities of this product to out clients.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

The power it gave me to build AI workflows when other tools had limitations. Self hosting the community edition is a big + for my solo projects.
There is a big of a learning curve but it is actually healthy as it helped me learn concepts like JSON, javascript, to really understand how integrations work

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

So there are a couple of things that could be improved. For the AI integrations, we still aren't able to fully customize the settings of the AI models that we use. For example, GPT-5 has been released quite a while ago with new parameters like minimal reasoning or verbose, which are elements we still cannot edit when using OpenAI as a chat model. I must say that the cloud instances have very limited power and crash a lot when processing lots of data.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I basically build full backends for my SaaS with any 10 at almost zero cost and with a great depth.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I like most about n8n is that it gives me the power of a low-code tool without boxing me in. The visual workflow builder is easy to pick up, so getting my first automations live didn’t take long. At the same time, it still lets me build fairly complex logic when I need it. Once a workflow is set up, it just runs in the background and stays out of the way, which means it’s something I actually use regularly instead of only testing once and then forgetting about it.

I also appreciate how many features and integrations are available out of the box. Connecting different tools is usually straightforward, and when something isn’t supported directly, calling custom APIs is still simple enough to do. The documentation and community support have been helpful as well, especially when I’m trying to tackle something a bit more advanced.

Overall, n8n hits a sweet spot between ease of use, flexibility, and straightforward implementation and integration—something I haven’t really found in other automation platforms.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

I wouldn’t say I “dislike” n8n, but it does have a few rough edges. The learning curve can feel pretty steep at the beginning, especially if you’re not already comfortable with APIs or other automation tools. Some nodes and error messages come across as quite technical, so getting more complex workflows to run exactly the way you want can take some trial and error.

Overall, performance and stability are solid, but I do occasionally run into small bugs or editor quirks that break my momentum. The documentation has improved a lot, which I appreciate, yet there are still times when I wish it included more real-world examples or clearer guidance for advanced use cases.

None of this is a deal-breaker for me, but these are the main areas where I think n8n still has room to grow.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n has significantly helped me automate many manual, repetitive tasks that used to take up a lot of my time. Tasks like transferring data between tools, triggering follow-up actions when specific events occur, and keeping different systems synchronized are now handled automatically, instead of me doing everything manually.

From a business perspective, it has reduced the time I spend on low-value tasks and made my processes more reliable. Workflows that previously depended on me remembering to perform tasks are now consistent, trackable, and easier to oversee. It has also made it easier to experiment with new ideas because I can quickly set up an automation, test it, and make adjustments without needing to know how to be a developer.

Overall, n8n helps me move faster, reduce errors, and get more value out of the tools I already use.

 ### 24. Best-in-Class UI and Flexible Self-Hosting for Powerful Automations

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I love the UI, best tool on the market, in comparison to Make or Zapier. We can self-host it, setting the limits far higher.
The number of integration is far enough, and to play with the HTTP request additionnaly is nice enough.

The fact that we can easely integrate javascript is very helpful.
Over the recent years, n8n has helped us getting deeper into using IA, which is absolutely necessary.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The online documentation is not good enough, fortunately n8n gave us an AI RAG tool to discuss with the documentation, making it way better.

Also, it feels like we miss templates, to understand how people used specific tools. For now it feels like the template are pretty much the same, too simple for real company usecases

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Company problems, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, AI generation

**What do you like best about n8n?**

Oh, ease of use. Unlimited posibilities. Having the code nodes gives incredible flexibility to do whatever I need. What it used to take FOREVER to do with MULE like 20 years ago, now it takes you minutes to accomplish. Having so many nodes allowing you to integrate with plenty of systems is super useful. Being able to plug AI into the flow to make decisions is also super valuable.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

I wouldn't say I dislike something about N8N, but I have ran into issues when setting up nodes, as the documentation in Chat GPT is not accurate.
But that is not N8N's fault.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating reports we receive by email.
Spotting errors in emails and reply back automatically.
Check information we receive by email against our backend.
Being able to send alerts on Slack whenever we identify an issue.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

There are a whole lot of nodes to work with for every service and workflow. It’s open source, which makes it possible to self-host on our servers and connect it to a custom domain. Automation can be implemented to cover more than enough business requirements.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Some people may find it difficult to authenticate with the service providers. Notion, Google, and similar service nodes can also be challenging for a beginner to set up.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anything that involves repetitive work can be automated with n8n. Gmail didn’t have an option to delete all emails at once, so I connected my Gmail account and set up a trigger to delete 100 emails every 30 minutes. I also have the backend for my news website fully automated with n8n, including the content pipeline.

 ### 27. n8n’s Flexible, Open-Source Automation That Puts You in Control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I really like n8n for several reasons. It’s incredibly flexible and lets you build complex, multi-step workflows that fit your exact needs, which is great if you want to connect different APIs and customize logic. I also appreciate that it’s open-source, so you can self-host, extend it with custom nodes, and have full control over your workflows. It’s very cost-effective, especially for smaller teams or personal projects, and the community is active, so there’s a lot of shared knowledge, examples, and support. On top of that, it balances no-code and low-code features nicely, allowing people to build useful automations without needing to write everything from scratch, while still giving advanced users the option to code where needed.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Some popular apps don’t have built-in nodes, so integrations can require extra setup. Performance can lag with very complex or data-heavy workflows, particularly if the instance isn’t optimized, but the flexibility, control, and cost-effectiveness tend to outweigh these challenges for someone focused on AI automation and custom solutions.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n is solving the problem of connecting different apps, APIs, and data sources in a way that’s flexible and fully customizable. Instead of relying on rigid templates or limited workflows, it allows me to design multi-step automations that fit the exact process I need.

 ### 28. Add AI Automation Without Coding—Fast, Flexible, and Powerful

**What do you like best about n8n?**

i like about n8n is i can use deterministic workflows for reliability and AI agents only where reasoning is needed. That’s probably more practical than the “fully autonomous agent” hype everywhere right now

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

One thing n8n can definitely improve is the deployment experience. Building workflows is easy and powerful, but deploying and maintaining n8n in production is still quite complicated.

Setting up Docker, SSL, reverse proxy, Redis, workers, environment variables, and scaling takes a lot of technical effort, especially for small teams or non-DevOps users. Sometimes even small configuration mistakes can break executions or webhooks.

I’d love to see:

simpler one-click deployment
easier cloud/VPS setup
built-in scaling and monitoring
simpler backup & restore options
better error debugging/log visibility
smoother setup for queue/workers mode

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I developed an app to analyze product ingredients. For the backend, I use n8n. In the n8n workflow, I call Gemini to scan the product and analyze its ingredients, then identify which ingredients are harmful and which are healthy, and return the results to the user.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I like the out-of-the-box features of n8n, especially its integration capabilities with the majority of popular software available online. The test executions and the history of executions make debugging really easy. Also, working with the MCP offered as a third-party solution is very straightforward for creating new workflows, particularly with the usage of large language models.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Well, until we set up the automated error handling, notifications to Teams, there were occasions where we missed some workflow was working, but then, for example, some API format have changed or new documents have arrived and was not properly handled by our workflows. And then the workflow was dead for a couple of days. So maybe some things about error handling that could be built in, like email notifications. And then the backup solution, we had an opportunity where the virtual machine that hosts n8n was deleted, and then we struggled a little bit with reverting the n8n configuration from the backup.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use n8n for Teams integration, sending alerts and error notifications directly. It also automates invoice processing with OCR, extracting data and syncing with our accounting software, saving time on manual tasks.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

No code integration with a lot of SaaS in the world, no reinventing the wheel It's depend on your own prompt and what tools you gave n8n - so it's more like user/builder bears the full responsibility - if anything is good/bad - it isn't n8n's merid/fault.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

When your workflow gets complex it becomes impossible to refactor or you get vendor locked in. Business/Enterprise pricing is not worth the money

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It connects to a lot of different SaaS systems that the company uses, without the need to code a lot of the reusable logics in various business workflows

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I like best about n8n is its flexibility and ability to integrate with tools like OpenClaw. We’ve been able to automate a large portion of our ad creation process, which has significantly improved efficiency and reduced manual workload.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

There is a bit of a learning curve when setting up automations, especially for more complex workflows. However, with ChatGPT or Claude, it’s relatively easy to troubleshoot and build out each step effectively.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n is solving the problem of manual and time-consuming ad production. We integrated it with an OpenClaw agent and we’ve automated copy creation, creative generation, and Meta ad setup, allowing us to save time, scale faster, and focus more on strategy instead of execution.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I use n8n every single day and it has completely transformed how I automate workflows. The visual node-based editor makes it incredibly intuitive to build complex automations, and the constantly growing library of integrations means I can connect virtually any tool I use. What I love most is that the team keeps shipping new features regularly, there's always something new to learn and explore, which keeps the experience fresh and exciting. The flexibility to self-host is a huge plus too.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The learning curve can be a bit steep for newcomers who are just getting started with automation. Some advanced features and configurations require diving into documentation, which could be more beginner-friendly. Error messages could also be more descriptive at times to help with faster debugging. That said, these are minor points and the active community and improving docs help a lot.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n has eliminated countless hours of manual, repetitive tasks by automating workflows across multiple tools and services. Before n8n, connecting different apps and services required expensive third-party services or custom code. Now I can build powerful automations myself, saving significant time and reducing errors. It has also helped me stay on top of new integrations and automation patterns, as I learn something new about the platform every day.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I use n8n for automating posts to social media, and it really saves me time. I like that it's open source and free. It integrates nicely with most social media platforms, allowing the scripts to run smoothly. The initial setup was very easy too.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Some platforms aren't supported as well or were hard to implement. I think most issues are due to providers, but I do wish it was easier to test the flows.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I really value that n8n lets me automate workflow processes from complete business operations without spending a lot of time coding. It's great having a no-code platform to build automations. Another plus is the ability to host on local servers, providing security and saving costs compared to depending on cloud servers. Hosting locally means I don't have to worry about credit limits or token usage, which is a big benefit for me. These features make n8n stand out in this field.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

It's a bit complex. I understand the reasoning or the objective is to make it simpler, and it already is compared to coding. But it's still not easier for nontechnical people to jump in. I've seen many nontechnical people take more time to get the hang of it compared to other no-code platforms.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n automates processes requiring manual intervention, saving time and improving efficiency. It's a no-code platform reducing development time from months to days and offers secure, cost-saving local hosting.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

n8n is the most powerful and flexible workflow automation tool I have used, and the self-hosted option makes it a game changer for cost-conscious freelancers and agencies. The node-based visual interface makes it easy to build complex multi-step automation pipelines — connecting APIs, webhooks, databases, and AI models — without writing full application code. What I love most is the ability to write custom JavaScript directly inside nodes when I need logic that goes beyond what standard configurations offer, which gives me full control over data transformation mid-workflow. The Apify integration works seamlessly — I trigger Actor runs via HTTP Request nodes and receive enriched lead data back through webhooks, which then flows automatically into Google Sheets or a CRM. The community node library is also massive, with pre-built integrations for almost every tool I use including WhatsApp Business API, Shopify, Gmail, and Airtable. Compared to Make or Zapier, n8n gives significantly more flexibility and value, especially when self-hosted on a VPS where there are no execution limits or per-task charges. It has become the backbone of every automation pipeline I build for clients.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The initial self-hosting setup on a VPS using Docker has a noticeable learning curve, especially for configuring SSL, environment variables, and persistent storage correctly. For beginners without a DevOps background, this can be a frustrating first experience. The official documentation covers the basics but lacks depth for advanced deployment scenarios and edge cases.

Performance can also be a concern on complex workflows with many nodes running simultaneously — memory usage spikes noticeably on lower-spec servers, which means you need to size your VPS carefully or risk workflows slowing down or crashing mid-execution on high-volume jobs.

The error handling and debugging experience could be significantly improved. When a workflow fails, pinpointing the exact node and data state that caused the issue requires manually inspecting execution logs, which is time-consuming on large pipelines. A more visual and interactive debugging mode would be a major improvement. Customer support response times on the community plan are also slow — most help comes from the community forum rather than official support, which means resolution time depends entirely on community availability. For paid users the experience is better, but the free tier support gap is noticeable.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using n8n, I was manually connecting different tools and APIs for every client project, which meant repetitive setup work, constant copy-pasting of data between platforms, and a high risk of human error. Each new automation required either expensive SaaS tools with per-task pricing or custom code that took days to build and maintain.

n8n solved this by giving me a single visual platform where I can build end-to-end automated pipelines that run 24/7 without any manual intervention. I now handle lead scraping with Apify, data enrichment, CRM entry, email outreach, WhatsApp notifications, and reporting — all inside one connected n8n workflow. What previously took 3 to 4 hours of manual work per client project now executes automatically in under 20 minutes.

The self-hosted model on a VPS means I pay a flat server cost with zero per-execution charges, which makes it dramatically more cost-effective than Make or Zapier at scale. For a freelance automation specialist managing multiple client pipelines simultaneously, this has directly increased my capacity to take on more projects and deliver faster results. n8n has essentially become my core business infrastructure — every client automation I build runs through it.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I like most about n8n is that I can use it without needing to pay for it, basically I can set it up on my own server, on-premise or on AVPS, have reduced costs, and have effective control over how it uses my entire environment and resources. I especially value the control of variables, doing the routing so that when it receives data, I can already read this data within n8n itself. I truly value the overall flexibility and possibilities that n8n brings me.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The user experience in n8n is sometimes not so smooth, I would like to have it also in the native language in Portuguese, to make it easier.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use n8n as an intermediary integrator in integrations where other tools cannot natively, such as creating contracts in ClickUp and updating statuses, generating reports, and integrating CRM, billing, and social media data.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I self-host n8n and mostly taught myself through YouTube, which says a lot about the learning curve: it’s real, but it’s worth it. I’ve built job-search workflows that tie Gmail, Google Sheets, Telegram, and TickTick into a single pipeline. Applications get tracked, follow-ups get triggered, and resume tweaks get generated automatically. What used to take me an hour of manual work now runs quietly in the background.

The visual workflow builder is genuinely intuitive once it clicks. Connecting nodes between apps feels logical, and the error handling is clear enough that debugging doesn’t turn into a nightmare.

Self-hosting also gives you full control over your data, which matters depending on what you’re automating. The trade-off is that setup and maintenance are on you. There’s no hand-holding, and some integrations take more configuration than others.

For the price (free if self-hosted), the ceiling on what you can build is remarkably high. It’s not a tool for everyone, but if you’re comfortable figuring things out, it’s one of the most powerful automation platforms available.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The learning curve is real, and if you're self-hosting, it's steeper. There's no onboarding, no support team walking you through setup, and no shortcuts. I taught myself through YouTube, which worked, but it took time. Coming in without API experience will slow you down significantly. Things like authentication flows, webhook configuration, and data mapping assume a baseline that the docs don't always spell out.

Small UX gripe: retry on error should be enabled by default. It's a minor thing, but when you're debugging a workflow at midnight, finding out that setting was off the whole time is frustrating.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Repetitive, multi-step tasks that used to require me to bounce between five different apps. I built a job search automation stack that connects Gmail, Google Sheets, Telegram, and TickTick into a single pipeline. Applications get logged, follow-up tasks get created, and I get AI-assisted resume tweaks without doing any of it manually.

The core benefit is time. I'm moving faster through my job search than I would be otherwise, and I'm not dropping balls because the workflow catches things for me. It's the closest thing I've found to having an assistant without hiring one.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I love how flexible it is. honestly, being able to host it myself is a huge win for privacy and costs. the workflow builder is actually fun to use and does not feel as clunky as some of the other automation tools out there. it just works.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The learning curve can be a bit much if you are not a dev. some of the nodes are a little confusing to set up at first, and I wish there were more built in templates for simpler stuff so I would not have to build everything from scratch every time.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It basically glues all my apps together so I do not have to do boring manual data entry. It saves me a ton of time every week because I can just set an automation and forget about it. plus it saves me money since I do not have to pay for a million different subscriptions.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I like that n8n lets me connect different steps, like API calls, data processing and triggers in a single flow. In one case, I built a workflow that handled enrichment, filtering and email output together. It's not the smoothest while building, but once it runs, it's quite useful for automating repetitive tasks.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The downside for me is that it's not very straightforward when things go wrong. Debugging takes time, especially in bigger workflows. Also, some nodes need a bit of trial and error to set up properly. It's not a deal breaker, but it can slow you down while building.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, n8n solves the issue of connecting different systems without writing full backend logic every time. I used it to automate a multi-step process involving APIs and email, which earlier required manual steps. Now it runs in one flow, which makes things faster and more consistent.

 ### 42. n8n: flexible and powerful, with two expected improvements

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I appreciate most about n8n is its flexibility and power. The tool allows for the creation of complex automations while remaining relatively easy to use. The wide variety of integrations, the visual logic of workflows, and the customization possibilities make it a very effective solution for automating business processes. It is a reliable, scalable tool well-suited to both technical needs and more functional uses.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

However, I still miss two small features to achieve absolute automated happiness 😊

1. Management and saving of credentials
It would be very appreciated to be able to save the credentials either locally or on the network, in order to easily re-import them in case of server change, migration, or crash (which we obviously prefer to avoid, but you never know).

2. Organization of the canvas
I love workflows that breathe order and serenity. A feature allowing:

- to align a group of nodes vertically, horizontally (or both),

- and to set a regular spacing between the selected nodes (vertical or horizontal),

would make the canvas even more pleasant to use... and would greatly please fans of well-organized workflows, of which I am one 🙂

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I generally use n8n for all types of automations. It serves me well for batch processing, scheduled flows, and webhooks, which I increasingly use as a true backend for my front-end applications.

The flexibility of the tool allows for building complex logics, centralizing integrations, and easily evolving workflows according to needs. n8n naturally integrates into a modern architecture and quickly becomes an essential component of the application ecosystem.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

What I like most about n8n is the amount of control it gives me compared to typical automation tools. The visual workflow builder is straightforward to follow, yet it still lets you add custom logic, write code, and make API calls whenever you need to.

Being able to self-host it is a major advantage, especially for privacy and keeping costs under control. Overall, it feels more flexible than tools like Zapier when I want to build more complex workflows.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The main downside is that it has a learning curve, especially if you’re not familiar with APIs or workflow logic. Setting up more advanced automations can take time.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n helps solve the problem of repetitive manual tasks across different tools by letting me automate workflows such as data syncing, notifications, and integrations between apps. This benefits me because it saves time and reduces the need to manually manage the same repetitive processes over and over.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I love n8n's capability to handle any sort of automation I can imagine. It's amazing I use it every day to get notifications for new leads and connect automations to Google Sheets and my VAPI voice bots. It also integrates with every other app effortlessly, and if an app isn't integrated already, I can easily configure it using JSON or other APIs. I consider n8n more capable and affordable compared to alternatives like Zapier, and this switch has made my life easier. Also, setting it up was very simple.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

There is nothing that I dislike about n8n. It's an amazing product and I highly recommend it!

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use n8n to get notifications for new leads and to connect my automations to Google Sheets. It triggers ongoing and outgoing calls for my VAPI voice bots.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

With n8n you can integrate pretty much any tool if there's an API available for it, I've integrated mutliple tools using it... for which I would've had to wait on developers otherwise.

Plus, you can connect multiple AI Models, and kind of bring in AI Agents in workflow, be it for research or task executions like Posting on Social Media, Newsletters etc.

And, you can find tons of workflow templates on their marketplace (plus, n8n being widely known, you can find tons of templates that can be implemented in your business e.g. AI Newsletter Creation, Automated Outreach, Social Media Posting etc.)

Best part, they also have a community edition that you can host on your server (when you only pay for server cost)

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Nothing that I can think of at the moment for this if we exclude learning it takes a bit of time, and you need to know a bit of API things to make the most out of it.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating multiple tools for a smoother workflow (it has helped speed up the execution speed, as there's slightly less reliance on developers to do all the integrations with multiple tools).

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

n8n is simply outstanding for anyone who needs serious, flexible automation. As the founder of ScribaVerse, an Italian digital publishing platform, I adopted n8n to automate our editorial and operational workflows. The visual node-based workflow editor is incredibly intuitive yet powerful: you can build complex multi-step automations, branching logic, and even full AI agents with just a few nodes. What sets n8n apart is the unique combination of a low-code interface and the ability to write custom JavaScript or Python expressions whenever the visual approach isn't enough. The self-hosting option is a huge plus for privacy and cost control — we run n8n on our own infrastructure at ScribaVerse, which gives us complete data ownership. The most impressive feature is the AI/LangChain integration: I built an AI agent that handles author inquiries automatically, classifying messages by topic and generating contextual responses. This saved hours of manual work daily. The community is outstanding: the official forum is active, documentation is thorough, and there's a constantly growing library of workflow templates.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

The initial learning curve can be steep for non-technical users — especially when dealing with advanced concepts like expressions, data transformation, or setting up self-hosted instances with Docker. At ScribaVerse, onboarding collaborators to n8n took some time because the expression syntax and data structure manipulation require a solid understanding of JavaScript. The error messages, while useful for developers, can be cryptic for less technical users. The cloud (n8n.cloud) pricing escalates quickly at higher execution volumes, which is why we chose to self-host. Some nodes still lack comprehensive documentation, so for less common integrations you occasionally have to dig through community posts. The UI also tends to slow down when workflows grow beyond 40-50 nodes. Finally, there is no built-in version control for workflows, which made rollback management somewhat challenging.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At ScribaVerse, we use n8n to solve several critical operational challenges. The core problem was managing high volumes of author communications and editorial workflows efficiently. Using n8n, I built an AI-powered communication pipeline: incoming author inquiries are captured via webhook, processed through an LLM node for intent classification and response drafting, then automatically replied or escalated based on context. This reduced manual handling significantly, freeing time for higher-value work. Beyond communications, we also use n8n to: (1) synchronize author and book data between our Supabase database and external tools in real-time; (2) automate weekly editorial reports aggregating data from multiple sources; (3) trigger automated onboarding sequences for new authors joining ScribaVerse, sending personalized welcome emails and platform guides. Overall, n8n has become the operational backbone of ScribaVerse, eliminating hundreds of manual operations per week and dramatically reducing human error in our publishing workflows.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

I like how easy n8n is to set up, and I appreciate that we don't have to code every single thing. n8n provides all the nodes we need, and if there are any nodes that aren't available, we can easily add them using the API node or the code node. It’s also great for creating AI automations to enrich leads with emails and phone numbers, even if the automation requires custom API setups. Adding nodes like the Google Sheets node to enrich data and assist the SDR team with outreach is really beneficial.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

Nothing as such, If you need anything more than n8n then probably custom code is the best option for you

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use n8n to automate repeated tasks in my workflow, like data syncing between applications, and enrich leads with emails and phone numbers efficiently.

**What do you like best about n8n?**

n8n lets you connect apps, APIs, databases, and AI models into automated workflows using a visual node-based editor. Each node represents a step like triggering events, transforming data, or calling APIs.Unlike many tools, n8n doesn’t limit complex workflows or charge per step. This is why many AI engineers and companies prefer n8n.

**What do you dislike about n8n?**

n8n has a steeper learning curve compared to tools like Zapier, workflows can become complex and harder to debug as they grow, self-hosting requires ongoing maintenance and infrastructure management, and some integrations are less polished or community-maintained.

**What problems is n8n solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n8n addresses key engineering challenges related to system integration, workflow automation, and AI orchestration. Modern engineering environments often involve multiple services, APIs, cloud platforms, and data pipelines that require significant manual effort to integrate and maintain. n8n solves this by providing a low-code, node-based workflow engine that enables engineers to design, automate, and orchestrate complex processes across heterogeneous systems. This reduces development time, minimizes boilerplate integration code, and improves system reliability through reusable and modular workflows.

From an engineering perspective, the benefits include faster prototyping, improved scalability, and reduced operational overhead. Engineers can rapidly build automation pipelines for data ingestion, AI model orchestration, monitoring, and event-driven architectures without developing custom middleware.
