MySchool is used by school networks with 50,000 students to small independent schools, primarily in Canada, the USA & Europe. No software to install - all you need is a web browser. There is so much this system can do that we are slow to fully utilize this system but we are getting there. **What problems is MySchool Student Information System solving and how is that benefiting you?** During these times of at home learning we have used the system for keeping track of attendance. We have also used reports to download student addresses and emails making it easy for student family contact. The support is quick and efficient **What do you dislike about MySchool Student Information System?** There were issues with the loading times (which has been addressed) and crashes which can be inconvenient when trying to prepare the school year. **Recommendations to others considering MySchool Student Information System:** The system is easy to understand even for IT beginners and software amateurs with very helpful support if there is something users don't understand. It includes functions for student, course, school, staff management and generating reports and so on. **What problems is MySchool Student Information System solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to systematically place students to their respective classes and courses as well as have grades and reports generated is a huge benefit. Also, the ability for staff like lecturers to do updates of assignments or student reports saves a lot of time for the administration. ### 4. It addresses tasks that typically are the time-stealers and frustration-causers and makes so many day-to-day operations quicker and easier. **What do you dislike about MySchool Student Information System?** MS is a relatively new platform that is still in active development. On-boarding and setup were not straightforward and bugs are encountered from time to time. **Recommendations to others considering MySchool Student Information System:** The MS team is very responsive to customers who know what they want. Be clear about your systems and processes before you begin to set up a MS platform. Although the system itself is intuitive, the vocabulary is not at all. Certain concepts, like the difference between a "subject", "class" and "course", are foundational to using MySchool but are poorly documented. Ask your onboard representative LOTS of questions about WHAT things are, since you are unlikely to easily figure them out yourself. **What problems is MySchool Student Information System solving and how is that benefiting you?** -MS provides a truly customizable reporting platform that serves our unique needs perfectly. -The Information system is quick to navigate and simplifies administrative tasks and communication. - The online portal for students and parents is becoming a hub for directional communication that is replacing paper and email-based interactions. ### 5. As we grow, we find more and more that the program will do for us to automate so many of our processes. **What do you dislike about MySchool Student Information System?** I wish it had a more comprehensive manual so that I could discover more about the program. The help process is very useful but I would prefer a full manual. **Recommendations to others considering MySchool Student Information System:** Make full use of the support system. They are very knowledgeable and fast getting back to you. It will save you hours of frustration -- even if you like to solve your own problems like me. **What problems is MySchool Student Information System solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a small startup, we are not using the program to its full possibilities. We use the biographical, attendance, and grades. We are not making full use of the timetable section or tracking prospective parents. ### 6. This means we are losing out on what could be a great feature of MySchool. 2) When issuing invoices, bills are not automatically generated based on courses that a student is enrolled for. **Recommendations to others considering MySchool Student Information System:** You it's worth taking the time to be given a good, thorough tutorial on how to use MySchool in order to fully exploit its features. **What problems is MySchool Student Information System solving and how is that benefiting you?** On an administrative level it has made it a lot easier to keep track of student data. ### 7. Our students are able to view their timetables, assignments, grades at anytime with their devices. **What do you dislike about MySchool Student Information System?** Currently unable to import our timetable schedules into MySchool - have to enter it all manually (PS - Gr. 12). Find some glitches when users access system via certain smartphones (the newer version of MySchool should fix this). The wait time on having requested features implemented is often longer than expected. **Recommendations to others considering MySchool Student Information System:** Look into how your yearly rollover would work with MySchool. Consider the time difference between your location and the MySchool team in Malta (responses to your support tickets). **What problems is MySchool Student Information System solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ease of creating report cards compared to our last school system is great! ### 8. Fast support, high reliability, high competence, log in of future updates requests - The variety of functionalities available (from registration to payments, module content sharing, reporting system, assignments sharing, mentoring, ecc.) **What do you dislike about MySchool Student Information System?** - The student can interact very little with the system (for example, no files can be uploaded from the student side, Turnitin cannot be integrated, the student mainly has "viewing" rights in the system only) - Although the team does great work to try to adapt the system to the school requirements, the setup is quite rigid - Lack of coordination between the modules (if a student is added to a module, it will not be automatically added to the course materials of that module). We also find that the knowledge that parents are following their chidlren's progress means teachers are more motivated to be regular in their marking. Discipline is easier with constant follow-up and tracking. ### 10. I know its a user end issue but if there is any way not to have duplicate accounts that would be so great. **Recommendations to others considering MySchool Student Information System:** Definitely go for it. We originally chose MySchool just for attendance purposes, but I'm especially excited to use some of the resources on top of attendance. ### 12. They continue to innovate to support our school. **What do you dislike about MySchool Student Information System?** Road Map is not public, but this is something they are working on. **Recommendations to others considering MySchool Student Information System:** Conversations with the leaders of this company will allow anyone to be comfortable adopting the solution. **What problems is MySchool Student Information System solving and how is that benefiting you?** This solution has replaced the need for us to have software for Forms, Parent Teacher Coordination, Transportation Management, Event management (*This is something that needs some attention). The reporting and flexibility of the system allows teams to do most of the work on their own. ### 13.
