**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2018

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

Features like command prompt are a differentiator for support front and solving more complex problems. The organization is very good and intuitive to use, with a few more additions it has everything to be the perfect solution for IT professionals, more specifically helpdesk and service desk.

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

It is necessary to add to the technology a better-targeted customer management. As proposed by the startup TIFLUX.

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 3. the best remote control solution with the easiest administration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

the administration that gives the technicians is surprising, I can have detailed session history and gives me the option to save everything in video as well as send a satisfaction survey at the end of the session, also I can have reports on the performance of the technicians and know from who is the one that attends more sessions as well as who is the one that takes more time in a session

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

I still can not adapt in its entirety to the new version of the administration console, previously I had defined the reports that I exported and some disappeared with the new console, I also did not find the panel where I could see the tencicos with active sessions (previously I had a monitor where I could see which technicians were in session)

**Recommendations to others considering N-able Take Control:**

it is simple, friendly and easy to use, the administration it has, the reports and other functions that can be configured is an added value that is very worthwhile.

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

with other solutions I did not know what the technicians did when giving support, now I can have in detail and in video the remote session as well as the chat and everything related

  ### 4. Reviewing Solrawinds Take Control an MSP remote help desk and remote desktop platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2018

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

I've benn using this for about 3 years now as an MSP. it was originally called Beanywhere and was a very good alternative to certain high priced remote platforms we wont mention here, then it was acquired by SolarWinds which made it part of a bigger stronger company. and the software got some updates and ugraded features which are very much in need in todays MSP Market. The interface is easy on the eyes and quite customizable by the MSP for the end user. it's quite easy to deploy and use even if you have a beginner user on the other end. I would recommend testing or acquiring licenses to MSP's or tech support companies i think it's a very good platform and i have no plan to change or stop using it.

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

Some of the dialog boxed only work by mouse click, keyboard doesn't work on yes/no dialog box, maybe it's just me but i've tried on several different pc's with different versions of Windows and same thing happens.

**Recommendations to others considering N-able Take Control:**

This is the way to go, you can access track log all of your remote sessions, capture screenshot transfer files etc. at less cost than most other platforms.

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me an advantage i can respond quickly , even to a customer that is new to our firm
i can transfer files back and forth, remote reboot pc's and servers.

  ### 5. Love Take Control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

Makes remote controlling very efficient you have all the tools you need into a single console. Your sessions are recorded, you can enable two factor authentication, transfer a remote session to another technician, the file transfer resume from where it left.

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

When taking control of a customer machine, the background changes from a picture to a solid black background. I think it is to minimise the network traffic but a bit inconvenient.

**Recommendations to others considering N-able Take Control:**

A perfect solution for ad-hoc remote support if you are already using any other SolarWinds products.

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Take Control for all our pay as you customers for ad-hoc remote support.

  ### 6. Very nice control Program for managing supporting computers and users

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2018

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

The program when it is working loads in the background as one of the first things so you can at times see things in the boot up process that might be the key to knowing what is going wrong with the computer.

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

I have had occasion where it would not work on a computer for no apparent reason. Uninstalling and re-installing does not fix the problem.

**Recommendations to others considering N-able Take Control:**

Cost wise it is a wise choice. Feature wise it is a wise choice.

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User issues with Software. Computer updates and problem resolution. If the computer can reach the Internet you are typically in good shape!

  ### 7. One of the better remote software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam A. | Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

I like that you can transfer files by drag and drop now, I like the remote access portion, most importantly I love the calling card feature

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

The mouse handling on the app, and also the inability to leave the app and come back without being disconnected. It also does not have the LOGMEIN function of auto login and auto ctrl-alt-delete.

**Recommendations to others considering N-able Take Control:**

Price point and upgrade are definitely on the roadmap

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's better than Splashtop. It's almost as good as Logmein. I solve remote access to my clients via mobile device which no RMM does

  ### 8. Best Monitoring Software ever!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim C. | internee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2018

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

Everything is perfect except for Backup. We needed a separate Solarwinds product.

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

We had some Mac-users or linux users and they cannot use the benefits of the Solarwinds Back-up. Also it would be better if we can Have Asset Tracking Only for Mac aswell

**Recommendations to others considering N-able Take Control:**

More Mac or linux compatibility and the ability for silent install, group policy install. Also I want to see the back-up solution assail in Takecontrol

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a full replacement of Teamviewer and we equip it standard on the fleet of agents. It's much easier to make changes with this screen.

  ### 9. Great so far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2018

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

So far it has been vastly superior to the original program we used, LogMeIn; it's been much quicker, it has less extraneous stuff that slows everything down and less obtrusive toolbars and commands

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

We haven't been using it for to long so I can't say anything particularly negative about the program yet; it has had a few login hiccups, though it's difficult to tell if that's due to the clients network or the program itself.

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pretty much anything that requires remote connection, checking program setups on the target machine, etc.

  ### 10. Awesome management but not so fast connection

The management site and the console app are awesome. Easy to use and safe. The way that PCs are displayed and information about them are very

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

problems with instability and low quality connections forced us to move to another software. Also File Transfer UI could be better.

**Recommendations to others considering N-able Take Control:**

It's a good way to "Take Control" of your devices and also help your costummers in their issues.

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company develops software and we need access remote PCs to install update, solve issues and help users.

I enjoy the small footprint of the program.

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

It is difficult to re-open if you minimize it. You have to actually launch it from the system tray as opposed to the taskbar, even if it is already running in the background. Very odd, but I work around it.

**Recommendations to others considering N-able Take Control:**

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 49. Used to Be Affordable

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark O. | Owner, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2016

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

When this software belonged to a little company called BeAnywhere it was everything that an independent IT person wanted. You could call and talk to a person in techsupport and the software was very affordable even in it's enterprise function.

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

Since it's acquisition by the conglomerate, greedy and overpriced MSP the software has doubled in price, you have to sign contracts and the company is difficult to communicate with. The package is pretty much the same and I used it faithfully for almost 10 years but now it's fallen into the hands of a company that has a reputation for overcharging for their services. There are still a great deal of IT software solutions out there that don't cost an arm and a leg that out perform their software and service.

**Recommendations to others considering N-able Take Control:**

The competition offers the same for less and there are many to choose from. Find one you like best and go with pricing because they all pretty much have the same features.

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote connectivity to my clients is very important to my business and is a standard in the industry now

**What do you like best about N-able Take Control?**

Its relatively easy to remote into clients computers with MSP anywhere

**What do you dislike about N-able Take Control?**

This isnt really MSP anywheres fault, but end users find it hard to understand the whole remote session thing and sometimes worry that we will get into their PCs even though we are a decent sized reputable company.

**What problems is N-able Take Control solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its relatively easy to remote into clients computers with MSP anywhere.
We can also do phone support a lot easy and charge hourly for it.
